The Troy Saga

EPIC The Musical | Saga Released Dec. 25, 2022 - Overview By Hio club 'The Wonderful Winions' 2025

✦ The Horse and The Infant ✦ Just A Man ✦ Full Speed Ahead ✦ Open Arms ✦ Warrior Of The Mind Reducio idk what's supposed to go here, first journey of odysseus, woo hoo!

The Horse and the Infant Reducio This is the opening number of Epic, the musical, and sets the stage in a powerful way, on what would ideally be the last day of a ten year old war. Odysseus starts off strong, he's hyping up his troops, giving brave (read long) speeches and generally being a good pupil of Athena (for now). He misses his wife Penelope and his son telemarketing Telemachus, who's tiny and cute btw. And then, BOOM, we see a big ugly old man (read Zeus) who drops from the sky (literally) and goes, "I don't think you're ready but go kill an infant." Of course, Odysseus being, well, nice, wants to adopt the kid, but Zeus goes, "Nope. The playlist's been chosen, now chop chop." Oh, and did I mention he basically threatened Odysseus' kid and wife? Ugh why is he immortal. (Zeus and Poseidon slander welcome here) Reducio Odysseus starts off by rallying his army and planning the invasion via wooden horse! He reminisces on what he’s fighting for(his wife and child) and uses some gen z terminology. (Slayyy) As he describes the path to victory, we notice that everyone’s names stick out cause they’re so long. Once Odysseus breaches the wall, he has a sudden shock like he’s falling off of his bed in his sleep. As he questions what it was, Zeus comes down from the heavens and declares that it was a vision of the future, of a mighty soldier he must defeat. Odysseus affirms that he is ready, only to discover that said mighty avenger is a little infant. The baby turns out to be Prince Hector’s child, and Odysseus pleads for another way. Zeus says that this baby will grow up to avenge the destruction of Troy. Odysseus asks to raise the child as his own or send him far away where he’ll never know of his past, but Zeus denies him. Full Speed Ahead Reducio Full speed ahead happens as Odysseus heads back home after the war, with his 600 men(and none of them died! Yet). They're not too far from Ithaca, but the way home is full of monsters, so it's dangerous(but danger is our captain's friend, right? ). Then Eurylochus(still sufferable) says the crew's hungry, and they have no food left(why didn't they take some from Troy??). So instead of starving until they'd get home, they follow the birds to look for food(cuz our captain is a genius). Then olites(our lovely babyyyy let's hope he doesn't die in the next saga, eh? ) spots an island, and they decide to check it out, maybe there'd be food there. Because, obviously a strange island would house normal humans that would want to share food(who in their right mind would share food????). Eurylochus wants to attack(fr bro??? U're hungry and wanna attack??), but Odysseus doesn't want to kill anymore(he keeps thinking about the infant from that night). So Odysseus takes Polites, who's a bit excited about this, with him to take a look around. And then they abandon Eurylochus(Not really. I wish they did tho)	Open Arms Reducio This is the fourth song of the Troy Saga, and our first proper look at Polites (get a good look people, this is sunshine incarnate). Polites, bless his soul, is the kind of person who would walk into a group of people with knives like, "Oh, they must be just misunderstood." You either totally lo-ove him or totally ha-ate him (I can't understand how people hate sunshine but apparently some do, so here's your special mention), there's no in-between. So yes, the song begins with Odysseus being totally done with Polites (lol I'm always annoyed at my bestie too). Let's not blame him, he did toss a kid out of a terrace. Polites is basically to convince Odysseus to "please calm down dude" and accidentally throws his sword away. Oh and Odysseus nearly falls off a cliff. Then they both fall off a cliff. Into water (harmless for now lol). Anyway we find out Odysseus is scared of butterflies, and finally we see the lotus eaters; cute tiny adorkable furballs Then Odysseus threatens to burn them down if something happens to them. I'm seriously doubtful about if the little things understood his words, because why didn't they go full cyclops on him? Moving on, they give the duo some 'food' which btw controls their mind like Wanda Maximoff (I'm sorry this was necessary). So after the first "open arms" attempt failed, Polites turns to the lotus eaters (the same ones who nearly made them stupid, yes) again, and um, asks them for some more edible food, and they are pointed towards a cave (Spoiler alert: A cave with Cyclops where a lot of people die muahahaha) Towards the end, we see that Polites is actually a lot more observant than he lets on, since he sees that Odysseus feels guilty (weren't u supposed to be smart? Now, something that deserves special mention (why does no-one talk about this?), one of the animations has a clip at the end where Polites tosses Odysseus something looking suspiciously like an apple, and Odysseus catches it. For those of you who still don't know what that means, handing an apple to someone in Greek mythology is a type of proposal. So ideally, Polites proposed to Odysseus and he accepted it Yep, think about what that could mean lol.

So after the first "open arms" attempt failed, Polites turns to the lotus eaters (the same ones who nearly made them stupid, yes) again, and um, asks them for some more edible food, and they are pointed towards a cave (Spoiler alert: A cave with Cyclops where a lot of people die muahahaha)

Towards the end, we see that Polites is actually a lot more observant than he lets on, since he sees that Odysseus feels guilty (weren't u supposed to be smart? Why would you listen to anything Zeus has to say jeez-), and tries to lighten him up, and it works (for about ten seconds lol).

Now, something that deserves special mention (why does no-one talk about this?), one of the animations has a clip at the end where Polites tosses Odysseus something looking suspiciously like an apple, and Odysseus catches it. For those of you who still don't know what that means, handing an apple to someone in Greek mythology is a type of proposal. I'm not too familiar with many of the fandom jokes yet, but that's actually a pretty good idea

that's okay !! Honestly that's what the project's for, to get people into not only the music but the fandom and all of its jokes and chaotic fun hehe

Hm well if we're talking parodies I think I wrote this thing called 'The Steak and The Infant' or something where Odysseus just wants to get home to his kitchen, his clean plates and knives, and his son 't-bone steak' .... like at midnight a little while ago i can probably dig it out xD
