Gryffindor vs. Slytherin - Spring 2025

Dan had a smirk that every true Slytherin could do as he approached Pax.
"Nice broom ya got there, Pax! Mind if I have some fun with it?"
His messing with Pax was successful! And he didn't even get caught! Ha!
His smirk became more and more smug as he dodged not one, but TWO bludgers aimed at him. Dan made sure to make the dodges as flashy as possible to give the crowd a show. Showmanship was paramount. Especially when it came to humiliating Gryffindor.
He cackled in delight when Percy obliterated player after player on Gryffindor's team. Nice aiming!
Then his expression soured when Avery went down. Dan glowered at Aodhan. The nerve of Gryffindor to fight back! Getting caught wasn't good enough. Dan wanted to see this one fall out of the sky screaming.
But he decided to leave that to the discretion of the Beaters. He had more important things to focus on.
Doing as strategized.

In the role of Seeker, if an opponent attempts to Bludger or Blatch you, there is a 20% chance that you veer out of the way the last second and another enemy player at RANDOM is targeted instead.
Note: The new target still gets their normal dodge attempt. This is not considered to be an auto-dodge, in fact this roll is done before any accuracy rolls are done.
In the role of Seeker when you have found the snitch, if someone attempts to use Alley Oop to help you find the snitch, you will not have disadvantage. However, with this broom you do not gain the +1 chance to grab the snitch for rounds that the Alley Oop is used. To clarify, each round someone attempts to grab a snitch they get a +1 to the attempt and this stacks. There is no bonus (or stack from this round's attempt to grab) to grabbing the snitch.
In the role of Seeker, when using the search action if you critically fail on your search you get a re-roll in an attempt to find the snitch. In an attempt to grab the snitch, if you critically fail on your attempt to grab the snitch you get to re-roll your attempt to grab the snitch.

Gryffindor vs. Slytherin - Spring 2025
Things weren't going particularly well, that much had become painfully clear. The points were racking up against them, most of the Gryffindors had been removed from the pitch, and it seemed that Slytherin had decided to take advantage to lay on the hurt rather than go for the win. And there was nothing Nicholas could do from the bench and so he found himself grinding his teeth in frustration.

Aamon's entire family enjoyed quidditch. He was vaguely familiar with the sport, he knew it involved brooms and unreasonable violence. However, now that he was warming this bench, he had a front row seat to the carnage. Regret welled within him, he swallowed hard but tried to look nonchalant. He needed to make himself comfortable he decided, if nothing else it would be a good distraction. He placed a pillow on the hard bench. His tush needed more comfort than a hard bench could afford.Statistics:

xxFouls, it seemed, were Maggie’s forte. The most common and skilled trick in her wheelhouse, one she prided herself on more than anything.
Maggie went on unnoticed as she cobbed Oonagh, slinking up into the cloud layer for the second time that game. Light on her feet (well, broom) and with sticky fingers, she managed to trick her way out of yet another penalty lap, grinning a toothy smile as she slunk away. ACTION | As strategized.

There was an audible sigh as her teammate plummeted to the ground. Not because they were injured and out of the game, no, but the fact Remedy would be leaving the shelter of the dugout and risking scuffing her freshly-filed nails.
Her grip tightened against the handle of the Silver Arrow, scowl written across her face as she sauntered towards the pitch and took to the skies.

Mellani grinned at Remedy when she heard the second year cheering for her. It was enough to boost her confidence. She went to Pax taking a penalty lap and cobbed the lion with her elbow. Although she felt a teeny bit bad, they probably deserved it for cheating anyways.
It was then that Mell saw Avery fall, meaning that Remedy would be taking his place. She gave Remedy a smile of encouragement while deciding what to do next.

Dan was at it again with the debuffs, so just call him Debuff Dan. Debuff Dan swooped towards Aodhan on his penalty lap, his freshly sharpened elbows all in the opposing Seeker's face - Seeker-on-Seeker violence at its finest! Aodhan was sufficiently thrown off by the action, but Dan was too quick to be caught and flew free.Debuffs

The second-strings, first in our hearts, on both sides decided that it was time to break out the protein bars - or whatever the wizarding equivalent of protein bars are. Protein-infused Cauldron Cakes, perhaps? Or is that popcorn sighted again? Either way, the two benched players left for the lions pulled out matching snacks and chowed down on them. Both Nicholas and Avery G. would feel quite energized afterwards, ready to join in the next round if the need came.Second-String Actions
Similarly, Aamon on the Slytherin bench snacked on something that smelled so delicious it distracted Violeta as she attempted to cheer for Dan; her cheer weak from hunger, it did not quite reach the first-string Seeker on the field. The attempt at a yell was drowned out by a much louder cheer from Charlotte, who yelled out for Maggie; this one was much more easily heard by the Chaser up above. Don't count out our second-strings!

Remedy dove for the Quaffle, finding herself alone in doing so; all of her other fellow Chasers, both enemy and friend, decided to take a trip to Blatchville, so she had the red leather ball all to herself. One might think that made it simple, especially with the show of skill performed by the snakelet at her first throw: "And Norden scores once - no, twice! How'd she get the Quaffle back that fast? A third time! Thirty points to Slytherin! She goes back for the Quaffle and - oof, that was a tough break. Norden fumbles, looks like she's hurt herself...The Quaffle
"But she's back in the game a moment later, scoring two more times! Fifty points to Slytherin, folks. My, my. What a round it is already! What! A! Round!"

The Snitch feels abandoned. The Snitch sheds a single tear.
Attempting to truly get rid of all of his opponents, Percival smacked a Bludger towards Meyra, but she just narrowly dodged it, with the iron ball just whooshing by her ear. Perhaps the wind ruffled her hair a bit. "Oh my Merlin, I surely thought Lancaster was going to take that Bludger from Rainwood! How did it not hit her? They must've been less than an inch apart!"The Bludgers
With only the Slytherin Beaters left in the air, no one from Gryffindor could possibly defend each other from any rogue Bludgers or even interact with them. As such, a lone Bludger set its sights on Aodhan; "Oh, and a rogue Bludger's gone after Shaw, but being on his penalty lap, he sees it coming from a mile away! Nice dodge, kid!"

My dear blatchers, y'all are the only tens I see.KOB Fouls
Four blatchers, two in scarlet and two in emerald, pulled off from their teams and set their sights on their respective enemies. In quick succession, one after the other, they darted towards each other, and two players fell through the air; however, they were not quite so quick as to avoid the referee's keenest of eyes.
"Hawkins looks as if she's going to try a blatch on Kanjilal! Oh, but Kanjilal sees her and easily evades. What a quick bit of broomwork from Kanjilal there! And - oh, and now she tries to blatch Palmer, but Armani distracts her just enough so that we don't have anyone falling yet! Hey, you two! Hawkins, Kanjilal! Penalty laps! I don't care if you didn't actually hit each other!
"And - wait, who got Shaw and Armani? Hey! Riddle, Lancaster, I saw that! You two can join Hawkins and Kanjilal on their penalty laps. Has no one any integrity anymore? Don't laugh. I know I've done plenty a cheat in my day. That's not the point! Anyway, can someone get Shaw to the hospital wing? That fall did not look fun!"
On the bright side for Slytherin, Mellani was on the hunt for her teammates' safety, and she caught Oliver before he could hit the ground. The two snakes were now sharing a broom - should it have been called the two-headed serpent instead?

Gryffindor vs. Slytherin - Spring 2025

Date: Saturday, 17 May 2025
Time: 13:00
Location: Quidditch Stadium
· · ─────── · 𖢨 · ─────── · ·Koko was not one to utilise empty threats.
That wasn't to say she didn't appreciate the thrill of causing a bit of... alarm... in someone. But from the moment she'd yelled at Aodhan, she couldn't help but subconsciously search for him in the skies. So small, doing his little penalty lap — an easy target.
Oh, to hell with it.
It was really very easy. A strange sense of calm washed over her, and she very quickly adjusted her trajectory, opting to fly towards Aodhan instead of assist with the Quaffle. And just like that, the surprised little lion was falling with no one to save him. No apology left her lips; she instead watched with narrowed eyes to ensure there were no lions waiting where she hadn't seen them before.
Then —
'Has no one got any integrity anymore?'
With a roll of her eyes and a hefty sigh, Koko steered her broom in the familiar beginning of a penalty lap, though a gently-mirthful smile was beginning to tug at the corners of her mouth. What did they expect? Quidditch was a dirty game, and people got hurt, but, hey, maybe that was the fun of it.· · ─────── · 𖢨 · ─────── · ·

Accuracy: 24 Part-Veela Alluring: 10% of a Quaffle score attempt against a part-Veela Keeper failing; 10% auto-redirect chance as a potential target of blatching/bludgering.
ReducioAs a Keeper there is a chance that the attempt to score would fail if a user was attempting to score against a part-Veela Keeper. As a potential target of blatching or bludgers, there is a chance that if the target is a Veela that the attack will be redirected to one of the attacker's own team mates.
Evasive Maneuvers - 10% Auto-dodge
Part-Veela Scream: Potential AOE foul causing -1 accuracy and -1 evasion to up to five targets.
ReducioCan use their Scream but it would be considered a foul and they would be suffering a detention after.
Their scream can be disorienting (-1 accuracy and -1 evasion), requiring a full action to perform but does not require a wand. This can stack indefinitely and persist until the end of the encounter. This scream can target a single user or it can target up to five users (as an AOE attack).
Calming Presence - Allies (SLYTHERIN) have 10% chance of auto-success
Keeper's Catch - Will be specified in actions sent
Reducio10% chance to automatically block an attempt to score a goal as long as the Keeper is taking an action in the goal area.
If an attempt to score has been blocked through this effect, the Keeper may take one of the following three as a free action: hurl the quaffle at the opponent team in an attempt to injure a player of their choice, pass the quaffle to a teammate who is taking a quaffle-related action, or attempt to score on the opponent. This must be declared by the Keeper if any of these free actions are to be utilized, for example:
Keeper: Block [& Pass to x if Keeper's Catch goes off] - the pass recipient must be taking a quaffle related action
Keeper: Starfish and Stick [& Attack x if Keeper's Catch goes off] - the action will be equivalent to a bludger action
Keeper: Block [& Score if Keeper's Catch goes off]
Part-Veela Temperamental: +3 to critical success range, +1 to critical fail range.
Reducio+3 to their critical success range (and a +1 chance to critically fail) an attack.
Broom:Oakshaft 79 - +4 to 2 stats - Oakshaft info:
ReducioIn the role of Keeper when you attempt to block your goal, if your opponent somehow has advantage on attempting to score a goal, that is negated (they only have their normal single roll against you).In the role of Keeper a critical success on an attempt to block a goal not only means that the Keeper caught the quaffle but they have also successfully passed the quaffle (without a chance of interception) to an allied target of their choice. A critical failure in this case cannot happen for a Keeper, they get to re-roll the attempt to block.
Note: Critical failure and critical success chances can be expanded with certain abilities and skills. In the role of Keeper, if the Keeper effectively blocks an attempt to score rather than obtain possession of the quaffle they can kick the quaffle at the user who attempted to score. This must be declared at the time actions are submitted. This would have damage like a bludger using an accuracy roll to hit and the user's strength score to determine the amount of damage done. If the quaffle hits or misses the target, a quafflegrab the next round would be necessary to determine which team has possession of the quaffle again.Has an increased capacity. May carry 3 people.
