I feel horrible that he had to wear a mask just to fit in. Everyone should be allowed to be themselves without having to fit into the “status quo”. There have been so many times that people I thought were my friends threw me away because I don’t act like them.
He probably came on here to make friends and join a community of people that wanted to welcome him. Instead, he was thrown out and pushed away. If and when he comes back, I will make sure to let him know that I will do everything I can to make him feel more welcome.
There have actually been multiple times lately that I’ve almost abandoned the site because I thought people were out to get me. That’s why I quit writing solos for awhile. All I can do is hope and pray that he will come back.
I know for a fact you can be an organic, free range Avery Gray with me! You'll never be judged when I'm around

I’m not in the same situation as Pettely and it is not even close to what I’ve heard people did to him, but for awhile I was tired of constantly having to change my lore or get it deleted just to fit within the rules. So many of Av and Dyl’s RPs aren’t the full story or the real story. It’s the changed version. Wait, your first statement suddenly triggered a buried memory. I remembered the time he first hopped on the site where he immediately revealed that he's a minor, immediately accusing everyone (if I remember correctly, particularly Clark) that he might suddenly be kidnapped by one of us Hufflepuffs because of the information he provided. I laughed at that but slightly cringed, which actually solidified his admittance of being a minor. I agree with your last point about how people shouldn't be scared off from the community. Now that's not to say I know anyone where that has happened but I do sometimes have the fear of overstepping any critiques or teeny nitpicks I've had with the site. By and large, these critiques are not a big deal and I express them with the objective of simply wanting to learn more on how changes and limitations to the site work and why.
I put a post up discussing the iNPC changes and my feelings with them in their FAQ and all day I've wrestled with the idea of taking it down, afraid that staff might take offense or picture me as ungrateful or trying to cheat the system, and a lot of other paranoid thoughts. I didn't even say anything harsh in it but again, its the paranoia of feeling like staff won't like what's written even when it's just feedback that's said in all kindness and respect.

Do not take it down - you made such good points along with Beatrice. Major changes like that are supposed to be announced beforehand - months before, if you think about it - so players could prepare themselves. They are yet to respond because probably, they are currently discussing it. I actually agree with how tedious it would be to handle two accounts then log out and log back in in order to switch. Plus, you actually forwarded a question I was afraid to ask about to staff - how our personal information is being handled by staff who have access to it.
Beatrice also provided a new perspective too. I forgot about players who relied on graduation in order to acquire spells. Now that changes are upon us, these current modifications could imply that homework is not optional. You both proposed such good points that needed to be addressed that I am actually looking forward for the response from the staff! I am incredibly impressed by you speaking up.

I agree with Aurelia! I had never thought before what our personal info is being used for. I put a personal email on here when I first joined because I was scared that I couldn’t use a throwaway one. I’m actually going to change that email soon, and I am curious to know who has access to that email now. Thanks again for speaking up, Em! I’m glad that at least someone has the guts to ask the questions we’re all curious to know the answers to!
