The familiar tone of the formal and composed Gryffindor attracted Emily's attention when her name was called. When Emily saw Evelynn make her way down towards her, Emily slipped past Colin to meet her.
"Pardon me, Colin~ Evelynn!" She beamed when she saw the Gryffindor smile. When was the last time Evelynn smiled? Actually, Emily was almost certain she never saw her smile before. It suited her! That just made Emily beam even more.
"I've been good-- Well, better. I mean-- I'm trying to be better--" she fumbled sheepishly. In the end she laughed awkwardly. After having so much go wrong happening in the last month or so, it was still a strange adjustment for Emily to have things go right now that she was on the road back to normalcy. Even laughing it off like it was nothing was still something that felt oddly foreign to her, regardless of how freeing it truly felt.
Emily felt Evelynn's eyes on her, a blend of curiousness underlined by scrutiny, like she was searching for something. Could Emily blame her? Every meeting between them was just a by-product of trouble they'd land themselves in. Yet confidently, Emily stood tall in front of Evelynn, smiling with hope. Though the lace of looking back was unmissable in the Huffie's face as well.
"All is well. Although after all our run-ins together, I'm sure you're able to guess that there is much to tell, that's if you're even looking for trouble to uncover. But I'll not say it here... Not when everyone's meant to be having fun and enjoying themselves".

Come Fly With Me!

“Oy, snowflake, shouldn't you be on the ground, crying by now?”
Her words were lost to the wind as Hans returned his attention to the race ahead.
The second stretch was a relatively breezy one, and Hans found no issue in any of the obstacles, not the winds nor the spectators awaiting on the end once more. It was probably unfair to deem them as hurdles in a game but in all frankness they seemed like ones as the racers all zigzagged and weaved through their midst. In fact, Hans deemed it acceptable to brush over the fact that he had barely passed one of them — who knew the crowds he loved could become irritation so quickly? Still, with the brightest smile on his face he turned to greet them and even waved once or twice, which he believed what eventually robbed him of his victory.
As he pulled up close to the finish line Hans could see the one to be crowned first place was the elder boy he did not know, yet the rest of his peers, joined with the pompous Oonagh, were more or less by his side. Now at the final stretch he gripped his broom only harder despite the clear decision of a victor. While not as pugnacious as the wild-haired Scot, who decided to ram directly into the winning boy’s shoulder, which must have hurt her more than it did him, he was part bitter and part reminiscent of his faster, though far more rickety nimbus. Deciding to make do with what he was given though, Hans’ gaze slid towards his competition left with a challenging glance.
Although it ended close, Brown won, and in return Hans would offer a cool, “Nice game.”
you will burn and you will burn out; you will be healed and come back again. and i will wait for you.
