Astronomy Internship

50 words minimum- Why would you (your character) be interested in interning for Astronomy? Ever since she was a child, Elena had always felt a strong connection with astronomy, space and planets, the universe. At night, during her frequent insomnias, she would stay up and study the various books she had gathered over the years, gazing at the endless sky. When her parents noticed her interest for this subject, they bought her a telescope and took her on trips to planetarium. Her interest grew into fascination and obsession, devouring books and documentaries at every hour of the day. Arriving at Howgarts, she was delighted to know about the Astronomy Tour, and spent more time leaned on a telescope than any other place. Constellations and the various stories behind their names and meanings are her favourite matter, as well as black holes and the various theories about them. Astronomy, and all space related things brings her a sense of peace she had found unmatched by anything else - except maybe the moon.

Archer's mother, a cartographer and adventurer, naturally would have taught the boy about navigation, which often involved gazing at the stars, abundant on the Isle of Skye, to find one's way at night. Since then, Archer had always been captivated by not only the facts behind the constellations he so loved, but also the mythological stories that explained their creation. Often enjoying time outside, stargazing on the roof is not an uncommon event on summer nights for him and his mother. In fact, the boy loves the reassuring feeling of having the stars above him that he has glowing constellations above both his bed at home and in his dorm.

50 words minimum- Why would you (your character) be interested in interning for Astronomy? Lyanna has always liked Astronomy. Not just because of how interesting the subject is, but because she's always felt the urge to explore, she loves to read and she loves looking up at the stars. It just clicks, there's no real explanation for it. When she's sad, she either looks up at the sky and thinks, she goes exploring to get her mind off things or she reads and writes. Astronomy- it's like it understands her. That may not make sense, but for her it does. She doesn't believe in fate or in destiny, but looking up at the sky and the stars helps her relax during difficult times or hard moments. And so as soon as she learned about the prospect of becoming an Astronomy intern, she decided to sign up.

When she was younger, she used to stare up at the sky and stargaze with her cousin at her grandparent's house. She had always loved anything and everything science, so when Avery found out that there was an internship for Astronomy, she thought it would be the perfect thing for her to deepen her knowledge of science.

Since attending her muggle all-girls boarding school, Kaitlyn has been interested in all sciences, including Astronomy. She loved spending time outdoors staring up at the night sky. After she had come to Hogwarts, she was stoked to find out that Hogwarts has astronomy classes! She loves using the telescopes to view the celestial patterns and is often found staring at the moon and stars in her dorm at night.

Growing up in a city, Maisie's view of the city has always been obstructed by light pollution. Being here at Hogwarts has provided her with new, clear views of the night sky. She is excited to experience it more fully and learn more about astronomy. Although not particularly scientific-minded, Maisie enjoys being outside and thinks this internship could help her improve her understanding of the discipline.

Growing up in a pureblood home with little knowledge on the outside world , this helped her. Learning what stars are made of , how they help us and such. So when finding out there was a intern program at Hogwarts for astronomy she was esthetic to go and join !

Graci and her Papou had always been close, and one of the things they liked to do best was stargazing. The stars were fascinating to her, and even more so as she got into Greek Mythology, with Cassiopeia, Orion's belt, Aquila, Scorpius and the like. When she realized Hogwarts would have Astronomy she was overjoyed. She's always wanted to learn more about the constellations and how best to see them. An internship program was an even better way to do just that:) She's always preferred the stars over the sun and the moon, enjoying their unknown nature. Though she finds space frightening, so long as her feet are on the ground she is curious as can be.

Ellie had always been interested in space. From asteroids to black holes to the other galaxies, they all interested her. She loved to wonder about different galaxies, what was in a black hole, and where asteroids had come from. As a child she would read all the books on space and astronomy she could find. When she found out about the zodiac signs and how everyone had a certain one depending on their birth month, so Ellie as a young kid had brought a book along with her and told everyone their zodiac sign and there prophecy for the month.

Why would your character be interested in interning for Astronomy? Eonaria is practically in love with the stars. To her, they symbolize something out of reach, but a beautiful, constant presence. She knows that she can look up and see at least one star at any time. Assuming she's outside, of course. She loves counting as many stars as she can and then identifying shapes in them. Some of them are constellations, some of them are just the product of a child's imagination. Astronomy is one of Eonaria's favorite classes: getting to spend time just examining the stars she had admired for so long?! Her very favorite things, the night sky and studying! And the Astronomy classroom is beautiful. Every time she walks into the observatory/classroom, she can't stop a big smile from forming on her face. Eonaria's parents didn't exactly encourage this behavior, considering the information a bit useless, so she doesn't know much about outer space, just some of the basics. [153 words]
