Ophelia fought the urge to raise her eyebrows in shock. She'd met purebloods who didn't really care about blood status in her time here at Hogwarts and in the magical world in general, a pureblood girl who was so excited to meet a half-blood? Well, that was a first. But at least she didn't find her weird or decided to run away from her or something. That would've been really awkward.

Ophelia smiled, listening to all of Anna's extremely earnest questions. It was kind of sweet, her curiosity in everything Muggle related. She'd never really stopped and thought of the life of someone like Anna. Living without a clue to the lives of all the other human beings on the planet. The girl didn't even know what electricity was!

"Yeah, we have stand-still photos. That's one element that I'd had from the wizarding world all along. I'd always found it weird that my Muggle friends didn't read the same childhood storybooks that I did." Some of Ophelia's favourite childhood stories had come from magical books with moving pictures, a thing that she hadn't realised was odd and not normal for quite a while. "Electricity powers pretty much everything, from the cars that we ride everywhere to the ways we communicate with each other. We don't use birds, you're right, we have phones and other devices." The Ravenclaw grinned. "You would've made a fine addition to Ravenclaw with that curiosity, Anna!"

When Anna asked her why her parents would hide the fact that she was magical from her, Ophelia shrugged. "I think my papa-- he's a Muggle, by the way-- didn't really understand magic too much. My mum went along with it, because she didn't know if marrying a Muggle still allowed her children to have magic in their blood. When I had my first instance of magic, they told both me and my younger brother everything." It had been a little odd at first, learning all these new things about the world that hadn't seemed possible only minutes prior, but Ophelia had grown used to the thought of magic by now.
