There seemed to be a constant change in the staff at Hogwarts, especially more recently. Ava had kept up a habit of welcoming these professors in her own way, completely separate from the traditional way. Rather than a gift basket or a welcome note, her habits seemed to focus more on destruction and fun.

After seeing the newly charmed divination classroom, she knew exactly what she would do to create some chaos.

Ava stepped into the classroom, manatees lazily moving through the panes of glass, blues and aquatic shades drifting through the room in the light. Her satchel rested heavily on her shoulder, filled to the brim with seashells and other ‘ocean’ related items, essentially whatever she could find.

She methodically began moving the bowls of water into a circle, dropping seashells and pieces of sea glass in a circle that seemed just large enough to contain someone about her size. She noted the entrance of two of her friends, Colin and the lesser known Lyanna.

Ava had been a bit nervous inviting Colin into her shenanigans, having avoided him and @Emily Shephard for the better part of a month. She had blamed it on the amount of schoolwork she had, but she was still very unaccustomed to having her feelings so far in the open. In the past, it had never ended very well. Oliver had disappeared, Charlie seemed close to it. She was terrified it would happen to the snake and badger she was far too attached to. It was easier to pretend she didn’t care, but the truth swirled in her chest like the waves overhead.

Lyanna, on the other hand, was a new acquaintance. They had briefly met, and only so Ava could recruit a second ocean spirit to assist in her shenanigans.

She dropped the largest piece of sea glass, about as large as her hand and colored in a beautiful teal color. It was one of her gifts from her grandparents that she had received over the holidays, finally put into good use.

Ava wasn’t sure where Colin and Lyanna had hidden, but she trusted they knew their roles and were ready. Colin she had instructed to cause a bit of destruction, maybe a bit of water on the unsuspecting first years. Lyanna probably had no idea exactly what would be going down within the classroom.

Ava crouched down just outside of the circle of trinkets, trusting that her final comrade would do her job. Aleksandra, a younger snake, had been instructed to direct any curious first years toward the divination classroom, create as large of a crowd as possible.

"Adua, aqua, white and blue." Ava chanted, continuing to chant whatever water related words came to mind as she stirred each of the bowls of water. She kept her focus on the so-called summoning, ignoring any students that would choose to enter.

This chanting would continue until she had decided the crowd drawn was sufficient, or someone put an end to her plan.

How? Aleksandra had no idea. All the young platinum haired girl knew she was approached by an older student in the common rooms while she was studying just to help stir up trouble in a sense. Why? That was a mystery to the young teen nor did she not really care. She just decided to chime in and help, why once again? She could not answer. The teen was rather bored and studying had a sense of fun but it was not something she enjoyed fondly.

Aleksandra’s job was to try and gather a crowd of first years to see the older Slytherin girl summon something a sea witch did she call herself that? Or a sea demon? Aleksandra could not remember the complete details but it was not much she heard sense she tuned out the older student when they were explaining the task.

As the teen had tried to bring in a crowd of first years to see something truly amazing. She stood in the background leaning against the wall blending into the background. Her eerily platinum blonde almost white hair looked ethereal compared to the girl's pale complexion, her stone cold gray eyes seemed hollow and void. While she wore her uniform, her black robes covered her shoulders while resting at the palm of her hands, her green and silver tie was pressed neatly against the girl's chest. Though blending in was easy for the girl she was only four feet five inches tall compared to the group of wildly tall first years.

Aleksandra was rather confused how the first years seemed much taller this year than last year but then again the majority of second years are much taller than the second year girl. A sigh escaped Aleksandra’s lips. It was rather boring. All the older girl was doing was making up words. Aleksandra figured the most she could do was make it more interesting especially if she was trying to frighten the first year students. But she supposed there is so much one can do.

Examining the divination classroom a bit Aleksandra frowned slightly, this place seemed much more different than she imagined it would be. Though Aleksandra was one who didn’t mind the beach scenery it definitely was not a place she would like to learn or study in she felt like that would be a bit of a distraction. It made the girl wonder what was going through this new professor's head though maybe she was biased though the girl was a second year she did interact with Seriea a few times in the common room. Aleksandra doubted this new professor would be one to make that trek down to the dungeons especially after seeing this classroom.

A scoff escaped Aleksandra’s lips why would the headmaster hire someone who’s obsessed with the beach anyways this was divination not swim class. It made absolutely no sense to the teenage girl. Even the room seemed to smell like the salt air of the beach. It burned the girl's nostrils. This room was just something odd, not that she ever entered it before, but now Aleksandra was debating if she wished to take divination or not. Especially with how the classroom seemed to present itself she doubted the professor was even sane. Maybe some Beach hippie or maybe the professor themself was a siren disguised as a witch or possibly the professor was not even human at all and one of the merpeople from the Great Lake that did not seem highly impossible after all Hogwarts had low standards anyways.

Wandering through the hallways was the staple in Adam's to do list, exploring every corner of the castle was his calling card. He just wished he had a method of sneaking into the forbidden sections and finding out what makes them so forbidden. Anyways, he overheard some students talking about divination class. He wanted to check it out and followed along in total silence this time around, wanting to see and deduce rather than just flat out ask and see what's up. Why? Because it'd be no fun if they just pushed him aside. Anywho, Adam made his way to the divination classroom and once inside he looked at the other students and wondered what they were doing.

Was he going to flat out ask them what was what and see what happens? Was he gonna poke his head into the summoning and begin chanting watery incantations? Nah. He simply watched from the back as he circled around the two and any gathering students who may have come in with them. He found his way over to a crystal ball that was left on a table and it instantly grabbed at his attention for a moment of silliness. He looked into it and waggled his fingers over it, pretending to see the future and foreseeing a terrible fate befalling everyone in this room. He hummed ominously and saw more, a watery dragon, a sea serpent erupted from the chanting over yonder and killed everyone present.

He couldn't help but chuckle at his own silliness, nothing bad will actually happen here. He sighed to himself quietly and made his way over to the girls and stood silently while he held both hands behind his back. He watched on in a humble silence as none of them seem to be speaking as to not break the one girl's concentration. He didn't want to mess up the secret circle of silence either so he kept quiet for now. But he had a dozen questions on his mind that were just waiting to be spilled out. But he had a poker face as a big smile was painted on his face like a regular portrait with no magic business behind it. Purely, unmoving. Unnerving perhaps but there was no ill intent behind it.

He had never interacted with these two before and he just couldn't wait to open up and introduce himself and make a few friends while he was here. But that had to wait for the right moment, he rolled his shoulders gently while he watched on. Noticing the seashells and bowls of water organized into a circle of some sort, he tilted his head curiously while he kept his hands well behind his back. He wondered more of what was happening in this very moment, he could've sworn she must've been trying to summon something based on the make believe tales from muggle story books. But this was no story book, this was real life and there was definitely magic at play here.

As if Desislava hadn't had enough to deal with during her first week, she didn't think a summoning was going to be on her first week bingo. However, it was something that she was currently dealing with having walked into a fake summoning in her classroom. Of course, being the trained witch that she was, she knew that what the three where doing weren't actually going to summon everything, but she watched from the railing as her future students attempted to summon something from nothing.

She had just repaired all of her decorations and her curtains, as well as taken care of her manatees in the stain glass. Said manatees were also watching the chaos, with the baby of the bunch doing some happy flips as it tried to get attention. She gently gave it a pet as she kept her eyes on the students.

While they weren't technically doing anything wrong she didn't want it to get out of hand. So she made sure to stay observant as the sandy hair girl in the middle of the circle chanted nonsense words and a couple vaguely latin ones but mostly bits that anyone could learn just from overhearing. She executed her part of ring leader perfectly, and Desislava smiled gently to herself as she watched the girl maintain a fearless facade -as though she was truly summoning things on the daily- and how composed she seemed. It wasn't as though she would actually pull something from the water and into existence. There wasn't anything that spooky that could even be summoned that way. To truly summon something dangerous they-

Well lets not describe that. Even with a well kept secret could rumours spread.

She watched with her arms crossed in a quiet vigil as the fearful group of first years and the couple older students who had clearly been the maestros of this orchestra. Aside from the girl in the middle of all her scrying bowls which had been soiled with items and would need to be cleansed before they could be used again, there was one other student who stood out. She reminded Desislava of herself in the sense of oddness. While not cool or convoluted, Desislava could tell that this girl did not enjoy the atmosphere of the class. Desislava figured it was just her demeanor and wasn't offended.

Her eyes fell over the last of the students that particularly stuck out to her. A funny little first year who seemed to take a liking to her crystal balls as he seemingly pretended to see something in the ball he was staring at. Amusing to say the least as she watched his antics.

Overall, it seemed as though nothing truly dangerous was going on so she was remiss to interuppt it. Instead, she returned to her office for some tea and a chair to watch from the railing. Just to ensure that nothing bad was going to happen to her students. She'd let them tire themselves out.

Drat!

Colin was late, and he knew it. Ava would kill him if she ... No. Don't even think that! She'd concocted some scheme to scare some first years with her magical prowess. Naturally, Colin was in favour of messing around with first years! He'd been doing that since second year, after all! When he'd finally arrived, he hid himself away in the back of the room, under the balcony that led up to Professor Nenovsky's office.

He blamed his lateness on having quite some difficulty getting his hair to become just the right shade of blue for the task. Also, getting a hold of one of Liam's school robes had proven much trickier than he had planned on. He had to actually promise that he wouldn't get it all torn up or soiled in mud and muck.

Colin smirked.

Lad didn't say anything about not getting it wet!

And that's what this whole crazy idea of Ava's was all about. As he got himself ready at the back, he could hear Ava's voice, low and almost menacing up towards the front. Some kids had gathered in the divination classroom, completely unaware what she was up to. If Colin had actually put his brain to work, he would have realised that he himself didn't really know what she up to!

He shrugged. She was crouched in the middle of a circle of bowls of water chanting some nonsense. Colin reckoned the words were kind of like what a Muggle might think spells are like. As the kids looked on, he crouched at the back, wand at the ready. A grand entrance is what Ava asked for. And lots of water. Right! Colin could do that! His plan was simple. Whilst Ava was mumbling her fake spells, Colin decided he would levitate the bowls of water. Then, as he was silently running up towards the front, he'd let the bowls drop, splashing water all over the place, and he would cast a fog spell and a water spraying spell!

Awesomé!

"Wingardium leviosa!" he whispered, swishing and flicking his wand like a pro at the water bowls! As they rose up into the air in front of the kids, he just hoped Ava would take that as her cue to do her thing! Colin took off at a sprint! After a few loping strides, he cast again: "Nebulus!" Finally, as a fog descended on the classroom, he cast his last spell: "Aqua eructo!" Flailing his wand about, water sprayed all over the gathered students!

"OWOOOO!" Colin howled as he splashed in the puddles and leapt into the middle of Ava's little stage. "My lady! Ye summoned me, and here I am!"

Ava’s face had a somewhat relieved expression when Colin finally arrived at the classroom, with blue hair and a large grin. For a moment she had been worried that he had abandoned her and her spectacular plans, and left her to carry out the entire prank on her own. She wasn’t sure how much longer she could have kept the chanting up for, given all of it was nonsensical improvisation.

She kept her eyes trained on the water bowls as she watched them levitate into the air, thanks to a well cast spell on Colin’s part. She barely saw him cross the room in a few long strides before a thick fog descended on them, which hid the spray of water that suddenly came from overhead, soaking her, the students gathered and the classroom.

Ava’s chanting quieted as she watched Colin, or rather a water spirit, emerge from the edges of the fog, his hair dyed a shade of blue and wearing a Ravenclaw robe, however he had acquired those. He made some dramatic flourish, somehow more dramatic than she herself, and announced the successful summoning. There was no plan set in place beforehand, only the trust that they would follow each other’s leads.

Her shocked expression was, of course, fake. She knew a spirit would arrive, but the first years didn’t need to know that. She made a show of composing her face and seeming shocked at his sudden arrival. She hadn’t expected the blue hair.

“Oh, great water spirit!” She announced loudly, almost reverently although internally she was withholding a giggle. She held her palms out, facing upward and gestured wildly with them as she spoke. “Bless us with your wisdom, and allow no harm to come to these students!”

It was almost too good. Her voice climbed in volume as she spoke, and when she seemed done with her own dramatics, she took a step backward, bowing her head to him, partially to hide the smile on her face from the view of the students gathered around them. She pushed a soggy strand of hair out of her face, peeking at him from her position and offering a quick wink.

Ava kept her head bowed, and focussed on the execution of the next step of her plan. Using her metamorphmagus abilities, the tips of her hair, fingers, and her lips began to subtly shift into a deep shade of blue, slowly creeping upward. The result would be a startling tinge of blue throughout her skin, almost as though she were suffering from lack of oxygen or lack of warmth.
