So first off you should decide if you like your character. Is rping with Louisa fun? Would you like to continue it for a longer period of time?

To figure that out you need to first look at her personality. Is it what you like writing or is it difficult to put into words/you don't like rping her because of that?

Next think about her background and start to think of character lore, a long term plotline that you should gradually put into a timeline: the most important experiences and changes throughout the years.

Another thing to consider is thinking from her perspective. Make sure you understand your character, their needs and their wants and what they need to achieve to get there and fulfill those wants/needs.

Linked to that is to keep in mind what is stopping her from getting those needs/wants. Is it family drama for example? Or something else entirely?

It can certainly be hard to start with this once you've had a character for a long time, which is one of the reasons people deactivate. It's certainly something to think about, starting from scratch isn't a bad idea but it really depends on what you want to achieve with your character. I think if you're looking at character development deactivating can really help, but if you want to try to start now with Louisa I say go for it and we'll see what happens!
