Graci's pillow stunt didn't go unnoticed, well, it was noticed by a total of one person. Ish.

"That looked fun!" A girl called.

It was fun. A lot of fun.

The girl seemed to be a year or two older than Graci, but quite kind. And she was walking over.

“Hi, I’m Kaitlyn." A beautiful name for a beautiful girl.

"I'm Gracilia. Or Cici, or Graci, or... well, whatever nickname you can come up with." Graci smiled at the girl, when someone else came up.

She kind of just... interrupted. In a fast flood of words. From the looks of it, they seemed to have maybe seen each other once, but no more than that.

Graci wanted to sink into the floor, not knowing what to do since this girl wasn't speaking to her. The cold, frigid really, marble floor seemed like a wonderful option. Oblivion over awkward anxiety.

Someone else called her off, and she-Lexi- didn't even stay to hear Kaitlyn's answer to her many questions.

Oh odd. It must be so weird to live in a brain like that. Thoughts going in and out rapidly, not even giving space for anything else.

"She's... quite something. Have the two of you met before?" To Graci, it seemed like an absurd question, but still entirely valid. Personally, she had a lot more acquaintances than friends, but maybe these two were really close. Though, it didn't seem so.

Avery hugged her best friend back once she had finished telling her story. Avery continued holding back the tears in her eyes. She couldn't break down right here. Not in front of so many people. That would raise too many questions that Avery wasn't quite ready to answer.

When Lya asked if Swansea was the place that she was forced to leave from. "Yeah. It was and still is my real home. Though, there's no way my mother will ever move back."

Avery listened as her best friend told her story. Avery couldn't believe everything the girl had been going through since Christmas. Avery wished she had been paying more attention. Then maybe she could have shared the weight earlier than now, but she also knew that she would never force her friend to tell her all that was happening. Though, when her bestie decided to let it all go, she knew that she would be there every step of the way. No matter how dark and dangerous the path got. She knew that Lya would do the same.

She squeezed her bestie's hand as a tear rolled down her cheek. Avery completely understood how hard it was to let the truth come out. It had taken Avery years to finally let herself open her doors and let everything loose. She was just glad that Lya didn't have to hold in the pain for years like she did. Avery knew from experience that it wasn't healthy. All it did was lead to destruction and unneeded pain.

Once Lya had finished, Avery hugged her tightly. She hoped to spread some strength into her. They were going to be brave together and face what would probably be the hardest time of their lives. Avery was glad that she had met Lya. She never knew how much she needed her and how similar they were until she stumbled upon her compartment on the train ride to Hogwarts on her birthday. That felt like a long time ago now. So much had happened since then.

"Wow. I had no idea how similar our stories were. I can't even imagine what you're going through at the moment. Just know that I will always be here for you. No matter what."

After nights of thought, umpteenth amount of debating with herself, Sere Nade had decided to write letters to her grandmother as well as her parents even though she was still not in the mental capacity to appear in front of her family for this Easter. A big step, a good step, a step that should be right; trying to open herself, but this afternoon her doubts grew once again. What if they don't really care about my letter? What if they don't understand what I wrote? What if they reply with, again, forcing me to return to my pathetic ordinary life before Hogwarts? And many more 'what if's popped up in her mind. She started to feel overwhelmed by her own overthink and decided to chase it away by attending an event held by Sage Willows, one of the prefect, second-year student same as her. Sere knew Sage from last year's Summer Camp because they were happened to be in the same tent. She still remembered that Sage was part of the planner of that big, cool event, and now she was holding another event. A girl full of ideas.

The concept of this event was a pajama party, and Sere stepped closer to the Ballroom wearing only pajamas according to the theme of this event. Her hair was left loose, her left arm was holding a light-blue colored book with a white snow decoration on the cover titled The One That Let it Snow. She intended to read the tale while enjoying the pajama party atmosphere. As far as she could remember, the British-Korean girl had never entered the Ballroom before because there had never been any business in this place. As soon as she passed the entrance, her eyes were greeted with the cathedral-looks, singular candelabra chandelier, and a banner that welcoming every attendant to the pajama party. Well managed, as expected from Sage Willows.

Sere recognized several familiar faces in the Ballroom and thought about greeting them later, at the near-end of the event. Currently, her main focus was on the food and drinks that were neatly organized on the table. Her left hand took a bowl of salted-caramel popcorn and her right hand reached for a can of coke. From afar, this girl might looked mistakenly thought that this event was a movie night instead of a pajama party. Sere took a place with neat pillows and blankets, not yet used by anyone else. The girl lay on her stomach, wrapped herself in a blanket, resting her chin on the pillow. Popcorn and coke were on her right side and she started to open her book.

Sere's eyes traced the sentences in the book, her ears heard the ambiance of conversations from the students around, her mouth tasted the sweet and salty taste, and her toes twitched occasionally in excitement. Her senses focused on doing various things and thanks to this event, the girl managed to get rid of her intrusive overthinking for some moments.

Although what she was doing right now was only avoiding the thought temporarily, and it would eventually come back to bother her until the day she actually wrote and sent her letters.

Looking at themselves in the mirror Mylo took a deep breath. They were currently wearing their pyjama's and had decided to go to an event for national pyjama day that was being hosted in the ballroom.

Originally they hadn't seen the point in going, he had quite a bit of homework he needed to finish and as much as they'd love to curl up and do some reading a wash of anxiety filled them at the though of walking down the hallways in their pyjamas, clothes usually reserved for the privacy of their dorm room.

But a single sentence filled their mind constantly as he thought of not going. "You just have to be more fun, don't be such a bore." Which had somehow overridden the anxiety and meant that they now found themselves in front of the doors leading into the ballroom.

Looking inside he saw quite a few others, but what stood out to them were the piles of pillows and blankets, perfect to lay down on and read a book or do whatever you wanted to.

Their first instinct had been to bring some of their homework with them, but that would've defeated the purpose of being fun and likely would've gotten him some weird looks. Or that's at least what they thought, which meant that Mylo had instead opted to bring the book they were currently reading, a book about Norse mythology which they were quite intrigued by.

Just before he walked through the door he heard a familiar meow, which belonged to their cat Ash. Mylo had left them to wander around the halls for a bit as he had seemed to be in a mood and Mylo knew that they couldn't force Ash to do anything he didn't want to if he was in such a mood. But they were glad he had come back to them now.

Crouching down to give their little black ball of fur a pet Ash seemed to have calmed down, enjoying the attention he was getting and let Mylo pick him up.

Finally walking into the room Mylo greeted the Sage and scanned the room for a comfy spot to sit down, when they spotted a familiar face. Maisie was sitting next to another familiar face, one of their co-captains Aston Beckett.

Seeing that they both had their pets with their Mylo quickly took stock of how Ash was doing, he seemed to have calmed down and wasn't very interested in what others were doing. Coming to the conclusion that he wouldn't attack anyone Mylo made his way over to the 2 other Ravenclaws, holding onto Ash and their book.

"Uhm, hi! Do you guys mind if I come and sit with you?"

𝕽eally? Was Ruth’s first thought to Aurelia’s reply as the girl went on to proclaim against Ruth’s friendly statement. Oh well. Best let her have this one. Ruth smiled warily at Aurelia as the two wandered further into the room. The Badger spied an opening, spacious area far enough from the rest of the gathered students and led the other there. She then reached for a bundle of blankets and more pillows. The quantity that she had brought over was suited only for one, and there was the Aurelia to consider.

Image posted by the member
“April is quite remarkably eventful,” Ruth echoed after Aurelia, trying to form a comfortable lump for them to snuggle into. There was so much to do, errands to attend, balls to enjoy. If not for the experience, Ruth would have believed all these events bunched into one to be draining. Yet, Ruth could not bring herself to complain. She doubted she would ever forget everything that had happened so far, nor regret anything that she had done. “Help me with this, will ya?” She held up a pillow towards Aurelia before tossing it in her direction, too busy making a bundle of pillows and blankets to wait even a second longer for her friend to intercept it.

As she turned back towards spreading the blankets, a sudden presence made her stiffen. Before she could take a look at who it may be, her shoulder had sagged with the weight of Pamela’s head. Ruth raised a brow at Pamela, the new nickname that had escaped from her lips not gone unnoticed. “Pam,” she greeted, then grinned, scrounging through a nearby pile and pulling out a couple of smaller blankets for Pamela to spread. May as well, now that she is here. “You alright?”

A growl caught her attention, as she peered past Pamela to see Aurelia’s cat, Stalker, tense under Aurelia’s hand. Ruth reached past her best friend to pet the cat under the raven-haired girl’s palm, cooing softly. “He very much suits you, then.” Ruth teased. It was true. Should Aurelia have been a cat, she would have probably snarled as well. The only difference may be that instead of a might bite, it would be a will bite. Ruth guffawed at her own joke, though the others wouldn’t have found a reason to join in unless they could read her mind.

The bundle of blankets and pillows now complete, Ruth let herself fall face flat into the cushioning mess, sighing contentedly. “I think we did a good job setting this up.” She said aloud, glancing up at Pamela and Aurelia. “Now don’t go sleepy,” she warned the two of them. “We might end up falling asleep here, miss curfew, and get detention!” She shot a look at Pamela. Again.

The voice of a girl drew Aston's attention away from Rosales, the cute rabbit in her arms caught Aston's eye more than anything else. She did seem familiar, it took him a few moments to remember but he managed to recognise her as one of the duellists for Ravenclaws' duelling team. His liking towards quidditch never stopped Aston from enjoying duelling. "Ah hello, I'm Aston! Yeah I suppose I am now, can't say it hasn't taken a bit of getting used to. " That part was true, quiddich always came easier to him as a half blood, but he won't let his lack of practical duelling experience stop him from doing his job. "That's a pity but I hope that first match was still fun, " Aston said while offering a smile at Maisie, "I remember once a second year I know went against a fifth year in a duel for fun, I was the referee that they found for that. It went about as well as you'd expect but they had fun and that was the important part." To Aston that really was the point of sports, winning gave a good feeling but that was just part of the fun, soon that trail of thought ended and his attention went back to the rabbit he now know is called Mischief. "Mischief, that's a nice name, this here," Aston said while petting his ferret, "is Rosales."

Yet another Ravenclaw showed up, this time being Aston's fellow co-captain Mylo Atkins, also holding their pet, a black cat Aston thought was adorable. "Hi Mylo, looks like all three of us had the same idea, what is your cat's name? Feel free to sit anywhere, I don't mind."

Circe cautiously walks into the ballroom, holding her weighted blanket in her hands and dressed in her favorite pajamas, a dark blue button-up shirt and matching shorts, both adorned with gold stars. Also in her hands was a tin full of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies, made earlier in the day with the help of the kitchen she had noticed other students walking in and out of. People like cookies, right? I like cookies at least. Can I bribe people into talking too me with cookies?
Looking around, she noticed the party had definitely started already, if the various conversations and costumes were anything to go off of. Were those people's actual pajamas or were they just for show? That can't be comfortable to sleep in right?
Circe walks further into the ballroom, looking around for a spot that was (mostly) unoccupied. Walking in between groups of friends and over stacks of blankets and pillows, she spots a clearing in the left side of the room, a little bit away from the middle of the ballroom. She plops herself down criss cross applesauce on the floor and wraps her blanket around her shoulders.
Okay, so what are we doing now? Circe looked around at the various people surrounding her, already engrossed in their own conversations. Do I just walk up to someone? Like, hey you don't know me and I'm interrupting your conversation with your friend but maybe I can be your friend too? I brought cookies to bribe you with too. Circe shook her head as if she could disperse her thoughts and mentally told herself to stop being dumb and just talk to someone.
Taking another look around, she realized that wouldn't be as easy as it seems, especially when the person in question was Circe, who could barely form a coherent thought when meeting new people. Especially intimidating new people, which most were. Why did I come again? Oh, right, to try and meet potential friends. Cause that's going great.
Sighing, she looks at the cookie tin in her lap. There were snacks everywhere, no one was going to talk to her for a chocolate chip cookie, that was ridiculous. She popped open the lid and took a bite out of one. Well, at least they were tasty. If she was alone for the night at least she had her treats. Perhaps someone would come up to her, perhaps she would gain some confidence. There was still the rest of the night to go, right?

Kaitlyn smiled warmly. “It’s a pleasure to meet you, Graci,” she replied politely to her. “Gracilia is such a unique name,” she observed. Before she could think of something else to say, another girl came over to her shyly and asked a bunch of questions. Kaitlyn blinked in surprise, her brain running in overdrive to process all of the questions directed at her. “Oh, um, Hi Lexi, it’s nice to see you,” she smiled shyly back. “My day … it’s been all right, kind of tiring, though! How was yours? Transfiguration is good … I like Herbology, myself,” she replied.

But Lexi ran away just as quickly as she had arrived in front of Kaitlyn. She had to wonder if the younger girl even heard her answers. A small giggle escaped her lips as she turned back to Graci. “Definitely very energetic. I’ve met her briefly, we’re in the same house,” she offered as an explanation. “Sorry about that, I didn’t intend to disrupt our conversation."

Her blue eyes spotted a familiar Gryffindor. “Hi Sere!” She called out as she waved at Sere, giving her a smile. She had been part of a group with Sere at the Tavern the other day. It was an interesting experience, even if she had no prior knowledge of escape rooms. All that mattered was that she had fun, and fun was definitely had.

Kaitlyn answered the girl, definitely Lexi now, and seemed a tad bit flustered. Ah, same house, makes sense I guess.

This girl, Kaitlyn as she introduced herself, seemed to know everyone, calling hello to those she knew.

"So, Kaitlyn, what brings you to this pajama party? The people, the snacks, or something else?" Graci knew what allured her, possible social interactions. She wasn't usuallly one to wantr to talk to people, but she hadn't amassed a huge amount of friends. Not that she needed to but around five-ish would be nice. Maybe an older girl too, to show her around.

All this thinking of friends had her thinking of her muggle friends back in London. Graci wondered how Makayli and Lindin were holding up, if they moved on or missed her terribly. Maybe a little bit of both. Oh, Alia, do you think they'll forget about me?

Alia was Graci's favorite friend of her best friends, which might have been a bit messed up, but Alia trusted her the most.

Graci realized she had gone somewhere else entirely, which was probably quite rude. So much for first impressions I suppose.

Aston and his pet, Rosales, seemed friendly enough. Nodding, she agreed it probably was an adjustment: being co-captain of a sport you weren't even playing. Though perhaps he had played in the past? She didn't know. Either way, with the change in hierarchy, she figured she should get to know him and help make sure he felt welcome on board.

But then he filled in the gap: he might not be a duellist himself, but he had been a referee. And his experience of that seemed somewhat daunting to say the least. "I bet the second year learned something," she said. Because for Maisie, that was the important part. Sure, her duells in the past had given her a kind of high, but there was no denying that getting constantly and consistently beat up on the block had not been fun. No, it had been a challenge. And just like her father had taught her, Maisie would always rise to a challenge.

But she'd leave it for now, not wanting to make a bad impression. And thankfully, her favorite, most responsible Ravenclaw had decided to show up. "Mylo, hi coach!" she greeted them excitedly, while making some room on the bean bags. In some ways, it was surprising to see Mylo show up, but maybe they were finally learning to have some fun! Oh, Avis would be so proud!

And Mylo had even brought their cat! Maisie was not familiar with the critter—nor with Rosales for that matter—but she hoped they'd all get along. It was so disappointing the way that Avis' cat and Mischief just hadn't gotten along. "Do you both take your pets for walks? Sometimes I take Mischief for a walk along the corridors. Maybe we could all go together one time?" she suggested, trying both to make conversation and be polite.

But there was one thing Maisie really wanted to know now that her coach (and new co-captain!) was here along with the second new co-captain: what on earth was Ravenclaw's strategy to actually win something? How long she could starve off asking this blunt question was a question that remained and from the way she grit her teeth, it wouldn't be too long.
