Beyond the Brick Wall
The day had finally arrived. Luca had spent the last couple of weeks restlessly anticipating the Saturday when he would embark on a journey starting from King's Cross Station. The morning was emotional for Lilliana, who was spending her last day preparing Luca. She would, of course, return to stay with the Corranados during the holiday seasons when Luca was home, if he came home. However, for the better part of ten years, Lilliana had helped Lorenzo and Amelia raise Luca into the young man he was about to become. The Wand That Chose Me ...revisit his past...
Amelia and Lilliana spent the early Saturday morning fawning over Luca, much to his chagrin. He dressed in his usual smart casual attire, which was mostly black; it was a color he enjoyed wearing because it was visually appealing. His sense of style primarily came from Lilliana, alongside his parents' guidance, and he was adapting to it quite well at a young age. His father finished putting together his custom trunk of school supplies, ensuring everything was nearly folded and accounted for.
They arrived very early at Luca's request, as he wanted to secure a good seat on the Hogwarts Express. Although the train did not depart from Platform 9 3/4 until 11 am, they were ready to leave for King's Cross Station by 8 am. They opted to use the Floo Network and then stroll through Muggle London to King's Cross Station. As they all entered the fireplace, loudly announcing "Leaky Cauldron!" one by one, they emerged on the other side and headed out. They made the 40-minute walk from Charring Cross Road to King's Cross Station. As they arrived at the station, they walked through, picked up a trolley, ignored the muggles, and headed for Platform 9 3/4.
As they stood before a flat brick wall between platforms 9 and 10, Luca looked to his parents for guidance.

Beyond the Brick Wall
"You take your trolley and walk straight at the wall," Amelia said to Luca after noticing his puzzling look. Lorenzo lifted his eyebrows for a moment, likely recalling a different experience at Ilvermorny, but he crossed his arms and nodded in encouragement to his boy. Lilliana, also a Hogwarts alumnus, nodded in agreement with the group and stood there with anticipation. Luca glanced at the brick briefly and took a deep breath, slightly white-knuckling the trolley.
"Straight at the wall?" Luca asked curiously.
"Straight at the wall," Amelia confirmed again.
Luca stared down the wall and took another deep breath after exhaling the last one. Taking some large steps to gain good momentum, he walked straight toward the wall. His eyes instinctively shut as he touched the wall, but opened instantly when he realized he didn't crash. Magic wasn't new to him, but all of these experiences were, so he was surprised and excited by every single one.
Luca looked in amazement at the huge, long train staring him down from the other side of the wall. He slowed his trolley and was met by a porter who happily took his trunk as his parents and Lilliana stepped onto Platform 9 3/4 behind him. They soon found themselves amongst a group of wizards and witches of all shapes and sizes. The women in their group began getting watery-eyed as they realized they were about to send Luca off.

Beyond the Brick Wall
Luca stood there for a few minutes, allowing Amelia and Lilliana to fawn over him. He eventually groaned slightly after they exaggerated just a little too much for his liking. After another moment, both women wiped their tears away and stepped aside to make way for Lorenzo, who was standing behind them, patiently waiting his turn. The man stepped forward and kneeled before Luca, placing a heavy hand on his shoulder. Luca felt the weight, and it almost seemed like his father was applying more pressure on purpose.
"There's a lot more weight on your shoulders now, son. You're going to be living on your own and forging your own path. Your mother, Lilliana, and I will always be there for you, but your destiny is entirely your own. You understand that?" Lorenzo said to Luca over the hustle and bustle of Platform 9 3/4. Luca listened and nodded, taking in the words but not entirely processing them at that moment. He was far too excited to get on the train and start heading for Hogwarts.
"We love you," Amelia said sweetly as his father finished his speech. They all nodded and gave him one final farewell before turning upon hearing the whistle of the train, indicating that it was almost time to leave. Luca confidently stepped onto the Hogwarts Express and found an empty car to enjoy the journey.
"I love you too," Luca had said before getting on the train as well.
