Here's the first verse I'm doing! I felt like this verse would be perfect since a lot of people (including me) have been going through some really hard stuff lately. (I'll probably make a thread for this specifically if everyone likes the idea!)

"I know the LORD is always with me. I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me."

Hi guys! It's been 5 or 6 years since I was last on here, and it's great to see that this community is still active! I plan on deactivating my account soon, but maybe sometime in the future I'll be back under a different name. Just wanted to check back in :D

Will not be active for a while, sorry.

It is really interesting to find a space like this on the forum. It really makes this site feel like a community when there are a variety of diverse beliefs and sub communities flourishing. I probably wont post here much, but I just wanted to say how wholesome it is to find this thread. I'm a non-denominational protestant, though when I go to church it is Church of England. I just don't necessarily agree with everything they preach and fundamentally I think the only connection that really matters is personal between you and God. You don't have to go to church to be a good Christian.

I think that this is really interesting. I've had a similar experience, though with the Lutheran Church. I'm also a non-denominational protestant (the mouthful that is:) and there is a part of me that enjoys that, because hearing the slightly difference in doctrine forces me to look into my Bible and solidify what I believe and why, rather than just listening to whatever I'm told. It certainly strengthened my connection with God.
