Gryffindor vs. Ravenclaw Dodgeball
@Max Avery & @Ruthie GreerMaggie had always loved dodgeball— particularly because she’d always been rather good at it. She’d always loved the fast-paced, high-stakes competition, and her accuracy was notoriously amazing. Therefore, when she saw the advertisement for Gryffindor V. Ravenclaw dodgeball, she kind of had to sign up, right?
She knew some of the people on her team, some being friends, some, well, not. She had been invited to @Griseldis Edelhardt’s Tea Party, so she supposed she knew her, and she’d seen @Marla Quinlan around the halls a few times— she thought the redhead and her would be friends, but they’d never had the chance to talk. She recognized @Kyle DeRook, who she was friendly enough with, and she found herself feeling glad that they had so many Quidditch players on their team.
She was actually really great friends with @Euphrasia Millie, however, and she stood near her when @Elaine Pendrast blew her whistle and the match started. Maggie mock-glared at @Tatiana Crane, her best friend, from across the field, and she smiled at @Ruthie Greer, who she recognized from a party Maggie had recently thrown.
Before Maggie could grab a ball, they were all gone, being grabbed by some of the students who’d been closer to the border-line. Maggie awkwardly stood for a second, before glancing around to see what the other students without balls (i literally can’t type that without making it sound like an innuendo whoops) were doing.
@Max Avery, unfortunately, was also a part of the team, along with @Eris Fawley, who Maggie would’ve been friends with if Eris wasn’t a pureblood elitist. Ew. She noticed the spray of green sparks erupt from Max’s wand, and her mind drifted back to the charm she’d learned in first year. For a few moments, she struggled to remember it, but her mind cleared and she grinned.
“Vermillious” she grinned, aiming her wand towards @Tatiana Crane, who she was confident wouldn’t really mind. Sorry, Tati.Action: try to cast the green sparks charm at Tatiana CraneEDIT: sorry, I saw that Eris threw a ball at Ruth like, just now, so I changed my target to Tatiana... if that won’t work just lmk and I’ll change it haha

Lined up at the playing field, Adrian was basically vibrating on place. She was excited. She had always loved games and competition, especially ones that makes your heart race. She absolutely loved the rush of adrenaline, the thrill and the risk. It was amazing. So when she saw the advertisement for the dodgeball game, she signed up as fast as she could.
She opted to wear a simple tank top and a pair of shorts. Nice and flexible. Balls started flying as soon as the signal was given. Adrian watched balls getting snatched up by her teammates as well as the opposing team. Scanning the field, she saw a Ravenclaw throwing a ball at her. She reacted quickly and rolled aside, hoping to dodge the ball aimed at her.

Gryffindor vs. Ravenclaw Dodgeball
xxxxAn outsider looking in on Phaedra's schedule would have cause to believe that she was only ever a goody-two-shoes and a stick in the mud— but that assumption couldn't be any further from the truth. Despite it all, Phaedra did like to have her fun when the time called for it. This was one of those instances. The weather was too lovely to not partake in outdoors activities, and more importantly, her homework due for next week had already been completed. Between lounging, bored, with little to do in the castle, a game of dodgeball was the clear decision.
xxxxAs everyone stood waiting for the game to start, Phaedra took a long look at the starting positions. The two houses were lined up in two separate lines, facing each other, with a white line marking a boundary. There were several students she knew already, particularly Dymphna and Adam, and as for the Gryffindors, Alan, Maxwell, and Eris. The latter stood directly in front of Phaedra, her signature Fawley hair bright as a beacon. Drawn to it, Phaedra could easily take forward aim and hit the girl, but Eris was her friend. She decided to save friends for last, hopeful that they'd exhibit the same mercy for her.
xxxxHowever, standing beside Eris was some boy she had never seen before [KYLE]. Paired with his cocky finger guns, he looked rather like the "jock" type, and therefore, a threat to her team. After hearing the whistle blow from Professor Barnaby, Phaedra took out her wand to cast something to throw him off. "Steleus," she enunciated clearly.Action: Attempt to cast Steleus, the Sneezing Hex, at Kyle DeRook.
I am also assuming the list in the opening post is the order everyone's lined up in.

Ah, dodgeball. The one thing nobody ever wanted to do in the sports class except for the overly-athletic kids. Millie, was in fact, not one of the kids who liked dodgeball. But this wasn't normal muggle school, right? So magic had to be allowed, and she just had to sign-up.
And besides, she had a few friends on her team, and the other, this should be a fun game. If not fun, at least interesting. That's how thing in Hogwarts worked. Or, at least, thats how they were. But for the love of god, if this turned out like one of the dances, where everything ended up in a fire and murder- she would never ever sign up for an event. Ever. Again.
When the time was right, she traveled down to the Great lake, where she could already see a whole bunch of Gryffindors and Ravenclaws lined up, ready for the game to start. She joined the Gryffindor group and saw Maggie. When the whistle blew, the two drew closer together.
Millie was not the type of person who wanted to throw a ball, but she was okay at catching, so hopefully something would go right. So, like Maggie, she drew her wand from her pocket, and looked around for a suitable target. There was a Ravenclaw girl she didn't know, but she had a ball and Millie felt it was right to cast something at her...
"Verdimillious!" She shouted, pointing her wand at the girl.

She was here mostly out of curiosity. She wasn't exactly sure what dodgeball was, or how to play it, but the other kids had made it sound like it was a really fun game. Well, those kids were idiots. Last she checked, games that involved throwing balls at objects or people, were only fun if you were the one throwing the balls- and, well this apparently involved both teams pelting balls at one another. Those kids that she had overheard, failed to mention that part. So there she was. In a particularly bitter mood. Standing there. Regretting the decisions that she was making in life. She was kind of inappropriately dressed for this event, sporting a pair of black boots and spats that came to her knee, a pair of high-waisted black pants, and a high-necked Victorian blouse with a black and white vertical stripe pattern on it- Inappropriate maybe, but the outfit was stylish for sure. Her cat, Schrödinger had refused to stay in the common rooms on this particular day, so she was forced to bring him along with her, and leave her umbrella behind. She couldn't watch him and her umbrella. Besides her valued item was best left in her trunk where no one could take it. So she reluctantly had to bring fat grey feline with her. Whoopee. Maybe Schrödinger wanted to watch his beloved owner get demolished in this silly muggle game. She had Schrödinger wait in the spectator area. That way, she could make sure he didn't wander off.
The rules of the game were simple enough. Don't cross onto the other teams side, or hit your other teammates. Alright. So this was a game that involved teamwork. The only issue now was the fact that she didn't completely understand how teams worked. But she had an idea- ideas were better than nothing. She took a second to see who exactly she was dealing with. Her yellow eyes, danced around a slitted pupil. Scanning. Watching. Seeing who she recognized. Seeing who recognized her. She could pinpoint a few third years on her team. One of them being a freakishly short redhead. What was her name? Erin? Elvis? It was something that started with a E. She really only saw her in passing, and- oh. She was one of the kids that was helping put the fire out at the Blossom Ball. Ah, yeah that. The fire that you started...thats embarrassing. And upon realizing this, she noticed another child that had happened to be at that failed event. Arc. She had a brief exchange with him, but never ran into him since. -And was that...was that Kaegen? This game was going to end badly.
She took a step out of line, pacing; observing which one of the opponents on the Ravenclaw team were possible issues. That little fat kid looks like he could hurt someone, just by breathing in their direction. That was a weird thought. Was he worth targeting? Well- no. He probably had the reflexes of a sloth, besides someone else had targeted him. All the other Ravenclaws looked rather...well, weak to say the least. Like they had realized they made a mistake, and had come accept their fate. But then there was Arc, and Kaegen. Both were very smart. But one was a bigger issue than the other. And that issue was the fact that Arc was stupidly distracting even while he was doing nothing at the time.
She made her decision. Her eyes locked onto him, her pupils shrinking into daggers. Her wild hair writhed ever so slightly, as if a soft breeze was moving it. She moved so she had a clear view of the boy. "Obscuro." She hissed with a quick flick of her wand. She couldn't hit him with a ball, but she could at least try to prevent him from trying to grab any balls to hit her team with.

For those of you spectating, you can play with (godmod) Schrödinger in your spectating thread, if you would like. He is a plump, orange-eyed, four year old Chartreux cat; who will temporarily be your friend if you feed him. He doesn't meow, instead he makes a sound that sounds like waow. He is your stereotypical lazy cat. Note that he is not aggressive unless you try to hurt him.

Gryffindor vs. Ravenclaw Dodgeball
Katrina raced down to join everyone for the dodge ball competition. She wasn't the strongest, and didn't know very many people- but a competition sounded fun. She found her way along with a few other Gryffindors. She didn't even bother to go for any of the balls. Instead she raced stealthy behind some of her teammates until she was in the middle of the court.
The game moved so fast, spells flew all over the place. Katrina brought her wand from her cloak and held it steady. What would she do? She could distract someone with the colored sparks, or she could create a smokescreen. Too bad she didn't know the bubble producing charm. At once she came to a conclusion.
"Rictusempra!" her wand flowed in the feather shape as she hoped the luminous white light would appear. Her target was the first person she saw, Arc Perscivious. The only Ravenclaw she recognized, and knew by name.

Gryffindor vs. Ravenclaw Dodgeball
Oliver was at the location early, he had been training for the event for the past few days and had gotten into an early sleep schedule. Although he had ran and did one or two sit ups a day, his evasion and strength still seemed to not exist.
He wore a black t-shirt with the emblem of the Wimbourne Wasps on the left chest area. It was his fathers although it just about fit his round body, being on the baggy end. With this, he wore black, jogging shorts and white runners. On his wrists he had a long strap, which was actually his wand holder, meant for concealing wands under sleeves.
As they lined up, Oliver couldn't help but look over at Dymphna. It wasn't so much as a crush, his extreme lack of confidence destroyed any thoughts of ever having a chance. He just found her satisfying to look at. She was pretty in Oliver's eyes.
As soon as the match begun, Oliver whipped out his wand and locked eyes on Kyle. He could tell by his general direction and body language that he was going to try flatten Oliver first. With a fast whip of his wand, Oliver aimed and cast Obscuro at Kyle, attempting to conjure a blindfold on the brute.

Gryffindor vs. Ravenclaw Dodgeball
To say that Tatiana wasn't really the 'sporty' type would have been putting it generously. Nevertheless, against her better judgment, she had decided to sign up for the dodgeball game set up between her own house and Gryffindor. It was the first event planned since they'd all returned after the summer break and she figured a little team building exercise could be good fun- even if the potential for irreversible damage to her pride was all but inevitable.
Taking her place on the Ravenclaw side, in a single line with the rest of her housemates, she took the opportunity to size up the competition. On the Gryffindor side were a lot of faces she didn't recognize, and only a couple that she did. A little ways down from where she was standing, she lit up at the sight of the familiar face of her first and closest friend, Maggie Parker. Regrettably, she hadn't had the chance to see her much since they'd both returned from summer break, but some good ole competition was as good a time as any to catch up.
A smirk on her face, she drew her wand from her pocket. While she couldn't guarantee she'd be much help to her team when it came to nailing a target with one of the balls provided, her spell casting had been, at the very least, better than average. She wasn't one to brag, but it did give her a bit of confidence when she found out they'd be allowed to use their wands as well.
She glanced up to see her Head of House flying above the playing field, just as the balls were tossed down, landing squarely between the two teams. With a shout from the Gryffindor Head of House, the game had begun. Several of her teammates, as well as ones from the Gryffindor side, made a mad dash for the balls, scrambling and nearly knocking each other over in the process. She stood back, staying clear of the commotion, and stifled a grin as she lifted her wand.
Looking for an easy target, it wasn't until this very moment that she noticed another recognizable face. A fiery girl with a strong personality she'd met during Savannah's short lived stint with her dark with society. Stifling a giggle, she stood up straight and cleared her throat before speaking. Eyes fixed on the red headed Gryffindor girl almost directly across from her, she pointed her wand and shouted her incantation in a loud, clear tone. "Tarantallegra!" She figured it wouldn't do much damage, but at the very least, it would be entertaining to watch.

Gryffindor vs. Ravenclaw Dodgeball
Cecily sprinted towards the Great Lake-- late again, of course. After over two years of being not quite on time to anything, "perpetually late" was apparently a curse she had to bear.
As she joined her team for dodgeball-- a sport she had never heard of but which seemed, from how Professor Ryker had described it, to be a large mass of controlled violence-- she let out an exasperated breath. Of course, all the balls were being thrown already. She was really hoping to avoid using any spell so that she wouldn't look like a fool when they inevitably didn't work, but she had no other choice.
She heard assorted spells being shouted by students on both teams, giving her enough inspiration. Eyeing the other lions, she spotted a vaguely familiar face, and smiled. Sorry, Eris. It wasn't personal.

Kaegen wandered out onto the field, heard the instructions, and just blinked. What, was that it? This was just a game? He moved to the back of the field once the game started, and just watched the other players throw balls back and forth. What was the point of all this? Ravenclaw pride? He didn't exactly have much of that. And not much competitive spirit, unless it had something to do with survival, or maybe food. He recognized some of the other players but didn't care enough to do anything about it.
By the time he had reached the far corner of the field, he had decided to just stand there. If someone threw something at him, they'd have to throw pretty far, but he'd try to dodge or catch. Just a little boy with a fading robe, he knew everyone would be aware of where he was, after all, they could feel him. But there probably wouldn't be anything done about that.
Maybe something would happen later ...or something. He noticed the girl with the nice cat, and Eris pretty fast. As well as the guy who had tried to hit him with a spell that one time. It didn't bother him, there was professor mandated safety, an area of truce that was being used to play ball.
