Give Me Back My Recipe!
@Ruth FairchildTo one Ruth Fairchild, Hufflepuff, 12 years old, Taker of Recipes,
It was truly wonderful getting to meet you, Ruth! Have I ever told you, I really like that name? Ruth. It’s so warm and familiar. Like a hug. We really hit it off I think and I really enjoyed our time together. I am really interested in learning how to cook from you and I wish one day we can make that happen. You are by far the most interesting person I met that day and I met some people. I hope we can go on that ‘date’ as you liked to call it. But…
I do have just one small grievance with you. It’s really quite small. What I mean to say is this:
Give me back my recipe!

Give Me Back My Recipe!
@Dennis Tumberton
To one Dennis Tumberton, Ravenclaw, 12 years old, "love adviser",
Sorry for taking so long to owl you back Hello I'd like to say the same to you, Doc. I enjoyed the small time we had together, though I'd have to give some of that French Tea partial credit for making it quite the experience. I still wish I asked how you manage to snag some from France. You must have had a limited supply, but you were kind enough to share some with me, to which I am thankful for.
Also, I absolutely did NOT call it a date. YOU DID. I meant the date, as in DD/MM/YYYY? You meant date, as in, well, you know, “a social or romantic appointment or engagement.” But thanks for the compliment. You may as well be the first person to appreciate my name. It was a surprise to read it.
I deeply apologise for your…'grievance’, but I cannot give you your recipe back. If you consider it stealing, I disagree. I did ask before I left! Perhaps I shouldn't have taken it, but surely you understand. I really, really need the article to make some of that pasta, you see.
Look, okay, okay. How about I invite you to do it with me? We can make that our “date”, and you did say you'd like to cook with me.
With all due respect,
Ruth Fairchild
P.S Sol knows when one is displeased with what they just read, so try to look really happy alright?

Give Me Back My Recipe!
@Ruth FairchildTo Ruth - a great name no matter what you say
I will gladly share tea with you any time you would like. It was a honor to meet your acquaintance. I hope we do have a chance to meet in the future. However…
As for the term “date,” it is appropriate a believe to use it in the context of a “social appointment,” or did you want something beyond that? Let’s maybe be clear about how the doctor can help YOU.
I do not quite understand what you mean by “cannot give your recipe back.” You didn’t even give me a chance to reply before you ran away! You could have just asked to make it together with me.
I do accept your offer of a date. I do so love food and eating! Where would we cook? We aren’t allowed in the kitchen until we are older!
Respectedfully,
Dennis

To Dennis, unforgettable red-haired lad,
Oh, so that was what you meant. An 'appointment'? Apologies for the misunderstanding, it was reckless of me to think you meant...other things. Well, who can blame me? February was a fog of love and romance, and spending all that time seeping it in at Beauxbatons has made me a bit of a sap. I don't mind another 'appointment', I think it'd be great actually! I have currently broken all (or most) of the advice you have told me so far and nothing seems to go haywire yet. Maybe you gave me something that isn't up to date? Not sure, doc.
And what do you mean you don't understand? I need that letter. If you want it back really badly, I promise to owl it back to you someday, before April of course. Or before I graduate. Who knows! Hm, are you sure you didn't reply? I swear I saw you give me a nod. I was so excited I mustn't have taken a notice and merely illusioned it. Maybe :) In my haste, I hadn't even thought of asking you. So sorry.
Also, yes, I can tell you love eating. You did say that baked good's are a boy's best friend, right? I don't plan on telling you where we'll cook yet--how about if this letter ends up in the hands of a professor? Not sure if there's such a thing as a letter inspection, but it's good to keep my eyes open and accept possibilities. All I can tell you is that you'll have to wait for further instructions if you genuinely do want to do it with me. I feel half-afraid that you'll pounce upon me at first sight and try to grapple at the recipe and THEN run away.
I'm not taking my chances,
Ruth F.

Give Me Back My Recipe!
To Ruth, master of cooking and baking,
I mean I can mean whatever you are most comfortable with meaning but yes I do mean appointment. If you need more love advice, I can certainly give you something from level 2 code of dating wisdom if level 1 hasn’t worked for you.
I think we will have to agree to disagree on how it is you STOLE my recipe and now won’t give it BACK. But I understand what you are saying. Why don’t we do this? We can meet, and if we cook together, then I won’t try to take my recipe back. That sounds fair to me!
Sincerely,
Dennis
@Ruth Fairchild

To Dennis, very peaceful negotiator,
I shall ignore a major chunk of the first paragraph because you sent my mind in a boggle, and it's currently past curfew as I write this. This said, I figured I could get the letter done so that you can receive the letter by tomorrow, maybe. Also, what on earth is 'Level 2 code of dating wisdom'? More advice and cautioning? I...suppose that won't hurt.
You know, I was thinking. If I did the meal with you, and you with me, we would both need to share the recipe. Fair and square, right? Afterwards, we can decide on who it is that would take the slip of paper and claim it for themselves. Or you can take it back, since you are right, it is rightfully yours, I have totally stolen it and won't give it back.
I have a location set and ready, but I don't think I should reveal it through Owl. A lot of people do know this place and I'm not even sure if it's out of bounds, since it's never been mentioned by the school, ever. I'd just like you to meet me on the 5th floor corridor, and we'll head on from there how about that?
In other words, here's the detailed list:

Give Me Back My Recipe!
Ruth, Inviter of Meals,
I agree. We will see who finally gets the recipe. If you are lucky, the food will be so good I will simply forget and take a nap. You better bring your best cooking skills and I will bring my best eating skills.
See you at that location, Ruth! I will come hungry!
