Suddenly, a bird flew and bumped into the kitchen window before flying off. Dylan, who was about to grab a plate from the cupboard, was so surprised that he accidentally caused some of the plates to fly across the room where they crashed into the opposite wall near where his mom was standing. ─────────────── HISTORY Reducio For years Dylan grew up and lived in Wales. He loved it there. Every holiday and summer, his entire family would go to his grandparents house, and stay there. It was amazing. While there, Dylan always loved spending time with his cousin, Avery. They were inseparable. Every day they would hang out and explore and play in the woods their grandparents owned. It was the perfect life. It was the day that Avery was forced away by her mother because of a disagreement and never came back that changed Dylan's life forever. That day, him, his father, and his mother moved to America. A place Dylan had never been. At first, Dylan didn't like living in America. He wanted to be free again like he was in his real home in Wales. When he first got to America, he was very quiet and rarely got out of his room. He was upset that he was dragged across the world to a country that he had never been to. It was about a month after they moved that he began to open up a little more to the idea of a new country. After a few years and still living in America, Dylan started school at Ilervmony. Even though he wishes to be at Hogwarts, he is enjoying America a lot more than he was when he first moved. ───────────────
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION Reducio Dylan Isaac Astor (Dyl) has short black hair that covers part of his forehead. It is slightly wavy and usually messy. He is about 5 foot tall. He has very bright blue eyes that are his defining feature. He's handsome and strong.	In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: It goes on.	MENTAL DESCRIPTION Reducio Dylan is charismatic, smart, and kind. He loves spending time outside and hanging out with Avery. He is like Avery, but more quiet than she is. But once you are friends with him, he is very loyal and will never abandon you.

HISTORY Reducio Growing up, her home was her sanctuary. She lived in a cozy, somewhat crowded house with her parents and three younger brothers who were always three, four, and six years behind her. Being the only girl, she was definitely "Daddy’s princess," and her father- a wizard who worked at an owlery at Diagon Alley - tended to spoil her whenever he could. Money was often tight, so while she had a "mini library" in her room, most of her reading happened on a tablet because she went through books far too fast for the family budget to keep up with. Because of her love for books and animals of all kinds -ecspecially owls though - her father took her with him to work often, where she helped care for the owls. On breaks, she'd usually go to Florish and Blotts and just look at the magical books. The staff - who knew here by name now- were nice and let her stay for as long as she liked. She often helped with stacking and arranging the books as well. Her mother, a Muggle, was adamant that she get a traditional education before Hogwarts, so she spent her early years in Muggle schools. It was a difficult time. She was targeted for being a nerd but also for her faith; the bullying became so intense that she eventually stopped wearing her Hijab just to try and blend in. She kept the pain to herself to avoid worrying her parents, using physical pain (the nail-pressing) to distract from the emotional hurt. It wasn't until a teacher noticed and called her parents that they realized what was happening and pulled her out.

FIOM Reducio It happened when she was seven years old, tucked away in a corner with a book. She had reached a particularly frustrating part of the story where the villain was winning, and her internal anger spiked so sharply that the pages literally burst into flames. Instead of being scared, she was ecstatic. She ran to show her parents, who were so thrilled that her magic had finally manifested that they threw her a little party to celebrate. It remains one of her happiest, warmest memories.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION Reducio She is quite petite, standing at only 4’8”, with light brown skin and a face that's hidden behind her prescription glasses. Her eyes are small and Asian-like. Wavy brown hair frames her face, which is heavily dotted with freckles across her nose and cheeks - a feature that stands out against her fuller lips. If you look closely at her hands, you’ll notice she keeps her nails clipped extremely short. It’s a necessity; her palms are marked with permanent, faint half-moon scars from a nervous habit of pressing her nails into her skin when she’s overwhelmed.

MENTAL DESCRIPTION Reducio On the surface, she comes across as shy or even a little standoffish, but that’s usually just a misunderstanding of her social anxiety. There are moments when talking to new people makes her feel completely paralyzed, literally unable to move. Once she feels safe, however, she is incredibly kind-hearted and loyal to a fault. In addition that she'll probably talk your ear off about any and everything. She’s the type of person who loves deeply and is absolutely terrified of losing people ( made worse by the friendship breakup she went through just before she went to Hogwarts, where the girl just stopped talking to her, even when Tala tried to talk to her again. And to this day, Tala never knew why that girl left), which makes her cling a bit to the few close friends she prefers over a large crowd. She’s a massive bookworm who finds comfort in stories. She loves learning , and right now she's teaching herself BSL just for the joy of learning something new. She has a specific soft spot for the aesthetic of fall and the way pink and purple look when they’re side-by-side (it reminds her of a sunset, maybe). Her past experiences with bullying have left her guarded, but her core remains someone who just wants to connect, even if it scares her. Because she was so sheltered and her parents did most of her talking for her—from dealing with relatives to the cashier at the shop—she’s still learning how to find her own voice.
