A pleasant smile touched her lips upon hearing @Prat Pass, or so she inferred that was his name, recognizing him as the current resident Captain of the Veridian Vipers after viewing so many matches prior to her cousin departing the team. @Matthew Campbell, another gent she'd recall at Headliner meetings, would scurry off to his bedside and point to his space as well.

Spin the Bottle. The girl couldn't help but stifle a hushed chuckle under her breath; of course, these drunken pubescent teens were playing this. She once thought the pastime beneath her, but what did Remedy have to lose should she engage? If the snake simply snagged a drink and made a sprint for it, the Slytherin undoubtedly wouldn't hear the end of it. Remedy swore the girl could hear the rebutter now; therefore, she braced herself for her untimely doom. Or so the Vipress believed would be her fate.

"Thank you," Remedy replied to them both with a passive smile and slight nod as her amused eyes glanced at the empty spaces awaiting her. As the girl side-stepped to allow passage for a few more girls who trickled into the room behind her, she hummed to herself in silent amusement as her brown gaze swiftly swept the room, silently speculating names from shared classes, sports, and Headliner meetings. She recognized Colin and Astra, but the rest of the attendees' names were fogged in the depths of her remembrance.

The Slytherin's eyes lit up upon the sight of mahogany nightstands with cherry inlets pulled together, featuring a vast spread of snacks and a few remaining vials. A drink! A drink was what Remedy had desired in the first place, and her legs would carry her toward delight, but she would jump in surprise as a familiar voice whispered in her ear. @Atlas Anderson

Swiveling around to find her former Prefect and Quidditch mate behind her, a brighter smile would don her countenance.
"Atlas! How are you?" Remedy replied warmly, "It appears we're not late at all. You can sit next to me, if you want."

Pointing to breach in the circle, a spot wide enough for two participants awaited them, and Remedy would flash a smile at him over her shoulder once more as she nabbed two drinks on the tabletop before plopping herself beside Atlas. Offering him one of the drinks, the girl would be a silent observer beside the one with whom she shared plenty of benched Quidditch time.

—— action. Remedy grabs two drinks, offering one to Atlas. watching game and waiting her turn.
—— notes. Permission to godmod Atlas. Prat, Matt, and Atlas interacted with. Open for interactions.<3

Mellani smiled back at Matt as he offered his seat to her. "Alright, thanks!" He looked pretty worried, and Mellani knew a forced smile when she saw one, but their first interaction did not seem appropriate enough to ask him if he was okay. She did not want to make anything between them awkward.

As the bottle spun, she noticed it landing on Aamon, and the girl who had been concerned for him at the rager. They both kissed, and the girl looked pretty shocked, reminding Mellani once again why she was not going to kiss anyone today. After all, they had the option of firewhisky, something Mellani had never tried, but it couldn't be too bad, could it?

Mellani watched as the bottle spun again... and landed on her and a girl with dark hair. Just her luck that the moment she entered, the bottle seemed compelled to land on her. She was pretty, but again, Mellani did not want to kiss anybody. The last thing she wanted was more awkwardness, so she asked Matt, the one who seemed to be the host for the even for some firewhisky. "I think I'll just give the firewhisky a try... I hope you don't mind?", she said to the girl she had been paired with, not that she was actually giving the girl much choice, but it was always kind to ask, even if it was rhetoric, right?

She took the glass of firewhisky in her hands and drank it in one shot, struggling to keep it down, but knowing that if she drank it sip-by-sip, she would probably never finish it, and struggle more. It was bitter, and she felt that her throat was being burned, but it was better than having to kiss someone. She was well aware that this was not meant for kids, and they weren't allowed to buy it, which made her wonder where Matt got it from, but she was not really going to question that, because she wanted an escape from kissing, and if it was just having a drink and struggling not to puke, that was good enough, because she had totally not seen something like this coming after walking into an event which was literally named S.N.O.G. Hopefully she wouldn't get drunk enough to actually consider kissing someone.

Having had applied to the relevant authorities and had his residence moved to a nook deep in the recesses of Saunders' mind, a gnome-like, utterly puritan greybeard caused a parochial fight in the boy's inner realm. Too staid a lad to effervesce with the sensuality, the Napier boy could indeed be regarded as an open and favourable target for the darts of moralism. On the opposite side of Saunders' mind, perched on the periphery of the wetlands, another faction, which had always found its highest representation in the sons who squandered their inherited fortune in the darkest dens, sang a different ballad. These cicadas, who, upon seeing the steeply sloping road of life, embraced the arms of resignation instead of arming themselves with the resolve to clamber over it, were urging Saunders to renounce the rounded sententiousness tripping heavily from the figurative pen narrating his emotions. For who knows however many times in this day, the glassen presence of the Nordic and the sultry intimacy of the Mediterranean were in battle formation, with Saunders' soul on the war plain.

At this point of the night, when snogging still remained a mere idea, two imagery surfaced in Saunders' mind. The first resembled a painting in which a spring of gurgling water gushed from somewhere in the nether circles of his spirit, surrounded by swirling rings rising from the fumes left behind by an archaic pageantry. The other, by comparison, corresponds to a highly abstract, expressionistic sketch of a much simpler sensation: a spasmodic disturbance.

The bottle, now guided by none other than the ghoulish hand of fate, was frenziedly destining the young snakes that circled around it, one by one, to new sentences. Saunders grew wide-eyed with anxiety to learn who among them the bottle, now almost deified and potentially primed to take its place in the pantheon of snakes (most probably on a pedestal as green as grass), would choose as Saunders' shackle mate. As it turned out, Saunders' fellow victim of fate was to be Elisa -- a girl he had not met face to face before, but a recognised practitioner of the horrible sport called Quidditch, in which the Napier boy was a complete disaster.

Saunders' young heart, contrary to all the basic rules of biology, broke out in a sweat. His eyes, like those of a pudibund, schoolmarmish Victorian bride, glided down to the floor. The blood began to churn in his veins, working to make the slight booze-induced flush already present on his cheeks even more visible. Saunders didn't know what position Elisa was playing in the Quidditch field, but he knew very well that he had no desire whatsoever to take a Bludger to his head. Besides, Saunders --quite plausibly-- didn't think he could be very good at an act he had never performed before.

The most sensible option, then, was to avoid any situation that carried even the slightest possibility of embarrassment, the boy concluded; and in order to do this, it was imperative for him to use any excuse, no matter how irrelevant. He began to brood about his options. What if he hid under the classic mantle of chivalry and said that he could not seduce a girl? Well, that wouldn't go down very well -- the participants of the game were not Shakespearean characters. But in the midst of such thoughts he managed to make an even more absurd decision, thanks to booze and its effects. He closed his eyes, clasping his hands together between his legs in a position as if waiting for his bridal veil to open. This was an interesting way to left Elisa in charge of whatever would or wouldn't happen.

Perhaps she was only dreaming- if only the English lexicon contained a verb form of nightmare, but perhaps it did and she was simply ignorant of its fortunate existence- but the fact her surroundings weren't shiny, shifting, or the open ocean suggested otherwise, and Astra found it increasingly difficult to remain. But she still hadn't caught sight of Hermes, and she refused to leave without him. It was a fear, losing him, her feline friend running off into the weeds never to return. It had almost happened once, right after the Spring Fiasco, and the bottomless fear that struck her heart was never to be experienced again. Even through it all- far too much to summarize here- every terror-inducing moment had not even begun to describe just how fearful she was to lose that stupid cat.

She'd spotted him. He, Greebo, and an unfamiliar orange cat seemed to be up to no good, but what else was new? "Hermes," she hissed. His ears twitched, but he spared her not a glance.

Ultramarine eyes shifted to a boy who'd been flitting about quite socially, offering her a seat closer to the festivities but still separate from the ritual game. Hand outstretched, as if she were to take it. As if this was a very dramatic and important choice, a turning point in her plotline.

Well, she supposed as long as she wasn't in the circle it wouldn't be so bad... She would be closer to the door. Astra slipped down from the windowsill, offering a quick and quiet "Thank you," before taking the first steps toward the circle of madness.

The orange cat belonged to a boy who had an air of melancholy about him. It was a cute cat. It had just been offered as a sacrifice from Nabi when she and one of the duelling captains had found the bottle dictating a smooch between them. The captain had a few scratches to show for it, and Astra found it quite amusing.

"What's its name?" she asked the boy, taking a seat beside him with a few feet left between. Now that she was closer, Hermes seemed more inclined to give Astra the time of day, and left his plotting for a moment to purr sweetly up at her, rubbing her legs. No sooner had he come than he was bounding back over to his pal, right before she could snatch him up. A sigh. "That one's mine. His name is Hermes. He's the worst." The fondness in her gaze was undeniable, even if mixed with exasperation.

A second glance to the boy. "You're a duellist, right?" He looked familiar, associated with the duelling club, but her focus had been too much on her cousins or Mahlioz to pay attention.

Claire was teetering between feeling offended that @Aamon Athanatos had only kissed her head with a kiss that had felt either condescending or belittling - she didn't know which - and feeling relieved that she hadn't given up her first kiss at a party game that they were all far too young to be playing. His comment about kissing the cat didn't make things much better in her mind, and, if he hadn't been clearly intoxicated, she might've been angrier than she was.

Instead of making a scene, or getting revenge of any sort, she leaned back to her spot in the circle, murmuring something under her breath that sounded like 'I'll show him a cat...' and sipping on more of Colin's flask's contents. It really wasn't so bad after the first few sips, and he wasn't wrong. There was definitely a taste of apple.

@Elisa Shakestra tore Claire from her blossoming foul mood, turning that annoyance into amusement as Claire watched the look of absolute disgust on her face when faced with her own kissing partner, @Prat Pass. Claire didn't care for heavy alcohol, since their livers were still very much developing, but seeing the girl choosing the shot of firewhiskey over the kiss was, Claire had to admit, kind of funny. She wondered if his mutilated face was the reason she'd been so adamant not to kiss him. He wasn't ugly, by any means, as far as Claire could tell. In fact, like most of the boys in Slytherin, he was quite handsome. Was being attractive a requirement for Slytherin?

A few more girls and a boy joined the room, a bit later than Claire had, and Claire had to wonder how in the heck they'd managed to keep this meeting under wraps from the faculty so far. She couldn't imagine any of the professors, even the more relaxed ones, would be all too pleased if they'd learned of what was transpiring, from the drinking to the kissing to the girls lingering in the boys' dorm.

Claire felt a surge of panic as she saw @Colin McCoire searching for his flask. She wasn't worried because she had the flask, but because it was significantly emptier than it had been when he'd offered it to her. A sip at a time sure did add up, that was for sure. Thankfully he didn't seem too bothered by his lack of a flask, so Claire turned it up and drained a big portion of the last bit. Really, it was hard to even tell it was alcoholic. The taste of apples balanced quite well in it.

The bottle thankfully avoided Claire in the next few spins, but she'd be lying if she said she wasn't a bit offended that forehead-kiss-boy - Aamon, that is - had been perfectly happy kissing cat-decoy-girl - @Nabi Park - but not her, but kisses were complicated like that. Sometimes, you just really want to kiss someone but not someone else. It was basic loveology, she supposed.

Case in point, one of the new arrivals - @Mellani Miller turned down a kiss from a perfectly pretty girl, opting for the firewhiskey instead. Claire, personally, wouldn't have turned it down - or so she told herself, as an outside viewer instead of one of the kissers - but different people had loads of different preferences, she supposed.

She took another sip from Colin's flask, realizing that the warmth in her chest from the drink was making her feel very contemplative. It was almost nice, she thought, shaking the flask a bit in her hand to hear the liquid slosh around. She giggled softly, staring at the container and returned her attention to the game.

Her full attention was divided between the meetings of felines and the antics of the bottle's victims.

Aamon had kissed Nabi. It was brief, chaste even. Nothing like whatever Colin was doing to that girl with a limited sense of self-respect. It was like he was a sloppy dementor sucking out her very soul.

It was not like he had expected. People write about kissing, have full-on lectures about it, and really it was pressing lips together. Not that it was bad. It was just a kiss if that made any sense. It was hardly life-changing, earth shattering or world altering. He was a bit relieved at this revelation. A kiss was just a kiss, nothing to get twisted over.

Only, Aamon had not thought this through.

Like, at all.

While a kiss was a kiss, the girl in loud pajamas was apparently mad. Not that Aamon had any idea. Why would he? It is not like she went in to kiss him. Women. Can't understand them. can't have a heterosexual kiss without them.

Excuses would come filtering in.

The bottle made him do it.

He was drugged or was drunk, apparently cider had a hallucinogenic effect (thanks Matt).

Nabi's face was in his lips way.

Because—Nabi was definitely not a cat.

When Aamon pulled back, he was grinning like the world’s most oblivious idiot. The first year felt bizarrely victorious. As if he had just successfully completed some kind of side quest without fully understanding what quest he had embarked upon.

And then Nabi spoke.

"Y-you... kissed me..."

Aamon blinked at her.

Oh no.

Oh no no no.

Was she…? Was she mad about it? Was she shocked? Did he do it wrong? Should he have aimed for Prat?

His mind raced at a million miles an hour, desperately trying to piece together the right reaction. His anxiety overwhelming that brief moment of confidence and victory.

His lips parted slightly—he thought about apologizing.

Aamon let out a small, nervous laugh, rubbing the back of his neck. “…I mean,” he said, his voice a little too bright, his grin still plastered across his face, “Yeah! I—I did!”

His brain sputtered for a second, trying to figure out what else to say.

And then, before he could stop himself—

“Lady…" he was referring to Clair. he did not know her name but he knew her gender. "Should I try again?” He probably should have phrased that a bit more gracefully but he did not even know her name. His newfound confidence would likely be brief and potentially fatal. He did not know that Nabi's dark little heart had just started to beat. That he was about to break it just a little with his thoughtless question.

While he did not put much weight on kissing now that he had some idea what it was, these ladies certainly did.

And this would be why Aamon had to die.

Nabi was still looking at him, her mind trying to process what had just happened fully.

Aamon had kissed her. She knew that much.

But why could she not move? Why did her face feel warm? Her heart's rhythm was different; it was as if she had been running— as if she had been playing in her family's labyrinth of a garden.

Only she was not there, she was in the boys' dormitories.

And this boy had stolen her first kiss.

She should have been mad—furious even—but why had she not reacted in such a manner? He was still smiling, the paranoid and anxious boy replaced by an overly confident miniature version of the boy with white hair.

Her gray eyes never left his face as she watched him begin to register what he had just done, she could tell he was starting to spiral in his thoughts. But what could she say when she herself had no idea what to do?

"…I mean, Yeah! I—I did!"

A small smile began to form across her lips. Her curiosity made her want to know what he was thinking.

Until he spoke again.

Her smile disappeared, blinking twice, Nabi felt a lump in her throat.

What?

She took a step back, her jaw clenching. Men. or rather boys. Nabi's eyes narrowed slightly.

Why did she feel a sharp ache?

Drinking the whiskey wasn't the smartest of Elisa's choices as she started to feel slightly tipsy, of course, this was the first time she had drunk alcohol and she had indulged it by finishing nearly 90% of the cider flask and taking a shot of whiskey, one thing she knew was if she'd continue, she'd wake up the next day with a horrible headache, while she did fear such pain that could potentially ruin her day, at this moment all she cared of was to distract the thoughts.

The bottle had other plans as it landed once more on Elisa and another girl. Elisa recognized her from the quidditch team, she was a chaser if she was right, the girl instantly chose to drink the fire whiskey while in most cases Elisa would've been glad she didn't get kissed, this case she wasn't as the girl picked fire whiskey, so will she have to drink but suddenly she remembered an alternate option provided by Matthew, the truth or dare, Elisa spoke up "I'll do the truth or dare, I pick dare", Elisa chuckled at least she skipped the foul liquid this time.

The bottle spun again, and this time yet again the bottle landed on her and another guy, by this one thing Elisa who had previously finished a whole flask of cider in the meantime was sure that the bottle loathed her by picking her for the third time, it was as if the only presence the bottle kept on acknowledging was her, the girl next to her and the drunk boy while the rest of the people was partially visible to it, Elisa sighed, this time she had to kiss, there was no way she'd go for either of the alternate options, seeing that the boy was quite ready for the kiss though he looked shy, Elisa slowly leaned towards the boy to kiss him as their lips met, Elisa couldn't believe she was losing her first kiss to a kid but neither could she choose the firewhiskey.

MODERATION
The following moderation will have mentions of blood and death please take this as a trigger warning

While many in the group were busy kissing and dealing with the wild effects of hormones another darker thread was weaving itself through the group that had consumed the strange floral scented cider. As a collection of hallucinations began to run rampant through the minds of some of the players distracting them from their current course and adding in a hint of madness to the chaos:

Closing his eyes in patient waiting for Elisa's decision that would result in the boys first kiss, his mind floating above him dazed and confused, @Saunder Napier would begin to hear the rich baritone silk of Serge Gainsbourg singing 'La chanson de Prévert' one of his favourite tunes. Upon opening his eyes he would be surprised to see a visage of his absent-minded father Elijah pacing through the dorm room with a far off look mumbling under his breath incoherently from this distance. The well groomed man was as clear as day and unsurprisingly seemed to be avoiding eye contact with the child, rendering Saunders invisible as he so often felt. [Saunders starts hallucinating his father but unable to hear him over the hallucinatory music]

As @Elisa Shakestra closed her eyes she would hear the chastising words of her father from the letter she had received just a few months before everything happened. His commanding voice was rigid yet caring but already beginning to fray at the edges, he didn't quite sound like himself, his voice a mimicry from memory just slightly skewed of truth, "I've been recently wondering about the company you hold near you. While I trust you enough to know that you wouldn't keep bad influences or failures near you. As your father, I'd like to remind you again that it would be prudent for you to keep an eye on the people around you and try not to interact with either those who don't share the pureblood beliefs or the outcasts themselves." Throwing herself backwards from the boy she tripped as she found her eyes frantically searching the room around her for the source only to be met with confused stares from the soberer cohort. Silence was all that met her desperate search until once again more words filled the room bodiless but clear as day, "While I do not wish to nag you anymore, I'd like to remind you that mischiefs and adventures might seem fun but they are just distractions that would do no good to your future." Despite knowing with every pang of her heart he couldn't possibly be here she could hear him and it broke her heart, anger towards her mother boiling beneath the surface for her secrecy. When the voice faded she took a sigh of relief but also a hollow emptiness creep in, hadn't she wished to hear him one more time so many times over winter? Now he was gone once again robbed by an explosion, a moronic accident and to think he was telling her to avoid mischief and adventures when it had robbed her of a father. As the thought derailed her mind into a spiral she was momentarily deafened when a piercing explosion ruptured in her eardrums. Bracing herself she dove to the ground but where she had expected debris and pain she found only quiet. Opening her eyes people had begun to stare and yet the room was entirely intact, no explosion, no father, just hurt. [Elisa begins to hallucinate her father's voice and then an explosion similar to that which took him from her]

Kissing the girl who had such history with him bubbled butterflies in @Colin McCoire's stomach and summoned a rush of euphoria to his mind stimulating his brain to an unexpected effect. Spinning the bottle once again he found the speed to be almost hypnotic causing his mind to spin with it in a dizzy spiral that had him reaching backwards to his bed post to steady himself. Just as he did he felt the cool rush of shadows claw at his hand. Turning rapidly he watched as the once bright room began to dim and shadows born from his nightmares began to fill the room circling him like predators ready to strike. Colin felt his heartbeat begin to race to match his spiralling thoughts as the creatures of shade and dark twisted sharply into vivid monstrosities before his eyes snarling. Colour draining from his face Colin knew these creatures all too well for they plagued his sleep often, he knew the pain of their touch and unnatural coldness they possessed but this time he was clearly awake. It was impossible he reasoned, it must be the alcohol but he had felt the chill run through his veins where his hand had been touched. No they were very much real and if he didn't act quickly they tear him to pieces like they had so many times in the horrors of sleep. [Colin begins to see shadow creatures from his nightmares circle the edges of the room]

@Ava Winchect was not known for her timid nature, no she grabbed what she wanted by the hand and often acted without reason or thought. When she had pulled Colin in she wasn't sure how it would go but as he kissed back her heart warmed with the familiar boy's agreement. They had a complicated history but here they could simply be kids in a game. Floating above herself she sat in the circle watching as the game continued her heart lighter she leaned back taking in the chaos of the event, with cat claws, head kisses and firewhiskey pouring she found herself pleased that she had come, it had been far too long since she had engaged in simple harmony and she didn't realise how much she needed it. But this was Hogwarts and there was always problems ready to arise, raising her hand to take another swig of the cider her entire body froze in sheer panic at the sight of her hand. The red crimson stains that lathered over them was instantly recognisable, dropping the flask it smashed below her drawing her attention to the floor where a familiar silver knife now covered in blood. A reminder of an act she had nearly committed what felt like a lifetime ago. [Ava hallucinates herself with blood stained hands and the silver knife she threatened to stab Lucian with]

Having been viciously attacked by the wonderful furball Zeno @Prat Pass had been sobered slightly from the sharp pain allowing the vision of his grandfather to fade away into the smoky haze of the room. The relief of both not having kissed the young Ms Park as well as having that presence banished was enough to make him accept the cat's fury with grace. Unfortunately acceptance didn't do anything for the stinging pain and so taking his flask again he took another sip leaving the flask almost entirely empty, had he really drunk that much? Despite the question existing only in his own head his grandfather showed his stubborn determination by rematerializing to answer him, "Yes, look what you've allowed yourself to become. It seems we can't rely on you for your intellect or even your looks now. This is what you get for lowering yourself to such miscreants and blood traitors. You think you know so much about the world but you are only a naive little boy playing for a position you are unworthy of. The great fall of the Prat name." The stern words cut deep and Prat found himself rising with indignation and anger. While the words were certainly true to his grandfather the issue was generational, change was inevitable whether the past wanted to accept it or not. Boldened by the alcohol's inebriation and the euphoric flutters of his mind he found himself disagreeing with the man, he would be a great heir and lead their family into a new generation that rose even higher than even before. Prat was sure of it deep down but standing up to his grandfather took a courage he would have to discover if he possessed. [Prat continues to experience visions of his grandfather]

Unlike the rest of the group who were battling with demons @Claire Lewis's hallucinations were far more vibrant. Colours began to appear brighter as whisps of light floated through the air dancing in the light. It was like she could see the very threads of magic weaving between them and illuminating each person with a unique combination of colours specific to them. Claire's own light was shockingly a vibrant pink, contrasting greatly against the rejection of typical femininity she had developed with the lack of a maternal influence. It confused her but somehow still filled her with a warm feeling in her heart. Looking over towards Colin she saw her own threads begin to reach for his timidly bringing a slight blush to her cheeks. She needed a distraction so when Aamon broke her concentration bringing her focus back to him it was a perfect excuse to ignore whatever that had meant. [Claire hallucinates bright colours of magic weaving themself between people and her own reaching out to Colin]

While @Aamon Athanatos' hallucinations were dwindling his stomach began to curl. Spurred by the nervous energy that had been bubbling in his stomach from his kisses and the reprimanding words of his father. The alcohol sloshing about with no food to settle it he was beginning to feel quit nauseous, but he couldn't throw up. If the embarrassment wouldn't be painful enough the anxiety would certainly kill him. After all what if the girls thought that he had thrown up because of their kiss, or he got a reputation for the act, they'd start calling him names like Pukey or Vomit Boy no he mustn't. Resisting any urge to spew he would have to find a way to settle his stomach and quick or he was going to be even more of an Athanatos disappointment. Merlin forbid Gideon find out about this. Matthew was to blame for this, if he hadn't poisoned him this wouldn't be happening and he could continue kissing. Blame was always a better distraction than self reflection and decidedly easier. [Aamon begins to feel sick, resisting it he needs a solution]

On the far less intense side of the evening @Remedy Norden struck up a conversation with the recently joined @Atlas Anderson her ex quidditch teammate welcoming him to the group and taking two ciders blissfully unaware of the unintended consequences she would be imparting on them were the to drink. How would there evening shape up and how would they react to the chaos that was surely about to burst into the room.

On the opposite side the two ex wallflowers @Archer Duncan and @Astra Norrick also found comfort in starting a conversation avoiding the riotous game that Archer had immediately been victimised by. With the fiery burn still in his stomach from the endured shot he felt himself ease slightly into the evening with the assistance of the alcohol and presence of the other girl. While the two spoke their cats Hermes and Zeno would quite suddenly and agitatedly pounce from their positions of comfort led by the dark haired Gribo towards the far side of the room each feline sniffing the air as they walked as if searching for something. The feline mafia seemed skittish about whatever it was they were trailing and began to meow low growling hisses as they went about their business.

Another student @Mellani Miller had avoided the dreaded amber liquid in favour of the far more potent firewhisky though she couldn't quite say it was by choice as the bottle had done the majority of decision making so far. Deciding not to participate was a noble choice but one not particularly appreciated by her spun partner Elisa who had rejected the stuff adamantly after the original one she forced down in favour of a dare instead.

That only left one Ms @Nabi Park who had just gone through a short whirlwind of feelings. Having just taken her first kiss with Aamon she had warmed with the soft glow of the impactful moment only to have it stolen straight away with the boys stupidity. Truly thee young snake had proven to her just how idiotic boys were and now she sat stony once more wishing that those senior boys had done what they promised and burned the place to the ground. Perhaps she should take the suggestion up herself, after all 'hell hath no fury like a woman scorned'.

The buzzing in Aamon’s mind had finally begun to settle, the phantom echoes of his father’s voice fading into the background. No more sharp reminders of his shortcomings, no more weighty proclamations of disappointment—it was just him now, floating in the warm haze of cider-induced confusion. The room still swayed around him in slow, syrupy waves, but at least the haunting reprimands had dulled.

Briefly Aamon basked in what he foolishly assumed was a victory—a milestone in masculinity, a testament to his ever-growing charm. He had kissed a girl. He had survived it. That had to mean something, right? But the glow of triumph was short-lived, soon taken over by an ominous churning deep in his gut. Not pain, exactly—just an unsettling, roiling discomfort, like he’d swallowed a barrel of bad fish.

His contorted into a grimace as his hand hovered instinctively over his stomach, as if some desperate attempt at self-healing could ward off whatever this was. A shock of panic jolted through him. Bad. This was bad.

He could not—would not—get sick. Not here. Not in front of the girls. That would be a disaster. They’d think he was gross. The guys would think he couldn’t hold his liquor. He couldn’t, but they didn’t need to know that. He was doing such an admirable job of appearing functional in this den of depravity, and it would all be for nothing if he lost control now.

His stomach lurched violently, and Aamon clenched his jaw shut, swallowing rapidly to suppress the burn clawing its way up his throat. Resist. Resist. Aamon was at war with biology, his body staging a rebellion he was determined to crush.

What he didn’t know—what he couldn’t—was that this was so much more than a betrayal of inexperience. He was right to be suspicious of the offered drink. It wasn’t just cider. He had been poisoned, too. That this evening would have went better if he was not only sober but undrugged. While Matthew Campbell was more to blame than the young Athanatos knew, if he had not been given the adult cider in the first place. If Matthew had not started the Slytherin on a life of crime, this would never have happened.

This was Matthew Campbell’s fault.
