It would have been a better day for Damion if he was watching his boyfriend, Hades duel and would have been cheering him along. But oh well being the Co-Captain of his house, he had duties. No matter how much he wished that he was watching his boyfriend's match, he had to be here to moderate a match at the same time. Without thinking much about what he was missing, Damion thought of concentrating on the work in hand. With a smile on his face, he walked in the middle of the Stage. "Today's match is between the Gryffindors and Hufflepuff. Let me introduce the teams." He said. Pointing in one direction he said "On one side we have Galton Lansdale, Meenauh Silmataurea, Evelynn Decipio from Gryffindor house and on the other side we have Lindsey Springhall, Lea Hirsch, Haven Bohannon from Hufflepuff house." He said.
He was happy that he was the co captain of Ravenclaw's Dueling Team. He was very much interested in being a part of the Dueling team and helping his house win whenever he dueled. But right now, he was moderating a duel. "Duellers get your wands ready!" He said looking at them. "Start" He added with a smile as he walked away from the dueling area so he wouldn't get hit.

Gryffindor vs Hufflepuff: Match 2
She was looking forward to the next duel. Especially after her phenomenal defeat of the first duel of the year, when she fainted from crackers, while holding her perfect shieldy protection.
This time they had to make a comeback, especially in their last year with Galton. But she watched duels against higher years when they went completely and unexpectedly into failures.
Not this time!

Gryffindor vs Hufflepuff: Match 2
Galton wanted nothing more than to memories the last duel behind him. Had his abyssal performance been the worst part? Or Slytherin's dominating display of raw power? It would be easy to claim the opponents had just had a good day, but really he felt it was more on his under-delivery. But today was a new day. A new duel. New opponents. He could not let old thoughts cloud the piste like a fumos.
He would climb the piste with his head held high. Galton the Glorious, Meenauh the Mighty and Evelynn the Exceptional were ready to take back their pride! He would great his teammates with a smile. "Alright, let's not repeat last time, eh?" He'd say to them in a light tone as he readied his wand.

Gryffindor vs Hufflepuff: Match 2
After her potion-induced euphoria, Haven had somehow convinced herself that she would, in fact, sign up for duelling to help Lea out, and willingly this time. Come duel time though, she did still need to be bribed with some cake, which got her out of bed and rushing to the duelling club. She'd do anything for cake, apparently, and it stopped her from crying (that potion had her all sorts of messed up).
Haven was absolutely sure this time that she had her wand, staring at it in her hand the entire walk up to the piste, ensuring it didn't spontaneously disappear on her. Maybe she needed to invest in like a Wii strap or something for it. Yeah, that would do it. Hey, perhaps then, they could figure out how to play Mario Kart in Hogwarts. Yeah... that sounded like a great idea.
She looked up for a moment, having completely forgetten where she was, a bit shocked to see people in front of her, pointing their wands at her. "Oh right..." she said to herself, before offering the Gryffindors a wave. "Hi!" she yelled across the room. "I'm not sharing my cake!" She had to make sure they knew that. Even if she had her guts canoodled around the room or something during this, she wasn't letting them anywhere near that cake. Haven would go down defending it. "Also, good luck!"

Gryffindor vs Hufflepuff: Match 2
Haven- had been acting weird. However, this voluntary joining dueling did help Lea out even if some bribery still was required. At least Lindsey had seemed normal last she checked in on the other duellist. It was nice having the same group as last time though, more accustomed to their strategy and strengths- however this Gryffindor team was looking particularly intimidating. Hopefully strategy and some luck would grant a good duel for the Hufflepuffs, Lea nodding in acknowledgement to the others as a sign of readying for the duel.

She’d bit her lips as Lindsey stepped onto the duelling stage, inhaling deeply. The potion that she naïvely drank because she thought she possessed above-average metabolism had caused her much distress the last few days, and seeing the names of their opponents this stage didn’t help much to ease the stress. Thankfully, one, she had learned to collect herself and be composed before duels after all these years; two, at least she wasn’t facing Ravenclaws again; and three, she’d have Lea and Haven again by her side. Lindsey nodded at her partners, and upon hearing Haven’s yell at their opponents (good point, why share cakes with your rivals?), she smiled a little, positioning herself.

| xxx | 𝓣he second match of the year was upon them, but Evelynn's approach on this occasion held a great deal less levity than the one prior. Prideful by nature, the lioness was slow to forgive, and she certainly didn't forget. Her team had been soundly beaten, and while she had once again remained standing, her own presence in the match hardly seeming to make an impact one way or another. It was a familiar position for her, but one that was far from comfortable. Weeks and months and years could pass with her hard at work to develop her skills and magical prowess, yet when the moment called for it, it never seemed to matter. She couldn't breathe life back into the dead; she couldn't stop Finn from running off into the forest; and she couldn't even seem to secure victory in a duelling match. Within the shroud of confidence that cloaked her form as she climbed to her position on the piste, fear of inadequacy gnawed at her insecurities. Not even the presence of one @Haven Bohannon--whom Evelynn knew only too well for her penchant for losing her wand in storms of bubbles and an incomprehensible inclination to torture tentmates with painting every visible surface a putrid yellow--managed to incite any level of levity. If anything, it only served to fuel the gravity of the situation. If she couldn't even manage to defeat the cerebrally questionnable badger, any claim to magical mastery would likely go the way of her quidditch career. Knuckles whitened under the tension of her grip, eyes darting to @Meenauh Silmataurea and @Galton Lansdale to gauge their readiness and perhaps try to siphon some calm for herself. "Ready?" They really needed a win. |

Everything happened so quickly that Damion was a little shocked. Firstly the young Lea cast the Aqua Eructo at Galton which he evaded. Though that was not the end of things yet. Galton then targeted both Lea and Lindsey. Lindsey was lucky to have evaded the Cracker jinx however Lea was not that lucky. Lea was not only hit by the Cracker Jinx by Galton but also by the Trip Jinx by Meenauh moreover by an Impaired hit of Confringo by Evelynn. Haven cast the Metelojinx at the Gryffindors leading to a rain cloud over them. Last but not the least, Lindsey failed to cast the spell on Evelynn and ended up casting it at her own teammate, Haven.
Damion glanced at the Duelist to make sure none of them needed immediate help, and when he was sure he took deep sigh of relief and waited to see what would happen next. This match was getting interesting. He couldn't wait to see what happened next.

Gryffindor vs Hufflepuff: Match 2
A better start than the previous duel. Of course, the missed spells helped quite a lot, but that was part of the game. They needed to win, and it would be good if they could win it as fast as possible. She nodded to both Evelynn and Galton as if noting which part of their strategy to try using next.
