A SMALL SPARK
It was a safe bet that such a charming and studious woman would not fail to catch the eye of a handsome young man. Indeed, even though he was in his sixth year at Gryffindor, Jack O'Byrne had not been able to take his eyes off this young pupil: Elisabeth O'Connor.
The two young people had already crossed paths because their respective families liked each other. But until now, Jack had always considered Elisabeth to be just a girl. Being 3 years older than her, Jack did not have the same interests as Elisabeth. Then he had to go to Hogwarts and they never saw each other again. When their families came to visit, either Jack was missing, or Elisabeth, or both, were conspicuous by their absence.
That was why Jack hadn't been able to take his eyes off Elisabeth, in her third year at Ravenclaw. She was no longer the young girl who liked to play and run in the garden. She had changed and her beauty made her a ravishing young woman. He stood a few metres away from her and didn't move, so one of Jack's friends pushed him and laughed at him. Jack couldn't blame them because he had never shown any sign of interest in a girl until that moment. He was so preoccupied with his dream of becoming a doctor.
It was only after two weeks of watching and looking that Jack had the courage to finally speak to Elizabeth after so many years. Stunned at first, the young girl really appreciated this exchange. And so it was that they became close and fast friends. They came to each other's family gatherings and were always happy to be in each other's company. Their friendship was more than obvious to Elisabeth and Jack. Even at Hogwarts, they enjoyed spending time together.
1996 - FIRST MEET

A FLAME OF LOVE
The complicity and chemistry that grew out of Jack and Elisabeth's friendship was not lost on their families. So much so that the O'Connors and the O'Byrnes were keen to play matchmaker when Jack began his studies. They organised dinners and outings so often that finally, after so much effort, Jack and Elizabeth began to develop feelings for each other.
However, the young girl, in her fifth year, was afraid to start a long-distance relationship. She didn't feel ready to commit herself to a relationship that might cause her pain. But Jack was patient and understanding. He didn't want to force her, and that was what pleased the young woman. Finally, they officially became a couple before Elisabeth's sixth year at Hogwarts. And, contrary to the doubts of the Serdigle, their relationship had turned out to be passionate despite the distance that separated them. And their families couldn't help celebrating their victory. No one had been happier than to see such a united and beautiful couple.
And no one was surprised when, on 14 February 2002, Jack proposed, 3 days before his 20th birthday. Of course, the couple didn't want to rush the wedding, preferring to wait until after their studies. They had therefore set the date for the following year, but the few months of engagement were just as passionate as the beginning of their relationship.
The wedding was celebrated with great joy on 23 June 2003. And nobody was happier than the newlyweds. They had promised each other respect, love and fidelity for the rest of their lives, and that was exactly what they intended to do.
For their wedding, Elisabeth and Jack had decided to play a duet to declare their love through music. Jack on piano and Elisabeth on violin, the happy couple played such a beautiful waltz that soon the dance floor was filled with the promise of eternal love.
JUNE 2003 - BEFORE THE WEDDING

A FIRE OF ETERNAL LOVE
Jack and Elizabeth lived in harmony and happiness. After a honeymoon as passionate as their love, they moved to Glasgow, close to the ocean. Both Irish by birth, they had never planned to leave their native Ireland. They wanted to make a home for themselves and their family, and so, with the help of their family, the young O'Byrne couple built their large family home. They spent many happy years travelling and building up their business before welcoming their first child on 21 May 2006: Oliver Jack O'Byrne. Jack had never been so proud of his wife as he was at that moment. He had a son and he was becoming a father.
Oliver was the spitting image of his mother, but he had a lot in common with his father. Charming but reserved, Oliver filled the house with noise. He was clever and cunning but bored stiff with no one to learn from or play with. So he was delighted when he became a big brother at the age of 4. Because yes, on 05 December 2010, Jack and Elisabeth welcomed their second son: Luke James O'Byrne.
Despite the joy of fathering two beautiful boys, Jack couldn't help wishing for a daughter. Luke was becoming a clever little boy every day and Oliver loved playing with him. It was also at this time that Elizabeth hired a certain Ryan Boyle as the family tutor. Oliver spent a lot of time playing with his little brother and working with the wizard, Mr Boyle. The little family slowly began to grow, much to their parent's delight.

A LITTLE WONDER
At dawn on 16 May 2013, before the first rays of sunlight appeared on the horizon, a little girl was born into the O'Byrne family : Kathleen Elisabeth O'Byrne, in honour of Jack's grandmother. The newborn gave a little cry before flashing her very first smile at her parents. Jack was delighted to welcome a daughter into the family. When Oliver and Luke were allowed to meet their little sister, the joy on their faces was palpable. Seeing this little being smiling and seeming to laugh gave the boys an intense feeling of happiness. Without knowing it, from the moment she was born, Kathleen was already the embodiment of sweetness.
Soon, the cries and joy in the house intensified with Kathleen's arrival. The little girl grew up surrounded by the fights and noisy games of her older brothers, without necessarily understanding their motivations. She watched them do it with chirps and light claps of the hands. And sometimes, Oliver and Luke would stop in their tracks to pamper Kathleen. And Jack and Elizabeth smiled, happy to see their home filled with as much joy and love as when they first married.
However, when Kathleen reached the age of 2, Elisabeth felt that someone was missing. She was fulfilled by her three wonderful children, but she felt that the family was incomplete; that the house was not completely full. Oliver, then aged 9, was continuing to perfect his cello skills, the instrument he had started playing at the age of 5, while Luke was beginning to learn the oboe. The house was beginning to resonate more and more, but it wasn't at its happiest. Oliver, Luke and Kathleen were happy, but they were also subconsciously longing for a little brother or sister. And so, months later, it wasn't long before the family witnessed an astonishing upheaval that left the O'Byrne family overjoyed...
18 MAY 2015 - BEFORE THE NEW BIRTH

A SWEET WONDER
On 22 August 2016, Elisabeth gave birth to a baby boy: Matthew Alexander O'Byrne. Jack was overjoyed when his wife's cry rang out over that of the newborn. Indeed, Matthew was not alone; his twin brother came out 7 minutes later, much to the astonishment of the parents. This little newborn who, when he came out, screamed until he calmed down when he was placed next to his brother. He was named Michael William O'Byrne. Real little angels when they were together and real little devils when they were apart. And, of course, they were soon introduced to their big brothers and sister. Kathleen, who was 3 at the time, was stunned by the little creatures in front of her. Her father stroked her head and said : « You're the only girl in the family now. »
The fact that she was the only girl in the family was not a big problem for Kathleen. Although she never played her big brothers' games and was soon joined by her little brothers, the little girl enjoyed the joys of solitude and nourished her spirit. She soon learned to read and write, which enabled her to transcribe all her thoughts and excesses of imagination. She was the epitome of gentleness, while her brothers were the epitome of cunning and mischief.
But it wasn't long before Oliver entered Hogwarts and Luke began to play his tricks on Kathleen, who from then on learned to be more assertive.
She began learning to play the flute and to ride horses. It was at times like these that she could feel free and detach herself from the evil tricks played on her by her brothers.
Luke soon began to show his first signs of magic and took the opportunity to reassure his sister, who was hoping to have some of his own. Matthew and Michael, for their part, were growing at a rapid rate and were still stuffed together. Jack and Elisabeth were delighted with their magnificent offspring, who were the joy of their own parents. Kathleen and Luke spent a lot of time together learning about the wizarding world from their tutor, Mr Boyle. Straightforward and strict, Kathleen didn't dare disobey him and from time to time he would crack a joke. Kathleen liked him because, despite his strictness, she liked the way he taught her.
01 SEPTEMBER 2019 - SOLITARY MOMENTS

THE BLOSSOMING OF A WONDER
Kathleen discovered her magical particularity at the age of 7. She worked alongside her older brother, Luke, who was 10. Mr Boyle had given the children a job and was deep in reading a book. That's when Kathleen spotted a spider in the room. She screamed, Luke looked in his sister's direction and before he could do anything, the little beast flew across the room and out through the open French window. Mr Boyle then approached the little girl and said to her as if nothing had happened : « Congratulations, young lady ! Your parents are going to be very proud when they find out you're a witch. »
Kathleen remained in a state of fear and joy as Luke happily patted his little sister on the shoulder. It had happened, that was all. Jack and Elizabeth were very happy for her and soon informed their eldest son, Oliver, who was in his fourth year at Gryffindor (just like his father).
With Matthew and Michael demanding more attention, Elisabeth began to work at home and so when Luke entered Hogwarts the following year, Kathleen became closer to her mother. They spent many evenings together talking, and a great bond was born between mother and daughter. Jack, as busy as his work as a medical wizard demanded of him, tried to spend as much time as possible with his family.And the house was filled with more music when Matthew decided to take up the harp and Mickael the guitar. The house was filled with gaiety and joie de vivre.
Kathleen had kept up a regular correspondence with Oliver. They wrote to each other a lot, but she was very upset when he stopped writing altogether. It was the day before her tenth birthday. And she was even more hurt when he returned for the summer holidays with a pretty young woman who was the same age as her older brother. It was a heartbreaking moment for Kathleen, who felt betrayed. Not that she hated her brother's girlfriend, Harmony, but she felt that Harmony had replaced him. So, leaving her older brother to live his own life, Kathleen withdrew from him and immersed herself body and soul in writing.
She began a writing project dedicated to Oliver, in which she transcribed her pain, her betrayal and her feelings of abandonment. She needed to feel satiated and she could only do that through writing. Luke, however, consoled her and so, in her last year before joining Hogwarts, Kathleen wrote to her older brother. Nor did she fail to read all these letters to her younger brothers, who longed to be able to go to the school they had heard so much about.

Relationship with Kathleen : Kathleen is Jack's precious pearl. They have a special father-daughter relationship that no one can understand. They are very close, but they also have arguments from time to time.

Relationship with Kathleen : Kathleen finds great comfort in her mother. She can tell her all her little secrets and enjoys spending time with her. Whether it's reading or making music together, Kathleen feels very close to Elisabeth.

Relationship with Kathleen : Oliver is Kathleen's guardian angel. Very protective of his little sister, he has always paid attention to her and her needs throughout her time at Hogwarts. However, over the past year, Kathleen has felt betrayed by Oliver, who has stopped writing to her, as if he is drifting away from her.

Relationship with Kathleen : Kathleen is Luke's favourite target for jokes. The girl, although known for her sweetness, loses her temper with Luke. However, Luke has always been there for his little sister to comfort her.

Relationship with Kathleen : Matthew is Kathleen's little darling. They understand each other because of their similar characters. The little boy never hesitates to come to his big sister for advice.

Relationship with Kathleen : Mickael is always in Kathleen's way, either to annoy her or to make her laugh. Together, they love running in the garden or on the beach. He's the one Kathleen plays sport with or has an adventure with.
PATERNAL FAMILY

Relationship with Kathleen : Kathleen gets on very well with her grandfather. She has learnt from him to be fair and to apply the rules. Alexander always has a little treat for Kathleen.

Relationship with Kathleen : Kathleen has a great deal of admiration for her grandmother. Despite their age difference, they are very much alike. Kathleen spends hours at the stove learning to cook with Abigaïl.

Relationship with Kathleen : Clive and Kathleen are not very close, but there's nothing to stop them getting on well together.

Relationship with Kathleen : Kelly and Kathleen have always got on well together. Kelly sees her niece as her daughter because of their similar ways.

Relationship with Kathleen : Kathleen takes a lot of inspiration from her aunt. She wishes she had the same zest for life, the same joie de vivre. Together, they love to laugh and travel.

Relationship with Kathleen : Kathleen and Ernest get on famously. Both passionate about literature, they spend hours inventing all sorts of stories from an imaginary world that belongs to them alone.

Relationship with Kathleen : Harmony is the little sister Kathleen has always dreamed of having. They have a strong bond.
MATERNAL FAMILY

Relationship with Kathleen : James is the grandfather every child would love to have. Kathleen loves him dearly, although James thinks she is too closed up and not open enough.

Relationship with Kathleen : Kathleen and her grandmother are like the moon and the stars. Together, they complement each other in so many ways. Despite her grandmother's sternness, Kathleen never ceases to admire her.

Relationship with Kathleen : Kathleen has never understood why her uncle is so ambitious. Although she finds him kind, she has never been able to trust him completely.

Relationship with Kathleen : Kathleen and Violet are very different people. The little girl has never felt comfortable with her aunt and Violet has never done anything to change that.

Relationship with Kathleen : Isabella never paid any attention to Kathleen. It was as if she had never existed in her eyes.

Relationship with Kathleen : How can you not love two such adorable people as Jane and Jason? They're the same age as Kathleen, and together they form an inseparable trio. They are very close and Kathleen loves to confide in them without fear.

Relationship with Kathleen : Kathleen sees Erin as an independent woman who has gone through painful times to live on her own. Although she has never said anything about it, Erin likes to teach Kathleen the importance of not depending on anyone but yourself.

Relationship with Kathleen : Kathleen and Laelynn don't need words to understand each other. They have the same points of view, the same opinions and consider themselves soul mates. Together, they are one.
