Beating the Odds
After laughing in shared disdain with Ulysses over the silly, not-so great decision to make the game right after Slytherin's interesting evening the night before. Some of the laughter was admittedly not disdainful. His sunglasses made him look even more his age. She had the same sentiment towards Prat and his sunglasses — an out of place, 'aw, haha' thought that was quickly stifled. At least Elisa had not seemed so exhausted; Koko had returned her polite greeting with a small smile.
Koko was more than glad to see Ira as well, and the tiredness momentarily left her eyes as she returned the younger girl's grin, offering a small, quick wave. She wished she could have said something more, perhaps offered a word of encouragement, but she had to prepare to be a referee, and Ira had to go be with her team. At least seeing the Hufflepuff be confident in the air would be enough for Koko.
The Quaffle
Koko couldn't remember the last time she'd seen a Finbourgh Flick, let alone one executed properly. She was rather impressed with Jan's score; he'd been poised and ready to hit the Quaffle into the goals with superb accuracy. However, his excelled manoeuvre could not save him from Maisie's technique. Although her first block attempt had been rather sloppy, if Koko were to judge, her second one was phenomenal. If the girl could just stick to that, Koko would have to see if there could be a way for a Ravenclaw to play Keeper for Slytherin.
It wasn't Jan's fault that he did not score again. Louisa had rather impressive accuracy and strength as she grappled for the Quaffle, ultimately scoring 30 points for her team.
Koko had expected for Piérre to find the Snitch much faster. She'd only really met him once, but even then he had seemed, well, observant, at the very least. But he had no such luck today. Ira, too, fared similarly, although Koko was simply proud to see the younger girl flying. If it wouldn't have perhaps been rude to the other players, she would have cheered for the Hufflepuff.
Since her encounter with @Oonagh Brown, Koko had had a healthy disdain for bludgers, but she was actually quite pleased to be able to sit back and watch them do their damage. The only issue was that now, it had not been years since she had been on the receiving end of one, and she actually found it even easier to empathise with those the bludgers chased after.
However, these kids were able to dodge like crazy. As she squinted up at the pitch, now envious of Prat and Ulysses for their use of sunglasses as the slight ache behind her eyes returned, she also gained a healthy amount of jealousy for that Keeper from earlier, Maisie, because what the heck, that was not fair. That was a close one. She needed to share that luck, or skill, whatever it was, with the rest of the students at Hogwarts.
The next target, Prat's target, also dodged with ease. The kid moved so quickly that Koko had to lean forward and blink afterwards. Had she really just seen that, or was that the headache speaking? It wasn't long, though, before a rogue bludger was sent careening into the kid. Fortunately, Promise remained on her broom, but Koko's headache strengthened as she saw the impact the bludger had made. Ouch.
That same bludger was sent ricocheting at Ira, a move that made Koko think of Erin and wince in anticipation. However, Ira seemed to have masterful control of the broom; she evaded, and Koko had to fight to avoid clapping her hands. Ira was doing so well! Koko would have to tell her how proud she was of her later.
What was a Quidditch game without a little bit of cheating? Throughout the past year, Koko had become a bit more welcoming towards the idea of breaking the rules as a mean towards violent ends, so when she saw Ruth making a beeline for Tracey, a small, amused smile crossed her lips. This would be interesting.
Ruth's accuracy was on point, but Tracey had an iron grip on her broom and managed to stay on as Ruth eventually flew past. Koko raised an eyebrow, intrigued, before remembering she was supposed to blow the whistle and call a foul. Ugh, stupid referee duties, taking the fun out of everything.

Important Information
- This is an unofficial Quidditch game. Please refer to the Quidditch system here.
- House rules added below. These are only valid for this unofficial game and are not in use in any official games.
ReducioMechanics changes:
- The Snitch Find DC is average player wisdom + 15 + d10. Does not include broom stats.
- The Snitch Catch DC is average player wisdom + 15 + d10. Does not include broom stats.
- The Cheat DC is average player wisdom + 15 and only varies per team depending on abilities.
- Bludger ricochet damage is halved.
- A blatch that has a successful acc v eva check must then undergo a str vs sta check. If that is successful, the player is blatched.
- The snitch has a 10% chance, per round, to attack a random player on the field. If it does so, it will be attacking with +10 accuracy, and it will cause a -3 debuff to wisdom, evasion and accuracy.
- There is one rogue bludger that can attack all teams no matter if a bludger action is taken or not. Beaters have a 10% chance to intercept this if it attacks their team. Please note an interception target with Beater actions.
Action changes
- Beaters can attempt a Quaffle grab (and score) at disadvantage due to holding the bat.
- Passing a Quaffle requires an accuracy check between both Chasers involved. If a pass is successful, the receiving Chaser has +3 accuracy when attempting to score. Can be stacked with the Oakshaft/Firebolt ability.
- Beaters can have a bludger interception target.

The game started when Jan went to his proper position. He watched as the two Ravenclaw second years quarrelling to get the quaffle from the opposite team.
“C'mon,” he mumbled, not wanting to wait any longer to stay still. Three goals were already scored by the opposite team by the time his team managed to get the quaffle. Once @Elizabeth Stonewall shot it through the air, Jan surged forward to grab it.
It was a success.
He grinned at the sight of the quaffle on his hand and reactively tilted the broom, doing some feint as a deceiving tactic for the chasers, beaters, whoever was on his way, and with a single, blistering motion of wrist flickering, he smashed the quaffle through the left hoop.
Bam, 30-10! (Yay :DD)
Jan was quite glad to score at least a goal for his team, but the opponent team were still ahead of them. There is still more opportunities to score for more and perhaps big hope that no one in his team were knocked off from bludgers or blatching, after he witnessing one of his fellow teammates and housemates getting hit by a bludger. Ouch. He could tell how much it hurts from the way she winced.
“Guys, watch your zone,” Jan yelled as a reminder to his team. He then approached @Promise Gardener in a swift motion before getting back to his position. “Are you alright?” He asked Promise. “I need you to stay alive for our team, okay?”

There was a fanciful way that Jan lobbed the quaffle her way. And despite one ball that had gotten away from her, she was able to just knock this one way. Somehow, when it came to Quidditch, it was always when the stakes were highest that she managed to pull through.
That seemed especially true as Oliver's bludger pummelled fast in her direction. She'd been so busy trying to stop Jan's fancy pass and score attempt that she hadn't seen it coming until the last possible second as it entered her peripheral vision. As she felt her breath quicken, she gripped the Silver Arrow and ducked as low as she could go. Closing her eyes and bracing for impact, she heard the whizzing of the bludger fly past her ear. Somehow, every time that happened it felt no better. The physical injury of a bludger to the chest seemed somehow much more devastating than that of a rogue spell on the dueling piste; though perhaps that was only because she'd endure the latter and come out the other side.
She caught her breath quick enough to catch Louisa scoring three times—on Saunders Napier. Even though she hadn't made the shots herself, she could live vicariously through her Hufflepuff teammate. "Woo, well done, Louisa! Show him what you can do!" she cheered as the quaffle zoomed away from her in the hands of one of the chasers. Between the goals, her save and dodging the bludger, she believed, at least where Saunders was concerned, she was winning. And that interpersonal victory brought small smile to her face.
Meanwhile, Ruth knocked right into Tracey, but not enough to knock her from her broom. And Sabrina managed to snag a rogue bludger and slam it into one of the opposing beaters. "Good hit, Sabrina!" she encouraged her. Somewhere around here was Pierre, the oldest one amongst them. Hopefully, they could buy him some time. For now, it seemed like they just might.

𝕽uth's sole duty for the round was to blatch Tracey. If she could do it secretly, even better, but that wasn't possible at all. She took a glance at her target. Tracey seemed like a lovely person from a distance, but she couldn't possibly take any chances. Who knows, she might be the one who carried the team in the end-- though that didn't seem to be the case as of now. @Janosch Dehoff was quick, having been passed the quaffle and was immediately throwing it into the hoops. She winced as it went through, though a slight wave of pride washed over the Hufflepuff. Secretly, she was sitting on the fence. Perhaps if she wasn't in the opposite team, she would have cheered for him. In the meantime, she'll--
A rogue bludger came swerving towards her and Ruth dodged in the nick of time, surprised by the unexpected attack. She watched it swing off towards Sabrina, who lugged it at a Ravenclaw, Promise. Yow. That must hurt. Disappointingly, she wasn't knocked off, so Ruth made a charge towards Tracey, hoping she'd at least contribute to something. She braced for impact (while hoping for the best) but nope. Ruth jolted as a whistle pierced her ears and she sheepishly grinned at Koko.
Sigh. Maybe she would be of better help another time. In the meantime, they seemed to be doing just fine.

┏ ┓Promise had high hopes even from the beginning, after her team scored a couple points she was glad they weren't too behind. She needed to focus on taking out the players from the opposite team. Promise needed to be swinging around at a bludger for her team, but if she was to be honest, she didn't really want to throw someone of there broom since she herself had been thrown off once, and she would hate to give others a taste of what it felt like. Promise did know that helping her team to victory was her main goal, so hitting other players off there brooms was basically what needed to be done.
Promise had kept an eye out for approaching bludgers that she could take a swing at, except her train of thought was elsewhere. She should have had her head in the game, been a help to her team, but as soon as she saw one of the beaters from the other team hit a bludger, she saw the same bludger coming right at her. The bludger was inches away from her as soon as her brain finally realized what was happening, and the bludger smacked right into her. She heard a ringing in her ears but all she was trying to do was stay on her broom. She was no help to her team if she was thrown off her broom as soon as a bludger came her way. As the bludger made it's way to its next victim, did the pain really set in. The spot stung like crazy, and Promise felt like she had just been hit by a rock that had plummeted from space. She held her broom tightly incase the bludger came back for seconds, but all she really did hear was someone from the opposite team congratulating the beater who had sent the bludger her way. She was about to send them a dirty look before she realized that sending bludgers at other players was what she was suppose to be doing anyway. One of her teammates approached her and asked if she was alright.
"I'm fine." she responded, "I'll make sure pay attention next time.".┗ ┛

✯There is nothing scary about naturally talented people, hardworking people are the ones to be afraid of ✯The day arrived for Tracey's first unofficiaAfter Tracey had got into position and the game had officially started, Tracey zoomed off towards where the quaffle was. She and her fellow Ravenclaw quarreled with the opponent team to get the quaffle. But as they were doing so, the opponent team had already scored 30 points.
By the time Tracey had gotten the quaffle, she passed it to @Elizabeth Stonewall who passed it to @Janosch Dehoff who scored. A smile appeared on Tracey's face when Jan had scored.
Sure they only had 10 points, but at least they got something. As Tracey was celebrating her team having 10 points, she didn't notice that Ruth was coming straight for her.
She only realized this when she sensed a presence coming over to her at full speed. Tracey maintained the grip on her broom and watched as Ruth had flew past her, as if nothing had happened.
But, Koko had caught what had happened and Tracey heard that Ruth had to do a penalty lap. Oh how Tracey hoped she didn't have to do a penalty lap.
Tracey shoved those thoughts away and got ready for the next round. She stayed where she was, but was ready to move if she had to. Hopefully they'll be able to score more points during the next round.

Lovely banner by Sage WillowsLouisa McStately felt a surge of pride as she soured through the air. This was the first time on a broom in the Quidditch pitch, and she felt, well, amazing! While the little first year could hardly be described as self-confident nor cocky, she couldn’t help admitting she had shown a fair bit of unexpected talent. Her team was on thirty points! Thirty points all scored by here! Louisa, of course, wasn’t at all about to claim that the work was at all her work either. There was the admittance of all the work the rest of her team had done too…Speech: color=#a67b01

The speed of her flight whipped at Louisa’s face and caused her no longer neat hair to fly behind her. As she tried to focus on the game, Louisa couldn’t help a small smile crossing her pink lips. Her eyes twinkled two, half hoping Piérre caught the snitch soon, half that the game could go on for a little longer. There really was something wonderful about flying through the air on a broom, grabbing the Quaffle and riding, before throwing it through the goal posts, oh, and not to mention being part of a team. AEIOUSAThe whistle from Koko pierced the air as it signaled the start of the game. Prat's heart raced as he soared into air on his broomstick, the cool breeze of the stadium brushing against his cheeks. He usually attempted to find the snitch flutter in the distance, a glint of gold, but this time, his immediate concern was not it, having chosen to play as a beater instead, Prat knew what he had to focus on.
Soon into the game, Prat swung his bat with all his might, aiming for the opposing player who had the audacity to exist. Time seemed to slow as the bludger shot through the air, a projectile of fate, one that Prat hoped would land it's mark. Yet, to his dismay, the potential victim saw it coming and deftly swerved out of its path.
Prat's stomach dropped as his team's score remained unchanged, by the time the round wrapped up however, Prat's team was in lead. Yet, he knew better than to get complacent. The game of quidditch was fickle, and just like any other sports, leads could vanish as quickly as they were acquired in quid. Getting ready to go up once again, Prat readied his bat.

| Despite Mamori's endless desire to test the limits of friendly physical greetings in an actual match, fate had different plans — cursed save duty. How terribly responsible of him.
The match kicked off with some rather impressive Quaffle-grabbing courtesy of Miss Moontrimmer, who, after a brief warm-up period of two relatively unremarkable rounds, decided to demonstrate exactly why some people deserved their fancy brooms. Even in two-on-one situations, she snatched the Quaffle back repeatedly, racking up thirty points that had their side glowing with pride.
"Oi, Louisa!" he called out, "Save some glory for the rest of us mere mortals, would you?"
Maisie, on the other hand, had also found her stride after that first goal slipped through, successfully blocking the next attempt while somehow managing to dodge Oliver's potentially bone-crushing Bludger by what looked like mere millimeters. Bloody hell, what was it with Beaters and their pathological need to target Keepers with their very first shot? Yet another reason to be eternally grateful for his career change.
His contemplation of actually doing something useful was then interrupted by a blur rushing past him toward the opposing team. Ruth's move landed with all the bite of a butterfly kiss, gaining nothing but a whistle from Koko. While it didn't quite match Elisa or that Kiwi girl from months back, he'd keep his critiques to himself. She hardly seemed the type for violence anyway — though really, they should just let him handle that part next time.
At least Koko's response to the whole affair was rather telling. He might be reading too much into it, but the message seemed clear enough: next time, just don't get caught. Bloody brilliant officiating, that.
Resigned to playing guardian angel, Mamori hovered about, scanning the pitch for any unfortunate souls in need of rescue from their newfound separation with their brooms. Much to his disappointment, everyone seemed determined to stay firmly mounted today; the Beaters were handling themselves just fine, and their towering Seeker remained mercifully untargeted. While this was technically good news, it left him feeling rather... superfluous.
The existential crisis of being reduced to pitch decoration was starting to set in.
Wait a minute. When had he started playing support again? Hadn't the whole point of being a Chaser been to either score or cause chaos? Damn it, he wanted in on the offensive action too.| ─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────Comet 180 [+2 accuracy, +1 evasion, +1 stamina]

Beating the Odds
───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

There was a... slight chance he was having too much fun on Romeo's broom. Hey it wasn't his fault that it felt like the wizard equivalent of a muscle car--one that could both pull and race with ease and finesse. Every touch he made on it seemed to be exceptionally amplified in its effect. A slight nudge to the right and he was being sent into a sharp, hooking tailspin before zipping off in another direction. It felt familiar to him in the way that it was similar to how it felt when he took upon himself the nonhuman shape that he knew was concealed inside.───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────Calming Presence in Effect: Figaro & Team Martingale Affected

───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
With that knowledge, he was starting to understand the tags a bit better--what tiny movements resulted in a better angle, a better speed after the turn. "Incredibilmente potente... Incredibly powerful" He remarked to himself as he pitched once more with a slight waver. "What about... Forte?" He wrinkled his nose. "A bit on the nose, but accurate. Mmmmm I dunno... doesn't really have that ring..." So distracted, enamored with the might of the Oakshaft and in trying to figure out how it flew so cleanly, he was struggling to keep his eyes totally on the skies. Perhaps the glint had just hidden itself as a slight glint on his goggles, just enough so that he couldn't quite track where it went for the time being.
But surely he was not the only one that was struggling. Bludgers were pitching below him and the sound of a bat cracking the cast iron rung briefly through the air. Glancing down, he watched as a young girl slammed into one of the other female chasers... but no dice on the fall. Huh... people were finally getting smart to the entire "blatch the team" strategy? It had surely taken them long enough to do so.
Another bludger just barely missed one of his own teammates, the nearness of the relentless bone-breaking ball causing Piérre to inhale sharply through his teeth before relaxing and then trying to focus up again. If he could just spot it... then he could end this quickly without too many people getting too hurt. "I'm going! Just... buy me some time! Y'all are doing great, keep it up!" Thirty points up was not bad. Not bad at all.
But he had to find that little snidget. He was the closer in that regard--the maker or breaker of the length and dictation of the final play of the match.
If he was a tiny golden ball with silver wings and a haphazard flight pattern... where would he be...?

───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────Steady Oop
In the role of Seeker you when you have found the snitch, if someone attempts to use Alley Oop to help you find the snitch, the disadvantage is cancelled out. However, with this broom you do not gain the +1 chance to grab the snitch for rounds that the Alley Oop is used. To clarify, each round someone attempts to grab a snitch they get a +1 to the attempt and this stacks. There is no bonus (or stack from this round's attempt to grab) to grabbing the snitch.
Redirection
In the role of Seeker, if an opponent attempts to Bludger or Blatch you, there is a 20% chance that you veer out of the way the last second and another enemy player at RANDOM is targeted instead.
Note: The new target still gets their normal dodge attempt. This is not considered to be an auto-dodge, in fact this roll is done before any accuracy rolls are done.
Double-Snatch
In the role of Seeker, when using the search action if you critically fail on your search you get a re-roll in an attempt to find the snitch. In an attempt to grab the snitch, if you critically fail on your attempt to grab the snitch you get to re-roll your attempt to grab the snitch.
