Harrison Harkwood is a slim, nimble-looking young boy. He has short somewhat ruffled brown hair, hazel-green eyes, and cheeks sprinkled with freckles. His nose presents a small bump along its bridge, and his jawline is moderately squared.

He likes to wear clothing that makes him look smart, polished and always put-together. An abundance of blazers, cable-knit jumpers, collared shirts, vests, chinos, coats, boat shoes and scarves can be found in his wardrobe. Harrison's preferred patterns are stripes, plaids and argyles.

Harrison Harkwood's defining characteristics would have to be his curiosity and his thirst for knowledge. Ever since he was a little child, Harrison would endeavor to understand as much of the world around him as he could, whether that be through asking his parents incessant questions or through practical experiences.

Harrison, thanks to his inquisitive nature, often manages to achieve high marks in school, which in turn makes him feel accomplished in his own right and sates his ambition.

Harrison can also be quite stubborn: he has difficulty accepting that, at times, his way of doing things isn't the only correct one and could even be detrimental.

Harrison's life at home before Hogwarts can be described as peaceful, serene, stimulating and exciting. His parents, Susan and Edward, had always made sure to nurture their son's creativity, so that he may find it easier to think out of the box as well.

Their favorite activities to do together as a family were, and still are, going on excursions and visiting historical landmarks: one of Harrison's treasured memories is of his family going on a trek up the Glastonbury Tor and gazing at the town below.

In school, Harrison hadn't had too much trouble making friends: sure, at first it could be hard to break the ice, but after a while Harrison would gain confidence and be more outspoken with his peers. Sometimes, Harrison's stubbornness and nitpickiness could drive people away, but he didn't beat himself up over it: if it wasn't meant to be, it wasn't meant to be.

Harrison's favorite person would have to have been his maternal grandfather Harry. They were like two peas in a pod: his grandpa would always indulge Harrison's questions and, being very keen on history himself, would always teach him something new.

So, it naturally was a rough time for Harrison when his grandpa came to pass: he'd had a hard time at school for the first few weeks after the fact, often having to excuse himself to go to the bathroom and just cry.

Harrison took comfort in visiting his grandpa's grave, even by himself, and just spending time there with him. It was on one such occasion that Harrison first displayed a feat of accidental magic: he had brought a bouquet of wildflowers he had personally picked. When he laid them over his grandpa's grave, Harrison couldn't help but feel a deep sense of longing and of nostalgia.

He reached out with his hand, and suddenly the bouquet of wildflowers gently burst as all of its flowers floated up into the air and danced around, carried by the soft breeze. Harrison couldn't believe it: had that been his grandpa trying to send him a message from the Great Beyond? Or had it simply been a gust of wind? Either way, Harrison was content and at peace.
