I'm not crying I swear...
As they made their way back to the Library. James told her as much as he could, about his old life back in Bromley, about his Mum and Dad, about Pete and all the mischief they used to get up to together. He smiled, feeling far better than he had been moments before.
He also told her about Lark, Clem, Logan and now Gem. How they'd made a pact to look out for each other on the night of the great feast and how they'd shared breakfast with each other.
"Even though we may not all entirely agree on this Statute of Secrecy thing, " he said, "We can agree, that witches like Savannah Rose and Tatiana Crane are bad news. We're a lot stronger when we stick together. So... if you're around- like feel free to come hang out with us yeah?"
He considered for a moment that he should invite her to their Slumber Party, but he realised that as a Hufflepuff, she'd be unable to get into the Ravenclaw Common Room.
"You know, I feel like... I feel like we just need to DO something about this - I don't know what - but like - like a- club or something. A group that looks out for each other and protect people from people like them."
They were outside the door of the Library at this point and he could see Savannah and Tatiana still sitting at the same table he had left not long ago.
"I guess this is it" he said with a smile, "thanks for cheering me up, and if I ever do more about this group of mine - I'll let you know. See you round!"
And with that he sprinted off, hoping he wasn't too late to catch Lark.

Interacting with @James McMurtrie. OOC: I think a last word for this one would be intersting, just because. I'll owl you in a bit
As they walked along and talked, Amelia couldn't help but smile to herself. She figured it was pure luck at this point to have stumbled across James, and she loved every second of it. It had been a while since she had felt so at ease with someone. So between him telling her about his life, she told him bits and pieces of hers. She told him of her sweet tooth and her love of animals; of her constant obsession of wanting to better herself for her family and friends. She told him of her favorite colors and the day she first used magic and her mum's reaction. It was nice, really, to be able to talk so freely with someone.
"You know, I feel like... I feel like we just need to DO something about this - I don't know what - but like - like a- club or something. A group that looks out for each other and protect people from people like them."
She considered his words for a moment, weighing them carefully in the back of her mind before she nodded in soft agreement,"You didn't hear this from me but... I believe I agree with you, James, especially if they're as bad as you say. However, I think I'll give them the benefit of the doubt before coming to any conclusions." She saw the way his face flickered when his gaze flit to the door and she smiled, gently reaching out and squeezing his hand in a friendly gesture,"Don't worry about it okay?"
When all he offered was a slight nod before he rambled off again about continuing his group, she offered her support,"Let me know about what you pull together, okay? I'll see you then."
As he scurried off to meet his friend, she turned her gaze to the group of students inside and couldn't help but wonder about what kind of mess she was involving herself in.
