Speech -- Thoughts

Pam nearly stumbled when Tracey suggested dyeing strands. She blinked owlishly at her, "Oh, why didn't I think of that." She giggled, "That's why you're in Ravenclaw and I'm not," she joked, although her smile faded as she remembered, "Oh wait no. I know why I haven't thought of it. My dad would murder me."

She cocked her head and flashed the older girl a smile, "But that's a good idea. It shall be considered." Although how she would do it was a good question. But her brain never failed her. "Do you know if we have magical dyes?" Pam asked her curiously.

Pam watched the girl pick up speed and smiled. "Wait for me!" She called, before quickly following her. She shook her head, "No thanks. I can always come back here. I will have to, since I plan to ask one of the seniors to train me. For now I'm going to bother you. I hope you don't mind."

Pam was gradually losing her reservations around the girl. She laughed happily, moving around Tracey and landing herself in front of her, at enough distance so that they did not bump into each other. "Maybe purple or blue highlights?" She cupped her cheeks, "Which one do you think?"

Pam clapped enthusiastically, "That sounds excellent. Purple is one of my favourite colors!" She added, "I don't think he'll oppose too strongly, but maybe I can wait till I'm in my second or third year. I think he'll prefer that. I'll search up about magical dyes while I'm at it too." She clicked her tongue as a thought occurred to her, "I hope magical dyes don't involve sparkles or multiple color changes every minute though. That would be....mega weird."

Pam trailed off, a comfortable silence enveloping the two girls for a while
She scanned her surroundings again, taking her time to laze around the rink next to her new friend but then started as she remembered something. "Oh wait." She turned to Tracey, "Do you have a watch or someway to say how long we've been here? I promised one of my friends to help her out with something." And she had a feeling both girls would murder her if she got too late. Plus Ira and Ruth were still rather..... sensitive with each other. Pam generally tried to avoid keeping them to together for long without her.

She flashed Tracey an apologetic smile, "I forgot mine back in my room."

Speech -- Thoughts

Pam hummed softly, nodding in response to when Tracey said she didn't have a watch either. After all, she had come out to skate. There was no reason to carry a watch. She hesitated, not really wanting to leave just yet, but she had a feeling that she was getting late. She didn't like being late and considering why had happened the last time those two girls had met, it would be best for her to take precautions.

She smiled at the older girl softly, "Then, I'm afraid I need to leave now. But I'll definitely see you again sometime!" That was a promise she made to both of them. Pam really liked the girl, and she wanted to get to know her better, perhaps next time in a different setting. She waved her goodbye, and then turned around, skating back towards the end of the lake, where she had kept her stuff.

She reached the snowy ground and sat down, practically freezing in seconds, "Darn, that's cold." She didn't dwindle though, taking off her skates as fast as she could and standing up quickly. She picked up her bag from the ground and turned to glance over at Tracey again. See you next time then. she turned and walked away from the Great Lake.
