Avery smiled and nodded. She understood how annoying the heat could be. That's why Avery loved Wales. It never got too hot there, but it did get pretty cold. But the cold was so much better than the heat! "I agree. The summer heat is super annoying. That's why I always loved visiting my grandparents in my hometown. It was never above 80 degrees there. Actually, it was cooler because they lived on a farm surrounded by forests an mountains."

Avery relished the moment. She missed her family and hoped she would be able to see them again. She wanted to feel the cool mountain breeze gently graze her skin and she wanted to feel the rays of dawn on her face. That was the life.

Avery nodded at Pam's answer about what her favorite parts of winter are. Avery also loved all those things. When Pam asked her what her favorite part was she thought for a second. What was her favorite part? "I think my favorite part is Christmas. Probably because it is usually the happiest time of the year for me."

Avery hoped that she wasn't talking too much. Pam seemed nice, so Avery felt comfortable enough around her to actually talk. "Sorry if I'm bothering you with all my chatter. I don't usually talk this much either."

That's when Avery students filling the hallways. That's when she remembered that she needed to get to class. "Sorry to be leaving so soon, but I need to get to class. Maybe we could hang out again later?" Avery asked as she walked back into the school. Ready for her next class.

Speech -- Thoughts

Pam smiled as she listened to her talk about her hometown, So, she's Welsh? That's nice. "That's really cool!" She said, "I currently live in Ipswich and thankfully there's not a lot of summer there. And winter is pretty cold too. And no, you're not bothering me."

Pam was gradually growing much happier about her relationship with her father. She had heard of a number of people not having good relations with their families and it seemed to her that the expectations were high among the pure-blood families. She was suddenly glad her father was not magical. She was truly lucky to have such an amazing dad.

Her thoughts were interrupted by Avery saying it was time for class and Pam turned her head to see Hogwarts students filing into the hallway. Huh. How time flies. "Right!" She said in response to the girl's words, "I have to get to class soon too!" She stood up, mirroring the other girl's action, "But yes, we must hang out again sometime." As she watched the girl walk away, she realised that they would have to go in two opposite directions. "Well, until next time, then." She murmured, before turning and walking towards her next class.
