The boy spoke, the word unlike any he would ever speak. "Lol." It was kind of funny to him. The boy who did the most damage to the bloody elder slytherin girl that they were duelling was downed! But before matthew went down, he successfully casted his Flipendo on Elisa, and honestly, it made Noah feel a little proud of him as he didn't fail a casting as he went unconscious.

He wasn't sure exactly what he would do, so while the others slung their spells at each other, Noah contemplated what to do. Elisa missed her casting of Flipendo against Ernest, Alyss hitting Ernest with the firemaking spell BUT he didn't get any sort of funky flames on his shoulders like any normal person did. At least it was a successful casting. Prat attempted to cast the firemaking spell at Kiana was not exactly successful, as he missed his target.

How was this elder girl staying in the game for so long? She looked worse for wear!

Noah finally got the courage to bellow. "STOP!"

When the casting was paused, he walked up onto the piste and grabbed Matthew's unconscious body, dragging him by his feet across as many bumpy surfaces on the floor as he could as he went back to a spot where he felt he was safe to moderate the duel further. "You may continue."

Parselmouth is in bold black.
It took a moment for Kiana to process what she'd managed to do - Matthew was out. It took one hit, the one hit she'd put her all into, and he was out. That was one less opponent to worry about. As sadistic as it seemed, Kiana took a little pride in her work. She'd been set on fire and could have been eliminated ages ago, but she'd stood strong. And now the boy who'd set her on fire was out, by her wand. But seeing his unconscious body dragging roughly on the floor sparked a bit of guilt. Had she gone too rough? Would he be okay? Would he suffer severe injuries? She assured herself that it was fine. After all, duelling was a cruel sport - there was no time to pity the fallen. She directed her gaze at the others. A spell was hurled her way and she swiftly dodged - somehow. Her feet still had not failed her.

In her state, any one of them could take her out. She'd be gone in an instant, so she knew better than to get ahead of herself. Kiana shifted slightly, positioning herself comfortably - going forward, she'd have to keep up the nimble footwork. She regarded all of them with suspicion, like a snake looking for its prey. Who would be her next victim? Boys first, she decided, lifting her wand.

Secretly, she wondered if that incited fear. Knowing how she'd survived the last few rounds and even managed to knock out an opponent, she wondered if the sight of her lifting her wand once more prompted anxiousness. She'd worry about it later. This time, Kiana thought, she'd try a little bit of fire...

Elisa gave Alyss a little grin. The girls did have a chance to win, but only if they gave everything they've got - the duel was far from over yet. With that, Elisa swivelled around to face her opponent, wand raised in front of her. Her chestnut eyes fixed Ernest, who was to be her next target. Swiftly, she cast the spell, the usual light of a Knockback Jinx firing out of the tip of her wand across the duelling piste. Unfortunately for Elisa but rather the contrary for her target, the spell missed, a couple inches to the left. The second year girl let out a small sigh, but before she could do anything else, a fierce, blinding light came hurling at her.

She barely had time to blink. Getting into contact with her body, the thin stream of light from the spell seemed to have become a strong, massive fist. It knocked right into her chest, squeezing the air out her. For the split of a second, Elisa thought she had experienced how it was like to be squashed by a truck. Then, under the pressure of the Knockback Jinx, she felt her body fall backwards. She stumbled and fell in a heap onto the ground.

She gasped, letting a big gulp of air into her lungs. Elisa stood up, slightly wavering from the after-effects of the Knockback Jinx. Now, thinking back to it, the spell that had hit her seemed stronger than any other she had seen. The light sharp and blinding, and the effect had certainly been pretty strong. She stared at the direction from which the spell came from, expecting to see one of her opponents triumphantly standing there. Instead, to her surprise, she saw Matthew, crumpled in a heap on the ground. He was unconscious. Elisa looked around, confused. Was it not Matthew who had hit her? Then, seeing Kiana staring at Mattew with an odd expression, she understood. Kiana had hit Matthew, causing him to loose consciousness, but not before he had managed to hit Elisa with his own spell. A pretty well cast one, too, for someone barely conscious... Elisa thought.

The other two girls, at least, did not seem to have been hurt this round. Kiana state, however, did not seem to have improved, and Alyss was not unharmed either. Elisa sighed. Duelling was not as easy as she had expected.

Then, a loud shout from the moderator called her back from her thoughts. People were now dragging the unconscious Matthew off the piste. Elisa stiffened. The reality of Matthew's unconsciousness finally came to her, and she was now overcome with a big surge of empathy to the fallen boy. There was also some kind of guilt mixed with it. Had she targeted Matthew this round? That didn't really matter... Elisa just hadn't ever thought about people duelling to the point of falling unconscious - she should have known, though. Or else how did they determine who won the duel if people didn't fall...?

Tears began flowing around her eyes. She quickly looked away. Were there not any wizarding sports where people didn't get hurt so easily? Gritting her teeth and turning back to her team, she took a deep breath and forced onto her face and encouraging smile.

A grin split across Alyss’s face as she watched her spell hit her target, and the grim satisfaction of knowing the effect she was having on their duel was indeed worth the time and effort she was putting in. It was thrilling- she could feel the rush of adrenaline as she cast, and let her instincts take over as she prepared to dodge.

Her Incendio had actually hit this time, and Ernest, her target, was looking rough. Glancing over to scan the rest of the match’s participants, she found herself shocked to see Matthew having been knocked out of the duel. Of course, it had been inevitable, and she had expected either Kiana or him to tap out soon, but that didn’t change the very real feeling of… was it guilt? Shock? Worry? Alyss wasn’t completely sure what she was feeling, but at the moment, she didn’t have the time to find out.

Kiana was still standing, and at this point Alyss was growing to expect to see the girls face when she turned, still very much in this duel for good. Elisa had been hit at long last, leaving no one in this battle untouched. Fortunately, they seemed to have the upper hand, given that although Kiana had been targeted early, Matthew had been the first knocked out, which left it as a 3 vs 2 match, one that Alyss was determined to win.
