Raizel grumbled, the duel getting to her head once again but more about the fact that her spell missed again. It was like she had gotten worse than when she was before. Is she so out of shape so bad that she can’t even land a single hit? There is also the effect of the spell so maybe that contributed to her miss.

All is not lost at least for she was able to dodge an incoming spell from the first year. Still, her opponent is doing better than her. She wasn’t that great during her first year, making her a bit jealous. Not like she’s doing great right now either. She was still in the same pathetic state that she was last year. But perhaps, that was her own fault. She had given up on this sport so guess she does deserve to be bad at it. How did she even end up being a duelling captain when this is all she got?

No, stop it. This mindset, this is the same mindset that she had before and what led her to countless frustrations. She needs to get out of it… for now at least now that she’s only starting once more. Raizel shook her head, tightened her grip on her wand. Clear mind, that’s what she needs if she wants to perform better.

Evening, 10 November, 2024...

Prat was awaiting the sparks to fly. Something he was promised he would be made bear witness to. However the duel seemed to progress towards anything but that. They were going for one parlor trick after the other. Sure, a smart strategy but not quite as entertaining as Prat had hoped for. The random dances and missed spells were fun to watch from a newbie, not quite for someone like Prat who had seen these enough times. He almost had a love-hate relationship with these spells that did not damage yet caused immense problems amidst a duel.

With round three, both of these incredible jesters Prat had managed to involve himself in decided to take their chances by taking away the very ability to see from their Opponent. Evpraksiya cast a Green sparks charm on Rai, taking away her sight while Rai managed to return the favor instantly with an Obscuro. This truly was the most monke brain moment in all of duelling. Monke see, Monke do. Much like how these two had the same idea with different approaches. Prat could only stand at the sidelines. Watching as the two attempted to do.....whatever it is they were doing at this point, hoping he would not have to escort either one to hospital wing.

This duel sure is something, that’s for sure. There wasn’t that much going on with how spells are just constant misses and yes, she hates that but what can she do when her aim is bad and her opponent is good at dodging everything she throws at her. It just shows how much she needed to get herself back into shape if her duel is turning out like this. There was no excitement, only annoyance.

“I sure need a lot of practice.” Yes, yes she does. Rounds had passed and not a single spell of hers had hit Evpraksiya and that’s kind of embarrassing for a former duellist AND a duelling captain. Do better, she really needs to do better and no matter how much she says that in her mind, she could never do better for some reason. Duelling just hates her that much as if it’s telling her to never return to it, to show her how much her grandmother was right about her.

In hopes of getting a hit in, Raizel had decided to cast Obscuro and for once, her spell hit but bad luck once again struck as she found herself blinded as well by the same thing that Evpraksiya used on her earlier. “Oh, not again. That’s bright, too bright.” She uttered, shaking her head and blinking her eyes. She won’t be surprised if she goes blind after this duel.
