XXXThe sun was beginning to set, sinking slowly beneath the horizon as it cast golden-orange rays across the sky. Parts of the sky were streaked a beautiful purple and pink, the clouds dyed the same. Eonaria sat at the edge of the Great Lake, her bag resting against the rock beside her. She had the day's papers, involving an essay for Potions, a diagram of a Fire Seed Bush, and the most recent letter from Brie.
XXXAfter she finished labeling her sketch, she tucked it inside her bag. Phew. Most of the light was gone from the sky, so Eonaria should probably head inside soon. But first: Quill Pal! She unfolded the letter, scanning it with a smile. Another riddle! After a puzzled moment, she realized what it was: a broom! ...stick! Muggles used them for sweeping, wizards used them for traversing the skies. Honestly, it was still an outrage- but at least Muggles didn't use magical brooms to get dust out. So, Brie had flying class first on Fridays, which was coming up in three days. Eonaria knew she could just make a detour in her usual schedule to take a trip outside in the mornings. Perfect! Hopefully she had enough information to find Brie. After all, brown hair was pretty common.
XXXEonaria read on: Brie wanted to know what she ate for breakfast? Well, that was pretty easy- oh. She blinked, rereading the sentence. She had to be specific? ...oh. She tried not to laugh to herself. Oh, Brie, I am so sorry. Eonaria tugged out the bundle of napkin, unfolding it to find a chocolate cookie. Aww, that's so nice! It makes me feel bad for what I'm about to write. She grabbed a spare piece of parchment, leaning over to see what she was writing.XXXEonaria took a quick bite.November 12
Dear Brie,
XXXHello! Thank you so much for the cookie! I really appreciate it.XXXBy this point, Eonaria could barely see well enough to finish off her last sentence, so she settled for that. She tucked the parchment into an envelope and set off back towards the castle to send the letter. The windows were illuminated with light, showing her path back.Tell your mother it was delicious! As for your riddle, it was well composed. For breakfast, I usually eat nothing. I don't often attend breakfast, because I am almost never hungry in the mornings. However, I believe this is a pretty unfortunate answer, so I will add that on the days that I do go to breakfast, I often drink orange juice and eat toast or oatmeal. My sincerest apologies, as this is just about the answer that you told me not to give. I eat oatmeal plain, and I eat toast with either butter or strawberry jam. My question is, do you usually wear anything paired with your school robes?
Best regards,
Nari

13th November, 17.32 free time after classes
No worries! Having a life outside of Hio isn't a crime hahaIt was a beautiful fall evening, and despite the gradually decreasing temperature, the students seemed to be in a generaly good spirits, chattering and laughting away with their friends as they roamed the school grounds, clothed in pom-pom hats and scarfs in colors of their respective house.
Sabrina sat at a table in the courtyard, her chin nestled between her clenched fists as she leaned on the wooden desk with her elbows, frowning at the piece of parchment infront of her. It was the newest letter from Nari. The girl didn't eat breakfast. Sighing, Sabrina pinched the bridge of her nose, her breath coming out in a soft puff of haze.
She chuckled to herself, shaking her head, rereading said letter. It wasn't that her questions were bad - they were good, just not right. She'll have to try a different approach. From her friend's previous question, it was obvious that the game was coming to a close, it's pivotal moment set on Sabrina's first class this friday, flying.
She'll have to base her strategy around that. So Nari will come, that was clear, but because she herself had to also have classes, it'd be at the beggining or end of the lesson, the latter more probable. Of course, she has the basic idea of what Sabrina looks like, but the young ravenclaw could name at least three other girls with brown hair and blueish eyes that shared the class with her from the top of her head, so that gave her some hope. Actually, thinking about it, this might be a good gateway to victory for her. Nari will have to recognize her amongst other students, but she herself will be the only Griffindor there, easy to spot as noone ever specates on their lessons.
If she plays it right, Sabrina can use that to her advantage. All she has to do is act normal, not look for Nari or seem nervous about getting spotted. With some luck, which has been avoiding her like cat avoids water for the majority of their game, Nari won't recognize her. Then she just needs to get a glimse of the other girl, finding her later after the class, winning the game. It wasn't a fullproof plan, it hardly was a plan at all, but that was enough for Sabrina as she picked up an unused piece of parchment, writing her own letter on it.

Glad you liked the cookie, I'll definitely let my mom know. I'll admit my last question was a bit of a miss, but oh well. You you win some you lose other. You're own question was rather interesting. Planning a visit, huh? Anyway, to give you your answer: I am not big on acessories, but if I do wear something, it's usually to keep my hair at bay. There wasn't really a good way to cypher that, so you get spared this one time.
Today I'd like to know this, if I were to see you in a hallway, what would be the first thing that distinguishes you from others that I'd notice?
See you Friday,
Brie

XXXEonaria was sitting on the bathroom counter, staring into the mirror. It was getting late, and she should probably start getting ready soon. But first, she wanted to figure out the answer to Brie's question. The letter had arrived two hours ago, but upon reading it at dinner, Eonaria decided to wait until she got back to the dormitory. After all, she wasn't entirely sure what would instantly make her stand out in a hallway.
XXXObviously, there was the streak of hair dyed green, but that was really only visible from two angles. But something that she knew was very recognizable about her was the aura of innocent, child-like naivety constantly surrounding her. But Eonaria didn't know how to communicate that. She was definitely taller than fit for a child... After a long moment of squinting at herself in the mirror, she finally sighed, picking up the piece of parchment next to her and beginning to write.XXXEonaria examined what she just wrote. Was she actually so sleep deprived that she was beginning to ramble in writing?November 13
Dear Brie,
XXXI'll admit, though this game is quite fun, I'd like to strike first. But now you're expecting me, I suppose. .^. It definitely adds a bit of extra suspense. Thank you for the easy answer! I'd like to return the favor- though it's mainly because I am a bit too tired to compose a disguise for my own answer. If you were to see me in the hallway, assuming we are walking in opposite directions and I am to your right, you would see that part of my hair is dyed to show off my nonexistent Slytherin pride. No, I'm just kidding. It's for my brother. No, it's not that either. I just wanted to.XXXStifling a yawn, Eonaria hopped down from the counter top, deciding to send it in the morning. If she trekked all the way to the Owlery, she might just freeze- or fall asleep midway.XXXAnywho, I'm also looking forward to seeing you in two days. By the way, my answer would also apply if you were facing me directly, but not if we were walking side by side.
XXXCheers,
XXXXXNari

14th November, 8.26 during breakfast
The letter arrived early today, actually already laying on the table on her usual spot when Sabrina came in for breakfast. Her gaze half-heartedly scanned the Griffindor table, mostly out of habit by now, knowing fully well that the girl migh not - and probably isn't - there.
Sitting down, she snapped the envelope open, not looking away from it as she reached for a bowl of oatmeal. She tapped around the wooden table to find a spoon, digging into her food as soon as she did. She tried to eat without having to stop reading, only succeeding to shove the spoon in her mouth on her third try, managing to stab her cheek with it - probably leaving some oatmeal smeared on it - the first two times.
That wasn't the reason for the way her brows creased. Her full spoon frozen halfway to her still open mouth, she brought the piece of parchment closer to her face, squinting at it. After rereading it again, her brows shot up, hand slowly back in motion, finding her mouth with ease this time. At first, she thought she must've just missed it, but no! This time, Nari had not asked a question.
Sabrina could overthink this and interpret it as her already confident in her knowladge to a point that she didn't feel the need to do so, but the more likely and less complicated answer was, that she had simply forgotten to write it. Putting the letter down, Sabrina finally shifted her attention to her meal, absentmindedly reaching the cuff of her robes up to rub her cheek where the oatmeal dried up.
Later in classroom, before the lesson started, she wrote a quick reply.
WC: 384 | Interacting with: @Eonaria KabukimonoDearest Nari,
Guess this might be my last letter before we see eachother, huh? I must say, this game was really fun, I am almost sad it's ending. Almost. But it ending means that I will finally meet you in person! Can't wait to do that. Anyways, you forgot to ask a question, silly goose. I guess it's fine, since you might not even get the answer in time, but still. I really enjoyed making the riddles.
That being said, this is my question for you: ready for Friday?
See you soon,
Brie

XXXEonaria was perched happily in an armchair in the library, researching for History of Magic. She was about to add a note for her new essay when an owl plopped onto her parchment from the window. Eonaria chuckled in surprise, gently lifting the owl off. “You know, if that ink was wet, you’d be in big trouble.” She took the letter it offered, reading it over quickly. Ah, it’s Brie again! They were going to meet soon? Yep, definitely. Wait a minute.
XXXEonaria leaned closer. She had forgotten to ask her question??? She gasped, nearly dropping the letter. The owl gave her a judgemental look from its perch on the windowsill. Dang it, I could have asked her if she goes to Flying from the entrance to the Great Hall or from.. some other exit. Ah, well. Too late now. It’s show time! Eonaria grinned, essay completely forgotten.
XXXShe grabbed yet another piece of parchment(Merlin, this game has really used up a lot of my stock. I didn’t think I would be sending so many letters in my first year!) and began to write.November 14
XXXDear Brie,
XXXWhoops! That’s my bad, I forgot to ask my question? But that’s okay, I probably didn’t have a very good question to ask, anyhow. As for your question… hmm. Am I ready? Of course!! Are you? I’ll be so jittery tomorrow you might just find me jumping around! ٩( ᐛ )و See you tomorrow!
XXXBest,
