The duel began and immediately both sides cast a flurry of spells at each other. For the Gryffindor side, their attention was primarily focused on Hades who managed to dodge one wind jinx but was hit by a knockback jinx.
Despite his best effort to dodge out of the way of the incoming attacks, the Hufflepuff side found some success with their targeting of Kim. Hit with both a blast of wind and a knockback jinx, it was a less than ideal situation. Julian, meanwhile, was in the world of hurt. Still paralyzed from a body-bind curse, he was unable to move even as mucus continued to form on his face.
It was still early in the duel but if this round was any indication, they were in for a fun match.

Gryffindor vs Hufflepuff: Match 3
Nicky was more focused than ever, hoping her lucky streak would continue but unfortunately her second spell was nowhere near as successful as the first one. However, that was not the end of the duel and she was sure she was going to bounce back from her failure if she tried hard enough. After all, she was a gryffindor and a Gryffindor would never give up after just one mistake.

Well this sure wasn’t going so well….Jakes idea to follow Julian’s lead had been cut quite short when his friend hit the ground paralyzed, and though he struggled it didn’t look like he’d be getting up any time soon. Now Hades had gotten pelted with spells as well…luckily some of their own had connected. “Er, just hang in there down there Julian we got this!” he called out in vain.

If Julian had been able to read Cassius' thoughts, he would've vigorously disagreed that this match was shaping up to be anything other than deeply unfun and unpleasant. After all, he was stuck, lying uncomfortably on the ground, trying his best to struggle against the heaviness in his limbs, to no avail, and struggling to breathe through the snot pooling down his throat.
Useless to his team and feeling like he was about to pass out, he was deeply miserable. He barely even heard Jake's words of encouragement.

Hades was quite impatient, but he was determined to win once and for all. As soon as everyone started, he was hit sideways by Rose, something that he did not find very much to his liking. His anger, motivated after being hit, surprisingly worked as a motivating factor to perform his spell against Kim, which he executed it perfectly and hit him along with Jake. He stared at Julian with apprehension and a little worried... He had not seen himself caring for a teammate before. It was something new.

Entering the third exchange of spells the action was really beginning to pick up. Though the tactics did not change much, both teams found more success than with previous attempts. On the Gryffindor side, a wind and knockback jinxes found their mark on Hades who the lions seemed to be targeting exclusively with Julian in his little world of paralyzed hurt.
The badgers again targeted Kim who in anticipation of the incoming attacks attempted to dodge. Unfortunately for him, both Hufflepuffs managed to land their attacks -- two knockback jinxes which hit simultaneously causing even Cassius to secondhand wince at them knowing fully well what it felt like. Julian, in his own little world of pain, had finally managed to regain control of his limbs although his nose was now thoroughly covered with mucus. He was up but he was not looking good. Unfortunately for Julian, Cassius only offered his handkerchief to the ladies.

Gryffindor vs Hufflepuff: Match 3
Nicky was worried about Kim but she couldn't lose focus. She knew that it was a very real possibility that someone on their team would get carried away to the hospital wing but right now her main focus was to make sure the other team wasn't strong enough to win. This way she could protect Kim, Rose and herself. And that was what she was going to do. Fight for her house and it's honor with all her might.
