Ophelia had to keep reminding herself that she wasn't herself right now. She was Sofia Mancini. She was a baker. She made sweets. She was nice to everyone she liked, and she wasn't nice to those she didn't.

It felt like to Sofia that everyone had begun speaking at once. Everyone's voices got muddled in her head, and she didn't understand anything until someone-- a boy who had introduced himself in the round before as Tony DeLuca-- pointed at her and Not-Quinn, asking for their roles, accusing them of being "awfully quiet," whatever that meant.

Sofia crossed her arms, narrowing her eyes. No one had thrown accusations at Tony, and she had barely opened her mouth, why was he targeting her and Not-Quinn? "I'm Sofia Mancini. Still an Italian name, I'm pretty sure." She paused for a moment, gathering the details about herself that she'd learned from her card into her head. "I'm a baker. I pretty much make the best pastries in town." She closed her eyes for a moment and thought about her baking skills, picturing warm muffins and decadent chocolate chip cookies. Then she opened her eyes again, looking over at Luca Marino. She recalled their words about bad sides, and figured that she'd say something similar. "And no one better get on my bad side either."

To showcase that warm personality that everyone should know about her, Sofia added a large smile and a wink.

Noah knocked on the walls, loudly banging on the solid feature as hard as he could. Whatever he would've had in his hands, Noah would've put down on the ground as he announced yet another blackout. He had plans for this fun little situation, something he didn't do in the last few rounds. The lights went off, a gun reflecting in the light, the same old same old, but with one difference. Noah pulled out his wand, pointing towards the ceiling of the dark room, and he spoke the incantation just as he made the wand movement.

An unseen raincloud grew across the ceiling of the room, embracing the darkness. A little rumbling of thunder could be heard. It would've masked the sound or ricocheting of the nerf bullets if they were shot. Noah hid the wand back in his pocket and banged on the walls once again. "LIGHTS ON!" He would proclaim. As the lights flew on, the room remained shadowy, but enough light was present for visibility. Raindrops would fall, smelling like peppermint, and every thud of the raindrop on some surface enhanced and made the smell stronger.

Noah looked at the girl, seeing that she was shot. "Carlo, you're dead. Got shot in the torso! There's no returning, I'm sorry!" He said, "Fall on the ground, thank you!"

No need for a doctor so he just moved on. "Okay, sadly, I have to inform you that there has been no majority vote this round either. On the bright side, you all lasted this long! Pat yourselves on the back!"

Noah shot them a grin, now slightly pleased with himself with the fact that its raining on them.

Every mod post, you will notice that the light goes out every time there is a murder. The light stays out for 1 minute to allow the murderer to conceal the weapon in some way and to avoid suspicion. When the light goes out, you'll hear a bang from the nerf gun and if you feel yourself getting shot with a foam bullet, you have been killed. You may lay down on the ground and play dead. You may find a funny pose to be in, whatever. When the light goes back on, a vote will be held to accuse someone of the murder.

I've been accused of a murder! What do I do?
Well dearie, you would've been considered "executed" if the majority votes you as murderer. This means that you are out. The game is over when all of the players are dead except for the detective and murderer, or when the murderer has been accused and executed.

How do I vote?
Every round, you need to send me an owl of who you're voting or accusing. Additionally you MUST post otherwise your vote will be seen as invalid.

I did not post for a round or more, what happens? (if you don't send me your vote but post, it's okay, don't worry about it.)
The murderer will likely kill you the next round.

I'm the murderer! What happens now?
Post each round. Send me your target via owl. In Character, when the lights go out, you can pull out your nerf gun and shoot your target. You will have the rest of the minute to hide the gun or conceal it.

I'm the detective! What happens now?
Post each round. Send me your accused victim via owl. You cannot be killed.

I'm a doctor! What happens now?
Post each round. Send me your accused victim via owl. There will be a second blackout in the mod post in where you will have a CHANCE of healing the shot victim.

I was a shot victim! I was healed!
Good for you, you may continue in the game. However, one of your limbs have been ic AMPUTATED so in roleplay, you would not have that limb because the doctor amputated the shot limb.

What if I have to leave Out of Character and I'm the Murderer or a Doctor or a Detective?
That's fine, just please notify us at some point. We will owl another person and give them an additional "title" for their character that they are already playing. For example: Baker is now Murderer but still the same character, you don't gain another. When it comes to a detective and a doctor, unfortunately, we won't pass it on. The game continues until its over.

Please note: We are taking actions via owl so that actions and votes are anonymous to keep the mystery. What you choose to say or do in your post whether ooc or ic can be used against you so do your best to keep your "secret" role anonymous. If you are a detective or a murderer it can be used against you if you say it out loud. We suggest coming up with an undercover job to conceal the fact. Not required, you could be vague, but what you say and do whether oc or ic can be used against you.

Quinn frowned as she the lights went out. She hadn't been able to defend herself well. As the lights came back on she gasped in suprise. Minnie had been "shot". Well at least she knew it wasn't Minnie anymore. Quinn looked around the room. She didn't trust a few people.
"Well I am Dr. Giovanni Moretti. I help out at local orphanages so obviously it wasn't me. Oh and my name is pretty Italien if that is what your looking for." Quinn tried to make her voice sound like what she thought her charector would be. Turning to glare at Theo she said,
"So now that you've finished asking me dumb question could you ask some acually productive questions?" Quinn knew she was being a little rude but she was sour that people suspected her and that they were not getting anywere with these interagations. Besides maybe her charector was rude. Also even though Minnie was her friend in the game they apparently were kind of enemies. Quinn also suspected that Theo was the dectecive and was just trying to look like he wasn't as to not get killed. Though I guess he isn't Theo he's Tony DeLuca the "town mechanic". Quinn thought. Quinn wondered if her suspicions were right. At first she thought it was Minnie- or Carlo- But obviously she was wrong.

Ophelia dipped her head down when the lights went off. She heard the gunshot again, flinching. She realised that she'd squeezed her eyes shut. When she opened them, the lights had come back on and it was as if the world was back to normal... except, it wasn't. Minnie Duke, the Hufflepuff girl who Ophelia had met on many occasions, had been "shot" and was out of the game. Though that still left a considerable amount of people still in the game.

After a moment, Quinn-- or more accurately, Giovanni Moretti-- began speaking. She introduced herself, and started speaking about how she helped out at the local orphanages. But wait, isn't Giovanni also Sofia's enemy? Yes, Ophelia was pretty sure that was it. She bit down on the urge to let out a giggle. Of course luck would have it that she and her best friend at Hogwarts were assigned enemy roles. Taking a breath, Ophelia went back in character. She was Sofia, Sofia Mancini. And Dr. Giovanni Moretti was the one who'd spread rumors about her poisoning her wonderful pastries.

She narrowed her eyes at Not-Quinn, but didn't say anything. If she began spewing out accusations about Giovanni spreading rumors, it would only lead suspicion back to her, and that would be bad, considering one of the players had already proclaimed that she seemed suspicious. She looked around. Was there anyone left to introduce themselves in the game?

"Has everyone introduced themselves?"

When the lights came back on after another gunshot, Luca was shocked to see it actually hit. The unfortunate target however was poor Carlo. Such a kind soul yet the first to go. The world of black and white always seemed to lack favour for those who deserved good things. With a resigned nod, Luca (and Emily) bid Carlo farewell from the remainder of the game.

Everyone seemed to have a cold finger against Theo - or rather, Tony DeLuca - aside from Luca, everyone has voiced strong opinions about him. Some of them had even already claimed him to be the detective.

Responding to Sofia Mancini, Luca nodded. "Aside from our missing last guest, I believe so... Unless I'm wrong?"

Come on, Scoutie... Where are you? You're missing the action!

But what was at hand now was why Carlo? Why him first?

"At the risk of pulling the plaster off too early, does anyone want to share any suggestions why our dear teacher was the first to go down?" he asked bluntly. "I'm afraid I can't think off the top of my head why someone would want to go for a more softer soul, so perhaps some of you could enlighten the rest of the room...?"

In other, more private words, who would reveal enough as a motive to kill Carlo so Luca knew who to be careful of going forward. Now that the killer has struck, it's only a matter of time before it happens again.

The pitter pattering of the rain was so calming to him. He felt like it was the most unique experience he could have gone through. He took a deep breath, ignoring what was being said for a second and exhaled. He repeated the process a few times, allowing the peppermint smell to fill his nostrils. It was really.. minty and he was not complaining. It was kind of cool.

The Gryffindor elder had nothing much to say so he might as well begin, right? There were only six people standing in the group so far: Emily, Quinn, Ophelia, Theo, Boris, and Alejandro . This shouldn’t take too terribly long.. Right?

He slammed his hands onto the cold, hard walls with as much force as he possibly could, loud slapping noises, the skin peeling off of the wall as he retracted them. “It’s time to begin.”

The lights went out.

This time, the lights stayed out for approximately 3 minutes. When he felt it was time to turn back on the light, it was not without a look of cruel joy on his face. He looked at Boris and grinned. “I know you got shot. Your leg got shot. Your left leg to be exact. You cannot use your left leg now, it has been amputated, you must move around without using it.”

He sucked the air through his teeth. Well. Time to announce who the eliminated is? Nah, no one is out. They’re still in. “Guys, no one has voted anyone out. There has been no majority.”

The lights went out. This time, somebody did die; Carlo Bianchi. He was shot through the torso. What did the killer have against him?
Quinn finally spoke and claimed herself as Dr. Giovanni Moretti. Sofia claimed that she was a baker. Theo said that he was a mechanic named Tony Deluca. The other kid, I don't know his name was Maria Romano, a merchant.
The most detectivey person was obviously Tony. I still think it might be Luca but grudge can be a strong thing.
My heart pounded like a drum. This game started a bit slow but now it was in full swing.

The room turned black before I had time to comment on that round. I felt water touch my skin as a
"Does anyone know if someone had a grudge or a conflict with Carlo or Maria?" I addressed the whole group. That was the most obvious way to find a murderer. The killer would have something to gain by disposing of their enemy or rival.
"I personally didn't have anything against any of them." I continued defending myself. Of course I didn't. I'm a bartender I don't have any reason to kill a teacher or a random merchant.

The whole room went quiet when the lights revealed Maria with a "gunshot" to the leg. With or without grudges with either Maria, Carlo or both, their aim was slowly getting better and was clearly trying to prove a point.

Despite Luca's earlier attempt at a gentle nudging to to try and bait the shooter out by prying out information with an open question to the group, the others remained quiet, either out of ignorance or with a strong hold to keep whatever silent motivations they had between them to themselves. Luca figured it would more than likely be the latter.

Tony DeLuca then sprouted up with a whole argument. Luca tried to follow along, though felt there were some holes in his story.

"A rather extensive length to take, shooting yourself in your own leg, don't you think?" he asked, slightly sceptical of the notion. "Surely in pain, they would've had to try and hide the gun all while tending to their newly gained gunshot hole."

Having Maria be the killer left a lot to consider; the pure courage it takes to shoot oneself, strangling back a cry as it happens, the sound of her falling to the ground, trying to conceal the weapon before the lights came back on... It just didn't sound right to Luca. At the risk of sounding like a "detective," Luca couldn't help but pick apart at the story with some of his own logic.

"That still doesn't lead us any clearer to any motives. A trigger is never pulled without good reason, and I reckon all of us here are level-headed enough to not be psychopaths."

Luca turned back to Maria. "One thing at a time... Who here in this room knows how to heal injuries like this?"

Another round, another loop. Noah decided he would walk up to each present person in the group and ask them if they each want a mocktail. Sure, it was not real, nor cocktail, but still a drink nevertheless if not spicy at that. He looked at some of them through the pouring rain and could not help but feel slightly pitiful, only to crack a wicked smile, a Jim Carey grinch smile.

It was time to begin, and Noah was prepared. This time, he wasn't going to use his arms, but instead his shoes. He sat down on the ground to undo his shoelaces and slide the now-untied shoes off of his feet and he stood up to face each of them, his foot visible. He held onto the eyelet of the shoe and slammed the soles onto the walls as hard as he could, a louder bang, a louder slap. "LIGHTS OFF!" He proclaimed, again announcing the lights being turned off for the reason they would all come to know at this point. It was time for the murder.

A minute passed and the lights turned on.

It made his heart happy to hear the molded orange plastic hit their target, whoever the Murderer was aiming at. He looked at where the bullet fell and followed it up to the nearest person, seeing where it hit them. Now, he was not sure, but he figured he'd at least trust them. He'd get to do a doctor phase again.

Again, he used his shoes and slammed them onto the walls to signify yet another lights out. He gave the doctor 30 seconds to go over, and Noah kept close attention. An additional 30 seconds was added as Noah quickly rushed over to say to the victim that they were dead. He ran back over to the wall to signify that the lights were coming back on.

The Jim Carrey smile struck his face again as he stared back. "None of you have been voted out. Congratulations, there is still a killer hiding amongst us, find them and eliminate them."
