Quidditch Slytherin vs Ravenclaw - Fall 2024

Uri was telling himself it couldn't get much worse but that was probably a lie. He was just there in the match like that John Travolta gif, confused and unsure what to do. He was happy to be getting a little game time but he wasn't sure what to do with it. Those Slytherins looked big and mean and he was pretty sure any bludger they shot at him would simply break him in half.

The beautiful golden hair boy had come at her first, what was she supposed to do? Not defend herself? She was sick and tired of men walking all over her, thinking they owned her because she gave them a scrunchy or deciding to poison her for three and a half years-- IT DIDN'T MATTER. The guy had it coming.

Percival was not too sure what he exactly looked like at the moment. Mouth stretched in a crazy grin and his eyes lit up with a taste for blood. Hungry. It was an echoing word that reverberated throughout his entire body. Filling him with rage and pure blistering joy. A laugh fell from his lips as he knocked another blue coat down. Smirking with self-righteousness as he watched them disappear. Knocked away like little flies. So caught up in his musings he did not notice the bludger until it came careening into his ribs. Percival let out a gasp slipping off his broom as he gripped his side. His descent would be a short one, as he was suddenly grabbed. Looking up Percival could not help but stare at Avery with a mixture of surprise and boring irritation at who saved him. As he was returned to his broom he would sigh, and reluctantly say "Thanks."

1. In the role of Beater, if you hit an opponent with a bludger the bludger will then ricochet off that user and target a second opponent of choice (must be declared, if not declared the target will be random and can be an ally but not yourself).

2. In the role of Beater, if an ALLY dodges a bludger during the round, there is a 20% chance that you catch that bludger with your bat and you send it at a RANDOM enemy target.

3. In the role of Beater, if you critically hit with a bludger, instead of doing double-damage you do 2.5x damage. If you critically fail with your bludger attempt to hit, rather than having your bludger randomly target another user (including yourself or an ally) the bludger cannot target you on a critical fail (but it can still target your allies). On a re-target, there is a random roll for target and then a fresh accuracy roll.

As more and more Eagles fell from the sky, picked off one by one by those lousy Snakes, it began to set in that in mere moments, Maeve would be taking to the sky, stepping into the shoes of her very impressive elders. Thrilling—horrifying, just a little bit, but thrilling nonetheless. Although she couldn't have been further from prepared for this moment, excitement began to bubble over the nerves as she eagerly anticipated taking to the sky.

SEEKERS

It was a mad dash for the finish line. By going for those quaffle grabs, this had allowed Ravenclaw a chance to spot the snitch, and now both seekers were reaching desperately to grasp the win for their team. Aly would employ Uri, who had only recently taken to the air, to alley-oop her closer to the snitch. He'd use his strength to try and hurl her closer to the snitch, but she would find it would just slip through her fingers. Dan would be following close behind, and where Aly would miss, he would succeed, clutching the snitch in his hand.

Mellani is blurting Aly Did not post. Aly is being alley-ooped (no pun intended - well, maybe) by Uri. Dan is catching the snitch.

BEATERS

Slytherin wouldn't be finished however. Ulysses had been protecting Dan for majority of the game, despite him never being targeted, whilst Avery would keep watching out on save duty. Percival would line up a clean shot to target both Aly and Maeve. The hit on Aly wouldn't enough to take her down and she'd stay flying, however the hit on Maeve would be enough to send the girl tumbling. She'd been waiting for another of her teammates to fall - so the fact she did must've taken her by surprise.

During this, Winnie, Maggie and Koko could only watch as they completed their penalty laps, as the referee blew the whistle to end the game. "And the snitch has been caught! Congratulations to Slytherin!"
