Ash had decided that it was time to become a chainsaw, Mylo couldn't quite believe how loud he was getting as although he was surrounded by other animals and people he didn't know Ash seemed to not care in the slightest any more and instead focused on the scratches that Mylo was so generously supplying.

As Emily introduced herself Mylo watched as the owl started climbing up her face, it seemed like it could be a bit painful although the other student was not giving away that impression in the slightest.

"Oh, yeah. There can imagine that there were so many cute animals to choose from, but I can see what you mean. She's very cute and quite funny." Mylo said in response to Emily's remark. And as Reyna spoke up about her dog Mylo couldn't help but shake the feeling that they recognised her from somewhere. "Oh you have a dog? What are they like?" He asked, always happy to talk about peoples pets, when it suddenly hit them. During a snowball fight last year, he was pretty sure she had been there too. "Sorry, my memories not too great. Last year there was a snowball fight, were you there as well? I think I remember you." He asked, a little nervous but the nerves immediately being calmed by the small chainsaw that was situated on their lap.

Emily still managed to keep a straight face despite the weight of her fluffy buddy atop of her noggin. She could feel Tavra shift a little bit as she preened and settled herself, her ribbon sliding slowly down her ponytail that was threatening to fall out. Emily giggled through her antics as she continued to converse with her classmates.

"Tavra's name was a bit of an obscure choice, I'll admit. I wanted to go for something a little more different than the usual pet names. It just started out testing out a bunch of different sounds until I eventually came up with 'Tavra' both out loud and in my head. For some reason, I liked it...! In a way, it's perfect for my owl. The name itself is unique, and Tavra herself is very much so. Nothing more suitable than that, I reckon!"

She tickled Tavra again before her finger was chased away by her beak. It was then that Reyna talked about owning a dog.

"Ooh! You have a dog too? Man, it sounds like you have a whole family of animals back home! And I can definitely see how close you and Genie are...! The fact that Reyna sounds like she's grown up with animals nearly all her life made Emily only a tad bit jealous. She was a big animal lover herself, which she was sure the other two could tell by now, but the fact she was only able to have a pet just recently felt like she was contradicting her own statement.

"Oh? There was a snowball fight?" Emily turned curiously to Mylo now that they had briefly changed the topic and laughed. "Hm... I didn't realise there was one. I was probably buried in a hundred books in the library when that happened...!"

Reyna seemed to be interested in why peopled named their pets the way they did, and it was quite something intriguing to think about. "To be honest it's cause he looks a bit ashy." Mylo said with a little chuckle. "He's a black cat but when I looked closer it seemed to be a bit dull, although now he's growing a bit more the black is starting to darken so I think that must have just been in his young kitten phase." He added hoping that she would find that an acceptable answer.

As the two other girls talked a bit more about Reyna's dog, she seemed to have grown up with a lot of animals which Mylo may or may not have been a bit jealous of, he noticed that Ash was starting to fuss a bit. Bringing their hand down onto the cat they hoped to calm them down a bit.

"Being burried in a hundred books doesn't sound like too bad of a position to have been in if I'm being honest." They chuckled, happy to know that the other two seemed to like reading a lot too.

Reyna suggested doing another snowball fight, which kind of intrigued Mylo, he had enjoyed the last one and wouldn't mind doing it again. "That sounds fun, I enjoyed it last time. Although I'm not too sure Ash here would be as please to be having to dodge potential snowballs coming his way." Seemingly at the mention of his name Ash decided they would bite Mylo, and luckily it wasn't too hard although it was hard enough to get Mylo's attention. Looking down at Ash Mylo knew he was getting hungry and unfortunately they hadn't brought anything with them to feed him, and Ash was under no circumstances a hunter, he would probably end up catching his own tail if left to his own devices.

"Hey, I'm sorry. Ash here is getting a bit hangry and I don't have any of his proper food on me at the moment. It was really nice talking to you guys but I'm going to go and get this guy fed before he decides to start eating me or goes off in a huff. I'll see you guys around!" He said, letting Ash decided if he wanted to hop back into their hood or if he wanted to walk besides Mylo, the cat choosing the latter which Mylo was actually happy about as it meant they didn't have to worry about their ears being bitten. Giving the two others and their pets a wave he started making his way back to the castle, knowing that Ash would follow them there.

"Aurum... A unique and spectacular name!" Emily grinned as Reyna chatted on. For some reason dogs always had the best names. Well, that was Emily's opinion. Then again she did have a neighbour once who had a pet snail called Asphalt back when she was very wee and that always tickled little Emily's funny bone every time he was brought up in conversation.

Then there were the conventional, but otherwise cute and fitting names; like Mylo's cat. Emily watched Ash as he did his own thing, though clearly looking like something was on his mind. Most likely food. Well, Emily could only assume since it was usually 70% the reason when animals got a bit restless. Tavra was a whole case of her own, however; she would make it known that she wanted food by decorating her nest in a twiggy mess.

After a nice chat about the aforementioned snowball fight, it was inevitable then that Mylo took notice of Ash's need for snackies. Emily could only nod and laugh, completely understanding of the situation.

"I know the feeling. Tavra here would have the armchair pecked clean when she's looking for nibbles," she said. "Don't let us stop you!" She gave a little wave to Ash. "Take care of yourself, Ashy...!"

Mylo bid their farewell as they and Ash took off in search of food, leaving Emily and Reyna to chat some more before Tavra started lightly picking at Emily's jumper.

"You as well, eh?" Emily smirked as she soothed Tavra with a pet to her tummy. Emily stood up with her owl cosying up in her palms.

"I think it's time I went and fed this little glutton before she pecks the entire school down looking for grub. But I'm sure we'll see each other again soon! Maybe if there's another snowball fight the next time it snows, I'll peek my head out of my book and watch!"

She waved at Reyna and Genie before she herself took off to find food for Tavra.
