Eonaria stood in the library, marveling at the grand bookshelves and the cozy atmosphere. It was almost bigger than the one at home, so surely there must be many fascinating, new books for her to read. Contrary to her belief, she did not leave her schedule in her trunk yesterday: she didn't have a schedule at all. She had ten days to get to know Hogwarts first, so she might as well spend it doing something fun. Eonaria stepped curiously into one of the aisles, beginning to examine the book titles. "Great Wizards of the Twentieth Century.." she read aloud quietly. "Hogwarts, A History... eh. I'm pretty sure I've read most of this section. And I've seen them at Flourish and Blotts, too..." She flushed in embarrassment when she heard her voice echo through the library. It seems she had underestimated her volume. She resolved to be quieter and continued browsing thoughtfully.

Further down, she finally found one that sounded interesting: "Dragon Species of Great Britain and Ireland." Eonaria definitely wasn't going to become a dragon tamer(yeesh, fire), but she had always liked learning about magical creatures. Perhaps this book could provide her some more extensive insight to the wonderful, winged... reptiles.

Eonaria took the book to one of the smaller tables and set it down before pausing. Did she have to check the book out? Well, it's not like she was going to take it out of the library, unless it was so fascinating she spent a longer time looking at every single word for the details. Eonaria glanced around her, spotting no librarian's desk in her immediate sight, and decided she would look later. It would be a bit embarrassing to walk around half the library and just return to the desk without having done anything productive. She shrugged, sat down, and began to read.

...wait. Don't library books have curses on them? Sometimes. Suddenly struck with a bit of wariness, Eonaria looked suspiciously at the book in her hand before awkwardly getting back up to go find the librarian. Hopefully it wasn't too far... Eonaria ventured nervously through the endless shelves and began searching. After a minute or two, she finally spotted it.

After checking out the book, she headed back to the tables along the walls and began to read her book in peace, unplagued by potential curses. :)

Yolanda wandered into the Library for the first time, reveling at how enormous it was. Her hometowns’library was only one large long room… This library was incredible!

She tried walking quietly, scanning the odd assortment of books. Odd to a muggle born that is...

A voice rang out, “"Hogwarts, A History... eh. I'm pretty sure I've read most of this section. And I've seen them at Flourish and Blotts, too..."

Startled she looked around – viewing a Gryffindor girl. The girl looked embarrassed at her own voice; she had spoken softly but the silent room carried sounds quite far.

She looked away trying not to stare. Yolanda had come in to look for the, “Dragon Species of Great Britain and Ireland.” She had just now heard of Dragon’s and was highly interested on the topic. Maybe she could help, study, or even tame Dragons! Yolanda’s imagination started to run wild as she scanned around for the book.

Finally she asked the librarian about the book who told her it had just been taken out.

Sighing Yolanda started to give up when she noticed the same Gryffindor girl at the table - reading the book she was looking for!

*cough* “Hey there, cool book, I was… looking for it… but not that you didn’t get it first fair and square!” she was rambling, she started again, “Cool book, I’d been looking for that exact one! My names Yolanda, do you mind letting me know when you’re finished with it? Maybe send me an Owl?”

She pulled out her pen and small notepad – which she always kept on her – and scribbled her name in messy, yet readable, writing.

*Yolanda Yates* it read.

“And if you need anything let me know, I’m new too but starting to get a hang of Hogwarts. It’s really fun!”

She hoped she hadn’t been too bold. She gave the girl a smile and a wave and wandered over back to the librarian to check out another book.

Eonaria was happily burying herself in the intricacies of dragons when she heard a voice cough awkwardly before speaking. "Hey there, cool book, I was… looking for it… but not that you didn’t get it first fair and square! Cool book, I’d been looking for that exact one! My names Yolanda, do you mind letting me know when you’re finished with it? Maybe send me an owl?”

Eonaria stared wide eyed at her, not entirely sure what to make of it. Before she could reply, however, this girl named Yolanda pulled out a pen and notepad, writing out her name on it. "And if you need anything let me know, I'm new too, but starting to get a hang of Hogwarts. It's really fun!" And before Eonaria could comprehend this next set of fast paced words, Yolanda smiled, waved, and left.

She blinked puzzledly at the girl's retreating back, wondering if she should have jumped in and introduced herself as well, but this Yolanda had kinda left before she could, so... um... should she go after her...? Wouldn't that be weird? Eonaria decided to just go back to reading her book with a mystified expression on her face, and maybe she could find Yolanda when she was done and give her the book. Or should could send an owl, as suggested, but she kind of didn't have one. Eonaria mentally face palmed. She should have gotten one when she was shopping. But she was also pretty sure that Hogwarts had a one-pet policy, and she kind of wanted to save her allowance for one that she would want to keep forever... or at least for a few years, instead of getting an owl only for utility purposes. And anyway, she didn't need to send an owl! Provided that neither she nor Yolanda got expelled, she could just find her any old time.
