Prat stepped upto the piste once again, this event was becoming more frequent to his life than his other hobbies, some might even compare it with obsession. However much to his friend's relief he wasn't here to duel again right after his recent stretch of duelling every week. For someone who wasn't very good at this he sure had the enthusiasm for it. But atleast he was learning and had improved certainly from the time he started this.
This duel was one that didn't involve Prat. Two fellow snakes approached Prat to moderate their duel, not a common occurrence for Him.
As the two snakes stepped up ready to face one another, Prat deemed it necessary to word the common rules and and basic rundown as normal, similar to what he had witnessed Alyssea do several times prior. He was thinking back to a lot of moderators in his previous duelling as modding wasn't something he was much familiar to.
"Hello to both of you, before we start let me just give you a basic rundown" Prat said motioning with his arms "You guys are allowed to throw spells at each other or yourself until either one of you drops or forfeits. Physical attacks are not allowed, only spells. Goodluck!" He waved his hand and stepped back to let them start. Prat was looking forward to this, Duels were always fun to watch.

The Test ✨
The young Prefect strode into the familiar duelling area, feeling the cool air brush against his robes as the tension in the room danced with the lengthy shadows created by the flickering torches along the stone walls. To Atlas this was a test and stop along the way to the future he is striving for. The purpose for this duel was neither a glory or test of power but it was simply a test of skill.
Presently the Duelling area seemed to be bigger and spacious than usual. This might have been due to the fact that there were not a lot of spectators around and its size added significance to this exact moment. Each and every duel he had spectated was a learning experience, but this particular one held something significant to the young boy's story. It was intended to arm him for difficulties that would arise during duels and maybe when he encounters something at the school ball. The young Prefect felt his wand become tighter in his grip and this served as a reminder that, even with the knowledge he picked up from observing duels, there was still so much more to discover about magic.
The Slytherin Duelling Co-Captain waited somewhere in the distance and their stillness filled the room with a purposeful lack of words. It was about to go down. To Atlas, this was a test—unlike the other heated, frequently chaotic duels hehad observed. It was an opportunity for him to validate himself and not to others. He was familiar with the fundamentals, theory and spells. The real challenge would be in keeping his composure and mastery over the power he still didn't fully understand.
Prat’s voice cut through the silence as he greeted them and gave them a rundown of what is expected of him and the other participant. He had been preparing for this quietly pushing himself to get better. Knowing that dueling wasn’t just about raw skill—it was also about composure, strategy, and understanding one’s limits.
The boy nodded whilst he moved to the middle of the arena. He felt the same wave of expectation pass over him, but this time it brought focus instead of fear. This was only part of his personal experiment and little part of a bigger vision that would be revealed in the future. Regardless of the outcome of the duel, he would leave this duel one step closer to realizing his dream of becoming an adept young wizard.

“she wasn’t fragile like a flower, she was fragile like a bomb
It wasn’t common for Violeta to be heading to the Duelling Club. She wasn’t much of a Duellist, but she enjoyed Charms class more than other classes, she was a straight “O” student, after all. This was simply, well, a test of skill.
At first, she thought Quidditch wasn’t something she thought she’d like much, but she was actually quite enjoying practicing and all. She was only a second-string seeker after all, and she hadn’t actually attended any Quidditch matches, just watched them, but she was quite eager to actually play, well she probably wasn’t going to play, just yet, because she was still a second-string seeker.
She walked into te Duelling Club, the Co-Captain of the Slytherin Duelling Team and one of the Slytherin Prefects. The girl nodded to the two of them, keeping a straight face. She hated showing emotions, always had, always will. She looked down, wand in hand, then the Slytherin looked up again as the Co-Captain explained the rules. She already knew them, of course.
She was already in the ring, positioning herself, and when she was finally ready, well, that was her time to shine. She held her wand tightly, took a deep breath and the duel soon began. And when this was over, she would leave this duel one step closer to becoming the best young witch she could be.

As Prat explained both the participants what was expected of them along with the rules and regulations he was ready to witness a good duel. Wishing them both good luck and hoping for a fair fight he began the duel. Similarly the players did not disappoint as they both came out with an offensive spell for their first attack.
Atlas, the snake prefect went ahead with the intention of setting his opponent on fire almost immediately as Prat's hands went, almost as if he was prepared to test himself instead of the duellist standing against him. Even violeta's best efforts did not help her get away from the line of fire as the Incendio hit her square with it's full force. Going as far as to set her on fire while on the other hand Violet too came out with what she thought was best in her arsenal.
A Flipendo, target right as Atlas which she casted successfully but missed her target by some margin as he managed to escape the knock coming his way. While a good attempt it albeit ended up missing and lead Violet to nowhere, how she still had chances and the duel had just begun, Prat thought to himself.
The duel sure was entertaining so far and to be witnessing it up close was exciting in itself. Clasping his hands together, Prat wanted to make sure they were both still in as he questioned them "You both still good to go?"

Great, just great. Perfect. She was now aflame. Atlas, the Slytherin boy hit her with an Incendio. The bad part was that she had almost picked that spell, but instead, she picked a Flipendo, which she actually casted perfectly, but briefly missed the boy, her target. She then thought of archery, she loved doing that, one of her hobbies. Though her favorite hobby out of all of her many other hobbies was inventing, of course. It had always been inventing.
The girl nodded at the Duelling Co-Captain when he asked the two were still good to go. Of course she was, this was only the beginning of the duel, and she was just fine, not great, just fine, except for the fact that she was aflame. Other than that, she felt nothing, just fine.
Now it was time for the second round, which meant another spell. She thought of what she’d do this time and then… she smirked. That meant she knew what she’d do. She held her wand tightly, she was standing in perfect poise, as always, then it was her time to shine, again. Technically she always thought she was shining, pride, of course. She always had pride in herself. Ever since she was a little girl, and she liked this fact very much.
