Aston nodded along to Cass's explanation of the rules and got ready to start. The last "Try not to die." was slightly concerning, but screw it, he did sign up for this himself. It definitely had nothing to do with the fact Prat got him a broom for this.

He flew high on his broom with everyone else as Cass yelled out that the game was starting. Next thing he knew there was a bunch of rocks raining down. Aston watched the chaos, forgetting that he should do something, at least try to catch the rocks. (I forgot what action I took, nothing useful I think.) Cass and two people he doesn't recognise manage to catch a rock each. Pretty normal start, wait is spells and other stuff allowed here? That question was quickly answered by Cass's actions. They cast obscuro at some first year and successfully blinded him, though his fate was far from the worst. A few people tried, or did, cast incendio or some version of it at people and their brooms, a second year girl even straight up got hit and fell off her broom. She did get caught though, Cass and Prat planned this well, I still wonder how they pulled this off. This game is a lot more violent than I thought it would be...

Elena nodded at Cass's question, her face still split in a warm smile. "It's amazing, thanks again." She waved at Aston arriving, then everyone got in position. She took off, and immediatly felt the familiar sensation as the wind whipped her in the face, making her hair fly. She had always liked flying, even as a kid when her dad used to teach her on his old broom. She really liked quidditch, and was hoping to make it to the Ravenclaw team, if a spot was free.

Her train of thought got interrupted by a whistle, and Prat released the rocks, starting pure chaos. Immediatly, everyone started to fly around, atempting to catch one. She didn't go for the first one, trying to see how the others would do. A brown haired boy - Avery ? - caught it, snatching the victory from the impressing white haired girl and another boy. When the second wave got released, Elena dug in the air to try and catch it.

She was close, so close, but Cass was quicker. Muttering something under her breath, she nodded at them. "Old habits die hard, eh pancake thief ?" She chuckled. A rattling sound interrupted her and she quickly spun around to observe the flying pit. After a few seconds, she noticed the falling stone, and moved towards it, securing her cauldron. Unfortunately victory was stolen again, this time by the silver haired girl. Swearing under her breath and mentally scolding her, she raised herself a bit higher, sensing something coming.

And chaoes exploded. Spells were casted everywhere. She saw Cass casting a spell towards a boy who got his eyes blinded before he could react. On her right, a fire spell was cast, but it hit the boy and not the broom - at least she hoped the target was the broom -, Cass and another person managed to dodge a jinx by a swift broom move. But as she was looking at this chaotique ambience, she noticed someone - she couldn't tell who - flying at high speed towards the silver haired girl. Elena opened her mouth to shout a warning but the collision happened before any sound came out of her mouth. She gasped as the girl rushed towards the ground, luckily quickly taken care off by the healer.

Holding a dazed scoff, she noticed a familiar brown haired boy looking as shocked as her. She got to his level, feeling more comfortable next to someone she knew. "Pretty violent, huh ?" she said, tilting her head. And yet I can't wait for the secound round.

With the first round ending with Astra Avery and Cass each getting a rock, it had been fairly uninteresting until Elisa decided to set fire to Ernest, while Exciting Prat was a little worried for his friend about catching fire, not even a week after their duel. Fortunately it wasn't enough to get ernest away from the game.

Same could not be said for Aleks as Colin came in and knocked her off her broom, sending her tumbling down the windy lane of death by gravity if it wasn't for Alyssea catching her mid air and safely bringing her towards the stands.

With Crisis averted it was now time for the next round. Prat wanted to finished it as fast as possible before scurrying away and removing any sign of the game that was taking place. Everyone there could land in massive trouble and while Prat was no chicken, get in detention did not seem like a fun idea either. With everyone already taking their chosen places in air, he moved his wand once more. Lifting in air all the rock filled curtains as everyone seemed to hang on their breath in an attempt to gather more rocks faster than before. Perhaps the realisation of there being less participants and thus more trouble for each remaining one was coming to their mind.

As soon as the rocks dropped, a few of them shot out like arrow from a bow in order to grab their fare share. For the first two round it was Colin who managed to come out on top, between which he found enough time to get hit by Cass's incendio even setting him on fire, Only for Cass to get an attack coming their own way as Elisa fired off a flipendo in quick time, sending Cass hurling, however even with that amount of damage they somehow managed to save their neck when Ernest came for their head, Barely holding onto the broom until their threat passed over. Aston had somehow landed a rock in his cauldron while at the same time Ernest decided to set Elisa on fire, only, he missed so bad he ended up setting himself on fire. Seeing the commotion perhaps Colin in his attempt to help turned Ernest's broom into dead fish. Maybe he was hoping some water would appear with them. Unfortunately for Ernest, Aston was already mid assault on Ernest when it happened as Ernest was sent flying.

Deciding it was enough of Colin's antics, Astra accio'ed his broom, summoning it to herself as it slipped from right under Colin as he now felt what it was like to fall in style. Avery seeing this as his chance to remove competition now had his sight set on Astra who in her delight of taking out Colin did not anticipate Avery until it was too late, even going as far as throwing an unorthodox move did not save her as she want sent down.

Irina witnessed as Alyssea and Prat successfully took down the falling player to a slow descent, ensuring their safety, afterwards Prat looked at Ernest who was one more fire away from being a well done Goblin in his eyes. Perhaps now was the time for all those healing potions to come in handy.

Colin catches the first rock

As the rock shower began all around the players, Prat made an attempt to look at all of them, as they ran around attempting to catch some for themselves. Colin the horror furboy from snakes was the first one to get his hands on some of that as he left behind every one else,stealing that rock which could've almost been Astra's possession.

This time too Cass managed to position their cauldron under a falling rock, however luck could only benefit them so much before Aston swooped in and ruined their chances. Perhaps karma was real as he went on to suffer the same way she had thwarted Cass's attempt at scoring for themselves. Right before he could collect in Colin once again swooped in right above her, the rock rattling in his cauldron.

Aston catches the third rock

This time the situation changed as Colin who looked like he might have gone 3/3 on rocks for round 2 found his direct match up in Elisa, while a battle of endurance and dexterity for both of them, it turned out to be an opportunity for everyone else , and Aston was the one who managed to take it home as he slightly got an edge over both of them who had left everyone else behind already.

On the opposite end was Avery, who seemed like he had just given up on collecting anything in this round.

Cass seemed to not have forgotten Colin's attempted attack on them in the first round , clutching their wand once again Cass fired off Incendio at him, hitting him square in the chest as Colin was set on fire for with the shoulder of his shirt not turning crisp.

Astra on the side had decided to add onto Colin's misery, getting behind his alit self and summoned his broom right from between his legs, sending Colin free falling like a fish in air before the backup make believe nurse student grabbed him out of the air and pulled him aside.

Elisa decided to end Cass this round, clearly thinking if she can't gather rocks, best bet is to eliminate those who have. Throwing that flipendo at Cass as they both swerved around in air, Cass could've almost gotten away had it not been Elisa's superior accuracy that Cass could not escape, the hit was enough to throw them away in the air but somehow they had managed to keep themselves in the air.

Ernest's Broom turns into Fish after which he falls to the ground in style.

Ernest's part in the game came to an end even before Colin's, the whitehaired had decided to turn Ernest's broom into a dead fish, and for the moment he need some of his best evasion, lady luck failed Ernest as he dived broom first into Colin's spell. Turning his broom into a fish, everyone witnessed another fall from an already Tired looing Ernest who seemed like he went through hell already.

In an effort to payback Elisa for round 1, Ernest decided to be meaner about it, attempting to hit Elisa with an Incendio Duo but his focus wavered as he ended up setting himself on fire and burning through his apparel.

Ernest had seen what Colin did to Aleks, in an effort to have fun of his own He picked his next target, the slytherin duelling captain as he came fast and hit the brown haired one surprisingly well, sending them tumbling only for them to somehow maintain their grip on the broom and get back up, astonishing even some of the participants and audience.

Avery caught on pretty quick as he came after Astra with a motivation, coming ruthlessly at her Astra might have nearly dodged if it wasn't Avery's quick wit that helped him adjust to the situation and succeed at his attempt on sending Astra down to touch some grass.

Aston somehow decided that most worse for weary contestant was his choice of target, coming after an already downtrodden Ernest, Aston dealt the final blow, hard enough to ruin any stability Ernest had even after setting himself on fire, down went the Baird as Prat caught him mid air with his spell, Another player saved from gravity.

"YEEEP!!" Colin squeaked happily as he ducked under one of the flying rocks! He twisted his body around gracefully and turned his head just a bit.

THONGNGNGNG!!

Colin's first stone banged along the inside of the cauldron like a gong! Colin laughed! This game was so much fun! He waggled his broom back and forth, making the rock inside bang against the wall of the cauldron. He caught sight of another rock a little way distant. Colin turned and shot over towards it. He dove low, then shot up!

THANGNGNGNG!!

"YESS!" he cried, and in celebration of two rocks safely banging around in his cauldron, Colin drew out his wand again! Zooming around the pitch, he caught sight of Clark Jr. "Oi! He called out to the younger Slytherin boy. "Piscifors!" Colin laughed merrily as poor Ernest's erstwhile broom transfigured into a dead fish!

WHOOOSH!

A stream of fire shot straight towards Colin's chest! Cass was dead ahead, wand pointing straight at Colin! Colin couldn't help but appreciate the finesse of the cast as his shirt began to burn to a crisp! "Drat!" he said, as he wriggled out of the smouldering remains. "Remind me not to bother with a shirt next time! I --- what!? Crapcrapcrap!!"

Colin looked around him quickly for the source of the new attack! Someone was yanking his broom out from under him! He kept trying to grab at it, but the shaft kept disappearing from between his legs! "Welp! Nothing for it!" Just as he began to pitch forward, Colin undid the strap holding the clanging cauldron to his head and and tossed that aside! There was no sense going down with a sinking cauldron, and so with arms outspread, Colin began his stylish descent towards the quidditch pitch!
