Andrew Vance ❖ 7th Year ❖ Slytherin
Andrew's first Hogwarts pet, purchased from the Magical Menagerie. Cheeky, chonky and cuddly, she captured the hearts and food and possessions of many, even cats and non-rat lovers, during Andrew's first three years at Hogwarts. A truly special and magical companion, she lived a whopping seven years, loved by Andrew, together until the end.

ocarina
Purchased from a Muggle antique store over the summer of 2020. Largely self-taught, Andrew brought his ocarina with him to Hogwarts at the start of his third year, playing it religiously by the Lake to hone his skill. Learning of Merpeople and their language, he believes music is an essential part of communicating with them.

Amelia “Amy” Bertram
wife · 09.30.2003 · 5’3” · half-blood · Ministry Level 4 employee
faceclaim ◆ Angourie Rice
Her mother, Camilla Bertram, worked for the German Ministry of Magic, specializing in Muggle Relations. Her father, Joseph Pineda, was a No-Maj truck driver from the States. Both of her parents were wanderlusts with jobs that facilitated a life of travel, her mother all over the world, her father across the country. During a hitchhiking stunt across the States, her mom met her dad when he gave her a lift in his truck, and the rest was history. Her dad was one of the few good ones who didn’t run away after finding out his girlfriend was a witch. He came from a superstitious Catholic household, and cherished his wife’s magic as the “good” sort to keep the bad luck and evil spirits away.
Amelia and her younger sister, Nichole, were born in Laredo, Texas, in the childhood house of her father, her mother's at-home births attended by dozens of the Pineda clan. Inconspicuously half Mexican, Amelia takes strongly after her German roots, dotted with several traces of Veela ancestry on her mother’s side that shine through her fair complexion. Danielle, on the other hand, was dark-haired and brown-eyed, and after thirteen years of homeschooling was dubbed a Squib, raised primarily by their dad in the States. Amelia by their mom, half raised in Germany where the wizarding Bertram family resided.
She lived in Germany while attending Durmstrang, her mother’s school. After five years at Durmstrang, Amelia transferred to Beauxbatons for the remaining three, living with her maternal aunt in Italy. Pursuing a career in Non-Human Relations, she decided to work at the British Ministry of Magic for initial experience while bonding with a few of her father’s relatives in England, though she planned on moving back to the States to work at MACUSA and be closer to her sister in California.
Her parents were common-law married, Camilla retaining her maiden name, to avoid any legal complications between magical and non-magical governments. Amelia was given the surname Pineda until her first sign of magic changed it to Bertram, binding her to the magical side of the family.
Her mother’s side, the Bertrams, have a dark, tainted history of being racial supremacists and elitists who supported the Nazi regime as a means to exterminate their enemies, both “undesirable” Muggle and wizard alike. Their bloodline was nearly wiped out by the vengeful German communities after World War II, but the name continued to stand tall and proud as the Bertrams fled to other countries and eventually returned to their homeland, though never to the same pinnacle of spotlight as they were before, shunned by most circles of high-class society today. Their house sigil is the golden eagle.
