Your Character's HIO Trading Card -α- Limited Alpha Print Run! Open

WHAT DO I GET?

All cards get:

• A Rank score and Potential score, ranging between 1.0 up to 10.0 on your card, which gives a rough, overall indication of your character's current and potential future prowess.
• A custom pen-and-watercolor artwork of your character against a transparent background. The artwork is either based on your face-claim or restylized and retouched art based on an existing image you provide.
• A fitting moniker for your character like "MONICA, bane of Hogwarts" or "PETER, cookie-thief"
• A custom-made flavor text that fits your character's card, or submit your own.
• A fitting quote that your character has said, or thought, IC. Alternatively you can submit a quote you'd like to have featured on the card instead.
• A unique serial number.
• By popular request an image of your card. For this alpha series of cards, the cards will be cream-colored and feature a black border.

If you only want the card and do not want to be part of the game, you will receive:

Reducio

• A large BBCode card design of your character. I will have looked at your character and given them a fictional score of their overall ability. Additionally, your card may feature a longer flavor text than a playable card. There is a little more room to customize the look of your card too, though options are still limited.

If you opt-in to the playable game, you will receive:

• Two variants of your character card. One "common" version with a mintage of 10 copies, and one "Premium" version (more powerful, but costlier) with a mintage of 3 copies in total.
• Of the common variant 5 will be registered as yours and 5 will remain available by other to buy from my store.
• Of the premium variant 2 will be registered as yours and 1 will remain available by others to buy from my store.
• A BBCode for your card collection so you can display your card collection on your ency or elsewhere! Whenever you buy more cards you can send me the BBCode of your collection and I will update your BBCode accordingly to add your latest purchases.
• BONUS: Your card will be made into a pretty image for the playable game*. Customization of the card look will likely be limited, but some customization may be available. It is also at this point that we will together decide on any special effect(s) that your card has in the game and what your card's Full Potential activation trigger is (don't worry if that sounds like gibberish at the moment, it will be more clear once the game mechanics and rules are fleshed out, tested and released.)

GRADING

The score or grade of your character will consist of three numbers:

• A Rank (🅡) score which gives an overall indication of your character's current power. This score is a snapshot of your character at this time in their student career. You can resubmit for a re-grade in a year's time to mint a new, updated card for your character!
• A Low Potential score which gives the lower bound of your character's future potential (how powerful they'll be in their prime).
• A High Potential score which gives the upper bound of your character's future potential (how powerful they'll be in their prime).

• Decide if you want 'Just A Card' (5g) or 'Card and Game' (10g)

The current series is: 𝗔𝗟𝗣𝗛𝗔 𝗦𝗘𝗥𝗜𝗘𝗦 (α) which is denoted by a letter "A" at the start of the serial number. This series of cards will be of VERY limited mintage, making them highly collectible.

Please note, the 𝗔𝗟𝗣𝗛𝗔 𝗦𝗘𝗥𝗜𝗘𝗦 (α) will feature additional, common cards beyond A0016. These will be non-player cards in order to bring the game into a playable state. So while I cannot currently predict how high the serial number might ultimately go, I do guarantuee that only these 16 slots will ever be used for player character cards in this series.

RULES

I apologize for the long list of rules, but these are in place to set the right expectations and prevent any potential OOC issues. Furthermore, I am protective of the visual style of the cards because the visual coherence of the cards matters to me. Please read these rules carefully before submitting a mint request.

Reducio

• Please allow several days for your card to be made.
• RL faceclaims, realistic faceclaims or photos of your faceclaim will not be featured on the card but will be converted to an art style that is visual cohesive with the other cards.
• The base design of the card itself will not be altered in order to maintain a standardized, cohesive look among all HIO cards. Therefore the unique elements of your card are the score you get, the artwork and the flavor text.
• By submitting an order, you confirm that you will not get upset about your grade or otherwise cause OOC drama related to the score your character has been given. If you are unhappy with your score or card for any reason at all, you can simply reject the card, no questions asked and I will not ask for payment. However, your serial number will then also be made available again for someone else to order.
• You understand and acknowledge that the younger your character is, the lower your character's score is likely to be. Your character is not The Chosen One.
• You understand that you may not duplicate the BBCode design of the card as-is and claim it as your own.
• You understand that the BBCode version(s) of your character card will likely not display correctly on mobile devices.
• You understand that your character's card will only be part of the playable game if you explicit state to opt-in in your request. However, once permission is given this permission can not be revoked.
