Camp was coming to an end, and Stephen was a little sad about it, but also eager for everything that lay ahead. It had gone so much better than he could have ever hoped, with the annoying exception of the Durmstrang Quidditch match, but that disaster aside, it had been a splendid four weeks. Best of all, things were good, really good, between him and EmmaLee, and even if everything else had gone awry, that alone would have made the trip to London worth it.

He had signed up for the Enchanted Gift Exchange that first day, and had been working on his gift for the past two weeks. All in all, he was rather pleased with it. He hoped the recipient would like it as he knew nothing about them really. Today was the day of the big reveal, so he had brought his gift in a box that looked like it could have held a mug, but a mug is definitely not what was inside, though there was at least one similarity between that and his gift.

As he entered the festive tent, he saw a table piled high with many unopened gifts, and he went over to set his box down. It was wrapped only in parchment paper and had twine that wrapped around it that made a nice, rustic bow. Through that he had slipped a fresh pine branch with some winter berries and made sure the tag was attached. Others were sitting around the room, smiling and laughing as they showed each other their gifts. He looked over the pile of gifts on the table and found one with his name on it. It looked sort of like a poster container and he was already excited right out of the gate.

He walked over and sat at the end of one of the sofas and eagerly tore open one end and tilted the cylinder so the contents would slide out. It took a few shakes and pounding on the other end to coax it out, but out it finally came. He set the cylinder down next to him and unfurled the gift. Turns out he had it upside down when he unrolled it, but even before he had it turned around to the proper position, he knew he was stoked to get back to his dorm room and hang it up. It was a wonderful space collage, and had a great schematic of the space shuttle that caught his attention immediately.

He looked over every square inch in the hope that maybe there might be a hint as to who it was from, because he would have loved to have thanked them, but alas, there was nothing. He had left no clue on his gift to his recipient either. That had sounded like such an intriguing mystery up until this moment, but now that knew that he wished he knew who had spent their time on him, it was sitting leass easily with him. Would his gift recipient wish the same or be happy for the secret? He would likely never know, but he decided to get up and look around at the gifts already open and those hanging on the walls. Before looking at anything else, he took his handsome poster over to a gallery wall and Expomised it with the others so that it could be admired like everything else others had created.

Who knew. Maybe as he looked at everyone else's creations, the person his gift was meant for might just happen in and he could get a first hand reaction unbeknownst to them.

That would be out of this world.

Mylo was so proud of what they had made for this exchange, they had thought about playing it safe and doing a drawing but had ultimately decided to broaden their horizons a bit and do something different but still creative. So they really hoped that the person who got it would like it. It had also made them a little curious as to what would be given to him, although Mylo knew they would love whatever it was.

Walking into the hall Mylo could see a few others with their presents already, which looked really cool and they all looked really happy with them, which in turn made Mylo happy. Looking around they could still see quite a few presents so he went on a little hunt to find the one that was meant for them. Finally looking at a package wrapped in green wrapping paper having found the one for them.

Taking the package Mylo went to sit down and started to open it, getting more curious by the second with what it was. As all of the paper was discarded of Mylo found themselves holding a brown journal with a lovely clasp. It was a gorgeous book, with a very nice soft cover but no discernable writing on the front. Thinking it was a writing journal Mylo opened it, as you do with books, and was very surprised to find it full of writing. And not just any writing, this journal was full of facts about both the muggle and the magical world.

Feeling pure excitement coming over them Mylo couldn't help but start to fidget, so happy with the book as they loved to learn new things and even though they were born in the muggle world there were a lot of facts here that they didn't know about and even more facts that they didn't know about the magical world. Reading through a few of the pages he came across so many fun facts, mostly about the magical world and Mylo loved that so much.

Closing the book back up they held it in their hands, wondering who had gifted this to them and how they had known this would be a perfect gift. It was one of the facts the book unfortunately didn't hold, but Mylo knew they were okay with that. But they still would have loved to know the gifter so that he could express their gratitude.

Deciding to sit here for a bit longer they opened the book again and started reading a few more of the facts.

Zophyr wasn't sure what exactly it was he was signing up for when he decided to take part in the Enchanted Exchange. That maybe might possibly perhaps have to have done with the fact that he hadn't actually read everything there was to read when he signed up, because, well, reading was boring and he had other things to do. But it was nearing the end of summer camp, and Zophyr had wanted to end it with a bang. Whether that was a firework kind of bang or a flipendo kind of bang, he hadn't known yet (hm maybe he should have read everything, actually), but a bang was a bang.

As it turned out, reading the (not-so-) fine print really wasn't all that necessary, because Zophyr managed to pull off what was needed in time, creating a gift for his secret gift receiver. Well, "creating," because that wasn't exactly the correct word for his gift, but it worked, and he hoped the person getting it today would appreciate it.

It took him a while to find his own gift. There were presents everywhere, and not all of them were big and visible, let alone had big and visible names. But he found it, a small box-shaped thing, all wrapped up. The excitement hit him like a ton of bricks, and he tore the wrapping open to find... a book? So much for not reading all that text when he signed up. Except... this was different. It had a lock (this was always good news, because it meant either lockpicking or keeping things safe from others), it was made of really nice leather, and there were super pretty engravings and stones on the front.

Once he opened it, Zophyr was amazed to find that it was not, in fact, just a book, but a journal, with pages to write in but also all sorts of pockets to put all sorts of things in. His jaw genuinely dropped, ecstatic at his gift. It was so well thought-out and absolutely magnificent - he looked around to see if anyone was watching him, just in case they were the one who'd gifted it to him, but unfortunately that was not the case. What he wouldn't give to know who the gifter was!

It was then, while obsessing over his awesome gift and looking around for its potential creator, that Zophyr spotted Stephen. They slept in the same tent, along with EmmaLee, but Zophyr still hadn't had the chance to ask what the heck had happened a week ago at the mistletoe spin, and because he was too curious, he approached him. "Hello, Stephen. If you don't mind me asking, er... the mistletoe spin. Well, wait, first - I must thank you for your piece of advice back then. But I also have to know, what happened, with EmmaLee and everything?"

As AF said, I would love to know who Zophyr got his gift from! If you'd be so kind as to owl me and let me know it was you, or even have your character say so IC, it would be greatly appreciated no worries if not, I'm just very curious!

Also, AF, let me know if you don't want to continue this thread, I can definitely edit it so Zoph doesn't ask Stephen anything if you're too busy or just don't want to. I'd completely understand!
