Eugenia was born in Athens, Greece on a rainy morning. Her date of birth was 6th of February 2012. Her parents were both from a long line of powerful wizards. She was always told that they were pure-bloods, but remained sceptical regarding this “fact”. There were bound to be some other blood statuses involved, at least in the distant past, but she wasn’t told anything that confirmed her assumption. They descended from some of the most important Greek wizard families of exceptional power (magic, not money). They lived in a cottage at the suburbs of the country’s capital Athens. Her father worked at the Greek Ministry of Magic as an Auror, while her mom made potions at the family home, which she gave to other wizards.

The first three years of Eugenia’s life were great. Her parents always cared for her and although her important status, she turned out to be an incredibly humble, kind and intelligent girl. In fact, she could read at the age of 3, a skill she learned all by herself.

After 4 years of living in Greece, her parents decided to move to England to avoid the economic crisis. The economy of the country was going downhill and prices kept rising. Moving to England was the only way they could escape from this vicious cycle. Adjusting to this new place was a bit difficult as her world was turned upside down. She had lost all her bonds with relatives and the quiet life she used to lead. London was a challenge for the Karageorgiadi family. Their little home near Diagon Alley though, soon flourished.

That year, her sister, Ifigenia is born. Having a new member in the family was exciting. Eugenia always loved her sister and has cared for her since she was born, despite being so young. The sisters had a strong bond since the beginning and were always there for each other. They would congratulate and confide in each other, live, love and laugh together. Eugenia was really sad when she came to the realisation that they had to part for her to go to Hogwarts…

Since then, all the years have flown by. Eugenia’s father has found a job in the British Ministry of Magic, in the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. Her mother is a stay-at-home mom and continues her habits of making potions. Eugenia was home-schooled by her mother. All her memories from her family are awesome. She often visits her relatives in Greece and they keep in touch using owl post. Eugenia is glad to be a witch.

The only side effect of having magic is the fact that she always had difficulty making friends. After all, being a witch of another nationality, and an introvert are factors that affected her ability of making friends. She had some odd interactions with other magical children in her neighbourhood, whom she often saw from their bedroom window, playing in their gardens or walking down the street, but no real friendships. They just looked at each other awkwardly through the glass and no one spoke.

Eugenia wasn’t very social; she rarely wanted to go outside and play with them. And even when she tried went outside and even when she tried to play with the other young witches and wizards, she never had a memorable experience. She is a quill pall with Amalia, one of her old friends who lives in Greece. That is another reason why her relationship with her sister is super important to her. And when the people around her began perishing, she only got more closed and shy. She once saw a man in the street get killed. It stayed with her, the thought of death, a perish no one can return from. The girl only got more closed off as time passed.

On May 4th, 2022, her paternal grandfather was murdered under circumstances Eugenia never wished to know. He was found dead, he had already bled out. This was something that shook her really bad, grief she never really got over. She masked it easily, but deep down, she was suffering. The two sisters would comfort each other when they cried late at night, just like their mother would do during the day.

All these things shaped Eugenia into who she is today. A wonderful young girl and a flourishing young woman.

Her first instance of wandless magic happened at the age of four. She was playing in her room when she suddenly got really angry at her toys. One of her dolls would not stay standing for more than 5 seconds and she hated fixing its posture constantly. Eugenia looked furiously at that little doll and her beautiful blonde hair turned green. She was shocked when she saw it, but also happy, as her parents had explained what it meant. Another time, she accidentally made her soup freeze, when trying to cool it down.

We met when I was 6, our parents had dinner over at their house. Her parents helped us settle down in London. We haven’t interacted much beyond that.

Cool girl, slept once under a tree. A muggleborn who always has snacks and also a great and funny personality. Maybe we can learn more things about each other in the future.

She seemed to be daydreaming. A shy little kid, who is barely noticed by anyone. A ghost of sorts. I’ve never seen her again since the time she sat in front of the fire.

Met in Charms class, instantly became friends. She is funny and good-natured. Also, we hung out once in diagon alley, in Florean Fortescue’s. This could end up being one of my best relationships.

She comforted me once in a classroom on the anniversary of my Grandfather’s murder. She is super kind, a very friendly person. We might help Abbey together sometime. We’re also roomies!

Abbey Thompson —— Sister-like

The most wonderful little girl of them all. She is kind, pure, but doesn’t lack in wits either. I drew her a portrait she took, we met again in the common room and had a very friendly chat before eating breakfast together. She is very similar in terms of personality to Ifigenia (my sister), I took her under my wind. I also found her crying in a classroom, I’ll try to comfort her. She deserves the world.
