Hi Eden!

The best way to get questions about how clubs (and everything else) works is to check out our Mentorship Programme!

We are glad you're here in Hio, and welcome to the Christian Club! We're not here to argue doctrinal differences or anything like that, but rather to uplift one another in prayer. You're certainly welcome to introduce yourself, tell us what Church or denomination your belong to, share something awesome God has done in your life, share some burden you're suffering from, ask and offer prayers!

Keep your mind in hell; and don't despair.

Ohhh, thank you so much
that was a fast reply. Well, I'm Eden, sadly I don't go to church, my family are non-believers so I don't know much, I'm planning on buying a Bible and going to Church when I'm older and able to! I'm thankful for being able to wake up every day and have everything I need, such as food, a house, and an easy water source. I'm grateful that God is guiding me through everything, being my reason for life, and especially being exposed to Christianity. A burden I'm suffering from is being half Israeli, and the war happening there, I worry for my family and for all the people who are exposed to the war.

Your experience is a testimony to blessing even in the middle of adversity. We really don't get into politics here (we have enough of that outside of Hio!) --- but this region of the world and all its people who are suffering are constantly in the hearts of praying people! And I'll certainly keep you and your family in heart as well!

Good on you for getting a Bible! There are many excellent translations out there. Once you start getting into scripture, I'd also invite you to start reading the Church Fathers as well. Their writings will be extremely helpful as you navigate your journey and helping you to understand what it is you're reading in the Bible!

Praying for you and your family Eden. I can't even begin to imagine your struggles, but God strengthens us through trials and wants us to lean on him in tribulations.

Some verses for you in these tough times, since you don't have a bible yet:
James 1:2-4
[2] Consider it all joy, my brothers, whenever you encounter various trials, [3] because you know that the testing of your faith produces endurance. [4] And let endurance have its perfect effect, so that you may be mature and complete, lacking in nothing.
Romans 8:28
[28] And we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose,
John 16:32-33 (Jesus speaking)
[32] Behold, an hour is coming—and has come—that you (the disciples) will be scattered each one to his own home, and you will leave me (Jesus) alone. And I am not alone, because the Father is with me. [33] I have said these things to you so that in me you may have peace. In the world you have affliction, but have courage! I have conquered the world.”
As Colin said, there are excellent theologians, including the church fathers and the heros of the faith whose lives and writings would be wonderful to delve into. Praying for you and your family and that God will open opportunities for you to learn more about him every day.

Almost dead yesterday, maybe dead tomorrow, but alive, gloriously alive today
