It seemed that the summer camp could only roll around too fast, and with them, the international quidditch games, this year hosted at the London Quidditch Stadium. Light and fluffy clouds covered the sky, letting through the odd sunbeam, with the warmth contrasting the wintery theme that had been selected, and for Pax, it seemed like pretty ideal quidditch weather.
The London Quidditch Stadium was always an impressive and, in their opinion, beautiful sight to behold, and they hoped that, one day, they'd be able to play here. Nonetheless, even being able to moderate a match in the space was a great honour bestowed and entrusted to them. They were especially looking forwards to seeing how this match would play out. Clearing their throat, they began to read the slip of paper with the team's names on them.
"Hello everyone, and welcome to the first international quidditch game of summer 2024! Today's first game is what I'm sure will be a thrilling match - between Durmstrang," they paused to let the team enter and a roar of applause sound, "and Ilvermorny-Beauxbatons!" The second team followed on, also to the background sound of cheers and applause.
After giving them both a few minutes to get into positions and for any pep talks, Pax raised their hand to signal for the game to begin. "And with that, let's get started!"
A note to all players: The word count minimum is 50 words. The next deadline to post and submit strategy is 120 hours from the time this is posted. You must include in your first post (and preferably all posts) any active abilities, your character's stats (without broom, you can also include the stats with broom but they must be clearly separated), and your character's chosen broom and its effects.

Amina was ready. This was the moment she had been waiting for the whole time. Since she had to sit out a year due to a stupid injury, she didn’t have the chance yet to show off all the hard work, all the passion, sweat, tears and blood she had put into this since she had been able to climb on a broom.
Determined, she brushed a strand of red hair out of her eyes and checked that her tight leather gloves were on properly. She gripped her broom tighter, which vibrated with shared anticipation in her hand. A confident smile spread across her face. The broom had been a welcome gift from the crew. The best present they could have given her - and they were both hungry.
Then the smile disappeared again as the familiar calm spread through her, but the fire inside her burned even brighter. Her mind was a hundred percent focused. This was it!
She lifted her gaze and blinked at the sun, which at that very moment sent a few rays through the clouds. That wouldn't be a problem, maybe even an advantage. Tilting her head and lifting her nose in the air like a dog, she briefly checked the wind conditions and nodded as she completed her analysis. She could hardly wait to finally play!
Her lucky socks (knee-high with laughing avocados on them) were hidden under her Quidditch uniform, reassuring her feeling that this was about to be the best day of her life. Finally unchained!
Her surfer bracelet was tucked safely under her glove so it wouldn't get in the way. All ready, all set. Anticipation tingled through her whole body and she finally turned her gaze from the stadium and the loud crowd, which had already become a dull background noise in her ears, and looked at the team that would be going into battle with her.
And what a team that was! She gave a wide grin and a thumbs up to her brother and captain, their star seeker. He should know that she was more than ready to go!
Another wink and thumbs up went into the direction of Johannes, their star keeper and the two beaters, Slava and Alaric. Part of her wanted to move towards Slava, her dear friend who she always felt super comfortable with, but not right now. It wasn’t the right moment. She didn’t want to disrupt the speech of the captain, which most likely was about to come.
Her eyes were shortly grazing the second string, all brilliant flyers, who she would love to have in the air with her too. Especially Romeo. But no one needed to know that. It was sad that the person, who accidentally almost killed her, sat out today. Such a blow would have been well placed at their enemies heads. Amina would never admit it, but his presence made it easier for her to channel her anger and emotions and to focus. Maybe he got her harder than she had thought.
In general, the second string was a complicated mess for her. When she looked at Felix, she slightly blushed. Damn it. That wasn’t good. And unnecessary. And undeserved! He better not distract her! Although she would never admit it, part of her swore in that moment to deliver the best performance in the world to not embarrass herself in front of him.
Just to make sure that she would keep the upper hand, she pictured the moment when he was wearing a dress at the last chess match as their queen. The blush faded from her cheeks and a smirk took its place. That was better.
Shaking her head slightly to focus back on the game, she brought her confident grin back onto her face and hopped over to her chaser team, Greta, Madhup and - well, probably said Queen Felix, who she would make sure to not look at too long. Not that he got any ideas... If he caught her gaze, she would stick out her tongue and give him a teasing wink.
If Valentin did make a speech, Amina would wait, slightly bouncing up and down on the balls of her feet, struggling slightly to get her anticipation under control. Whenever he did finish, she would likely agree with him: “Let’s go, kick some butts! Love you guys!” The redhead would offer everyone a high five and a hug, bursting with confidence and passion.
She wondered briefly if Aaron was watching. Hopefully he did. It would be nice to have her friend cheering for her.
But that wasn’t important right now. Her team was important! Looking at Greta and Madhup, making sure to stick with them, she mounted her broom, ready to go.

Jamie had been looking forward to the Quidditch matches all summer and now that they were finally here she couldn't wait to get on the pitch and (hopefully) win. One thing she hadn't counted on was the fact that she'd be placed in a team other than her own school, which meant she'd be player with people she'd never played with before. Not that it would make much of a difference she thought, but you never knew, it just meant that Jamie would have to be at the top of her game, and hope that the others were as well.
Walking onto the pitch she greeted all of her team, knowing that she'd be starting on the bench made her pay close attention to the other chasers as to if they'd be likely to go down and thus have to have her sub in. As awful as it may have sounded, the only way she could properly improve herself was by getting real experience in a proper game, which she couldn't do if she was on the bench.
As a last action before they all went onto the pitch she quickly headed over to the other team, shooting them her best smile and wishing them a good game. "Hey! I just wanted to say I'm really looking forward to this and I hope we can have a good match together."
Afterwards Jamie grabs her broom and makes her way over to the benches while the rest of the team makes their way to the pitch. Once again shooting her team a smile as well she says her last words before the match. "Just don't let them win, we've got this!"

Durmstrang vs. Ilvermorny-Beauxbatons - Summer 2024
┏ ┓ Before the game began, the rogue Chaser wove through Durmstrang's ranks while whispering words of encouragement. He clasped shoulders, bumped elbows, muttered praise and reassurance to his team one by one. Madhup's loving sentiments were interwoven with brutality. This game is already ours was spoken just as easily as We will write apology letters to their mothers when all is done. Soft-spoken rallying and last-minute strategizing came to an immediate halt as one of the opposing players made her way towards their side of the stadium (Jamie Carville/@Mylo Atkins).
"Hey! I just wanted to say I'm really looking forward to this and I hope we can have a good match together." Madhup's eyebrows arched high as he processed the little Beauxbatons gal's well-wishes. She seemed like a darling and a good sport. Regrettably, the Durmstrang Chaser was not. He pursed his lips, pressed a palm over his heart, tilted his head and tutted a tiny "Aw...." Before anyone could prevent him from disgracing himself or his team, he suddenly sneered "Sweetest heart: the snow will be red with the blood of your team." Too much? Probably, but judging from the wild grin that split #9's face, he thrived on pre-game theatrics. Madhup never hesitated to play the heel.
Turning his back towards the latest victim of his nasty attitude, Mad sought his fellow Chasers, falling into place alongside Amina (@Ileen Knight) and Greta (@Evelynn Decipio). His grin grew warm and mischievous in equal measure, a playful lilt to his tone as he invited: "Ladies?" Amina's hug was welcomed fondly, and if she allowed it, Greta would be looped into his opposite arm for a brief embrace among Chasers.┗ ┛ Action: As strategized. When he had quit his beloved dueling team, Felix thought Quidditch would perhaps bring some excitement to his life. Unfortunately for him he had ended up on second string, which meant he was doomed to sit on the bench and watch his team mates fly around and try to dodge a bunch of balls. How was he supposed to protect Greta and Valentin from bludgers when his ass was getting splinters?
On the bright side it looked like he wouldn't be set on fire while playing this sport, that was a part of dueling he would NOT miss. Clenching his Silver Arrow in one hand, his eyes scanned the faces of his team mates, before pausing on Amina, who promptly stuck her tongue out at him. Hey, what the fuck? "Are you going to fly like that the entire time? Didn't know you were in to eating bugs, Mimi." Something-something-catching more flies with honey.

────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────Truthfully the summer had not really been kind to much of Team Sárkány of Durmstrang, but regardless we had survived. It was always a matter of surviving in the end.
I was here to lead my team to glory once more, whole as opposed to the mishmashed team who thought themselves capable of opposing us that had destroyed two different and whole Hogwarts teams at their highest peaks two years in a row and with hardly a sweat broken. If morale wouldn't prove an issue for them... Their youth and forgetfulness of the dragon they were deciding to challenge would.
I was on the ground... But my eyes were in the stands. Looking for a pair of green eyes. I had to find them. Had to locate them first, even as the rest of my team took to the skies to gain honor and glory in the fight that was Quidditch.
I was too filled with worry to speak. I could only watch. Observe.

────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────Ricochet:In the role of Beater, if you hit an opponent with a bludger the bludger will then ricochet off that user and target a second opponent of choice (must be declared, if not declared the target will be random and can be an ally but not yourself).
Riposte:In the role of Beater, if an ALLY dodges a bludger during the round, there is a 20% chance that you catch that bludger with your bat and you send it at a RANDOM enemy target.
Brutal Critical:In the role of Beater, if you critically hit with a bludger, instead of doing double-damage you do 2.5x damage. If you critically fail with your bludger attempt to hit, rather than having your bludger randomly target another user (including yourself or an ally) the bludger cannot target you on a critical fail (but it can still target your allies). On a re-target, there is a random roll for target and then a fresh accuracy roll.

Durmstrang vs. Ilvermorny-Beauxbatons - Summer 2024
Following tradition, Valentin stood before Durmstrang's team in the foyer, leading the debriefing before they would all exit out into the wide open colosseum pitch. They all knew the details of the plan from discussion in a secret place where conspiratorial ears couldn’t reach, and now was simply a moment to embolden morale.
Looking first to Romeo, Valentin hated that he'd see #4 benched. The seeker’s amethyst eyes held a dire shadow in them beyond mere concern. This wasn’t as simple as shared guilt over the slug battle the two captains had subjected their friends to in mid-July. Valentin knew Romeo’s heart, and there was something more to this. Like a mirror onto the other, whether the Frost Captain’s subtle expressions reflected Valentin’s condition or that of his counterpart could be difficult to discern. This was why today Val was wearing as much of an iced-over expression as he could muster, as to not tip off the enemy team in a public place. Still, his people knew him well enough after all their hours bleeding and sweating and mending shattered bones together. Valya was haunted.
As everyone stood in a semi-circle, Valentin looked each person over as a final visual check on how each was faring and if their equipment had received any obvious last-second hexes during their walk up to the foyer gateway arch.
“Once, this team was in tatters. Piece by piece, moment by moment, we built ourselves up to what we are today. In every dedicated morning that you showed up, exhausted or not…” Valentin nodded to Johannes, “you put a knut in the jar, or a sickle, or a galleon depending on how you felt that day. Yet, whatever the quantity, you never stopped showing up. Now, with all those hard-won tokens of devotion you each contributed, behold the collective wealth we put to use today!” Gesturing with wide sweeps of both arms, Valentin indicated everyone in their group before turning to the person on the farthest edge.
“Madhup, you were there with me in the very beginning, and you always stuck with the team no matter what happened to it. I know you remember our first championship together and the destruction of our ranks after that day our weakest link broke our defenses apart. I will never forget how you always stuck by me even when times were hard. I’ve watched you evolve since those early days, and how imaginative and clever you’ve become. Just knowing that you’re here puts me that much more at ease.
“Just so, Slava, I know you remember those first days when we were all so much… smaller,” Valentin grinned with a tip of his head towards Romeo. “You have such justice and loyalty burning in your heart, but even more, the warmth of your optimism and perseverance brought you back to us as soon as you were able. I am proud of you for taking the time you needed, and I am even prouder of what you have become. I always knew you were born to be a beater, and at last your day in the spotlight has come again. Shine for us. Sparkle in front of all those who came to watch and support us in the stands. Show our opponents what it really means to burn bright.
“Now, darling Greta, don’t think I could have overlooked you no matter how short you still are.” Valentin wryly smiled with a tilt of his head, obviously still saturated with adoration for their little Valkyrie regardless of what happened with the slugs and her other birthday surprise. “You remember that first game, too, I know. You were so fierce even in those days, and since then you have only blossomed in fearsome aim and tactical brilliance. I know that when you’re out there, it won’t just be your muscles bound to rote memory. Your psychological edge can redefine what it means to be a chaser, and I want you to push forward the future of quidditch as a sport today.”
Valentin sighed with wistful affection, blinking slowly as he crossed his arms, then paced towards the other side of the team’s half-moon.
“Hanya. Hannes.” Valentin reached out in order to grasp the other’s shoulder. The captain still only understood the basics of what war of intrigue the Hellhounds were waging in his keeper’s life, but he knew that despite the struggles and exhaustion that dogged the boy’s heels, Hanya’s dedication to training forever burned hard and thrived under the captains' guidance. “You have grown so much since you first came into our boot camp, and every ounce of skill you carry now is one you truly earned. Keep pushing the edge. While your relentless spirit has carried you through the rain, the snow, and the dark, today we fly in balmy kind skies. I know you will not let that dim your ferocity, of course, but I have a request. Show us what you’ve learned this year. Show me something new.”
Valentin stretched his neck and buried his hands in the pockets of his aerodynamically sleek pants. The item he was carrying was still there. Breathing in deep, Valentin nodded his head a few times to show that he was thinking. His hair was cut short today, ensuring no stray locks of white hair could catch the sun and throw off his detection of the slightest gleam. He’d had his moment of enjoying it grown long for Greta’s surprise ball, but now it was time to get serious again. Well, not too serious.
“Amina… You already know that you’re going to send our opponents home crying to their parents, and you don’t need me to tell you that. What I do want to tell you is that I saw that… the way you were looking just now.” Eyes narrowing with the tilt of his head, Valentin’s lips curled in amusement. It didn’t matter if Felix wasn’t the one who was really special to her. Even if he weren’t there, Val knew Amina’s bouncing was no normal bouncing today. Like trying to keep a firework from escaping its chute, Amina was sitting on a great energy source and making sure that it went to waste. Whether this was because of fear or a lack of understanding or both, the captain was sure that this challenge – the challenge of love – could help her live out her fuller potential. “That silly tickling inside is actually more potent than the most volatile fuel. Use it. Discover it. Don’t just blow me off – there’s a great power inside that feeling, deep down. It is dangerous, but it will teach you so very much. Don’t think about it. Just see how far it really goes.” Rolling his wrist in order to relieve the tension he felt beginning to build there, Valentin’s eyes flicked next to the faux leather feline standing between Amina and Greta.
“Felix…” After the boy’s heroic protection of Greta during the slug fiasco and the events at Breezeborne tent, Valentin’s feelings about the pair had become conclusive. It was the captain’s job to look into peoples’ hearts and divine paths to their fullest potentials. What could he tell him now that would help the bleached platinum horntail find a roost from which to soar higher? “Felya, I remember how things were before Hexiwizard. Yefim changed us both, and every day I feel how much that event did as well. Yet, despite what you went through, you still had the guts to bear your feelings to me. I will be forever grateful for you letting me know your pain and allowing me to be there for you. You know I will always stand by you. Yet, I know there are ways you need someone to reach deeper places in your psyche. I want you to show the courage you showed me, but even fiercer. While you’re on the bench, I’d like you to consider that and prepare for when you see the right moment to act. Think about what you want to fight the long battles for… and then fight for this.” Flicking his eyes across where Romeo stood but not letting his gaze land, Valentin walked past his co-captain on the way to where their younger beater stood.
“Alaric, I still feel the echoes of conflict from your past, but…” Glancing at Slava, then Johannes, then back to Alaric again, Valentin’s eyes shone like hard diamonds. “This is a time to remember the strength of unity. Only together can we be at our strongest, and we need you to have our backs. You are a piece of Durmstrang, and Durmstrang is counting on you. We are counting on you. Show us – and the world out there – your very best.” Turning away with an attempted friendly shoulder punch, Valentin looked to their second-string seeker next.
“We’ve come a long way, haven’t we Astrid? From paper balls to this grand stadium… I know it’s all too easy to drown out the crowd at times like this when it’s important to keep focused on the snitch. Yet, my lesson for you today is this: I want you to remember that the crowd is like the musical score of a great play. In the air the actors are whirling about playing their parts, but like instruments in the orchestra pit, the crowd is crying out messages about the state of the game. You can learn things without having to look just by having an ear for the secrets they reveal when we are too locked-on to see. Keep searching with your eyes, and being aware of your surroundings, but dance to the music of the stadium as it gifts you with clues.” With a warm smile, Valentin nodded twice at the littler seeker. She’d already heard enough times how much he was proud of her and confident that she could carry enough weight for the team if things went awry for him.
Continuing on from the second shortest to the very smallest member of their team, Valentin approached their new keeper, Semyon. Looking into the boy’s stare was not quite the same as the void within Mikael’s, but it still evoked a similar affection in Valentin. “Dear Senya, today you sit atop a quiet perch, but this is not because we have no need of you. No, from this distance I want you to observe, to learn, for to succeed in a hunt one must first know how to watch. Only so will you know how to chase down your prey, and when is the right moment to strike. Please take every moment here as an important foundation for your future, and stay ever ready. We may need you beside us sooner than anyone expects.” Violet eyes flaring, Valentin did not blink. All he did was stare back into Semyon's mud-colored eyes for a long moment before pulling a small sprig of vegetation from his pocket and attempting to place it in the boy’s hand. It was a bushy spruce tip, round like a pipecleaner, and an uncanny silvery green – a type of silver fir* only found at the highest peaks around Durmstrang. Indeed, it was only found in twisted, tortured looking trees at the very edge of survivability along the Krummholz line. Then, without a word, Valentin walked back towards the other end of the line.
Standing in front of his co-captain, Valentin maintained his silence. Staring into the other’s cerulean eyes deeply enough that one might think Valentin drowning, the seeker’s eyes told Romeo everything he needed to know. Still, the captain was done with letting his truths go unspoken on the assumption that his silence would suffice.
“Romeo, I’ll be waiting. It’s not the same out there without you. I need you with me. We all do.” Turning his eyes away with the bite of his lip, Valentin held in the unbidden watering of his eyes by glaring into a far corner. “I believe in you.”
Then, swallowing back the pain in his throat, Valentin clenched both fists and punched them high into the air.
“TO VICTORY, MY DRAGONS! FOR DURMSTRANG. FOR GLORY!”
Finally, with a loud stomp on the ground and a rumbling “URAAA!” Valentin spun on his heel to walk through the gateway arch opening up to the stadium’s expansive sky. In less than a second, he was on his broom and spiraling out around the towering walls of stadium seating. Greeting his fans with his open palm raised all throughout his circuit, it was only on passing particular friends for whom he would lower his delicate seeking hand.
If Valentin found Nikolai, Hans, Gellert, or other old friends in the audience, he would hold out his palm when passing by with the offer of a high five before whirling back up into position. If Nikolai were in attendance, he would recognize a fresh snowdrop flower pinned by a matte-black pin to Valentin's quidditch jersey (labelled with the number 1 on his back). Valya would be especially delighted if even graduates like Lysander and Niche had made time to attend the match. Saluting the referee before spinning the gold ring around his finger, Valentin’s smile conveyed that he hoped for a good, amicable game. It would be great if this one didn’t turn into a riot, thought the captain with severe humor. Then, with a glance over the attendance of the opposing team, Valentin turned his keen eyes to the where the snitch was soon to be released.

❅ Astrid was with her team, in the foyer, listening to the captain's pre-game speech. It was approximately the same thing each time, but it was always nice to hear. The seeker was, as usual, wearing her red eye makeup, that made the bright colour of her eyes pop. She was not wearing any gloves, because they usually annoy her when she have to quickly catch the snitch. At her left wrist was, like for every game, clasped her father's leather bracelet. And she was wearing the same black converse she had been wearing at every training and every games for about two years.
Valentin's speech was, like always, a little emotional. Talking to each member of the team individually, he came back on a moment he shared with them. For Astrid, it was the time he asked her if she wanted to try quidditch. She still remembers that day like if it was yesterday. Smiling the whole time, the girl stayed on the ground with Romeo and Felix, and when she sat down, it was at a good distance from the beater. ❅

Nobody would be able to tell that she had hardly slept a wink the night before. The culmination of racing thoughts following a particularly eventful night at the Mistletoe Spin and restless anticipation of the match to come had meant sleep was a veritable impossibility. She had laid awake most of that night, tossing and turning and eventually just succumbing to the futility to stew in her mental imagery and just pretending to sleep until the stirring of her tentmates come morning had given her the excuse to rise, practically launching herself out of bed with boundless enthusiasm and helping any reluctant teammates to do the same. True to her moniker, her hair had been done up in intricate braids, her face applied with black warpaint that served well to disguise any lingering hints of sleep deprivation. Practically vibrating with excess energy, it had taken every ounce of her power to maintain enough patience to wait for the rest of her team to ready themselves before exiting the tent.
"GAME DAY! GAME DAY! GAME DAY!" The cheer of the Valkyrie's chant echoed well ahead of the little Norwegian all the way from her tent to the stadium that morning, punctuated frequently with wordless hollering and the occasional screeching squeal of excitement. Braids bounced in her wake as she ran circles about the group, a wide grin splayed across her face. More than once, she had to call out apologetically, laughing all the while, when her broom connected with one tent or another with a loud CRACK in passing as she spun it around or twirled in half a dance to channel her adrenaline. It had felt like a century since her last game.
The joy she felt at being able to take to the sky amongst her brothers and sisters was more than she could handle. So exuberant was the little Valkyrie that morning that she had even tried to pounce upon Roo shouting, "UPPIES!" while madly slashing her broom to point ahead of the group, proclaiming, "FORWARD! FORWARD TO OUR DESTINIES! WE SHALL STRIKE DOWN OUR FOES AND BRING GLORY TO OUR FAMILIES AND SHOULD WE FALL, WE SHALL FALL WITH HONOUR AND GLADNESS IN OUR HEARTS AND DINE E'ERMORE WITH OUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN VALHALLA!"
Some may have rolled their eyes or chastised her for wasting energy that ought to have been focused upon the quidditch pitch, but it really wouldn't have mattered. Her reserves of energy were bottomless, her glee happily shared. And it was probably a good thing that she had expended what overflow there had been lest she be unable to stand still enough to listen to the Captain's speech on the cusp of the game start (though she still stuck her tongue out at him when he called her short, and muttered something about slimy kisses under her breath). How much she retained of the speech could be left to question, though, her attention wandering with the sound of the stands and the mounting wardrum of her pulse. By the time he finally released them, the grip on her broom handle had whitened and she loosed like an arrow to join her fellow chasers, squealing with delight as she and Mimi were embraced by Honningbie.
"Rain hell upon them!" She grinned to the pair of them before giving them each a peck on the cheek, then extracting herself to make a beeline for Felix. Or started to. The nearer she drew, the more she hesitated, butterflies suddenly coming to life within her stomach to stir an unexpected dusting of pink across her cheeks. "I... ehm...." She bit her lip, rocking a bit on the balls of her feet, uncertain what to say, but certain she wanted to include him in the chasers' shared affections despite the hammering in her chest. Having taken his seat on the bench, she didn't have to pull any short-girl shenanigans to give him a peck on the cheek. It was quick and fleeting, barely more than a hasty brush of her lips. "For luck!" she squeaked, darting away without looking back for the feeling she was about to faint. But, swinging her leg over her broom and kicking off, she added, "Avenge me if I fall!"
It wasn't until she was airborne and in position that the full composition of the other team hit her. Most of the faces were unfamiliar, but uncertain frown crept onto her countenance the moment she had spotted Theo. In another dimension, an alternate universe, she may have flown over to him to tease him about how they hadn't yet (as far as she could recall) played against each other, and taunted him to just try to catch her. After the events of the previous night at the Mistletoe Spin, however, that would not transpire. Under the misunderstood impression that Theo was out to get her friends, Greta had a bit of a bone to pick with him. An atypical seriousness fell to cloak the valkyrie, a silent promise internally spoken that she and the rest of her brothers and sisters would crush his team and show him the folly of wanting to hurt Durmstrang.
STA | 5 STR | 1 EVA | 20 (24) WIS | 12 ARC | 12 ACC | 20 (24)Action: doing as strategised
Perfectionist|Calming Presence [Allies: Durmstrang]|Lovely Creature
Spell Spread|Wandmaker [Thunderbird]|Fearless
Oakshaft 79: +4 Eva, +4 Acc, abilities in reducio
ReducioIn the role of Chaser, as a free action if the user of this broom is successful in the quafflegrab they can as a free action pass the Quaffle to another user in an attempt to score. There is a chance of the quaffle being intercepted, however due to the fact that the user is "so fast" with the quaffle this would be considered "surprising" and the attempt to score would be done at +3 accuracy by the player it was passed to in an attempt to score.
(Note: The attempt to score would be an automatic attempt by the user that catches the passed quaffle.)
In the role of Chaser, if you have a contested quaffle grab and a contested strength roll between yourself and another user is in progress, unless they have the same broom, you would be the victor of the contested quaffle grab. In addition, rounds where you are successfully carrying the quaffle in an attempt to score, you only take half-damage from bludgers and blatching attempts.
If the following isn't allowed, the third selection will just be the other Chaser ability.
In the role of Seeker, if an opponent attempts to Bludger or Blatch you, there is a 20% chance that you veer out of the way the last second and another enemy player at RANDOM is targeted instead.
(Note: The new target still gets their normal dodge attempt. This is not considered to be an auto-dodge, in fact this roll is done before any accuracy rolls are done.)

Louca shook his limbs loose, his broom his his right hand as he strode onto the pitch. It was always interesting to play against another school, against people who he hadn't seen play other than maybe once a year. It shook things up and kept him sharp. Not to mention, he wasn't going to protest the opportunity to keep his skills sharp. Especially so close to the new school year where he would be a fourth year.
Grinning as he looked around, he didn't pay attention to his opponents, instead staying focused on his teammates. "Ready for this? 'Cause I most definitely am." He laughed for no reason other than he was ready to get on his broom and fly, up where he could indulge his daredevil tendencies while also supporting his school. It was one activity the professors did not look down on him doing.
