The Ravenclaw Table 2018-2019
Once I began to eat, I immediately knew I would love the food here. I looked around and saw someone reading Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and realized something. Does this mean the events in the Harry Potterseries is true? If so, that is truly amazing." i said to myself. I grabbed some more food from the table and began to read some of the textbooks I was required to buy with this new money system. I also heard someone talking about a "scholarship" in the commons room and decided to check that out once I got there. Then someone began to talk to me. Oh no. Well, let's hope those "friend-making" lessons my mother gave me will help in this situation so I don't make a fool of myself on the 1st day of school. Aaaand they weren't talking to me, but someone else. Am I hopeful someone will talk to me, or am I being paranoid and afraid of social interaction? Not being able to decide which one was better, I dropped the thought quickly. I then realized I was still turning pages in my textbook without actually reading it. "Uuuuuugh..." I turned back to the 1st page and began to read Hogwarts: a History and instantly became fascinated with this schools rich history. Before I knew it I had eaten all of my seconds. I noticed something else as well. The plates are refilling. I decided to watch them, but then dismissed it to the ghosts of the school mentioned in my book. After a while we began to head to the commons room for Ravenclaw, but I got separated from the group and had to use the map of the castle in Hogwarts: a History. It's going to be one of those days, isn't it?
I don't know what else to write, so...

Kaylee sighed as yet another person asked her to scoot over. She picked up her book and glared at the girl. She looked at Kaylee with something that said “What’s your problem?”. Kaylee rolled her eyes and let the world of book consume her again. She copied down a quote into her assignment and explained the quote. She glanced at her work and groaned at the quality of it. Serves me right for doing it a day early instead of two.. Ah what her mother would say..
“Why can’t you be like Trace?” Her mother snapped.
“I’m not Trace! I’m sorry! I know I didn’t study enough but I really tried! I only missed two out of all 30!” She did the math in her head.
“Yes it’s a 93. It doesn’t matter what you get it’s what you missed.”, my father stared at me.
I felt someone run into me and my book snaps shut.
“Watch where you’re going!”, I said and glared at the laughing girl.
“Calm down. Jeez you are stiff.”, she teased.
“Shut up.”, I muttered.
“Whatever,”, she snorted.
I wiped my forehead and just now notice lunch. I picked up a delicate sandwich and bite into it. Cream cheese and cucumber. My mouth waters and I eat a few more. I was careful not to spill any on the book and drank some iced water. A girl appeared next to me.
“Um, excuse me, do you mind moving over a little? My friends are all right here and-” She stuttered.
“Actually, I do mind. Sit somewhere else.”, I spat.
People around me ebbed into silence and stared at me. I picked up my book and walked off. I felt tears running down my face and think I just want friends. I felt someone grab my robe and I turned around.

The Ravenclaw Table 2018-2019
Cheering students welcomed Donna as she was heading towards the Ravenclaw table, but soon all the eyes focused on another child called out to be sorted next. Walking along the table looking for a free spot to sit, Donna noticed two other first-years shaking hands. The skinny girl looked very excited, but Donna couldn't hear what she was saying to the green eyed, shy looking boy. Donna hoped they would notice her, but all the seats around them were already taken, so without much of a choice she moved on.
"I will surely meet them later in the Common Room, or in classes" she thought.
Many other students weren't focused on the Sorting Ceremony anymore, and happy chatter of many voices grew louder every minute. It was noticeably quieter at her table, because many Ravenclaws were studiously reading books. Even the first-years!
Finally she found a free spot, roughly half-way through the Great Hall. When she sat down, delicious smell of the food in front of her struck with a full blow. The feeling of monstrous hunger clouded her senses and before she new it, countless servings of roasted beef, lamb chops, boiled potatoes, peas, carrots and desserts ended up in her stomach, making it satisfyingly happy.
"It's almost the end of the feast, older students are already leaving... The Common Room shouldn't be far away after all...

The Ravenclaw Table 2018-2019
Charlie listened to the boy, intrigued that even though he wasn't a Muggle-born, he was still just as new to this place as if he was a Muggle-born. She wanted to ask him why his parents didn't allow magic, but every time she thought she had an opening to ask, he went on again about something else, and soon the food was in front of them, and Charlie dug in, forgetting her question for the time being. "House elves," she said in between taking a bite of a chicken leg, "There is a kitchen somewhere in this castle, I can't remember what floor, full of house elves, and they cook, and clean, and take care of other things. You'll never see them though unless you go into the kitchen, which is forbidden, if I remember correctly." Charlie took a bite of mashed potatoes before remembering her question, and turning to the boy again. "Oh! Hey, so what's up with your parents? Why don't they like magic? Did they go here to Hogwarts?"Morrel Rodger wrote: 30 Apr 2019, 20:11 As Morrel shook hands with her, he awkwardly shifted himself around the wooden bench to face her, his back against the students being sorted into their houses.
"I'm ecstatic!! Like, I just can't imagine being in a school where everyone is a wizard. My parents were the only people I knew that was a wizard/witch back in Ireland. But they told me very little about the wizarding world. I'm still shaken from the fact that I just wore a talking hat." he chuckled. He felt as he was a muggle-born, he barely knew anything about "being a wizard".
"My father forbids magic at home, so I'm a complete alien to it.".
Morrel continued babbling on how it felt like he was an outcast in a wizard's eyes. He doesn't know or heard of any spell before. He never knew owls were used to send letters. He even was surprised when people in his carriage in the train were playing around with "chocolate" frogs and collecting cards that had "moving" pictures. But Morrel was oblivious to the cheering of the last student being sorted, and out of thin air, food of all sorts filled the golden plates and it's savoury smell drifted throughout the hall. He can see roast chicken, sausages, steak and kidney pie, and his favourite, mash potatoes.
Astonished, he said to Charlie,
"This is unbelievable!! By any chance, do you know who cooked this?"

The Ravenclaw Table 2018-2019
Clara scowled down at her plate. She had managed to pick a seat near the edge, far away from any of the drama, but that also meant that in her little corner, she was completely and utterly alone. Now, despite what you may think, she was more than used to being alone. She would never start a conversation because honestly it would be humiliating, and people never approached her due to her bad, bad case of RBF, so loneliness was basically her almost constant companion nowadays. And no, that statement was not sad at all.
Anyways, why was she here? Did she really need to go down to this hall every bloody day for no reason at- oh right. The food. In her daydreaming, she had completely forgotten that humans needed sustenance in order to continue living. The brunette hurriedly piled a little of everything onto her plate, just to seem like she was busy. She took a bite, and loosened up in relief. This food was proper tasty!
Just as she realized what she’d done, she froze up in horror. Back straight, chin up, ankles crossed, just like we practiced. It would be a shame if she threw away all her hard earned training to look like a ‘proper lady’ for some food, even if that food was admittedly the best food she’d ever eaten. Her mum would have an aneurysm if she found out that all her effort to get her to sit properly went to waste. Clara shrugged and took another bite. She wouldn’t really mind if her mum got an aneurysm sometimes. And it wasn’t like her mom was here to tell her what to do, so... maybe she could loosen up a bit.

The Ravenclaw Table 2018-2019
After a long night staying up with the other first-year Ravenclaws, Katey was very much in need of a good breakfast, and a large cup of coffee. As she trudged into the great hall, her spirits brightened when she caught glimpse of the stacks of waffles - her favorite meal back home. She took a seat a few feet away from the nearest grouping of second-years and began filling her plate with the many treats that surrounded her. In just a few short seconds, her plate was filled with waffles, sausage patties, and a few blackberries that she had taken out of habit.
Katey's mother was always encouraging her to eat more fruit and would constantly remind her of the latest muggle ads encouraging kids to be healthier. As a result, the Eickhoff family fridge was always filled with every fruit available at the local muggle grocery store, and she and her father were forced to politely sip every gross smoothie her mom concocted.
Still wishing for coffee, Katey noticed a strange pitcher that had appeared at her side. Had a house-elf brought it out while she was busy reminiscing about home? Regardless, she opened the thermos and her nose was met with the most amazing smelling coffee. In a few minutes, the pitcher was emptied and Katey felt a warm burst of energy. Whatever her second day at Hogwarts had to offer, she was now prepared.

The Ravenclaw Table 2018-2019
Amaya yawned, and stepped into the Great Hall. She was determined to make some friends this morning. She had woken up late, and hoped no-one would notice her late arrival. She awkwardly stepped down to the Ravenclaw Table, and found a seat beside a brown-haired girl. As soon as she sat down, food appeared on her plate. Blueberry pancakes, waffles, bacon, sausages, she realized how hungry she was and started eating. She looked over at the girl, and nervously smiled Should I speak to her? Maybe she just wants to be left alone. I guess I should try to make conversation. She honestly didn't know what to say. She was still very nervous coming to Hogwarts, and usually, at-least at home, kept to herself. She kind-of stared at her for a minute, before realizing what she was doing Now she's gonna think i'm a creep or something! Everyone's gonna think i'm weird and... and not talk to me... She didn't even notice the blueberry pancakes slipping onto her lap. She gasped, and immediately tried to clean it. A few people laughed at her, but, no-one really noticed. She awkwardly looked over at the girl, and said with a smile "I'm Amaya".

The Ravenclaw Table 2018-2019
Liz was startled out of her thoughts by a sudden yelp made by the girl beside her. She wore the usual Ravenclaw insignia on her black robes, which were now covered in blueberry syrup. If only Liz knew a spell that could help...
She reached over the table and took a handful of napkins from the dispenser. She handed them to the girl and began helping her clean up the mess.
"Nice to meet you," she said with an awkward smile. "My name's Liz."

Great! She probably think's your dumb! "T-thanks.." And you just kinda sounded like a jerk! She is not gonna be your friend She desperately tried to get the syrup off of her, and graciously took the napkins. She felt like an idiot, but it seemed nobody had noticed. She scrubbed at her robes with the napkins, and some of the syrup came out. Should I try to make conversation? I guess I could ask a question... "So... what's your favorite Quidditch team..?" she mumbled so quietly only she could hear it She probably didn't hear me... I don't know many Quidditch teams... guess I should ask another question "Whats your favorites animal..?" 'Whats your favorites animal'?! That's such a dumb question!!! Change the subject, change the subject..! "A-actually, where are you from..?" She desperately tried to make conversation "If you don't mind me asking.." Now I should like a creep. Is that question even any better?! I feel like such a nervous train wreck! She smiled awkwardly, happily knowing nobody else could hear her awkward rants inside her head I hope she does wanna be my friend.. "I'm a little awkward.." Yeah, who knew?! "Its just so amazing here!" I sound like a fan-girl.... She awkwardly awaited a response

She turned towards Amaya, the girl in front of her with syrup- splattered robes, and gave her a soft, welcoming smile. "Are you new too?" She looked away awkwardly. That was a stupid way to start a conversation, Willow. "What's your wand made of? Mine's cherry wood and snallygaster heartstring. 35.1 centimetres to be exact."You sound like a nerd, Willow. She looked down, her quiet side showing through. Why did that stupid hat pick me for ravenclaw, I dont really belong in this castle, do I..?/i] She sighed deeply, and started chopping a fat , juicy sausage. She then turned to Elizabeth, a bit of an awkward grin on her face. Her eyes gleamed in a sort-of 'Help me I have no clue what I'm doing here' way. She really wasn't ready for this. She stared around at the hall for the first actual time. Shhe took in all the pillars, the other tables with coloured banners above them, and- wow - the ceiling was enchanted. It looked like the sky outside a blue, sunny sky with a smattering of clouds. The smell of food was amazing too, sausages, and bacon, and eggs and- PANCAKES!? She immediately smiled, noticing the plate next to her, and took a few.
