my friend (whos also supposed to be going into uni) put off doing her apps and fafsa and then didnt tell anyone so now shes a month away from the first day and she hasnt even APPLIED TO HER SCHOOL!!! and guess what.... her schools fall 24-25 applications closed ages ago and ive been telling her to not put it off for literally 2 months.... I AM SO STRESSED ON HER BEHALF!!! its crazy.....

Ooooohhh crap... See, down here we all had to make our uni applications nearly six months before we even sat our final exams - So whenever results came out, we'd be contacted by the universities to confirm our placements and then make student loans etc without waiting for delays or stuff like that.

If she can, she needs to buckle down and ring up her uni or email them to see if she can still squeeze in for what she wants.

It is a bit crazy that she left it for so long. Down here it's do or die. You either land your mark (even if it's a part-time course) or miss it until next year.

that must be so stressful! i think the usa has pretty lax policies on further education but ive still been stressing </3 the costs are really what gets me lol but we never back down and we never give up

Nah down here in the UK - well my school in particular, so perhaps I'm a bit biased - we were quite set on getting higher education. But it's as you said, finances are just so.... Ugh! Literally living off my savings and it's just stressful...

lol i wish my school had pushed me a bit more on going to uni </3 i didnt even know if i wanted to go for a while, i almost ended up at a tech school doing cooking i also didnt know if i could afford college for a while but i got lucky with my grants and stuff

and NOW im studying stem muahaha and in a few years ill be working in hospitals and helping people >:)

Aww but that's cool though! I mean I get people telling me all the time that an English degree is only good for teaching and I'm like "umm... Journalism? Publishing? Editorial? Media? Creative Writing, you know... the thing I do both IC and OOC?!"

*siggghh* If I could graduate with that degree and make a good living making literature for the rest of my life, I would reach my full form as a happy bunny...
