The day of Summer camp came bearing down on Aleksandra. The platinum haired girl dreaded this day more than she dreaded returning back to Hogwarts surrounded by a bunch of unruly students. What was even worse was that the young girl was stuck at this camp for how many weeks was it again? The platinum haired girl scrunched up her face in thought she forgot when exactly summer camp ended she just knew it was not fast enough. A soft airy sigh escaped Aleksandra’s lips as the young girl trudged towards the vast London Quidditch stadium.

The young girl slung her beige duffel bag over her left shoulder. The young girl did best to pack essentials and few other things that her Aunt Victoria suggested like a small travel size Beach Ball for games with ‘friends’ was what her aunt said. A scoff escaped Aleksandra’s lips as if she had time for ‘friends’ though she was tenting with her fellow Slytherin pals. Astra Norrick, well many things have happened since school began and Aleksandra figured keeping someone as ‘dangerous’ as the ginger haired girl was beneficial. Then you had the bane of Aleksandra’s existence Tommy Patterson. The boy sure knew how to urk Aleksandra’s nerves, but the young girl had no idea why she even tolerated his presence. The boy was a walking misfortune. Especially with his little renown ‘seer’ schtick that the young boy keeps gloating about every so often.

Speaking of those two Aleksandra wondered if they had already arrived or not. The young girl figured Tommy should have already arrived; he was helping with the summer planning and all. She figured he would have been one of the first to be here.

Escaping her little dreary state the young girl entered the stadium. Expecting to feel a warm welcoming breeze was the opposite that she endured. Blinking drearily, Aleksandra examined the area around her. A blank look at first until her face dropped in astonishment.

The scenery in front of her was not what she expected no on the contrary what she was welcomed with was snow?! The girl blinked, dropping her duffel bag, rubbing her eyes adjusting to the glistening white fluffy cold crystals of pure ice as if the clouds decided to fall from the heavens to rest on the ground. Aleksandra blinked jaw agape. First of all it was Summer correct? Secondly, whose genius idea was to freeze the whole stadium with snow? Aleksandra thought bitterly to herself, her mind automatically blaming Tommy. The boy could have warned the girl that it was winter themed and not an ordinary Summer camp. Or was this how ordinary summer camps usually are?

A sigh escaped Aleksandra’s lips once again as the young girl grabbed her duffel bag off the fluffy snow covered ground shaking off the matted snow that accumulated on the bottom of her bag. Geeze life really was not gonna get easier was it?

Gray steely eyes examined the area that seemed to slowly fill with many students from young to older. While Aleksandra was lazily examining her surroundings the young girl caught sight of something she was not prepared for. A large boulder? No, definitely not a mountain of sorts maybe? Definitely mountains though they were a rather beautiful sight Aleksandra seemed to get lost imagining how she could hide away at the top of the jagged snow cap mountains after all who would even dare try and hunt her down?

The young girl slightly frowned; she knew one person who would hunt her down no matter how much she tried to hide away. Was it too late to leave and go back home, the young girl thought. She really was not up for socializing, not only that socializing requires talking to strangers and talking to strangers means vulnerability. Vulnerability means breaking walls and breaking walls means losing all the lone wolf progress Aleksandra has worked hard to keep.

After all, the young second year did not start socializing till half way through the school year she prided herself on keeping her circle of acquaintances small as well. But now her circle could grow and the young girl was not up for that so maybe hiding in her tent during the whole summer camp was an option? Was it an option?

Aleksandra pondered for a minute as she felt her nose tickle slightly from the nippy air. Geeze the girl thought it would be a tad warmer than it felt or maybe it was just her who felt rather nippy maybe from just seeing all of this shimmering snow. Now where to go? Aleksandra was clueless she never had done this before and figured she may as well hunt down Tommy or even Astra at least one of them would know what to do right? If not they can be clueless together and Aleksandra was down for that as long as she did not have to suffer alone. And does Merlin know Tommy will be getting payback for begging the girl to join this dreaded camp.

Aleksandra thought bitterly to herself as she plotted ideas on hiding away being unseen barely noticeable, but little did the young girl know Summer camp may just be the outing she needed to actually find herself with her cold hearted self. Or she will suffer the whole time miserably while being surrounded by a bunch of other children and teenagers what could possibly go wrong?Actually anything could go wrong, usually anything associated with Hogwarts seemed to be cursed? Or maybe just a lack of misfortune but maybe summer camp would be a whole lot different.

Sighing airly to herself the platinum blonde girl wondered why on earth she even agreed to join this summer camp. Of course it could not be that bad right? Or it could be full of dread and misfortune.

The young girl thought back to what her Aunt Victoria said before leaving to attend camp. Mentioning something about having fun and lightening up? Why on earth would the young girl even do that if she had no care for making any ‘friends’ as her aunt mentioned nor did she wish to even have fun? Well Aleksandra figured she could try and figure out something in this winter wonderland. After all she was stuck here for a couple weeks, what could really happen? Besides maybe going insane from insanity or something along those lines.

Aleksandra seemed rather lost in her own world as if everything around her was gone from existence, just the young girl and her thoughts. Of course normally that would not be a rather horrid thing, but she was just standing still near the entrance blocking what little traffic was trickling in. The girl was rather short for a second year; she did not even grow much during the school year nor during the short break before camp started. Honestly if any older student saw the four foot three girl they may think was a lost child many students in her year were rather large or average height. Aleksandra on the other hand was semi-average if you asked her.

As the young girl just stood still her mind continued to wander. Anyone who did not know the girl may have thought she was nervous or scared, but in reality she was annoyed and ready to leave and go home. After all summer camp was not her cup of tea, nothing, but young first years older students and merlin knows what else could happen at this camp? After all it was organized by Hogwarts and everyone knows how drastic things happen quickly during Hogwarts events. Hopefully this Summer camp would be different for Aleksandra’s sanity she hoped to all that was good it would be different if not she would end up having to give Tommy a good lecture about begging her into joining something she did not wish to do in the first place.

Once EmmaLee had signed up for a tent, hoping that at least some of her international friends would join her once they found her name, she levitated her trunk, stepped out of the line, and set about releasing her great, fluffy, white cat out of the confines of her cat carrier. EmmaLee was particularly excited about this summer camp as she had made multiple international friends to enjoy it with. She tried to not think about how little real friends she made at her actual school and was immediately distracted from it anyway by her cat, Minx, leaping onto her shoulders in shock. The cat stared at the snow from EmmaLee's shoulders as if personally offended by this unexpected change in weather.

The sudden ball of fur in her face had distracted EmmaLee from focusing on her levitation charm and the midnight blue trunk crashed into the snow with a splat and a shower of snow in all directions, including spraying one girl (Aleksandra) with the fluffy, frozen water. Aside from the minor frustration of losing her spell, EmmaLee failed to notice her accidental attack as she tried to get Minx back onto the ground.

"It's only snow." EmmaLee said, putting the cat down and levitating her trunk again. It wasn't that Minx didn't like the snow, but the animal was expecting warm grass just as much as everyone else who had entered the stadium and was surprised and confused to step on snow instead. "Let's go." EmmaLee continued, turning to begin her search for her tent. She was stalled though as Minx sniffed around in the snow, seemingly to confirm that it was actual snow and not some kind of fake, decoration snow or something.

EmmaLee tapped her foot a couple of times impatiently, creating a soft crunch every time her boot hit the snow. "Are you quite done yet?" She asked, raising a pale, white eyebrow at the snuffling animal.

Aleksandra was minding her business as she was still scouring the area for a sign of anyone she knew. Blasted how it was that hard to find that idiotic brunette haired boy! Or even Astra she had red hair you would have thought she would stick out like a sore thumb but then again Aleksandra swore Hogwarts was overrun with redheads and brunettes sighing in frustration Aleksandra shook her head. A sigh escaped the girl's lips as she held her duffel bag over her shoulder. The air was frigid and the young girl sure was not dressed for this dread fluffy crystal water.

Aleksandra closed her eyes going into her thoughts. Honestly she should have spoken to Tommy prior sent and owl or something to set up a meeting spot or even with Astra, but unfortunately Aleksandra had failed to plan ahead she was to busy moping around and feeling sorry for herself in getting dragged into this nonsense that she did not plan ahead liked she normally tended to. So now the girl was stuck trying to figure out what to do? If she went to the tent assignments without her friends would they already have them in the same tent? Most likely Tommy hopefully was smart and put their names down together.

Once again Aleksandra sighed in frustration camp sure was stressful and full of frustrations the girl thought bitterly to herself. Why did she even agree to this nonsense? She could be home right now taking care of her precious plants or better yet not here the girl thought darkly to herself. Who would even be happy to be at this pitiful winter wonderland.

As the platinum blonde haired girl was lost in thought. She was reeled back to reality quickly with the feeling of frigid cold snow pelting her out of nowhere. Aleksandra blinked in confusion. Snow seemed to have made itself nestled on the top of her head. Her shirt got slightly damp from the sudden fluffy white crystal water. A scowl appeared on Aleksandra’s fair skin as she threw her duffel bag on the ground whipping her head around looking for the corporate who just made snow fall down on her. Was it some joke? Prank? Or just a challenge?

As Aleksandra turned she found an older girl talking to a fluffy cat who seemed to be very iffy on the snow that was resting on the ground where it should be and stayed at Aleksandra thought bitterly. As the young girl felt her eyebrow twitch did this girl honestly not realize she threw snow onto her or was she playing innocent? Aleksandra eyed the girl taking in her appearance her white blonde hair was much lighter than Aleksandra’s platinum blonde hair while the young girl had no idea what to do she also was frustrated.

Yanking her duffel bag off the ground, Aleksandra moved swiftly towards the older girl. Her gray eyes narrowed her while her platinum hair had bits of snow still on it melting slightly along with her outfit. The girl was not happy she looked as if she was a snowman. Moving closer towards the older girl Aleksandra dropped her duffel bag onto the ground as it picked snow up slightly.

It was obvious the older girl was taller than Aleksandra. Aleksandra was only four feet three inches while the other girl was a good eight inches taller than her. But that did not deter Aleksandra. She was not happy she was already freezing as it was and now to make matters worse she had gotten snow on her from this older girl.

“Maybe you should pay attention to where you drop your luggage. Innocent people could get harmed you know?”

As the words left Aleksandra they were light and feathery smooth like a dagger breaking the silence as her Scottish accent danced around the blade of her words. A hint of annoyance rested along her words as she continued to give the older girl an annoyed look.

Aleksandra had no idea who this girl was. Either she was from Hogwarts which would explain her manners or she was foreign student which would explain the light accent the girl could hear as the older girl was speaking to her cat.

Aleksandra eyed the cat. It sure was a pretty cat, but the young girl was too busy freezing her arse off to pay mind to it. As the young platinum haired girl continued to give the older girl an annoyed look her gray eyes were narrowed slightly as a storm brewed in her gray orbs like a summer's stormy afternoon.

Aleksandra could already tell how this summer camp was gonna start out and that was going to be a bit of a disaster that was for sure and if it could get worse oh it will be even better the young girl thought bitterly it truly was gonna be a summer to remember so far. Start off camp damp, cold and freezing yeah that sounds about right to Aleksandra.

EmmaLee jumped a little in surprise as someone came up beside her and spoke harshly. She turned to see a shorter, which almost always meant younger considering EmmaLee's own height, girl with platinum blonde hair scowling at her. A quick scan could tell that the girl was covered in snow and it was clear that when EmmaLee had lost her focus and dropped her trunk, she had accidentally sprayed the girl with snow, but harmed? She didn't really look harmed, just cold and wet.

"I'm sorry. My cat, Minx, was surprised by the snow and jumped on me. It made me lose my concentration and drop my trunk." EmmaLee said, apologizing anyway because she had covered the girl in snow. "Allow me to 'elp fix it, if I may." She said, waving her wand and casting the sunlight charm in hopes of warming the girl up and melting the snow.

Minx, for her part, sat in the snow and tipped her head to the side curiously at the girl, her tail twitching with interest at the exchange. The cat made no move to approach the new girl or cause any more mild chaos.

As EmmaLee waved her wand over the girl to try and warm her, she thought she had seen this girl around the halls at Hogwarts, but it was kind of hard to judge. There was an alarming amount of blonde people at Hogwarts and, as EmmaLee herself knew, an accent didn't necessarily give away your school. "Are you from 'Ogwarts?" She asked, hoping to at least move forward on a better foot by starting a small conversation.

A soft sigh escaped Aleksandra’s lips. She really should not allow her frustration of not wanting to be at camp allow her to be rude to others. Though in this case the older girl did start it in the young girl's mind. Of course putting blame on someone else just would not be fair after all.

Aleksandra rubbed the back of her head as the older girl seemed to apologize to the young girl. The older girl even offered to help warm the younger girl up feeling a warmth spread. Aleksandra slowly lightened up at least as light as she would be.

Gray eyes met with the cat that seemed to be the cause of trouble who knew such a cute fluffy creature would cause so much mayhem though the young girl could not be mad at such a cute face it would be rather rude of her if she was. Pulling her gaze from the fluffy looking cat Aleksandra turned her gaze back towards the older girl.

The more Aleksandra gazed at the older girl the more she thought how she looked rather pretty. The girl's blonde almost white hair seemed to reflect the snow covered ground just a tad brighter while the girl's eyes seemed mesmerizing like blue sapphires reflecting the sun's rays. The girl’s pale skin did her justice by making her freckles pop out; she truly looked beautiful. Aleksandra blinked in confusion when did she ever care about beauty? Though the girl even had a very nice light accent, was it rather strange? Was Aleksandra’s walls breaking. The young girl seemed to start having a mental battle. She refused to show weakness; she had no time for ‘friends’ or having anything close to it.

A sigh escaped the girl's lips once again as she crossed her arms, closing her eyes in thought. She really had no idea how to think after all how one even acts in a situation like this. The older girl did apologize and Aleksandra was not one to be unruly and rude to her seniors. The young girl knew better after all she had some form of manners. Scrunching up her face Aleksandra seemed rather confused on how to think or react; she really just wanted to disappear. This winter wonderland camp was not her plan for the summer nor did she even want to be here. As the young girl stayed in her thoughts she wondered how she even got conned into this place in the first place. Was she truly becoming weak?

Pulling herself from her own mind. The older girl asked Aleksandra a question. ‘Ogwarts? She must mean Hogwarts. Of course that was an interesting question. But not an odd question thinking that many students were here at this summer camp from the other schools after all. Blinking softly Aleksandra gave the older girl a blank look though nodding her head slightly. Was this girl also from Hogwarts or maybe Beauxbatons with that slight french accent would not surprise the young girl, but then again only time could tell.

“Yes I am from Hogwarts and you? What school are you from?”

Aleksandra spoke curiously as her scottish accent drifted between the two girls softly.

Aleksandra was curious though forgetting her previous fit of frustration. This girl seemed to make her forget her worries and calm slightly. Though that seemed to make Aleksandra rather confused. But then again the young girl has noticed she seems more calmer around the older students. Maybe it is a respect thing but who knew because the young girl had no clue after all.

Aleksandra felt slightly warmer now that she was no longer covered in snow, but it did not change the fact that this summer camp was a winter wonderland which made the young girl scowl glancing at the white snowy crystals that scattered the ground. Seriously who’s bright idea was it to have winter in the middle of July?

EmmaLee nodded as the girl confirmed her suspicions and returned her question. Thankfully, the girl seemed to calm down once she realized that it had been an accident and once EmmaLee had dried and warmed her up a little. The girl was still a little surly-looking though, crossing her arms and looking deep in thought before actually opening her mouth to respond, which could be a number of things including the unexpected snow or, maybe, she just didn't want to be here at camp, at all.

EmmaLee herself wasn't the most fond of snow. It was cold and wet when she would rather be inside and warm next to a fire, but there were fun things about the snow and EmmaLee had already decided to have a good time and make the best of it when she had walked onto the unexpectedly snowy grounds. Making the best of it was all the better when she had good friends to make the best of it with, which reminded her that she had a tent to get to, but it would be rude to just abandon this girl in the middle of a conversation after EmmaLee had covered her in snow.

"I am from 'Ogwarts, also, yes. A sec- well a third year, now, 'Ufflepuff." She said with a bright smile. "I'm EmmaLee LeDames and this troublemaker is Minx." She said, with a wink at the cat, putting her wand in a blue holster on her thigh and holding out her hand to the girl's to shake. "Are you looking for your friends or your tent?" She asked, trying to be helpful. With everyone else continuing to bustle around them, it was a bit odd for a student to have been standing around enough to get blasted by snow. Everyone around them seemed to have some place they were determined to get to quickly. If not to find their friends, then to find somewhere warm to get away from the cold in the middle of summer.

Minx padded over to the still-grounded trunk, hopped onto it, and used the higher vantage point to sniff at the new girl's fingers, assessing her now that she had calmed down in a way. After an intense couple of sniffs, the cat sat back on its haunches and stared up at the girl expectantly. It was a little hard to read if Minx was ready to get moving or if the animal wanted the girl to pet her.

"Although she is a troublemaker," EmmaLee said, wrinkling her nose playfully at her cat, "She is very friendly. You can pet her if you'd like." She offered with a smile. Minx's ears twitched and she the cat tipped her head to the side slightly as if confirming her owner's offer. Her fluffy, white tail twitched with interest as the girl made her decision.

Though the air was still frigid and slightly chilly. Aleksandra felt slightly better, now the young girl would be better off if it was actually summer instead of this wintery wonderland. Aleksandra was confused who decided that this winter neverland was frigid, chilly and wet due to the icy particles that rest like gentle clouds on the ground.

The platinum blonde girl gazed towards the older girl with the wavy white hair that seemed to cascade down her shoulders like little waterfalls. The older girl seemed graceful though a tad careless, but what did Aleksandra expect from the students of Hogwarts? Carelessness is in their nature and always will be the girl thought to herself quietly.

"I am from 'Ogwarts, also, yes. A sec- well a third year, now, 'Ufflepuff."

The older girl spoke. Which peeked Aleksandra’s attention this girl was only a year above her and not only that was part of the house of Badgers. Aleksandra had not met many Hufflepuffs actually the girl pretty much stuck to conversing with Slytherins and Siobhan that was it even then the girl kept her circle nonexistent of course she did not like socializing so interacting with others was always draining. But meeting a Hufflepuff seemed strange, supposed to explain the girl's carelessness and bubbly nature.

"I'm EmmaLee LeDames and this troublemaker is Minx."

Even the girl’s name sounded rather pretty. Aleksandra stopped for a second glancing down at Minx. The pretty fluffy cat seemed rather cute, but Aleksandra could definitely tell the little thing was known for trouble just by the twitch of its tail.

Aleksandra blinked softly before reality sat in with the young girl. Straightening up slightly Aleksandra gazed towards EmmaLee with a blank expression, her gray eyes held curiosity but very little emotion like a void in the darkness.

“Aleksandra. Aleksandra FairBairn.”

Aleksandra spoke softly, her scottish accent danced gently around the duo like a graceful feather drifting among the air.

Aleksandra noticed the girl’s hand was out to shake of course late to reality as always the girl thought to herself. Socializing really was not her forte. Gentle, the smaller girl grabbed the girl's hand, shaking it gently but firmly in a respectful manner. Aleksandra was not one who knew how to interact and hand shakes were one of the few things she has ever done. So being slightly awkward about it was just fitting for the young girl.

"Are you looking for your friends or your tent?"

The older girl asked Aleksandra. Aleksandra did not blame the girl for asking though the mention of friends made the young girl's eyebrow twitch. She loathed that word. Friends are just another way for someone to betray you, break your heart and make you build yourself back up from nothingness, the girl thought bitterly.

It was not EmmaLee’s fault she after all did not know Aleksandra and did not realize the girl did not have friends she did have people that seemed to be around a lot but they were not friends. They weren’t… It was impossible after all Aleksandra was keen on being a lone wolf living Hogwarts as an NPC so nobody would notice her as a background character in her own story; that was her destiny the girl thought bitterly. A background character.

Realizing the young girl had not responded to the older one that was near her Aleksandra blinked once again tilting her head to the side.

“I am just looking for an acquaintance of mine. Well either of them would work have no idea were we are placed actually was conned into this dreadful winter wonderland honestly.”

Aleksandra spoke softly in her airy Scottish accent giving a blank stare towards EmmaLee. The younger girl was slightly annoyed; she had no idea where she was going, what to do or who to even look for. It was a tad chaotic in her own little world.

"Although she is a troublemaker, She is very friendly. You can pet her if you'd like."

Hearing the older girl speak once again. Made Aleksandra glance down at the fluff ball that was by the older girl's feet. Kneeling slightly Aleksandra examined the cat more. Of course the young girl was itching to pet the fluffy cat though she also was a bit timid. What if Minx decided to attack her the girl doubts it but cats are unpredictable. Aleksandra reached her right hand out gently allowing Minx to sniff the young girl awaiting for the cat to give permission for pets.

"It's lovely to meet you, Aleksandra." EmmaLee said brightly with a small chuckle as the girl shook her hand and introduced herself. "Aside from the circumstances of our meeting. It seems like almost everyone is surprised by the theme of this year's summer camp." She said, adding an emphasis on "summer" for the irony. "I mean, I guess those students from the southern hemisphere are a little more comfortable with this weather, now that I think about it. They probably just left the snow behind." She said thoughtfully, putting the knuckle of her index finger to her lip.

EmmaLee raised a pale eyebrow as the mention of Aleksandra's supposed friends brought a new shadow across the girl's face. Then she mentioned finding some acquaintances and made her distaste for this year's theme clear. EmmaLee tipped her head to the side curiously. "Do you not like snow, or do you not like expecting one thing and getting another?" She smirked, remembering some comments from an earlier camp at the Stadium. "I have a friend who is very frustrated that they call it "camp" when it isn't in the woods." She said, covering her mouth and chuckling a little.

As Aleksandra continued to vent her frustration about not only disliking the "winter wonderland" but being rather lost in what to do overall, EmmaLee nodded sympathetically. "Well, we could walk over to the tent list and see if your acquaintances have signed up for a tent already and you could join or find them there?" She offered, ever the Helpful Hufflepuff, even though a portion of her mind was definitely thinking about her own tent. It wasn't like anyone was waiting for her, yet, she inwardly reminded herself, and she really wasn't the kind of person to leave an upset person alone without offering some kind of assistance or comfort. Admittedly, sometimes grumpy people just wanted to be left alone to be grumpy, but EmmaLee had to try at least before going on her merry way.

While the girls talked, Minx sniffed Alexandra's offered hand and butted her head against it, using it to pet herself and giving a loud purr in response. EmmaLee smiled a little wider seeing that cat's behavior out of the corner of her eye as she spoke to the other girl. Minx always had an excellent judge of character, so if Minx liked Aleksandra, EmmaLee did, too.

Aleksandra? Aleksandra? Wait Did she just say her full name? Blinking slowly Aleksandra thought back to introducing herself. What did she say? Aleks right? No, no, no that was not it. SHe actually told this stranger er EmmaLee her full name, her actual name. Though she knew people would learn it in class no matter how she would ask or demand politely to be called Aleks not everyone listened. But the platinum haired girl just messed up horribly. She told that dreaded name the name ‘she’ gave her. The girl thought bitterly scowling to herself. How did she drop her guard? Why did she drop her guard?

Aleksandra inhaled a deep breath of the frigid air around her. The girl needed to calm her nerves. She truly was opening her walls and she could feel her world shattering slightly. That was not good, not good at all, the young girl thought bitterly to herself.

"It's lovely to meet you, Aleksandra."

EmmaLee spoke once again. Hearing her name leave the older girl's lips made Aleksandra flinch slightly at the name.

It was not like she was scared of her name or mind. Her name just held some hidden harm and memories she rather not focus on. After all, Aleksandra was a pretty name. Just the name was something the girl just could not stand to hear anymore.

Aleksandra cleared her throat slightly. Fidgeting slightly, kicking the snow gently at her feet awkwardly. Her gray eyes staring into EmmaLee’s mesmerizing blue ones. Something about this girl seemed calming and for that reason made Aleksandra feel sick to her stomach being weak and vulnerable that was not on her bucket list this summer. Of course going to camp was not on that bucket list either.

“Aleks…”

Aleksandra muttered softly. As if her courage escaped her for a second. Taking in another breath of the frigid air the younger girl glanced up at EmmaLee with a straight face. No need to be afraid, no need to be vulnerable. Aleksandra thought bitterly to herself, sure she was unnaturally calm for some reason but that gives nobody a reason to call her that name.

“Please Aleks. I prefer Aleks.”

Aleksandra once again spoke to the other girl she had to make her point known but also trying to hide her vulnerability. Being vulnerable that was a fear the young girl could not stand the fear of being walked over betrayed thrown to the side to fix oneself once again.

"Aside from the circumstances of our meeting. It seems like almost everyone is surprised by the theme of this year's summer camp."

Surprised? Aleksandra thought to herself. Of course everyone is surprised if you walk out of the stadium it is all sunshine and warm the moment you walk into this dreaded stadium it is nothing but frigid cold and snow everywhere. At least there was still a sun at least but like what if it stormed on the outside would it be a blizzard inside?! Aleksandra started getting curious after all what if it magically started having a blizzard inside or were they safe? Maybe the girl should ask a supervisor or maybe Tommy, but the girl doubted that boy would know a thing, but maybe he did. He seemed to be ‘smart’ when he wanted to.

"I mean, I guess those students from the southern hemisphere are a little more comfortable with this weather, now that I think about it. They probably just left the snow behind."

Aleksandra reeled herself back to reality glancing at EmmaLee she was correct though about the students from the southern hemisphere but then again those poor souls must have been excited to get out of the dreaded snow. Seriously, whose bloody idea was it to have snow in the middle of July?! Aleksandra figured she could find someone and hound them about it. After all this was a dreadful idea how frigid it was how there was nothing but snow everywhere! It should be warm and sunny! Not this! The girl scowled, staring down at the ground once again lost in her thoughts.

"Do you not like snow, or do you not like expecting one thing and getting another?"

Hearing those words leave EmmaLees mouth seemed to make the girl ponder. Aleksandra did not mind the snow though the frozen ice crystals always left a cold feeling. They were rather pretty and Aleksandra respected nature enough to enjoy it when it was that time of season, but this is the summer season not the winter season. Thinking of an answer Aleksandra gazed towards EmmaLee with a curious expression tapping her index finger against her chin.

“I do not mind snow during the winter time as you can see it is July. Which means it is summer which means we should have sunshine and scattered showers and storms not this. So I suppose I was not expecting this winter wonderland, but I rather have a nice rain shower or storm in all honesty, but all is lost now and I only have a few long sleeves packed in my duffel bag sadly. I guess I’ll borrow from a tentmate if they have anything warm.”

Aleksandra seemed to ramble slightly, her airy scottish accent drifted around the duo with a hint of annoyance and sternness to it as it drifted like a soft feather in the winter air.

The platinum haired girl crossed her arms across her chest in thought, scrunching up her eyebrows a bit. Though the girl was a ‘pureblood’ she was really confused on why anyone would want winter all year long after all the summer season was one of the most appealing of seasons besides spring or even fall. Fall was a lovely season, the girl thought to herself.

"I have a friend who is very frustrated that they call it "camp" when it isn't in the woods."

Hearing the older girl chuckle a bit, Aleksandra raised her eyebrow slightly. Why was that funny to the older girl though she supposedly understood the older girls ‘friend’ reasoning. Camp is not camp unless you are truly outdoors under the watchful eye of mother nature the young girl thought to herself quietly. Though at the same time why chuckle about something like that it confused the younger girl.

"Well, we could walk over to the tent list and see if your acquaintances have signed up for a tent already and you could join or find them there?"

Glancing towards the area the older girl seemed to gesture out. Aleksandra blinked before thinking to herself. Of course maybe Tommy had already signed her up brilliant hopefully that was the case, worse comes to worse the girl will just hunt down Astra or something who knew.

“Oh you are right? I honestly did not think of that, but I also did not expect my summer stuck at camp either.”

The young girl sighed to herself as she spoke. Her airy tone seemed to drift around in the wind as a strand of platinum hair fell in front of her face. The young girl's Scottish accent was rather soft with a dreary tone as her gray eyes held an unknown emotion, annoyance maybe? Or maybe a bit of timidness.

Aleksandra was not one for camping with others and socializing really was not the girls forte she really wished to hop back on the train go home and disappear. Blinking, the young girl felt Minx rub against her hand. She had forgotten that she knelt down to pet the fluffy feline. Minx’s fur was rather soft to the touch similar to a fuzzy teddy bear. Feeling her fingers twine with the feline's fur, Aleksandra felt less annoyed; the cat seemed to really know how to calm her annoyance.

Aleksandra grew lost in thought as she listened to the cat's gentle purrs as her fingers grazed against Minx’s head. The cat was rather soft and their fur was extremely soft like a feather pillow. It was refreshing and honestly one of the highlights of camp as of this moment that is. Who knew maybe more good things will bless the girl or summer camp will be an utter disaster.

EmmaLee raised an eyebrow as the girl sheepishly told her to call her Aleks, but she mentally shrugged it off. Maybe she hadn't heard that the first time. "Ah. I'm sorry. Aleks it is." She said, still smiling.

EmmaLee watched the girl, for someone who seemed so abrupt and closed off at first, she was rather like an open book. EmmaLee could tell immediately the parts about their conversation that bothered her; the mention of friends, her visible aversion to her whole name, the general fact that she seemed to not want to be here. Admittedly, EmmaLee found it quite curious that talking about friends bothered her but she clearly cared very much about these acquaintances she was looking for.

EmmaLee listened attentively as Aleks went on about the switch in weather. Again, for such a closed-off girl, she sure talked a lot, which EmmaLee did not mind at all. She was kind of glad that the girl seemed to be comfortable letting her opinion out. EmmaLee put a knuckle to her lip in thought for a moment.

"Well, for one, I am probably just going to owl my maman to send me some warmer clothes, and there is apparently a dancing activity that I will need a dress for." She said, shuffling through some of the papers in her hand for the activity itinerary. She had glanced over it while waiting to be able to sign up for the Stargazer tent, which seemed to be a popular one. "There is also, I suppose, a beach-themed tent that you can sign up for if your... associates, 'aven't signed you up for something already." She chuckled a little thinking about some of the tents she saw that were already full with the same penmanship for every name. It was clear that some people had signed their friends up for them. Maybe they had prearranged to stay together, which would have been a good idea for EmmaLee to do with Stephen, Kaya, and Sara now that she thought of it way too late.

"It seems that some people took the liberty of signing people up for their tents and some people left their tent open for people to join. Would you like to go and see? I have my own tent to get to but I don't mind walking back over to the sign-ups with you." EmmaLee finished, smiling widely at the girl.

For some reason, she felt compelled to not leave the girl alone in this grumpy state she was in. She was making it very clear that she was only here for her "acquaintances" and had not planned on coming at all, but EmmaLee hoped that once everything had really started, and Aleks was in a warmer tent, that she would end up having fun. After all, EmmaLee had gone into her first camp "whole hog" so to speak, had had a terrible time overall, and had given it a second chance only because of Stephen and had a wonderful time the second go.
