🔎︎ QUICK LOOKx brown hair, back length | hazel eyes | tan skin | athletic, slightly tall A head of long brown hair hangs down to her lower back, preferring to keep her hair down or in simple hair styles. Delaney stands at around 5’ (152 cm), just above average height. Maybe slightly taller if she straightened the slight slouch in her usually relaxed posture. Even though she doesn’t particularly physically stand out by any means, Delaney carries a subtle outward air of confidence in herself. Tan complexion and an average build, a bit more athletic due to her hobby of playing football (soccer). Her face is mostly round, home to high cheekbones and a small rounded nose. Delaney’s eyes are almond shaped, the hazel brown color inherited from her mother. It’s near impossible for her to hide any emotion, her features always displaying it in some way, unless she specifically tries not to let it show (which she normally doesn’t even bother trying)

----PERSONALITY‎----

In terms of her cuurent personality, Delaney was raised to always try to remain polite with strangers, especially if they were authority. On the surface, she is an average polite, outgoing, and confident girl who follows the rules responsibly. Delaney cares passionately about those who gained her trust, extremely loyal to her bones, there isn’t much she wouldn’t do for them. Oftentimes taking on a caring role, it's obvious she is an eldest sister. If close enough to someone, she will put their needs above her own, even if a bit unhealthy. An affable and compassionate girl with subtle charm and sharp wit, relatively nice and fun-loving unless you’ve crossed her in some way. She isn't all sunshine, though. Upon further inspection, Delaney takes clearly after her father and his teachings in certain aspects of her personality. Steadfast and a tenaciously hard-working girl, there is little that she doesn’t have the willpower to overcome to achieve whatever her mind is set on. Straight-shooting and direct, can be described as bold, assertive, and sometimes headstrong. However, her temper and patience isn’t as long-lasting as she would hope it to be, and once they have run thin, she can become quite rash in her choices, knowing they could be mistakes but not caring enough in the moment to quite care, sometimes a bit too aggressive or judgmental. Delaney was taught to be smart and polite, yes, but never take any nonsense. Inwardly, Delaney is ambitious, eager to please and make her family proud, and because of her self-inflicted standards- a self-critical perfectionist, nothing she does is ever quite good enough for herself and there is a constant need to prove herself. Especially in the magical world she is new to, pressure to achieve highly and to prove she is good enough to belong here weighs heavy on her shoulders. She finds sincerity difficult at times when it comes to matters that affect her heart, her outgoing and bold outer shell of self-assuredness masking the vulnerability and emotions she has yet to come to terms with. Delaney herself would not admit it, but she sometimes struggles with feeling inferior to her younger sister, living in her shadow, that fear hidden away and shut tight in her heart. PERSONAL HISTORY Reducio PRE-HOGWARTS (this is so bland im sorry i promise ill add more to it when i have time :'o ) ───────── Hailing from the large city of Birmingham, Delaney Magindara was born on a summer day in the middle of August, eldest child to Tala and Crisanto Magindara. Both of her parents muggles themselves, with Filipino and British heritage. A few years later, Delaney’s younger sister, Nadine, was born. The two grew up in Birmingham their whole lives, Tala working diligently as a nurse and Crisanto as a firefighter-paramedic to support their family. Since Nadine’s birth, she and Delaney have been as close as sisters could get, even now. Though Nadine has always been Delaney’s more sensitive and sweet counterpart. Though their hard-working parents always meant well, often coming home tired, Nadine would often require more attention as their youngest child, and their loving parents would of course give it. Unfortunately, that meant Delaney would usually get the short end of the stick, even if they didn’t intend it. Delaney would never let Nadine see how tired their parents were because of them and work, would always take full responsibility and harsh scoldings when Nadine did something seriously troublesome, not letting anything ruin her baby sister's sunny disposition. Most of Delaney’s childhood consisted of aiming high to please her parents and make them proud of their eldest daughter, making sure she didn’t do anything to further burden her parents, and caring for her beloved little sister, obligations of the oldest. Though their parents are very doting and loving, Nadine is a bit more cradled and delicate, Delaney turning out to be much more independent than her sister because of this. There is nothing Delaney wouldn’t do for her family, they mean everything to her. Around the age of ten, both of the Magindara sisters in primary school, Delaney caught a few of the older students picking on her little sister and pushing her around, the latter crying and defenseless- natural for a seven-year-old. Delaney knew her odds, one scrawny girl fueled by rage versus three older kids. It was stupid, she knew that, but all of her logic had exited as soon as Nadine was victim to any harm. Of course, with no hesitation, she helped her sister up from the ground and placed herself in between Nadine and the other kids, unafraid of confrontation. She demanded them to leave her alone, which only caused the older kids to erupt in laughter. Not for long, as soon as they tried to move to pick on Delaney as well, mighty gusts of wind hurled them back onto their behinds all at once. Delaney now stood over them with a clenched fist and eyes narrowed in blazing anger. It was safe to say they didn’t pick on Nadine ever again after they ran in fear. But that gust of wind was peculiar, what a coincidence it hadn’t even swept one hair from her or Nadine. Almost like magic. In truth, Delaney was afraid to even dwell on it, that it meant something was wrong with her. Maybe she was crazy The same year she turned eleven, Delaney’s family was paid a visit by a very pretty woman with white hair, the Deputy Headmistress of some “Hogwarts” school. The woman explained that Delaney was some sort of witch, and even with her parents’ inherited Filipino superstitiousness, they were skeptical. But suddenly that instance with those kids in school made sense. What other explanation could be there other than magic? But they soon embraced that Delaney was special, Nadine most excited that magic existed and that her own sister possessed it. Attending this school, entering this strange new side of the world she thought she knew, it would be a challenge, sure. But those, she happened to like. Delaney Magindara is the first witch in her family, and she found herself hungry to achieve just as high in the magical world as she strived to do before. Determined to bring her family pride in their daughter. Reducio

befriended (+) Reducio --> the "befriended" catagory is exactly what it sounds like. positive relationships, like friends, close friends, and admired professors will be here ! delaney is extremely loyal, so a character would have to betray her pretty bad for them to drop lower.

in between (+/-) Reducio --> pretty self explanitory, this is the middle ground between friends or disliked. this is where characters who have a neutral relationship with delaney. this is also where complicated relationships with mixed feelings will go. kind of just a catch-all for relationships that don't fit any of the other three catagories !

disliked (-) Reducio --> delaney is a bit different than frosty, she will have a few characters that she dislikes ! this catagory is for any character that isn't in delaney's favor, ranging from "annoyance" to "arch nemesis." not much effort is required to have a character considered annoying, more to fully reach nemisis status. redemption depends on how far on the scale she considers the other character !
