Truth or Dare — Group FOUR
EXPLANATIONReducio› Students have been separated into smaller randomized groups (15-16 per group)
› Round A: Students have (ICly) each received their target as determined by the firing of the canon (determined by me OOCly with randomized rolls) and have been told the choice (truth or dare) of that individual.› Round B: Students either answer the question, fulfil the contract of the dare, or choose to back down (either through RP or failure to post) from the game. Additionally, students will again write either TRUTH or DARE in a note at the bottom of their post for the next round's considerationRight now, you must write your character arriving on the ship, receiving the crumpled paper from the canon with the name of your target and their choice of either truth or dare, and then administering that truth/dare to the individual
› Round A and B repeat in this way with a newly randomized assigned target. Students will have one week each round to submit their posts
› Failure to post by a round's deadline will result in the assumption that the character froze up and declined to continue. They will be removed from the game
› All IC rules still apply and IC consequences are possible depending on the situationSite rules and rating will also always apply. All dare and truths must comply with them.ICly, the game takes place Aug 14th
〘 THE SETTING 〙
Marooned and out to sea. Those that had the daring gall to sign up for this summer's rounds of Truth or Dare would find themselves sectioned off to longboats and rowed out to their designated ship, each flying a massive flag to identify their numbered groups and anchored to the deeper areas of the magically flooded stadium. Were the ships functional? Absolutely not. Lack even a full hull below the black mirrored surface of the water, they could be considered massive props at best. Still, they made for an impressive setting for the fun to be had.
Drawing parallel to the boats and climbing to the hull, students would climb the steep wooden steps up the walls of its body to spill out onto the wooden ship deck. Chairs and cushions had been arranged in a circular medley of seating for those in attendance. A table had been set up at the bow of the ship with any finger food or refreshment a student might possibly desire.
To port, students would notice a number of chests. investigation would reveal them to be packed to the brim with costumes and props: from hand hooks to eye patches; stuffed parrots to false pistols; pirate coats to large colonial chapeaus... if it might conceivably have anything at all to do with pirates or sailing, it could be found within this veritable treasure trove.
Then there was the structure of the ship itself. While the deck served as the primary place of gathering and play, there were other features to consider.
At its centre, a large pole served as the mainmast, metal rungs leading up to the crow's nest high above. Roped shrouds descended at an angle from there to attach at the rails of the deck to port and starboard. The port side also boasted a long gangplank that extended well beyond the edge of the ship to hover threateningly over the water. Not to cause any worry, however, any who might find themselves taking a long walk off a short pier would find shark-shaped floaties waiting in the water below and easily accessible ladders to climb back up to deck.
To the stern, stairs could be found to either side framing a pair of doors and leading up to a raised platform overlooking the deck. There, with a great view of the false ocean ahead, stood a replica wheel to imitate a functional helm. It wouldn't steer the boat anywhere, of course, but that didn't mean it wouldn't still be fun to play pretend.
And finally, beneath the helm, what would normally occupy the captain's quarters and officer's room had been refurbished into something of small sitting areas. In a pinch, they could each be used as a private changing room; or, alternatively, a quiet place to decompress if the chaos of the game became too much; or even as a place of banishment or seclusion should a dare require it...
But how would they determine to whom they would present their truths and their dares? This was, perhaps, the most enticing prop of all. A small canon would sit in the middle of the social circle. At the start of each round, all players would be required to load their names into its barrel. Swiveling about, it would go from student to student and fire off a crumple piece of paper into the waiting hands or lap of the recipient, thereby assigning their victim target.
Ultimately, the ship was at the full disposal of the young witches and wizards who would find themselves playing the part of its new crew. In the name of Truth or Dare, imagination was the only limitation. What happened on the ship, stayed on the ship (maybe). And at the end of the game, the students would be loaded back into the rowboats to be taken back to shore.

Sta 3 | Eva 4 | Str 2 | Wis 12 | Arc 10 | Acc 9The 13-year-old superhero obsessed boy was obviously exhausted, but he felt an odd, yet unique, feeling that he had to come to truth or dare. He saw the canon first; it was wondering what it was idling meant for. He put he put his name on a piece of paper and wasn’t quite sure exactly what he had to do, so he threw in his name as a crumbled piece of paper. He was looking forward to seeing how the same with work, and it just so happened that soon as he started to sit down on one of the cushions, that a name shut up seem to have teamed and hit Noah. He on crumbled paper and on that paper says the name @Aly Salinger. Could he really do that, make a negative outlook on Aly? Or a really positive outlook? Well perhaps it is time to ask her truth or dare. As the girl choose truth Noah had to determine a question.
The question was truly, how would he choose the truth? How mean would he want to be? What do you want it due? Those are questions that Noah had to keep asking himself he doesn’t want to be considered mean he didn’t want to consider losing out on things that could possibly impact him in a negative outlook. So the time has come for him to officially speak his mind and ask a question and I’ll honestly, then it might be time for Noah to ask something wise, so he took a moment to think about it.
He got it. This was his question.
“Have you ever intentionally embarrassed someone in public?“

The was not a situation that he was necessarily comfortable with, to be honest, he didn't tend to interact with the younger students that embodied the house. Hell, he didn't even consider them worth the thought of being named upon his own house, so confident, so cocky. One might even question if he was even supposed to be a part of this house in general. The boy stood, tall, pale, and in dark clothing that didn't represent the house at all. It was quite clear that he wasn't even sure why he even participated in this event in general.
Looking down upon the information he was given, 'truth', how simple, he thought. The fact was that these little ones had no courage at all, who wouldn't choose to dare, truth as a first year couldn't even be known to anyone who mattered. "How boring," he chimed a loud, standing slowly from his seated place amongst the gathered crowd upon the standard he was set. Oddly enough he knew which face implying his question was towards, he smirked, and directed his question toward the individual he was designated.
"True or false, you're too weak to be in this house?" he questioned, it was so typical of him, questioning the authority of the sorting hat and always undervaluing his own housemates. There were very few he found equal and looking upon this little frail figure, he thought it quite resembled a quaint Huffle. Challenging him would be his ideal, crushing little ones was fun, he always wanted these minute creatures to dare to play with him. The boy has crushed many, banned from the dueling team, and restricted from the house's social atmosphere in general.
The boy dared the little Gryff to challenge his question. "I suggest you walk the plank, or, we'll see how far a firsty can fly,"

Sta 8 | Eva 10 | Str 11 | Wis 6 | Arc 5 | Acc 5The Russian boy came all the way from Koldovstoretz, And what he came for was simply summer camp. He knew he had something big planned going over the next few weeks.
The one thing he could definitely not stop thinking about was Quittitch. He hated that he had to deal with the amount of hate he had for Durmstrang, because they didn’t have enough people from Koldovstorez to come over to the London Quidditch stadium.
Amongst all of the excitement he were having, he also had to think about how he was looking forward to being part of hex wizard. A slow Lonesome walk towards where the secular seeing reset, Edward started to take a short look around and he noticed that there was a Canon, but why exactly was there a Canon?
He took a piece of paper and crumbled it up, making sure his name was put on it, underneath his name, though, was the Russian form of his name.
The next segment of some what joy was when Ever had to put his name in. Thank you and the same for the person next to them, was it Noah, not that ever knew who it was he never actually met the person, he received a piece of crumbled up paper, and on that paper was @Alec Mason and he requested dare.
It was almost as if Alec could’ve literally just walked up to his face and said screw you. Edward had a ton of good dares but they were really dangerous and he didn’t want to harm anyone. He also didn’t want to risk losing his magic. So now Edward had to actually consider some thing that could be considered safe. But oh what’s the dare?
Edward explained with the light, he knew what the day would be, now hopefully Clair wasn't, well, around otherwise Edward would be dead.
“Alec, I dare you to get a kiss from me, just on your cheek.”

Truth or Dare — Group FOUR

Interfaced with: @George Rees
The atmosphere was pretty damn net, she was not going to lie but she also was far too adult-like and cool to make a big deal. She would take a seat after finding an eyepatch, she was going to rock that eyepatch. With a loaded cannon and a 'cannonball' of paper fired, she was given a name...
A very normal teenage girl doing very normal teenage things like playing a game of Truth or Dare. Yes, she was engaging in a common juvenile pastime. The game was simple, you agree to either do a truth or a dare, truths being not particularly 'fun' and not at all daring because someone can be 'dared' to answer the dang question is it was pressing enough and there was in truth no assurance that whatever was said was in fact the truth beyond someone's declared word. If verisatium was involved this would be a lot more interesting.
She was tasked with giving George Rees, whoever that was a DARE. The pallid youth with brillopad-like hair likely did not know what he was in for. "Alright," she announced as she gave the boy a once over. Dares were meant to be challenges, things that could be accomplished with either great difficulty or incredible (possibly cruel) humor. "I dare you to switch outfits with any girl besides me," she decreed. A dare that had two parts, the awkward request or rather demand, the uneasy acquiescence of one of the other girls here and then ultimate exchange. "Stay in each others' outfit for the next two rounds," she concluded. A simple, yet mortifying challenge.
Perhaps someone here would do the boy a favor and dare one of the girls to be the other half of the exchange. Ideally someone in a frilly frock but it was unlikely she was going to get anything more humorous than ill-fitting cut off shorts and a spaghetti string tank top. Good enough, perhaps one of their friends had a camera on hand for the moment.
Action: Erin dares George Rees to change outfits with a girl of his choice, unless someone posts before he does and dares one of the girls to be the other half.
Just a trick of the lighting they said...

Finnegan marveled at the sheer scale of the ship. All of this for a simple game? The entire stadion, flooded with water, the longboats, the vast main ship. Whoever had planned the event had gone absolutely ham with whatever they'd been given to accomplish the setpiece. On the way to the main ship he'd dipped his hand in the cool water a few times and determined that it wasn't an illusion, or that he couldn't tell the difference if itwas.
Once aboard the main ship he took note of the chests, overflowing with theme-appropriate props and goodies. He couldn't resist the urge to get himself a wicked eye-patch and once he'd started rummaging through the chests, he couldn't stop grabbing things. By the end he'd gotten a coat, a belt, a cap, a sword, a gun and boots to finish the look. A quick visit to the hull private quarters later he re-emerged a changed boy and put his name in the cannon with a wicked grin plastered on his face.
The bit of paper that the canon fired at him contained a name he did not recognize. Lucinia Thawin, Truth. Looking around the gathered students he tried to guess who of them might be Lucinia but didn't get much further other than determining that it was a girl.
He considered several questions like what her favorite spell was, or which house she dislikes the most. He even entertained asking her what the worst thing she'd ever done was, but then decided against it. The game was supposed to be fun after all, so he asked the opposite instead.
"Lucinia," he said in his best pirate voice. His eyes roved over the group for someone to suddenly appear a little nervous. "You picked truth, an' you better tell the truth or it'll be keelhaulin' for you..." He had no illusions that idle threats from a ten-year old dressed as a pirate would really unnerve her, but he couldn't be faulted for lack of trying. "What's the best thing you have ever done for someone else?"
@Lucinia Thawin
Next round: Dare. Thank for the reminder Alec!

ALEC MASON Hex code: #3c0f8f Tags: @Cielle Johansen@Ivy Bellamy |
![]() |
Summer camp had an ongoing pirate ocean adventure theme thingy going on, and in all honesty, Alec was totally here for it. From the tents to all the games and small details, it was perfect. It was as if he were a world away from everything else, forgetting the second summer camp ended it back to school. Cramming studying in and- he didn't want to think about it, he didn't have to. Having just got onto the ship they'd been brought to, Alec took a moment to look around. Truly it was something out of a book and he couldn't help the smile he had peaking at the edges of his lips.
The costume chests were a tantalizing offer, he'd always been one for theatrics, and he was on a ship, Alec may as well play the part. At the ripe age of fourteen he found himself thoroughly invested in dressing to the part, spending a good few minutes digging through costume chests until he had a look that he felt cued the certain 'wow' factor he was aiming for.
Like a child in a candy store Alec would wonder the ship. Eyes glancing every which way he tried to take in as many details as he could, giving himself the time to explore and get a feel for the ship. Alec was here for truth or dare and already he had lists of dares filling out in his head from the location. A better time or place could not have been picked and just like that he soon found himself at the cannon loading in his slip of a paper, watching as each were dealed out, his attention to it ceased when he received his slip of paper.
Cielle Johansen, dare.
It certainly wasn't hard to spot her, having noticed the girl as she slipped her name into the cannon barrel. She had a pixie cut, her hair was a dark brown and her eyes a softer brown. From what Alec could see, she was the type who had trouble sitting still, perhaps energetic or just trouble staying focused. Either way, his dare would require physical activity, maybe it would help, at the very least she looked strong enough to carry it out.
Alec's lips would split into a grin as he waved in an attempt to catch her attention. He would walk over to her with a confident flourish and pep in his step eyes moving from the slip of paper, to the girl, to the slip of paper, and the girl once more. “Hey! Your Cielle right?” Alec asked his tone cheery and full of energy, even he was surprised. “Alec,” he'd offer his name and his left arm out for a friendly handshake. Pausing his lips would purse for a moment as he overlooked the other, his head would tilt to the side slightly before he finally spoke, “would you mind if I called you Cece for short? You look like a Cece,” it was of the utmost important he got the whole nickname thing out out the way. Alec was one step closer to getting down to business.
“It's kind of funny we're on a ship, don't you think?” Alec asked, his head turned and he would look out from the ship to the water. Even more funny may have been the fact they were in a flooded quidditch stadium. “We don't need it. I mean oceans are the friendliest bodies of water. They always greet you with a wave.” His eyes had become focused out on the water, past the plank, the shark shaped floaties. Alec smirked. “Sea what I did there?” he asked, seeming rather proud of his cringe-worthy pun accomplishments. “You can't kelp but laugh.” Alec wanted to go on though he felt he would be dragging out his theme fit puns for far too long.
Instead of taking the time or effort to explain himself, and what he was doing here, why he was talking to her, or if any of his ocean puns mattered; Alec would show her the slip of paper with her name on it, the slip of paper with her request for a dare. “Not many are daring enough to brave the dares of the person who has a fifty percent injury rate for all of his past dares given out combined.” Oh Alec was totally flubbing on the numbers, and playing it up for the effect, so what? He was having fun! He was allowed to seem menacing! There was a dare he'd given out that had ended with someone being injured! Cough Marius Brown cough. Alec wasn't proud of it or anything, but it was something that happened.
Alec turned back to Cece with a dramatic swoosh of his pirate coat. His head looked up towards the crow's nest, he pointed a finger to where he was looking. This dare was perhaps going to cause injury, however, it was why he picked it out for her, she seemed capable! “I dare you to climb up the metal rungs to the crow's nest,” he spoke, he didn't seemed done. Alec turned, pointing from the crow's nest his finger moved to the rope shrouds which were descending at an angle from it, going down and attached to various places. “From there it shouldn't be hard to walk onto the ropes bits that descend down, pick whichever one and walk down it.” The dare seemed simple enough in theory, Alec's eyes were lit with the true makings of a troublemaker, it was almost too bad he'd never had much of a detention at Hogwarts, how else would he have had a chance to showcase his inner-makings?
“Of course don't go yet. There's a catch.”
ReducioAlways how they got people, with a catch, it is only one little teensy additive, to make the dare stand out. The whole 'just when you think your dare was going to be easy' game. See, Alec had heard it was hard to pat your head and rub your stomach at the same time. He had no idea if it was true, though it definitely made his dare interesting. “While your walking down the rope, multi-tasking is supposed to keep things fun. Pat your head and rub your stomach.” Once Alec finished speaking he shrugged as if to say 'the end', all he had to do now was wait. Would she accept the dare or would she not? Only time will tell.

| ── | she knew summer camp was a spectacle to behold but this was something else. the massive tents had been an adjustment but it seemed like a kid's paradise every single day. lucky hadn't felt bad about missing camp the first couple of times. especially if it was anything like this. every single day was an adventure and lucky felt pretty grateful to be there. the moment they ushered the students onto longboats, lucky was amazed. there were actual pirates ship! in a stadium! she had the good sense to know they likely wouldn't sail but she was mind blown. when the boats stopped, lucky was one of the first to climb off.
she ambled up the stairs, missing one in her excitement and slipping down. she almost went crashing into the kids behind her but quickly righted herself. from there, she enjoyed boundless exploration of the ship. there were groups of children running to and fro -- checking out their surroundings, the same as she was. lucky was happy to explore alone. when she came across a trunk full of props, she almost laughed her head off with excitement. pulling items out, lucky immediately dressed herself. she didn't even need to change. she simply pulled the coat on over her t-shirt, strapped the belt around her jeans, snapped the eye patch into place, and primly placed the feathered hat on her head. there wasn't a mirror around -- but she knew she was a sight. instead of focusing on just why they were on the boat, lucky adventured around and ignored the blasts of the canon. only when she got curious about it did she make her way towards it. the loud BOOM that erupted with each name being expelled made her jolt with surprise. she watched paper rain down on other kids and when it echoed again -- lucky knew that it was her turn. she jumped into the air, seizing the crumpled up sheet that was blasting in her direction. lucky couldn't wait to unravel it, walking along the starboard side of the ship. she didn't recognize the name but called it out anyway. ❛ cassie mcgregor-martin...?❜ lucky peered around the ship, wondering if she saw someone who seemed to be trying to get her attention. she was a little thing so she didn't see over the many people around. with a mischievous grin, lucky climbed onto the ship's railing, clinging to the thick ropes that ascended into the sky as far as she could see. ❛ cassie mcgregor-martin!❜ lucky yelled out, tossing the paper onto the deck and brandishing her sword in a dramatic fashion. ❛ i dare ye...to walk the plank! and survive!❜ she didn't want to start the day with really daring things. walking the plank and taking the risk of whether or now they'd make it off the jutting plank of wood without falling into the water seemed tame enough. ────────────────────── ㅤ ೃ⁀➷ㅤ──────────────────────

Marina looked around the ship she could not believe the amount of effort that was put into all of the summer camp decorations. After all they were just kids. Never mind the decorations though. This was not the time to admire the ships. It was time for truth or dare. Speaking of truth or dare there were about a hundred different props for the game. "Wow this amazing" Marina thought to herself.
She turned toward the person she was supposed to dare. "So," Marina said. "I dare you to describe the sky without using the words blue, white, or cloud." she paused for a moment and just to make sure he understood. Marina then continued speaking, "Oh, and there is one more thing, once you have described the sky you must describe the ocean without using the words you used to describe the sky."
"Understand?" Marina asked, "Describe the sky without using the words blue, white or sky, then describe the ocean without using any of the words you used to describe the sky. Simple right?" And it was simple as long as the boy's memory was good.
Would he accept the dare? Marina knew he would, it did not seem like that hard of a dare, but would he succeed. Only time would tell.

Sta 3 | Eva 4 | Str 2 @Marina Oriel Wis 12 | Arc 10 | Acc 9Noah gulped. He had an actual dare this time. CRAP! Ughh how the hell did they expect Noah to be smart or- in some way more--- considerate. "Yes. describe the sky without those words, gotcha. Mhm. Oh- SERIOUSLY? DESCRIBE THE OCEAN? WITHOUT USING ANY OF MY PREVIOUS WORDS?" ok, ok, now was the time to calm down. But why did it feel like his tentmate hated him to give him such a dare. She knew he was smart, this was like torturing his knowledge by withholding the necessary components to prove brilliance.
Ok- fine- maybe he should describe the sky then... "Full of water molecules just floating around. Uhh-" How do you not use Blue in that sentence? "It's- bright today. It's- awfully- calm." He waited a few seconds, hoping he didn't say any words he wasn't supposed to.
"Alright. Alright. Time for the- dreaded, yet flooded area we call an ocean. It is deep, holds terrifying monsters- such as the Kraken, and is the Davy Jones Locker. After all, Dead Men Tell No Tales." Noah said, hoping no one got his pun, but he didn't say the words he was tasked to not say, so that was at least an accomplishment.
