June stifled a yawn as stars began to appear in the sky above. She wasn't so sure why she was tired already, it hadn't been that eventful of a day. The most exciting thing she'd done was tell someone that she thought Aly Salinger was pretty. Perhaps she was tired because the day had been so uneventful...
CrASH!
June shrieked and fell to the ground as crates and chests were thrown her way. She looked around, dumbfounded, before seeing the remains of the tower someone had been building just moments ago. Pieces of the crumbled structure had been scattered all over the deck, making quite the impressive mess of the space. This was ridiculous, this whole thing was absolutely ridiculous. In fact, it was so ridiculous, that June began to laugh.
What am I doing? June thought to herself as she chuckled harder. The sheer absurdity of this game and the things she'd seen others doing and saying was finally crashing down on the young Slytherin. She stood up from the deck, her laughing growing as rapidly as the strange humor she was finding in the day. She dabbed the edges of her eyes as she tried to regulate her breathing, only to find herself hiccupping a few times as she did.
She headed toward the canon one last time, trying to push down giggles (only somewhat successfully). She opened the paper to find, oddly enough, a name she wasn't completely unfamiliar with. "Erin Ryan", rising sixth-year, Slytherin beater. So June Selwyn was not at all intimidated when she went up to the girl, hiccupping all the way.
Her fit of laughter had given her a spark of inspiration. Alright, game, you want to be ridiculous? So be it.
"Hello, Ryan. Selwyn, June -hic- Selwyn. You play quidditch with my friend Maggie Hawkins, right?" Of course she did, what a stupid question. "Right, I -hic- dare you to pretend to be a cat. You have to get on -hic- all fours, go up to someone you don't know, and rub against their legs. Oh, and you have to -hic- meow at least three times."
