Truth or Dare — Group FOUR
Sta 3 | Eva 4 | Str 2 | Wis 12 | Arc 10 | Acc 9Noah groaned. Didn't he JUST have Aly? No problems against her, just that he didn't want to think of a dare. Ughhhhh hmm. He thought for a brief minute about what the dare had to be. You know what? Surely she couldn't turn this down. "I dare you to... um... punch that boy over there-" Noah pointed at Edward. "As hard as you can. And maybe if you can, at the same time stomp on his foot."
Ok, maybe he was going too far, but then again, who cared? Edward was a menace, and didn't need to be around a bunch of people that were simply trying to be nice. It wasn't his fault that Eddy got binded several weeks before, but it was his fault for what he just said, and dared Aly to do. "C'mon do it. Do it. Do it." He started chanting, his facial features lightened to show that he was actually excited to see something happen for once.
He prepared himself for the worst of what could happen, since he never actually wanted to answer any truths- or do any dares. Why the hell did he show up to the game? He was tramatized of any dares, and of all truths.

Alec was drying off from his little excursion in the water, soaked after having dove in to grab the shark floatie and victim of destruction for Finn. Who really knew? Maybe it would end up as a productive was to dissipate one's anger. Or perhaps it would end up just be a destroyed swimming floatie. Alec didn't know what the future held, and he certainly wanted to avoid being some all-seeing seer if it meant Alec would find out he would in fact be in trouble for telling a person to destroy something. Yep, may as well leave it up to fate. Alec would once again find himself looking out the edge of the ship, waiting the water as he waited to receive his dare.
He would hear the words of a familiar voice and could only roll his eyes. Go away. Alec was waiting for his dare, he had no time for other people right now. Until Alec realized the kid was the one giving out the dare, great, just great. Alec would turn around and notice the other barefoot holding out his socks for Alec to take.
ew.barf. Get those nasty things away from him.
"I dare you to wear these socks as gloves for the next ten minutes."
ReducioAlec's eyebrows raised in surprised and he pursed his lips. This is not what Alec had meant by interesting. Not in the slightest. If this dare was going to be anything close to dangerous as Alec wanted, it would be because of some gross bacterial infection or fungus. The socks look as if they'd never been cleaned. Alec wondered how it was physically possibly to dirty socks like this and not someone peel over in the process.
"Oh, tell me though, how was the kiss?"
Edward smirked and Alec's face paled. His brain was raising some pretty loud alarms here, and suddenly Alec was starting not to feel so well. “I think I'm going to be sick,” a wave of nausea hit him and he leaned over the edge of the boat. Luckily Alec did not barf or throw up, however he was having major onset regrets. Alec kissed a person that unhygienic?! It would take a few moments for the after shock to wear away before he turned back around. “You really need to go see a healer about that,” Alec spoke, his eyes took a few minutes to scan the ship. He was not chicken so he would be taking the dare but it didn't mean he needed to take the dare like this, “one moment,” Alec would excuse himself, walking away from edward and towards the costume chests.
Alec would find costume pieces long enough to cover both hands and arms(just to make sure he would not touch the socks when he took them off), after such he went back to find Edward and would accept the dare, putting the socks on his hands. Edward was a pain in the arse, and for this dare Alec planned to make him suffer, or at least make himself feel better about it all.
As Alec completed his ten minutes he would followed Edward around constantly mentioning that these were his socks, waving his arms around for everybody to see. Alec loudly multiple time would suggest Edward seeing a healer about this. Alec would also say that it's very gross and unhygienic to not clean your socks and question Edward as to why he never changed them out for a new pair.
When the ten minutes were over Alec took the long costume pieces off, meaning Edward socks with it, and would let his socks and the costume pieces fall into the water a float down. “Good riddance,” the socks would be gone forever, and truly, it was a good thing.

Marina's truth question was not exactly a typical one. Despite it not being something, she would have expected Marina would still answer the question. "Am I too weak to be a Gryffindor? Perhaps I am. Maybe I would have made a better Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw. Even possibly a Slytherin. Sometimes I wonder the same thing myself. No system is perfect, and I know of people whom the sorting hat did not make the right decision regarding what house they belong in. But there is a difference between bravery and stupidity. All in all, I think I do belong in the Gryffindor house." Marina answered. "Also I'm not walking the plank. I chose truth not dare. Like I said bravery verses stupidity."
Now for the person she was to truth and or dare. "And we meet again," Marina laughed. "Truth and dare? I guess I will give you more wordplay. If you had to swap lives with someone on this ship, who would it be and why?" Marina paused, "Your dare is that you cannot use the letters P I R A T or E in your description of why. If the person's name has those letters, you may use the letters only for their name and only their name. If you can't remember what the letters are just remember that the letters spell pirate." Marina said. She was interested to hear what he had to say.

He'd picked Truth because he didn't want to embarrass himself, but now this girl asked him a question that left him utterly dumbfounded. An obscure bit of information? She might as well have asked him what his favorite vegetables were.Answering @Lucia Fox as Cassie Heather McGreror Martin's Truth.
The game was supposed to be fun and simple, yet with one question she had managed to wipe the smile off his face and made his brows knit together in concentration. There wasn't much of anything he considered himself particularly knowledgeable on, nor could he rattle of a list of did-you-knows like some of the smart kids in his muggle school could.
"I s'pose, " he started hesitantly, remembering something his granddad had once told him staring down a telescope, "the most obscure thing I know is that the moon is exactly large and exactly far away enough for total solar eclipse to happen. If it were any smaller or at any other distance, it would not be possible."
Emboldened to have made it through the first round of the game alive, Finnegan choose a dare for the next round, a decision he quickly began to regret when the older boy @Alec Mason began telling an epic tale. Though he kept it to himself, he briefly worried the boy was going to magic real sharks into existence and make him fight them. He eased up a bit however when Alec mentioned the shark's name. The older boy seemed rather amused by his own invention as well.Answering Alec Mason's Dare.
Soon Alec returned from his splash in the water, armed with an inflatable shark which was promptly deposited at his feet. Finnegan charged the plastic monster with the dull edge of a wooden sword, making the shark bounce up and down the deck but doing little damage otherwise. It wasn't until he'd got his hands on a coat hanger that he finally managed to vanquish the air-filled beast.
"Yer avenged now, me mateys!" Finnegan announced dramatically while he draped the deflated, plastic remains over himself and tied it sideways over his shoulder. "The Fluffiest Pygmy Puff is no more!" It was rather difficult to keep a straight face at that, but he just about managed.
The cannon blasted out fresh bits of parchments and the one drifting towards him had a rather peculiar name on it. @June Selwyn. She'd picked Truth and Finnegan decided he'd make this one a bit tougher than the last question he'd handed out. After all, he'd noticed that all the older students were a bit more brazen with the dares and truths they challenged others too.Issuing June Selwyn's Truth
"June, you have to be completely truthful, you have to point out the prettiest person on this ship and explain why you think they are the prettiest." There was no doubt in Finnegan's mind who he would've picked, she had beautiful eyes. With a sly grin he added, "oh, and you can't pick yourself."
Next round: dare.

June happily tied A beautifully intricate bow for Nicholas before letting him go on his way, suppressing a giggle at how ridiculous it looked.
With no one to give herself a "truth", June caught one from another cannon. It was.. Not as interesting as she'd hoped. The best day she's had... June cleared her throat and spoke her answer aloud, speaking to no-one in particular. "The best day I've ever had was when... Well, probably when I met Maggie Hawkins." June couldn't help but smile as she thought about the girl who was so completely different from herself, but got along with so well. "Even though that day led to me ending up in the Hospital Wing." June winced slightly as she remembered the pain she had endured from her embarrassing broom fall.
The cannon fired again, this time with a name June didn't recognize. Which made sense, there was only one person on this boat she knew, and she'd already gotten his name. Zykeal Lane... June poked around the boat, asking around for her recipient. Eventually she happened on an older blonde boy, hopefully this was who she was looking for. "Excuse me," June tapped on his shoulder. "Are you Zykeal Lane?"
Thank goodness, he was. "Right, well, I've got your truth and your dare, are you ready? Okay, I dare you to go up to the person on this ship you find most attractive, tell them the story of your most embarrassing moment from this last school year, and then walk away. You aren't allowed to justify your story, or tell them it's a dare. Although I guess they'd be able to figure out that it was... No matter, I said it, so now it's set in stone." June gave the older boy a smile and a wave. "Good luck!"
It wasn't long after that when a freckled brunette boy walked up to her. "Oh! You must be here for me, right? I don't believe we've met before, I'm June Selwyn. Although, I guess you knew that already... Anyways, truth and dare away, sir!"
June listened to the boy speak, taking him in as he did. She didn't recognize him at all, and he seemed a bit younger than her. An incoming first year, perhaps? June suddenly found herself realizing that she would now be an upperclassman to a whole year of students. Perhaps she could be actually helpful to them, unlike some other students who liked to lure first-years to their watery demise.
June stared blankly at the boy for a moment after his addendum to his prompt. Obviously she wouldn't choose herself, that'd be quite conceited. What an odd thing to add. She looked around the boat, eyeing over all of the unfamiliar faces, feeling a bit embarrassed for observing their physique so carefully. Then again, she couldn't be too embarrassed, as she'd just asked someone else to do something quite similar. It was then that she spotted Aly Salinger, the Ravenclaw keeper who joined the quidditch game June refereed at the end of the school year. who she'd somehow not seen earlier. She extended her hand in the girl's direction with a polite two-finger point. "I'll pick Salinger, over there. Merlin, just look at her hair! She has a wonderful smile, too. Maybe I should say hello at some point..." June pondered aloud at the end before looking back to her dare-er.
"Would I be correct in assuming you'll be starting at Hogwarts come September?" She offered him a friendly smile. "I'll be a second-year, myself. I'd be happy to help you out come the start of the academic year! I've found that meeting new people can be..." June thought back to those sad lonely months that made up most of her first year. "It can be a bit hard, sometimes. Hopefully you'll find it easier than I did."
June will select "dare" for her next round

To say Aly Salinger was horrified at the game's turn of events was quite a bit of an understatement. After no one had responded to her call for a Carolyn Plant - a last name that Aly quite liked, as a side note - the curly-haired Ravenclaw had turned about face just to find the exact same person from last time looking at her again.
Clearly, the cannon had some ideas for her, whether Aly liked it or not.
The boy, who was definitely younger than her now that Aly was getting a good second look at his face, dared her - with a groan and all sorts of vitriol - to actually punch someone! Another younger boy by the looks of it, with blonde hair and a smirk on his round face, who was chatting away to another one of the members of their game. Aly had never seen him before, either - So many strangers here today, though I suppose they all seem to know each other if they're daring physical injury to one another! - but by the accent she was overhearing coming from his direction, she hazarded a guess that he was one of the foreign students here at the camp. Russian, if she had to estimate - which would make him a Koldovstoretz student. There was no way that Aly was going to lay hands on anyone in a way that could cause harm, but especially not if they were younger and in a foreign country. This was not the way to welcome strangers to a city she'd loved for years! This was not the way to greet anyone, period! Plus, beyond that, Aly was a Healing intern for the school nurse at Hogwarts, and had dreams to be a Healer one day. Physical injury was something she was used to fixing, not doling out. Merlin, it had taken all of her willpower to blatch someone in her last Quidditch game of the school year back in April, and it still haunted her every day since - she wasn't about to add socking a child in the face to her list of regrets.
Drawing herself up to her full, if still diminutive, height, Aly looked down her nose at the boy in front of her with as much of disgust as was possible painting her usually kind face. "Absolutely not," she said, slowly, indignantly. "I don't know who you think you are, but that's no way to treat someone! If you want to hurt somebody, that's your decision - but don't drag me into doing your dirty work."
Flipping her curls over one shoulder, she turned and stalked away towards the edge of the boat. If this was what Truth or Dare was all about, then the Ravenclaw wanted no part in it.
Passing the boy she'd been dared to punch on the way out, she stopped briefly to address him. Of course, this was Edward, the boy on the slip of paper the cannon had assigned her when Carolyn had been a no-show; not that Aly had any way of knowing that, as she was removing herself from the game anyway, but she would still unwittingly assign him the required dare. "Hi! You don't know me, and I certainly don't know who you are," she began with a cheery smile, speaking in a low whisper so as not to be overheard, "but I am Aly, and I was just dared to punch you by that boy over there." Jerking a thumb behind her to point to the boy who had assigned her the dare, she rushed to explain before the boy could think she was going to harm him: "Don't worry, I'm not going to do it, I'm not that kind of person. But I thought maybe you could go over and give him a hug, or something, or- oh, here!"
Reaching into her mane of perfectly coiled curls, Aly detached the yellow flower from behind her ear and handed it to the blonde boy with a grin. "There. You can give him that, and maybe that will mend whatever wound you have between you," she whispered, still smiling. "It's a yellow hibiscus - means good luck, and also happiness. I have a feeling you're going to need both of those with that one!"
With one last polite smile towards both the boy and the one he'd been talking to, and one last annoyed glance over her shoulder to the boy who had dared her to do such an inhumane thing in the first place, Aly turned and left the ship, climbing down to the longboats to return to her tent. As she did so, she noticed June - a younger Slytherin who had refereed that same aforementioned unofficial Quidditch match just a few months before - pointing in her direction, and she smiled and waved to her as she disembarked. That had been quite enough adventure for one night.

@Noah Jupe & @Marina Oriel
Hair tied upon into a very pretty bow, the Gryffindor would give a half-hearted thanks to June before he set off to find Edward Smith, A Russian accent was not what Nicholas had expected from a boy with such a decidedly Anglo name, but it was what had greeted him. Still, the peculiarly-named boy was not a coward, and in due course he’d launched himself off of the plank and into the water below. His taunt, however, utterly confused Nicholas. Theme? Pirate theme? Was he supposed to dress in theme? He supposed some of the other students had but Nicholas hadn’t realised that it was suggested, let alone mandatory. Instead, he shrugged nonchalantly, letting the complaints of the now water-logged blonde foreigner wash away.
Nicholas shrugged, digging his hands into his pockets, before setting his sights on his next target, Marina Oriel. The newest member of his broom racing team, although he was loath to admit that he still did not know her well enough at all. Probably not the sign of the finest captain, but she’d been a relatively new replacement before the season had broken for the end of school.
Of course, she’d selected truth, and Nicholas had no idea what exactly to ask her. A few moments of thought later, however, he’d at least managed to formulate a semblance of a question.
“Yo!” He greeted, raising a lazed hand, “When was the last time you cried?”
Relatively innocuous, he supposed, especially considering some of the queries he could overhear.

Sta 8 | Eva 10 | Str 11 | Wis 6 | Arc 5 | Acc 5A beautiful girl passed by him, telling him that such a dorky young looking boy was capable of daring someone to hurt the wonderful man that stands before the group. How dare he? That was absolutely disgraceful! HOW DARE HE? EDWARD WAS A GOD! Well, no, he wasn't, admittedly, since he couldn't keep the respect of anyone throughout the summer thus far.
"Пошел ты.1" The russian said. He took the flower from her hand, it meaning good luck- and stomped over to the dorky boy, making every stomp as loud as he possibly could, and throwing his fist in the boy's face, the fist holding the flower.
"You really want to hurt me so bad? Нет. Ты никогда не получишь такого удовлетворения. Ты полный придурок, и ты научишься жить с этим.2" He figured the boy might not be able to understand, and he smiled, as he said the previous sentence in Russian, to make it look like he was saying something nice- as if he were forgiving the boy.
He thrust out his other hand, as if to give a handshake. He had a smile on his face, as he came in for the hug. As if to add a little bit of- acknowledgement to the fact that he "didn't" say anything bad- or to create that illusion- he gave the boy a kiss. And he came in hot.Screw you.1

Sta 3 | Eva 4 | Str 2 | Wis 12 | Arc 10 | Acc 9Noah groaned. Great. Aly didn't do anything. SHE BACKED OUT ON A DARE! Noah didn't have the courage to be labelled a wimp- especially when his prankster brothers hear about it- and believe it or not- word goes around fast.
He flinched as every step had reverberated off the ship floor, and Noah felt the vibration- and heard the heavy thudding. What the hell? Then he stared at the flower in the fist that came towards his face all of a sudden. And the kiss- the words that boy said wasn't familiar. But he was saying it with a smile, so he took it was a good thing. That maybe the boy forgave him for such a- dangerous thought.
He kissed back. Hoping Edward actually loved him, or hoping that they could be the bestest of friends- if they couldn't date. And it was highly unlikely knowing of Noah's luck.
He heard another wordplay challenge. He looked Edward in the eye as he said his dare he was provided.
"Uhh, choose... N'cholas. He seems cool- and 'ntim'dat'ng. He also has qu'te a l'fe acco'ding to my knowledge, and 'obably don't know much e'ther anyways. O' maybe th's boy who just k'ssed me. He might be my f'rst k'ss! My last boyfriend d'dn't k'ss me, and so wish took his 'lace so knew of what he went through so can relate with h'm."
He started, but couldn't finish- it was already sounding so wierd out of his mouth and couldn't mentally keep changing it. "What I said was, and I know I lost the dare, Uhh I choose Nicholas. He seems pretty cool- and intimidating. He also has quite a life according to my knowledge, and I probably don't know much either anyways. Or maybe this boy who just kissed me. He might be my first kiss! █The tidbit of information offered by Finnegan Conner was just nerdy enough to be boring while also making Cassie's head spin enough for it to be interesting. The Beauxbatons girl adjusted her eyepatch while she considered the fact. It was something Cassie had never really thought about before, but also something that just... made sense. "Huh. Cool."
A part of Cassie was obviously expecting the cannon to fire again, because this time she wasn't suprised when it twisted to face her and launched a slip of paper into her chest. Lucinia Thawin, it said simply. Truth & Dare. This final statement made Cassie pause. Lucinia had chosen truth and dare? Was this possible? And how was it possible? Maybe they had found a flaw in the system. A loophole. Cassie wondered if this was a loophole she too could exploit in order to get twice the action... but, honestly, she couldn't be bothered. Dares were much cooler than truths anyway, especially since Cassie didn't have much to hide and finding out people's secrets was the best thing about truths.
It took a minute or so before Cassie realised that the 'Lucinia' she was looking for was the same girl who had given her a dare only last round. Having identified her subject it was easy for Cassie to locate her, and she waved enthusiastically at her to catch her attention. "LUCINIA!" Cassie really hoped she was pronouncing that right. Was there a way to pronounce the name except 'Luce-in-ee-a'? Hopefully Cassie had gotten it right and would therefore never know. "We meet again," she greeted the girl before showing her the slip. "Says here you picked truth and dare, so here we go. Um..." Despite having thought up various truths and dares before even seeing the ship all the participants were currently stranded on, Cassie needed a moment to think about it. Of course, she could just dare Lucinia to tell the truth, therefore killing two birds with one stone, but that was a little lame. "Truth... When was the last time you told the truth and later wished you'd lied? And bonus question: what did you say?" Hopefully the answer to that would be interesting. "And I dare you to speak in third... second... ugh, I dunno which one's which, okay? Don't say 'I'. You know what I mean? Don't speak in first person. For the next... five minutes."
