Getting into the Quidditch team had seemed next to impossible for Elisa in her first year but there she was, making her way to the pitch, adorning the quidditch uniform while maintaining a firm grip on her broom, it was pouring heavily but not enough to affect her enthusiastic mood.

As her eyes fall on a familiar face she slowly walks towards him, to provide a (not so) friendly greeting to none other than the Avery, while he was a cool person, a part of her still hated him for his prank, she slowly sneaked behind him as she smacked his head, "How's Alek doing, Mr Chen?" she commented with a playful smirk before she walked towards one of the benches and flopped on it gently,she did notice Prat in the crowd to whom she just waved before paying attention back into the game which was about to start, her inner feelings screamed that this is gonna be a hella interesting day

He was going through the most with the twists and turns of life and he lately he had been feeling exhausted from school work. Now that he was second year, it wasn't the same as his entrance year. There was a lot to learn at Hogwarts and he was still embracing the adventures despite everything. However, just like previous games, he remained benched and observed his team going to definitely do the most.

Today was the first match of her seventh year and Lavinia was beyond ready. She spent her entire summer just like the one before, practicing every single day. With her seventh year she knew how important it was to always play at her very best in case a professional team scout was in attendance. She wanted her quidditch stats to show just how much of her life she had poured into the sport. Her seventh year was the year to cement her role as the greatest chaser of her generation and to lead her team to victory.

Walking out onto the field for the last first time of a new Hogwarts season, Lavinia took a deep breath and centered herself for the game. Her team would win, they had some new players yet many of the same determined faces. This was Ravenclaw’s year and soon everyone would know it. Grabbing her broom and sending a heartwarming smile to all of her players, Lavinia prepped herself for a great game. They would win this game.

QUAFFLE GRABS

Ravenclaw clearly had a plan. Their chasers would gather up in the Hawkshead formation, with Lavinia quickly and easily scoring 20 points for her team. On grab 3, Winnie fumbled a little from Charlie's unsettling aura as she circled below, waiting to save any falling allies, but Lavinia was able to catch Winnie's mistake and make up the 10 points. Similar would happen to Quinn on the 4th grab, but Winnie was now able to recover and clean up her previous misstep, sweeping up the other two grabs, earning her team an additional 20 points, putting Ravenclaw steadfast in the lead.

Both seekers would be after the same goal - finding the snitch. The small golden ball proved elusive in the rain, darting around the pitch at a extremely fast speed, but Dan's sharp eye managed to spot it. Aly, however, would be less lucky, and be unable to spot the snitch amongst the rain and action.

BEATERS

It seemed as if both teams had a similar approach with their beaters. Ulysses and Ebony would both hover protectively around their team's seeker, defending them from any potential attacks, whereas Percival and Jorah would take offensive action. Percival's first target, coincidentally, happened to be Jorah, and he'd cleanly hit his target. The bludger would then ricochet towards Aly, but Ebony's defence would prove pivotal to Ravenclaw, as she braved the bludger instead. Both of Ravenclaw's first-string beaters would be felled with one mighty swing.

Jorah, before being knocked from his broom, would take a precise swing at Maggie, which would very nicely hit. She'd manage to withstand the bludger however, though it must've hurt. The bludger would then ricochet towards Percival, likely a revenge shot, but Ebony falling from her broom seemed to throw off the shot, missing its target.

BLATCHERS

Both Koko and Maggie had been carefully lining up to blatch the Ravenclaw chasers, making sure to avoid the referee's gaze before taking their shot. Koko would go first, carefully managing to weave through the Hawkshead defence to crash into Lavinia, sending her tumbling from her broom, before quickly darting away before being noticed. Maggie would attempt the same, however with Winnie as her target. This time, the blatch would be unsuccessful, and Winnie would withstand the attack, but Maggie still managed to go undetected. The referee must've been distracted with the bad weather.

Luckily for Lavinia, Charlie was waiting to save her below, catching her on her broom. Avery and Mellani had also been looking out for any falling Slytherins, but there seemed to be none this round.

Uri wasn't quite familiar with what he was seeing. It certainly resembled Quidditch but it... it didn't look like good Quidditch. As he watched the horror show unfold in front of him all he could really think was that the Ravenclaw Quidditch Team were Charlie Brown and the Quidditch gods were Lucy. As he continued to watch the unfolding trainwreck all he could really do was let out an, "Oh good grief," from the bench.

After the first Quidditch game that Ophelia had been in the Ravenclaw team, after that brutal but brilliant win, she'd come to this match expecting something similar. A lot of knocked out players on the other side, a lot of winces from everyone, but a win for the eagles in the end. At the very least, she'd definitely expected for her house to be on the winning side from the beginning.

But after this first round, it was quite obvious to even the most absentminded of the audience that Ravenclaw wasn't winning. In fact, with two players already unconscious and another player having gotten knocked off her broom, it could be easily said that it wasn't the most fruitful of beginnings.

Still, Ophelia had been there last year, witnessing it as her team had won the match beautifully. So even in this terrible rain, she knew that it was definitely possible for victory to be Ravenclaw's. She just had to sit and wait.

The first game had begun. And it was off to an interesting start. Charlie watched as her team got the quaffle and Lavinia scored 30, and Winnie scored 20, which left the team ahead at 50 to 0. What Charlie didn’t see was the seekers searching for the snitch. Dan spotted the snitch but Aly did not.

What Charlie did see was Percival hitting both Jorah and Ebony, and knocking them out. Charlie watched helplessly as the fell. What made her happy though was watching Jorah hit Maggie but didn’t’t knock her out.

Jusr then Charlie spotted something. Or someone. Lavinia. Charlie dived for her, and caught her just in time, saving her.

xxSo. Looked like luck didn't want to be a lady, not now. For all her insistence upon being the best on the team, the quite frankly ridiculous ego she was boasting, Maggie really didn't think the Slytherin team was performing particularly strongly. In that, she meant that the team wasn't scoring an abundance of points, still at zero by the time the plays were counted when compared to Ravenclaw's five. Still, the Ravenclaw team were dropping like flies, hit by bludgers and tumbling ground-ward. Maggie might as well have joined them, with Jorah's bludger flying her direction. She attempted to evade it, but the ball crushed into her side, causing her broom to flounder in the sky. "Fuck," she groaned, gripping the broomstick tighter to prevent falling off. She was still standing, but only just. In an attempt to make up for her shortcoming, Maggie tried to blatch Winnie, but her condition caused a swing-and-miss; it was just lucky that the referee seemed too distracted to call her on the foul.

This was hardly how Maeve had imagined her first Quidditch match to start. She had imagined she would be safe and sound on the bench the whole time, or at least for a good long while before getting thrown into the thick of it. She was a first-year! She was supposed to be warming the bench. That was the whole idea. Yes, she was a little (a lot) bit thrilled at the possibility to be up in the air, right in the thick of it, but that simply wasn't how these things worked. If a seventh-year couldn't survive up there, how would she? With a little bit of skill and a whole lotta luck, apparently.
