Terrible Presence
Honestly, the pain of his braided hair being pulled and climbed upon wasn't that bad. If anything Chikao had felt worst from his mother's wrath of pulling his thick hair with a brush every morning. At first, the boy had moments of tears and tantrums from the pain he felt, but he eventually got used to it. He didn't and still doesn't regret having large bouts of hair to braid a bit every now and then. Yet there was an issue with this whole event, the amount of time it was taking Pax to climb. Chikao wasn't feeling weak or losing a breath of air but it was a bit of a boring hassle to just stand and hold tightly onto his hair waiting for his teammate. He tried to pull his hair to assist Pax, but lifting his foot almost made him feel dragged by the weight of his teammate.
He had no choice, Chikao had to keep holding on and waiting. He called out to Pax to hurry up, not because the boy was impatient or struggling to hold on... he was just bored. The whole event wasn't as exciting as he expected, but he was glad to have spent it with someone else nonetheless.

MODERATION
This round seems like it is the hardest part of the whole game. People are still struggling to climb through those strands of hair. Clearly, Hogwarts needed to introduce more of a fitness regiment - what was happening with all those noodle-armed teenagers?
River Fayre, finally, managed to clamber up the tower to come rescue dear Chiaki Hiroi, that was one success, at least. Unfortunately, while they were celebrating this small victory, getting ready to move on to the next test, others were celebrating a bigger one. Bells rang, the tournament had ended, as another pair had crossed the finish line. Still - kudos to those still in the tournament, their perseverance was something to be admired.

"くそ！" Pronounced: Kuso! Hiro cursed in Japanese upon hearing the bell signaling the end of the game. Seriously? Three pairs had already made it to the end of the game? Hiro had thought they'd be able to make a comeback at the later stages and overtake them. But apparently that was not going to happen now. The boy's feet slipped off the braid again and he clung to the braid for a moment before finding his footing again on the side of the wall. Even though completing the stages wouldn't give them a reward, Hiro still wanted to keep trying to complete them. That is, if Monica was up for it. But first, he had to get to the top of the tower... Finally, Hiro managed to reach his destination and pulled himself up over the top, landing gracefully by Monica's side. He leaned over to give her a brief hug and then glanced around the area. This was the first time he'd seen the inside of the tower. "Sorry it took so long, but I'm here now! I know the game is over but do you want to finish it? I don't like to leave things half-done if possible." Hiro told her. He took out his wand and pointed it at Monica's hair to speak the spell to cut the heavy and long braid.... "Diffindo!" Hiro incanted, focused on the spell. Once the hair was cut, Hiro grabbed Monica's hand and ran towards the door inside the tower. Upon reaching the door, he produced the golden key he'd found earlier and inserted it into the lock. As the door swung open, Hiro made sure Monica was good and then ran out. |

After what felt like hundred attempts at getting up, ok it was only like five or six but still!
As her toes, now numb from the cold stone of the castle, dug into the cracks in the stone River used one arm to hold on to her partner's hair and the other to slowly climb. She had given up on doing it speedy, who cares? If she got to the top that would be enough of a win for the French girl.
She kept her eyes on the stone in front of her and focused on getting to the top, she blocked out all other sounds, slowly she climbed higher than she had gotten in any of her attempts and slowly but surely she got to the top. But the time she reached the top she was quivering with excitement,
"We did it!" She cried out, her hands were red and toes still numb, her hair was kind of messy but as far as she cared they had worked as a team and gotten to the top!
"I'm sorry about your hair, that must have really hurt" she said, feeling bad that she had pulled herself up on Chiaki's hair, which was of course attached to her head, which -at least she hoped- had feeling and was most likely as sore as River's hands.
She slipped her shoes back on and smiled, "Should we deal with your gorgeous locks?"

Monica could feel the weight on her head, she tried her best to use her body to hold down her hair, but she would be lying if she said she didn't feel a bit of a pull at her roots. She wasn't sure how long Hiro had been climbing for, but in what seemed like hours, the end of the game was called. "Drats!" Monica couldn't help but voice her frustration. They had gotten so close, and yet it wasn't enough.
She heard some shouts from Hiro, but couldn't make out exactly what he was saying, still feeling the pressure on her hair, she kept on her grip. Within less time than Monica had thought, Hiro appeared over the ledge of the window, throwing himself inside the tower, Monica stood up, glad to be done with lifting a whole person on the end of her hair. Hiro took out his wand, and while casting a spell which cut Monica's hair, he proposed finishing the game anyways... Monica pondered over it, and ultimately she agreed. She also didn't like to leave things half done, but also they were so close! Why just quite now? Also, also, she was having the best time with Hiro, and wanted to do anything to keep the fun and night going... even just a little bit longer.
The blue haired Slytherin barely got a chance to say anything before she was whisked away by Hiro to the door of the tower... I guess he could read her mind. Monica let her feet follow his, the were gonna finish this thing, even if it took all... of an extra 30 mins to do so.
