ㅤ──────────────────────| ── | The Pink Parrots had done pretty well this time. They were actually tied with Sapphire which was awesome. Hiro was proud of their team and the results. He'd been spotted as he'd tried to steal a flag but had managed to evade the defender and accomplish his goal, even managing to bring the flag back to their base too. Checking the progress of the other members of his team, Hiro was pleased to discover all four members of his team had also managed to be successful and steal a flag from their chosen targets. The Pink Parrots were on a roll and all they needed to do was continue with this momentum and they could become the winners! Hearing Sophia call out to him, Hiro glanced over at her for a brief moment or two. Soccer? What was that? A muggle type of sport? Was it similar to Capture the Jolly Roger? She was already gone by the time he thought to respond, so he'd talk to her later on. Ayako apparently had overheard her and spoke about her impression of Sophia, finding her loud and obnoxious. Hiro shrugged. "I agree she can be loud a lot but I wouldn't say she's obnoxious. If you get to know her, you'll find she's really quite sweet." He told Ayako with a grin and nodded when she spoke about not holding back. "Of course. Games are competitive." "We're in it to win it." Hiro agreed and glanced around. "You guys ready to get some more points and win this game?" He asked his group with a smile. ────────────────────── ㅤ ㅤ──────────────────────

Capture The Jolly Roger
It didn't seem as if the chaos of the game would cease any time soon. A few seemed so tired that they had to take a break from the game, and Pax could see the tiredness in some of the other players as well.
Kim and EmmaLee would elect to return smartly with the flags they'd collected in the former round, ensuring some points for their team, as well as allowing them a short rest to regain their breath before the next wave.
Everett would return again to the obstacles leading to the Golden Jolly Roger, but it seemed that Cielle would have a similar idea. However, she failed shortly, the spinning obstacles hitting her into the water. Everett would manage to dodge, learning from his mistakes previously, but he'd struggle to make further progress as he'd misplace his foot and fall to his watery doom.

By the Coral Crossbones' ship, four were all successful in stealing flags. Three emerged with a coral flag in hand, and another with a pink flag in hand, obviously having stolen it from those who had stolen it originally.

Another four would attempt to steal from the Sapphire Swashbucklers' ship, but these would be less successful. Only one would emerge with a flag this time around, and the other three seemed to leave looking more in pain than when they'd entered. Whoever was on defence seemed to be very efficient at keeping away other teams.

Unlike the previous round, several players went to target Teal Treaure's ship. That was the price to pay for being left under the radar last round, Pax supposed. Five of them would attempt to make it there, but three would be unable to pull themselves over the wall and fall sadly into the water. Out of the two that did manage to get into the ship, only one managed to retrieve a flag.

Lilac Leviathan's ship seemed to be the least targeted this time around, only having two approaching the ship. Neither seemed to do particularly well against the protections that had been put in place to defend the Lilac Leviathan's ship. One would fail to withstand the torrent of water and find themself giving way to the water below. The other would just make it through, but leave empty-handed, looking more frustrated and worn.

Less people had approached the Pink Parrots than in the previous round, which was probably a relief for their defender(s). Only five did, though albeit all had very determined expressions on their face. Pax didn't see what happened, but they assumed that they had woken and chosen violence this round. Despite that, only three emerged with a flag.

The game was fantastic fun and the physical challenges and strategy required to be successful flooded Stephen's brain with endorphins. He had successfully navigated the Pink Parrots obstacle last round, and even better still, he had done his job in distracting the behemoth defending their lair, thereby allowing his Captain to steal a flag. He had even been successful in stealing a pink flag himself and getting it back to his lair to be counted, so he was feeling pretty on top of his game in those moments.
Maybe too much so.
His second round could have been a whole lot better. It could have been a whole lot worse, too. Had he been too cocky after his first round or just careless? Was it a case of 'pride goeth before a fall' or just clumsiness causing the fall? As Stephen thought about it, he privately acknowledged that the two were not necessarily mutually exclusive. If pride or cockiness had in any way factored into this dismal performance, he needed to diagnose it and tamp it down ASAP.
He reviewed what had happened as he made his way successfully back to the Lilac Leviathans home base. The game plan had been for him to distract for a Russian girl. They were to go together to the Teal Treasure's ship. Neither one, unfortunately, managed to even get past the obstacle wall. As Stephen was to distract for the girl once inside the Teal lair, he tackled the bowed wall obstacle first. On any given normal day, this would have been the obstacle posing the least amount of concern for him. This was not a normal day apparently. His clumsy performance resembled more that of a Harold Lloyd movie character than it did the decisive, athletic precision he was used to delivering. Whatever was going on with him, he failed spectacularly at it. It wasn't funny really, because he had let his team down, but what it came down to was a shoelace.
Yep, that's right. The boy tripped most inelegantly because he failed to tie his own shoelace properly. When he recognized it for what it was, he was both mortified and then kind of tickled. He was not pleased by any stretch of the imagination, but it was a good reminder that everything mattered when preparing for competition. That was Rule 1 and he had failed at the most basic level.
Shaking it off back at his base, he would do a pre-check of his wardrobe, making zero allowances for any further wardrobe malfunctions. Nobody was perfect, but this was going to be a non-issue moving forward. If he failed again, and he did not plan to, it would not be because of something as silly as an untied shoelace. Grrrrrrrr.

This time she was left alone there. Which, again, was more than satisfying. Except the fact that it might have been practically impossible to withstand like... 5 attackers at once? She could. If only she would have her wand.
She spotted one attacker heading her way, but eventually failing to overcome the obstacle. The second attacker did better, but she spotted them instantly, leaving no chance to steal the flag. Or whatever they had intended to do.
Pushing people turned out to be more fun that she expected, but most probably because all those people were younger than her. One side felt that it was probably what bullies were feeling — the nasty dominance and superiority. It was okay for the game, but still sort of uneasy. And that's where she put a stop to the useless inner dialogue, as she noticed her own teammates coming back with the flags.

ARYAAN THE ANARCHIST
Open to interactions
Aryaan blinked, confused.
Had he just--
No. No, no, no. That was not supposed to happen. Not like this. The entire point of doing everything was to not have things like this happen.
“Don’t have the time for this;” he muttered to himself in Hindi, trying to shake himself back to the present. He could feel the wardrum of his heartbeat, the heat of his body an inferno in the July weather. Nothing was real but for the feel of his own body, and the impossibly slow churning of time.
Moving was difficult. Thinking and breathing were even harder.
He forced air into his lungs, everything else forgotten for the moment.
Breathe. Just. Focus. On. Breathing. In.
One second. Two. Three.
Breathe out. Again. Just focus on breathing in. Nothing else matters. Just one more breath.
Just another.
And another.
Nothing mattered for the moment but the next breath, the next feel of his heartbeat, the next second.
And slowly, just as suddenly as it had come, the feeling abated leaving the Indian boy in the middle of….some ships?
Why was he here again?
What was he supposed to do?
He felt confused, lost. There were students running about him with a purpose, they were doing something.
He needed to do something too. What was it again?
A blink. He drew a large blank.
Well, it didn’t matter, he’d just go with it and figure it out as things happened.
IC explaining my lack of post last round. Actions as strategised
The curtains fell. And the silence was deafening

PINK PARROTS
───•─•────────────────────────────────────•─•───There was such a thing as too many cooks in the kitchen, and at the start of the game, that was exactly how Evelynn was left to feel about the defense of their own ship. With her other two teammates targeted so frequently, it left little room for the prefect to intervene. Frustration freckled her countenance every time that a pink flag was snatched and left to depart uninhibited. An idea had struck her then, to perhaps make up a deficit for range. If she could stop them from escaping very far, perhaps that would help her team to recover their almost stolen flags.
It wouldn't be long before she found herself a length of rope, then, and fashioned it into something between a bolas and a lasso. If she could trip them up, tangle their feet, or otherwise impede their movements, they would have a chance. Even better, their team had decided that a more offensive approach was warranted. Before long, Evelynn was left as the sole defender of the ship, a role that she took without sign of intimidation. She had no foolish notion of being able to stop every single student who sought to take her on, but this way the blame would be left on her shoulders alone.
Such it was that she would standing before their treasure trove of flag, a rope idly swinging in her hand when the next group of students comprised of Florian LeRoy (@Starley Kennedy), @Starley Kennedy, Vivienne Beaumont (@Adelaide Barlowe), @Sophia Nelson, and @Beatrice Langstreth picked their way across the platforms that protected their ship and landed on their deck. Her deck.
In her mind, Evelynn saw herself as quite the accomplished horsewoman, easily fending off the troublesome looters. In reality, it did not go quite as according to plan. Several of them seemed to prefer brute forcing their way past the lioness. They would soon find that despite the seeker's lithe appearance, she was not so easy a target. Quick steps and twisting maneuvers would carry her out of harm's way and beyond their reach. She would counter, throwing out the rope in an attempt to capture their hands, and trip their feet.
Unfortunately, her aim was not quite true, and they would prove equally deft in their step-work. Clicks of a tongue would sound the disappointment in herself as several flags would be plucked from the bunch and carried off ship before she could stop them. Were it not for the fact that there were still others to protect, she might have gone after them in an attempt to recover her team's lost bounty. As it was, however, there remained two others with whom to contend. With every opponent, however, Evelynn had adjusted her tosses and honed her angles. They would not be quite so lucky.
Neither would escape the prefect's keen vision, attempts to over-power Evelynn falling short in execution. And this time, her rope-work would prove effective. Sophia would find the heavy rope thrashed across her hands reaching for the flags before being pulled wide to force her body to twist away from the loot and a nasty little contusion left where the rope had made contact. Beatrice would find herself caught up, the rope wrapping itself about her feet before the red-headed upperclassman gave a firm tug that pulled her feet out from under her and left her falling to her rear.
"Run away, little cubs..." Evelynn smiled, the confidence of a growing comfort with her chosen weapon of defense glinting in her eyes. "...there is more where that came from. I might suggest dipping your fingers into a different chest of flags going forwards."
And eventually they would, leaving Evelynn alone once again. With the return of her teammates to add their collected treasures into their pile, she would report the damage. "Three flags were lost. But I am certain that number will be reduced going forward."Action: As strategized

CORAL CROSSBONES
───•─•────────────────────────────────────•─•───Take two! While she might not have come back with a flag after her first attempt, Greta was not about to let that define her contribution for the rest of the game. Determined to make an impact, the little Valkyrie set the previous failure behind her. Almost literally in some senses as she reoriented her position relative to the other ships. This time, she was not going to end up on the wrong platform. Sapphire Swashbuckler was the target, and she had it locked and loaded in her sights with the help of her make-shift telescope in the form of curled fingers forming a tunnel.
And then she was off, half racing, half skipping across the boards towards the other ship. Up on the narrow beam, Greta would put her hands wide for balance, giggling as the punching bag pirates swayed back and forth. "You'll have to try harder than that!" she chimed every time she scurried past one. It wasn't quite as easy as the revolving helm, but neither was it much more difficult. Still, she would not be the only one on the deck. Several others had beat her to it, including, "Bubbie!"
Blinking, she paused long enough to glance back towards the other ship she had previously gone to. He had been one of the defenders then, and so for one small second, she actually thought she had SOMEHOW managed to get lost AGAIN and winded up on his boat for a second time. Returning her gaze, however, it became clear that he was here for the same reasons as she: to steal flags. Grinning, she would leave him to his work, and even take advantage of some of the distraction of the sole defender of the ship. Darting through the chaos, Greta would sneak around and out of sight to pluck a sapphire flag from the bunch, grinning like a banshee.
She would skid to a halt on her way off the boat, though, as soon as she witnessed the counter-attack that landed Bubba with what looked like quite the painful situation. Wincing, she would ask, "You are okay, yes?" hoping that he hadn't taken any considerable damage. Even if he hadn't, though, she would pull her wand from a pocket. A curt glance towards the referee would give the impression that they weren't necessarily looking immediately in her direction. In a snap decision, she would hurry over to Bubba. If he was on the ground, she would crouch next to him. If he was standing, she would simply stand near to him.
Either way, she would angle herself in a way that tried to hide the wand. They weren't allowed to use magic for the game. But... nothing had technically been said about using magic for things not related to the game. Like stopping bleeding. "Ferula," she whispered, pointing the tip towards the coffee-boy. Bandages would stream from her wand-tip and wrap themselves around any of his more prominent abrasions and injuries. It wouldn't do much, and the damage would still be there. But at least they would stay clean and dry and would spare his clothes from any blood stains. "All is good now," she grinned.
And then she'd be off, darting away like a flighty little cat with one last glance over her shoulder towards Bubba.
In that glance over, however, she would see another someone making their slow way across the thin beam back to his ship. "THEO!" She shouted, cupping her hands around her mouth. It was not lost on her that he gripped a coral coloured flag in his hand, and she would feel compelled to wave her own sapphire one high above her head, laughing. The first battle had been fought and come up as a draw. The war was on. This was not the last that the Sapphire ship would be seeing of her. Not at all.

Not wanting to try for Lilac again after just barely making it out of there with a flag the previous round, Kit would look around for another target. The ramp looked rather imposing, a beacon that called out to the Beauxbatons student. She was pretty strong, right? As the notion of testing it out just to see grew in her mind, Kit knew there was no way she'd be letting the idea go soon. Best to get it over with and just race in.
So that she did. The student lunged, preparing herself to run before sprinting towards the ramp, trying to get up as far as possible before she would try to extend her arms and jump to get the top. It was certainly a bit of a sloppy technique, but she managed to get up both the ramp, then jump over to the wall the blocked the Teal boat. A new confidence seemed to flow over, deciding to simply run in and push away anyone who happened to stop her. That anyone happened to be Olive, putting up quite a fight before seeming to lose balance or not get out of the way in time as Kit forcefully shoved them before quickly grabbing a flag and running away before a counterattack could occur.
It was always that getting back that would scare her, not prepared for whatever tricks the wheel and platform would be playing. But the rising third year seemed to survive, a sigh of relief as she brought another flag back to the base.

@Greta Fransson
One coral flag wasn't enough, oh no, it wasn't. Not if it hadn't lured a certain Durmstrang girl out of her hole just yet- where was she anyways? Theo failed to find her, but instead his gaze fell on another boy of his age who he had never seen before. At first Theo wasn't sure who he was- attacker from a different team or defender of this ship?- but on second thoughts, it didn't seem to make much of a difference anyway.
The moment the boy was distracted, Theo jumped forwards and pushed him, before he turned back to grab one more coral flag and ran. Adrenaline was pumping through his body at the indefinite feeling of being followed, chased, but only until he heard his name being called. His face turned in the direction of the shout, but it took him a moment to find Greta. A grin appeared on his face when he saw the girl wave a sapphire flag over her head, laughing, and he would wave the coral ones he had in response.
"Wir ist nicht fertig!" "We is not done!", he yelled back, now feeling even more competitive than before. Part of him was tempted to chase after her and try to steal the flags- in physical strength he would likely be able to beat her. Duelling skill didn't seem to help much in this game

And again, the moderator started another round. This time, though, EmmaLee had only one goal. Get through this blasted wall and sit down. She turned and saw that Kim, their fearless leader, had also not made it across the wall and, well, that kind of made her feel better, admittedly. At least she wasn't the only one having a tough time with it.
She took a deep breath, put her hands over her shoulders and her elbows together, then used her elbows to part the wall of water, making a run through the obstacle and finally making it to the other side.
She charged through to their side of the wall and stumbled onto the deck with a few heavy footfalls and a very wet plop as she hit the deck belly down at a run. All of this momentum caused to the slide, laughing hysterically, across the deck, past her remaining teammates, and into the railing on the other side where their own flags were stored. She popped up, shook herself like a dog, and plunked her flag into a space. "10 points!" She cheered, lifting her pale arms into the air and sitting down on a barrel to take a rest until the next round.
After this bout with the water and the last, she was thoroughly soaked and very happy that she had chosen a dark blue dress instead of a light one for this game. She hadn't realized how wet she was going to end up as she pushed a bunch of white bangs sticking to her forehead up and out on her eyes.
"Well, this is exciting." She said with a wide grin and a laugh.
