At this point, Dealla was more than halfway convinced that most of the students at this ball were completely insane. This included a dark-haired boy (Rafael D'Spacito) who was currently using the spreading flames on the ground to what - burn a bag? Was that the bag of another student? - and then started yelling at one of the oversized insects. Dee couldn't properly see his face in the flickering light of the fire, but she didn't think she would care to recognize him in the future, anyway.
The same was true for the girl (Anastasia Beckett) whose fire had finally been extinguished, and who now immediately launched herself to attack another student. Both of them seemed entirely mental, and both of them certainly weren't Ravenclaws.
Oh, and said student (Marion Davenport), instead of trying to help her friend who was unconscious on the ground, was attacking the arsonist boy.
"What is wrong with these people?"
She wasn't sure if she had said that thought out loud - it wouldn't be unlike her if she had - but either way, she did not expect a response.
With a disgusted shake of her head, Dee decided she'd better use her energy on someone who needed it, because apparently her efforts so far had been a complete waste.
As soon as she turned around, however, she was again disoriented by the chaos, the screams, the pain all around her. She was eleven years old - what was she even doing here? Why would she think she could help? She didn't know how to heal, nothing during their first year here had prepared her for this. How would she even start?
It was a scream for help, desperate and full of helplessness, that tore her out of her oncoming panic. It hadn't been directed at her - "Ruka" the boy in the green swallow-tailed dress coat (Jack Burnett) had screamed - but it helped her find her focus again.
At least she wasn't the only one who thought someone should help the unconscious boy, because as she started towards him, another student (Ruka Tân), wearing a dark green vest and a pair of grey jeans, came running. He was talking to - or rather at - the burnt boy, which Dee thought was rather useless, but then started applying a bright orange paste to the burns.
Burn-healing Paste, she recognized. They had learned about the paste in Potions class this year, and it had already been familiar to her since it had been a staple around her home. Her mother had probably made a batch of it every other month or so.
Finally, she thought, someone with half a brain.
But this was maybe not the right time to stand around judging people for not being useful. Dee mentally slapped herself and jogged over the last two steps, dropping down onto her knees next to them.
"We should try to get him to the Hospital Wing," she said, not bothering with introductions or other formalities. There was no place for those in a situation like this. "Burn-healing Paste is good but won't be enough."
As she spoke, the smell of burnt flesh entered her nose again, and Dealla nearly retched, but kept herself together. No time for this now. She could throw up later.
"I could help carrying him?" she offered, somewhat hesitantly. The burns looked even worse up close. Her first thought had been to try levitating him but upon closer inspection... Maybe that wasn't the best idea. The thought of trying to help the poor boy and potentially doing more damage made her feel sick to the stomach.
But it was no use - he had to be moved.

Bloody hell.
Every time one problem was solved, another arose. Both Ana and the boy (Victor) were no longer on fire, but unlike her, the boy wasn't moving at all. For a moment, Ivy was confused. Now was not the time to be lying on the floor - there were mosps flying everywhere, they needed to leave. Why wasn't anyone else trying to help him up? She moved forwards,... then she realised what everyone else was thinking. Ivy stopped dead in her tracks and her stomach dropped. All around her, panic and chaos arose. Ivy could hear and see everything, but for some reason, she couldn't move. She couldn't speak. She could only stare down at the boy's body in blank horror, terror filling her heart. Oh no. Oh no. Ohnoohnoohno.
The crying blonde (Marion) was screaming. Ivy didn't tell her to shut up this time. How could she, when this boy could be - could be - no! She didn't want to believe it; this was meant to be fun... this wasn't supposed to happen... none of this was meant to happen... why did such horrific things happen here? Do something! but the Gryffindor was frozen...
A boy she vaguely recognised (Jack) was yelling - something about burn salve and 'Ruka'. The psychotic dancing girl from earlier (Amara) had climbed on top of the boy and was now pumping his chest. And then she kissed him. Ivy wanted to slap her. Everyone in this place had the worst timing, but as she watched closely, she realised that she was trying to breathe air into the boy's lungs. God, even the psychopath is making herself useful.
The Gryffindor backed away slowly as a boy (Ruka) and a girl (Dealla) rushed to the scene, although her eyes were still trained on the boy's motionless body. She wanted to stay and help, but oh, what could she do? Ivy had never felt so useless and helpless in her life, and tears leaked out of her grey eyes as she stumbled backwards, still clutching the water goblets for some reason. Bile rose in the back of her throat, but it wasn't because of the smell of rotten flesh.
What broke her trance was a blur as Ana rushed past her and at the blonde, whom a nearby boy (Vladimir) would call "Marion" in an attempt to warn her. Ivy's grey eyes would widen as the boy lifted his wand in Ana's direction. Absolutely not. Her grip on the water goblets tightened and before she knew what she was doing, she ran at the boy, attempting to strike him over the head with the goblets. It probably wouldn't do much damage in the long run, but Ivy just needed to distract him for a moment... distract him from jinxing Ana...

Secret Blossom Ball
Open to interactions
Asteria wasn't one to attend large parties so when she heard the news of a secret blossom ball, she was reluctant to attend. It would almost definitely be loud and crowded and she would much rather spend her evening doing other things like reading or drawing in her dormitory or taking a nice walk around the grounds to clear her mind.
She should probably at least pop in for a little bit at least, to see what was going on. That was why the Ravenclaw ended up walking out to the Quidditch pitch on the evening of April 25th in a dress she liked the looks of but was actually quite itchy on her skin along with her book bag. It had taken a while for her to get ready and she had taken a bit of a detour both to minimize the chance of being the one person who gave the location of the ball away but also to clear her mind and reset herself for the upcoming event.
As she approached the Quidditch pitch, Asteria could definitely tell that something was going on inside. Why was there so much screaming though? And was that a flame? It sounded like complete chaos was ensuing inside. Something had almost certainly gone wrong inside. It would probably be in the first year's best interests to just flee and flee quickly. The people who got into trouble could deal with themselves.
They got themselves into trouble by deciding to go to this whole ball thing in the first place. The professors probably had a good reason to cancel the event but it was too late for that now. She wasn't planning on going to rat to the teachers, that just wasn't the type of person she was. She was planning on attending the event herself, after all. People did deserve to have a chance to have some fun even if it did have consequences.
That was the reason she had brought the book bag. Just in case anything happened to go wrong, Asteria had packed her wand along with a book if she got bored of the event. The young Ravenclaw reached her hand inside to retrieve her wand but she felt nothing there but the book. Why did she have to forget her wand today of all days? It was probably sitting right by her bed in her dormitory, mocking her at this very moment. Still, her curiosity wanted her to just go in for a moment to see what the problem even was.
Upon entering the Quidditch pitch, she froze. The place looked like a disaster zone. First of all, it was on fire. That was definitely not typical. Also, what even were those things? They seemed to be creatures, big, evil, insect-like creatures. Whatever they were, they looked absolutely terrifying, exactly the sort of magical creature that Asteria was scared of. Along with those, some certain people didn't seem to be helping the situation in the least bit. However, she couldn't seem to bring herself to do anything either. The first-year clutched her book bag tightly as her hair shifted to a light pink hue. Her fear of insects was definitely not going to help her here.

Crystal was mildly annoyed that the darn mosp wasn't distracted, and seemed to be laser focused on the other girl. But on the other hand, it seemed like she managed to distract another one. The thing followed the vase as she moved it around, and she was relieved to see it wasn't focused on a person anymore. So she carefully moved the vase of flowers to a different area and set it down, farther away from where it was originally. She made sure she didn't see any people around, that was if the mosp lost interest in the flowers, it would give the people around it some time to come up with a game plan. Satisfied with where she put the flowers, she let the spell drop. Causing the flower vase to carefully wobble before settling down where she set it.
Crystal turned towards mildred and the girl that was helping her, now the problem was to deal with their own mosp. She looked around, trying to come up with some idea to get rid of the thing. While her original idea was proven effective, it seemed that if a mosp was already too focused on someone it won't work. But it could always come in handy later, maybe when they try to get out, they could get the mosps away using the flowers. She needed something for here, and now. Her eyes landed on the chairs, both tables they were using had them. Both had them.
Crystal liked movies, she always enjoyed watching them with her father. So thanks to that, a crazy idea popped in her head. One of the movies her father always brought her to watch were the Star Wars movies. In some of the older movies, there was this one scene where these two ewoks smashed an enemy with two logs, smashing it. While they didn't have logs, if they both went at it at the same time, and crushed it, they might be able to deal with it. It would be rather effective. She waved her hands crazily towards the girl, trying to get her attention. She didn't want to yell, she didn't want to attract more attention than her wild movements would get her. She pointed towards herself, the girl, and then the chairs. Then made a whacking movement and pointed towards the bug, trying to get across what she wanted to say. Her plan was for the two of them to hit the bug at the same time with a chair. She gave a thumbs up and tilted her head, asking the girl if she understood.

“I think so, but I won't win any speed records, so I need you to protect us from those fowl creatures." Said Vincent, as he grabbed the camera bag and carefully pushed it across the floor towards Wyatt. "Could you carry this as well please, I wouldn't want her to have to part with her gear."
Wyatt picked the camera from the ground. Vincent was so careful with the camera, Wyatt wondered if the boy knew a thing or two about photography, but it wasn’t really the time to ask.
"I'm going to try to lift you and carry you out if here. I'm afraid that might hurt, but we don't have a choice. I apologize in advance. Wyatt here will hopefully guard us.”
“Guard is a term used lightly, but I will do my best.” He felt he had to clarify. Wyatt was anything but a warrior, but he wasn’t going to die, and he certainly wasn’t going to let anyone else in the little trio die either.
He reached into his jacket and pulled out his wand. Wyatt wasn’t exactly sure of what he was going to do with it, but it was better to have… just in case. He still held on to the table leg, though. It would likely do more damage than the wand.
“I am Vincent, by the way," he said to the girl with a small smile. "I'm not going to count, I'll just pick you up. Ready?" Vincent lifted the girl with relative ease. Wyatt was finding himself underestimating the boy again and again, and having to rethink everything he assumed about the boy every few seconds. Vincent looked to Wyatt. "I have this, she's not heavy at all. Let's go."
Wyatt nodded and started walking in front of Vincent to the exit. Table leg in his left hand, wand in his right, and camera bag slung across his shoulder, he continued looking over from time to time to check on the two behind himself. Unfortunately for everyone else, all the mosps were occupied (beside one in the air), but that was extremely fortunate for the trio. They were nearing the exit, though it was difficult to see as a thick layer of smoke was engulfing the area.
Wyatt turned his head to check on Vincent and the girl but saw Percival Gray, a boy he despised, laying against the food and refreshments table with a bloody arm.
“Gray!” He shouted.
What am I supposed to do, he thought. Leave him there for dead?
He bobbed the table leg up and down, kind of weighing it. It seemed heavy enough, good enough for a distraction, even if he missed the mosp. Oh, hell… I’m about to do something stupid. He threw the leg with his more powerful left arm and hoped for the best, he couldn’t see so clearly through the fog.
“If it sees me, get away as fast as possible,” he said to Vincent. He sounded like a Gryffindor, he rolled his eyes.

[/font]Interacting with @Alexis AsterionOpen to Interactions!Smoke was beginning to crawl across the pitch as Katrina had just cast fumos. It was a valid attempt, but perhaps this was not the ideal situation to use that particular spell in. As the flowers left River’s arm, all she could hope was for the mosp to be more interested in the decorations than the guests. And also to hope that the flowers wouldn’t actually hit the bug, because that would probably not be very helpful in their position. The flowers flew ever so gracefully past the creature and landed a bit away from the others. The big moth turned after them and seemed to lose any attention previously set on Katrina and the others. It worked out, and now was their chance of getting away from the bastard. Leaving wasn’t an option for River, at least not yet. She wanted to see where all this would go. Though, seeing anything as the fog continued to spread was becoming harder by the second. Brooms. That had been the plan, at least that would give her some sort of a view of the blossom ball, that had once more gone to shit. But who are surprised at this point.
The redhead began heading for the entrance where the brooms were stocked up. Hopefully there would be any brooms available there. «You joining to go get those brooms?», River asked the girl who’d mentioned the brooms earlier. «It’ll give us a better view, and a faster escape for that matter», she added as she walked off toward the brooms.
Katrina, being the heroic gryffindor she was, went right off to help put out someone on fire. A shudder went down her spine as she saw the blazing sight, fires seemed to be a trend here.
If River came to find a broom, she would fly up above the pitch and look around for anything noticeable. Scanning the pitch filling up with smoke from multiple sources at this point. What a mess this ball had come to. River wasn’t complaining though. It was quite a bit more exciting than if nothing was to happen at the event at all.
If she came to notice that no brooms were there, she’d go up to the quidditch stands to get a better view. She hoped that there was perhaps less chaos up there, but something told her that wasn’t the case.
River couldn’t help but wonder why the mosps had made it to the pitch in the first place. What had drawn them out from the forest? Perhaps it was the distant sounds of music and students chatting out into the night, ot maybe it was the lights coming from the candles, or even the flowers… who knew.Action || Go to the broom stash and fly above the pitch to look around

Santario was lithe and, as such, had a smaller frame even if she was taller for her age. The girl probably would lose a weight contest against a sack of potatoes, even if she was soaking wet. She allowed her bag to be taken away, moving her hand so the strap would come off of her arm. She didn’t know either of these boys, and a part of her still didn’t trust them. She was taking Reaper’s advice to heart about the photographs of the night, trying to make sure the camera bag stayed with her at all times. Somehow the boy’s words made her feel like having them could put her in danger, and why not? It was extremely possible more than a few people here might want pictures of themselves removed.Interacting| @Vincent d'Arque | @Wyatt Starkey

“Santario.” She replied to another name, learned as she nodded her head to his question of being ready. An arm slipped under her legs, resting in the ditches of her knees and the other across her upper back. Her free arm, still not letting go of her wand, moved to rest over the back of his shoulders, offering better stability and balance on his end, even if she was light. As he lifted her though the pain in her chest was renewed with vigor. “SON OF A-” She exclaimed, biting her lip before the expletive escaped. She took a deep breath, or as deep of a breath as she could take. Looking up at Vincent when he asked her if she could handle it. “I’ll be fine… It’s less painful than if I walked and faster.” Less dead too probably who knew what this venom was or what it would do overtime. Maybe it wouldn’t kill her, maybe it would do permanent damage, maybe it would do nothing and go away on its own, or maybe she would have passed out somewhere on the way to the infirmary. Who knows? Hopefully, she didn’t have to find out.
Then the Wyatt boy ran off with her bag and the intense look in her eyes could be far more attributed to anger than pain. “OI! DON’T RUN OFF WITH MY BAG!” She winced the yell hurting more than helping anyone. Reaper was close to them, right? Would he be able to hear and maybe run interference now that someone saved him from his helpless dancing?

@Wyatt Starkey
@Santario Martin
Vincent heard Wyatt promise them to give it his all trying to protect them, reassuring him once again. Wyatt definitely seemed the loyal type and he showed a lot of courage. As Vincent carefully grabbed the wounded girl in order to lift her off the ground, he heard her introduce herself as Santario. A name Vincent had never heard before, but he had to admit he liked it instantly. She rested her free arm, armed with a wand, on his shoulders and he got up, surprised by his own strength. The movement made Santario swear in agony, but she bit her lip to avoid finishing it completely. Instead she said she’d be fine. Vincent looked at her with both compassion and admiration. Despite the fact she was obviously in a world of pain, she still managed to stay politely enough to reply to him that she was fine – which she clearly was not – and on top of that she was brave enough to endure this ordeal. Even though the other option – staying behind – would most likely had a way more grim outcome, it still take quite some bravery to bite through this pain.
Vincent wasted no time and started to walk towards the exit, towards safety, Santario tightly in his arms, with Wyatt preceding them like a true bodyguard securing a free passage. If he could keep up the pace and wouldn’t have to evade or dodge anything – or anyone for that matter - he should have no problem reaching the safe zone outside of the stadium. As they got closer to the exit the smoke, that had been surrounding them all the time, seemed to thicken. Vincent didn’t want to take any chances, so he never stopped to look behind him, but seeing as Wyatt looked over his shoulder to check every now and then he assumed the bugs were otherwise occupied or perhaps not even interested in the trio trying to make their way out. He trusted Wyatt had their backs covered. He did glance to the side every now and then, but so far both their left and their right side seemed to be clear from any threats.
Suddenly he heard Wyatt, who was looking back to check the premises, yell a name. Vincent couldn’t make it out, but as he followed Wyatt’s gaze he noticed a boy laying on the floor against a table. One of the creatures seemed to have zoomed in on him, posing a serious threat. He looked back at Wyatt who had lifted his makeshift club, bobbing it up and down, as if he was deciding what to do with it. Or preparing an attack… Vincent opened his mouth to react to what he saw, but was too late. He saw the club switch hands, Wyatt take aim and then throwing it towards the angry looking bug.
“If it sees me, get away as fast as possible.”
The words, almost heedlessly muttered, hit Vincent like a jackhammer. This didn’t sound good at all, but he knew he was unable to stop the event now. It was a brave act, trying to safe another person, but there could be serious consequences to it. If the club killed the creature, it’d be a fantastic result. The other boy was saved from what would probably be a horrible attack, with perhaps life threatening injuries. However if it didn’t kill it or, even worse, missed it altogether the three of them would very likely be in grave danger. Wyatt seemed to have realized that as well and taken precautions to avoid that, because right after he had thrown the club Vincent saw him prepare to run away from him – and Santario – if the creature would shift its focus and anger towards him.
Santario, who had of course witnessed it happening as well, started to squirm in Vincent’s arms yelling at Wyatt to not run off with her bag. She obviously didn't want to part with it, or its contents. Vincent, rather surprised she still favored the camera bag over her own safety now that things had changed for the worst, cast her a short glance before taking a giant step towards Wyatt. He wondered what would be in that bag that was so significant to her, but immediately discarded the thought. Not here, not now. Besides, it was none of his business to begin with. Instead he addressed his new friend. “Wyatt, although I don’t like you putting yourself in danger like this, I admire your courage. I wish you good luck and I promise I’ll get back for you.” He called out to the boy, as loudly as he dared, uncertain how the flying hazards would react to audible stimuli. “One thing though, please put the camera bag in Santario’s lap, or else neither of us will make it out. She isn’t going to let herself be carried out without it.” Hoping Wyatt had heard him, Vincent took another step towards him, looking at the other boy in anticipation.

Wyatt looked down and noticed he had the camera bag slung across his shoulder. He had noticed how much care Vincent treated the camera with, and knew he couldn’t just toss it. He carefully took it off and placed it into the girl’s lap before running as fast as he could to the food and refreshments table.
He couldn’t believe he was trying to help Percival Gray. He just couldn’t walk past as he witnessed another person get stung by one of those giant things. The boy was bleeding, it didn't look like he could fend for himself.
Wyatt looked at the mosp and saw he’d hit somewhere around the right of its midsection, where its legs were. He was just glad he hit the thing. Wyatt noticed the mosp was… bleeding! He smiled, but not for long. It was flying towards Wyatt at top speed, and the boy had no idea what to do. Then, it hit him. He didn’t know any defense spells, really, but there was a spell he’d been told should never be used on living things.
Wyatt flung out his wand arm and shouted, “reparo!”
The mosp let out awful noises of pain, so which Wyatt smirked. The thing fell to the ground with a loud thud. Wyatt said “tarantallegra,” just to add salt to the wound. The thing began flailing around in an organized way, squealing all the way.
Wyatt broke the spell, and when he did, the mosp laid on the ground, squealing deafeningly loud. He ran to Percival’s side.
“You’ve got to get up because I’m not carrying you,” he said clearly.

Enters from the Stands on her Tinderblast, flying in
Diving from the Stands, Nico made her way to what might have been the center of the chaos. Students were scattering and honestly, there seemed to be quite some blood. Crap. Don't lose your cool, Nico. You need to help them. Set an example. Or atleast, show them that they can depend on you.
Nico didn't know where to go first. But this- Wait.. Was this.. Victor Moore? What happened to him?! A few other students were already tending to his wounds but the clock was ticking. The dhampir had no idea how long he had been knocked out and that idea made her worry even more. Swiftly, the Prefect flew closer to them, her Tinderblast staying a meter from the ground, hovering near them.
'Hey! W-What happened to him? He looks...' The redhead let her eyes slide over the wounds of burns all over his body. Did the big bugs do this? No.. On the Stands she knew that the bugs didn't burn anyone.. they only seemed to sting and bite. Some student must've thought this was the best option and... fire spread. Probably. 'He looks... terrible. I have a broom! Maybe try and put him on it and let him lean on me. I'll fly as fast as I can...' Nico felt desperate. The last time she saw Victor, they were in the abandoned bathrooms. He had... given her a weird look. Did she not hide it well enough? Her... condition? Nevermind that. He seemed to be near to death and there was no time to lose. 'Are you both okey?'
