The Enchanted Maze
Just as he had turned Vlad down, the weirdo had burst into a fit of sneezes. Who the fuck sneezes when trying to kiss someone? Gabriel stared him dead in the eyes. "Should've backed down when I hesitated the first time. Can we just go before whoever did this to you comes back?" Spoken too soon, as Vladislav had to run his mouth. "Dude will you just shut up.." He muttered before the figure of a goblin he knew all too well appeared.
He buried his face in his hands as the two argued. This was truly embarrassing, what would anyone think if they stumbled upon this ridiculous scene. Before he knew it, Clark overstepped the line and lit the hedges on fire above Vladislav's head. "I appreciate the rescue, but how about we just leave.." He started to walk towards Clark, but the little pest would not let it go.
He steadied himself before marching towards the annoying russian kid. "You wanna kiss? Fine, just leave us alone." He leaned in and a split second later, he swung at his jaw. "You see, magic would have been easier since we are wizards, but that was more satisfying."
He grabbed his wand from his back pocket and pointed it straight between his eyes. "Now, its 2 on 1. I will use magic now if you make me, or you can leave and spare yourself more humiliation." Now this was truly satisfying, and he hoped Clark was a tad impressed.

The Enchanted Maze
The maze seemed to I looked around. Oh well, you avoided critical embarresment by a decibel. Good for you. Just then, I blinked. The leaves reflected red, and I heard a wail. I took out my wand. "Hmm?" I said, confused. I looked up. "By the... What the cheese is going on?"
I grabbed my thorn and shoved it into the greenery. "Maze, listen." It shook. "You will listen to me whether you like it or not." I bristled. "You will leave my path unobstructed, you hear? Or so help me, your tiny bit of consciousness won't last for very long. I will tear your body leaf by leaf! Leaf by leaf, you understand?" I very well couldn't, but it didn't know that. "All right, away, the doomed boy goes. Wand in hand, thorn in the other, I dashed toward the wail and I smashed into a hedge.
I expoded in curses, although in the hedge it sounded like, "Tufk! Sithe! Dinm this! Yio lettle..." I took my head out of the hedge and headed the right direction. I could save the maze for later. Right now, a fellow student was in danger. A thousand thoughts whirled through my mind. Poor little Agnus, played hero and got impaled by a thorn. Poor Agnus, drowned in the lake. Poor Agnus, swimming in cheese. Well, actually, that last one didn't sound so bad. The bright red sparks grew brighter, and brighter, and I saw a light that looked like someone had casted Lumos. Just then I ran around the corner and there I saw a nightmare. Darkness. Pure, terrible, darkness.
I faintly saw a boy facing it, and his wand glowing. The creature must have made the wail. I froze as it turned towards me, and all my childhood fears came in my mind. So I did the only rational thing. I stabbed it with the thorn.

-----After pulling Naoki into the maze, she got a little timid. "I'm not scared" she said out of nowhere. She took out her wand and flourished her wand about to empathize her point, shaking slightly and holding onto Naoki tighter. "Not scared" she repeated. They walked in silence for awhile before she spoke again "Hmmm, which way?" she said before dragging Naoki left.
As they continued she saw something move out of the corner of her eye. She came to a halt and looked in the direction she saw the movement. The movement seemed to be coming from the hedge. At closer glance it seemed to be a vine moving on the hedge. She poked it with her wand, which she soon found out was a stupid mistake. As quick as a flash the plant wrapped around her wrist. She let out a loud, high pitched scream. "OH MY GOD HELP, DO SOMETHING NAOKI" she shouted at the boy wiggling in the plants tight grip. She desperately pulled at the vine to get it to release her but her attempts were no use. She kept kicking and screaming but the vine just got tighter and slowly snaked her way further up her arm.

A strong light erupted from Maila's wand. A well cast Lumos. The curly haired girl had to suppress her triumphing smile since she had not cast this spell out of fun and showing off. She had been trying to look at the plant in front of her, which she had suspected to be the culprit of this dizzying air. A fresh breeze hit her as she continued to look at the plant in front of her. It was a Puffapod, a plant that she had read about. However, this one seemed to be still as the night. Asleep in it's place between the leafs. Perhaps it was waiting for it's inspector to turn off the light before continuing it's game but as long as Maila looked at it, it did nothing. Maila puffed out a breath between her lips silently and with her concentration on her surroundings growing, without even noticing, the light from her wand vanished and Maila started walking. She was unsure if her company had even still been there but she would surely see them again soon enough. Now she just wanted to get to the banquet. Her legs carried her through the maze rather fastly and she just went wherever her intuition led her. Red was flashing beneath the dress with every step she took. Valentin had been right, the dress did look like stars had been caught in it's fabric. When Maila looked up again, there was still nothing else but hedges around her. She took several more turns until she just stopped somewhere in the maze. What were her options now? What could she do to get out of here?

The Enchanted Maze
@Ava Winchect was familiar with the idea of staying away from fire; if the maze had human features, it would be laughing cruelly at the young Slytherin girl. Although some people tried their own tricks and were successful, others (@Bubba McGarry and @Samantha Salwis) were less fortunate and could not find the exit or entrance.
Without noticing any vines dangling nearby that could have been disguised as an attack the maze had planned for her, Alora J. Graves was seeking to discover a new path through the maze.
Sneaky attack on Alora:

The vine successfully snuck up on the young woman, grabbed her leg, and caused her to trip.Cognizant of additional traps Even though she did nothing wrong, @Alora J. Graves, everyone is a sinner in the eyes of death, therefore punishment had to be meted out.
Some individuals appeared to have encountered the maze's and life's doom on other maze paths. None of the events that took place at Hogwarts ever went wrong. @André Lebedev, @Rebecca Loops, and @Duvessa Ember were seen by the shadow, which then became agitated and sought to harm Andre. The young child who was idly exploring the area appeared to have cast Lumos without knowing what awaited him. As a result of its success, retribution was now inescapable. At the exact same time, Rebecca Loops had made a distress call by casting a charm to call for help. Uncertain of who saw it, support was badly needed at this time because the first years were not prepared for death and had to fight against it.
Let's watch what happens to Andre, who is being attacked by the shadow, when it is ready to strike him.

The blow hits Andre in the stomach immediately as he was unable to evade it!!!
Then, as it approached Rebecca Loops, it grabbed him by the nape and slowly lifted him to its chest while emitting a loud beastly groan that reverberated throughout the entire maze, generating some disturbance and bringing attention to itself. A Human Sacrifice. The other boy was grabbed by the nape and thrown sideways by The Shadow, who was gazing slowly into his eyes as he did so, forcing him to crash into the hedge. However, the main target was Duvessa Ember, and these others were only getting in the way. Between everyone there at the scene at the time, aid was required; someone had to help and let it shine. The professors are nowhere to be seen. Hogwarts senior students who are capable of taking this monster down are also no where to be spotted. Even though it was obvious that the first years were fighting a losing battle, they clearly held their own.
While Theodore Duncain (@Opelia Winters) had previously been able to manoeuvre around the toadstool with some flexibility, he now seemed to be taking no nonsense. The boy then pulled out his wand, which displayed the strength of a true wizard, shouting "Tarantallegra!" as he cast a spell onto the toadstool as it headed straight for him.

With all the disagreements between @Clark Baird, Vladislav Gunther, and Gabriel Palmer, it appeared as though a love triangle had formed. Vladislav Gunther heard Clark exclaim, "You don't belong here." . The youngster appeared to have drawn his wand from wherever he had kept it, though, He took aim at Vladislav, but it was all an illusion. The maze was Clark's target for a cast of Incendio.

Although Clark had not intended to target Vladislav with his wand, it appears that the maze had a way out of what might be described as "the terror of Clark Baird, the troublemaker." The spell failed to hit the target, and it appears that Clark did not check his precision before casting; as a result, the spell shot above the maze and dissipated instantly.
The maze had produced a thunderous heinous chuckle. A simple illusion created to scare everyone in the maze, as it were. Only the maze experienced the unexpected, severe wind; other regions outside were unaffected. The temperature then abruptly dropped due to the turbulent maze, giving everyone inside shivers. All the routes were clear because the mild wind from only a few minutes earlier had cleared the gas of the puffapods.
Vladislav sought to cast incendio at the maze while bizarre events were occurring there so let us assess his odds of success:

The two boys appeared to have put oil on their hands today, as evidenced by the accuracy of their spell casting, which was comparable to that of an intoxicated individual except that they were young children and had no prior experience with liquor. On the other side, the astronomy professor seemed to despise the maze to the point of wanting to burn it down. The professor attempted to cast the Scorching spell by expertly waving his wand. It is a more powerful magic than what Vlad and Clark both attempted to perform.

On the other hand, the maze began to burn, and only in one area of it did a loud illusionary shriek occur that was loud enough for those within Hogwarts and in other areas of the ball to hear. The maze, however, was having none of it and sent out numerous vines that rose to assault Professor Baird. Since the labyrinth lacked regeneration abilities, it continued to burn, but the flames advanced slowly. The anguish was also felt by the hedge.

In an effort to harm Professor Baird, numerous vines encase him at once. This time, the maze showed no leniency. It was harmed as the load wailed louder, and everyone at Hogwarts, including the creatures who lived in the Forbidden Forest, could hear it. Therefore, this was a chance for Hogwarts to unite and fight the evil maze together. This was a time for professors and students to stand together and protect one another.
@Ruby Cazares had to clear a path for herself in order to leave the location because other people had sought to flee the maze and play far from danger during these difficult times.

The fifth year Slytherin appears to be successful. The Maze missed its intended target, preventing the Vines from harming the young woman. Having said that, a blossom from one vine fell through and was left in front of Ruby. It believes that she is a exceptional witch who has survived terror.

@Gabriel Palmer appears to have failed miserably in his attempt to punch Vladislav Gunther since he missed the mark.
It was reasonable to say that courage was necessary for bravery, yet among all the bravery, young Ravenclaw may employ wisdom to their advantage (@Agnus Almalik). Out of boldness, he had tried to stab the shadow, but something stopped him! like a vine on the path that is immobile and does nothing. Without the young man's awareness, it had been on his route.

@Phantom Witherstone and @Naoki Vickers (My Children) were merely navigating the maze and exploring it without incident up until this point, but the vine in Phantom's path had been sitting quiescent and doing nothing at all. Phantom, though, didn't appear to be aware of the vine in her way;

Phantom tripped, which was terrible, but when the maze tried to attack Naoki and it missed its target, giving the pair the chance to flee for their life if they can.
Some people were looking for an exit at this time, so their quest seemed to go on forever. The way never clears for everyone; it clears for the fortunate. However, Maila Aurora Laine (@Beatrice Dupont) cannot be juxtaposed with the other. The lass appeared to have the stars counting in her favour after only a few attempts at finding a way out.
ReducioHedge DC: 17
Dice Check: d20 → [d20 : 17] = 17 → Success
Maila found her way out after the trail had become clear. Having said that, she would discover a lovely flower like Ruby's as soon as she exits the maze.
Despite the fact that certain narratives had lovely conclusions, for some folks it was a nightmare. The maze was engulfing in flames and reducing to ashes(Although not all of it). All around, there were audible shrieks and screams as an illusion the mazed caused. Professor Baird would be the hero but superheroes still require individuals who can assist them. The maze's burning was a catastrophe, and Hogwarts must fend off fear and defend itself against the maze!

ft. @Alora J. Graves
As the girl introduced herself, Jaime smiled at her name. Alora. It sounded very elegant, and Jaime barely held herself back from trying it out on her own tounge.
"This is my first year here," admitted Alora, pulling Jaime out of her musings. "You?"
"Likewise," she replied. Her foot restless, as ever, was busy digging around in the dirt when she spoke again. "Though, it's getting to be near the end of the year, isn't it?"
As she said it, Jaime realised how true that was. It seemed like everything had passed by so quickly, and now they were almost ready to leave. Well, maybe that was an exaggeration, but two months was not a lot of time. Soon, summer would kick in, students would head home, and they would all come back in September as... second years. How strange the thought was. If this year passed by so fast, she could only imagine how quickly the rest of the years would go by. The whole thing made becoming an adult seem more scarily approaching than it did before.
However, Jaime was definitely getting ahead of herself. After all, if they didn't find their way out of this maze, they'd be going nowhere, no matter how fast time sped by.
"Maybe we should try that way," suggested Alora, pointing towards a recently opened corridor. Thank goodness for you, Jaime thought, hurrying over to the gap before it closed. Alora followed behind, but Jaime didn't make it two steps before she heard a sharp thump from behind her: once again, Alora had fallen.
"You okay?" she questioned, eyes wide and concerned, "It's like this maze has something against you..."

Annika sneers at the annoying smirk the boy puts on, but a quick look up and down at their apparent height difference helps to put a damper on her annoyance and replace it with amusement. He turns around and gives a cocky little wave for the girl to follow. She rolls her eyes before picking up her dress and catching up.
“You’re really starting to get on my nerves.” she mumbled, half hoping he had actually heard her. “Yknow, I bet you’re as crap at navigating as you are Broom Racing.”
She followed close behind for a bit longer. Unfortunately, she wasn’t looking very close at where she was going, and a loose vine from one of the maze walls snagged onto the heel of her shoe. She went falling forward, just barely being able to catch herself on her hands before looking back to the vine that now seemed to be wrapped entirely around her ankle.
“Ugh, stupid heels,” she huffed under her breath. She reached forward, trying to untie the vine from around her ankle, but the stupid thing just wouldn’t budge, no matter how hard she tugged and pulled.
She sighed heavily before looking back to her only option with quite the displeased look. She hated asking Nikolai for help, absolutely hated it. But, seeing as there was no one else near them at the time, she had no other choice. “Mind not being an ass for once and help me out?”Stats: EVA - 9 | STR - 4 | WIS - 6 | ARC - 4 | ACC - 6 | STA - 8Inventory: Wand─────────────────────────

Grin widening, Dee nodded agreeably at Theo's objection. "But they also won't be bored then, will they? See, we're both right." Which was a little less fun than just being right herself, but she was willing to share the win with Theo. They seemed to have a similar streak.
This was confirmed a few moments later, when he once again turned words back on her, in quite a similar manner as she would've done. Yet, she waved the argument away with a grin and a wink. "Ah, but you see, it's a double bluff. Perhaps I actually want to encounter them, so by acting like I am avoiding them, I am actually baiting them instead." She nodded seriously, her eyes shining bright with laughter. "Only more adventure for us, huh?"
Theo's fashion comment was received with a giggle and a quick twirl, setting her skirts spinning, before she raised an eyebrow at her new friend's outfit. "Mine, certainly. Yours..." She raised her hand, fingers splayed, then wobbled it uncertainly. "Eh. Shirt and jeans? The cloak might actually improve things." The teasing edge in her voice quickly gave way to the laughter that seemed to be bubbling in her chest ever since this conversation had started.
"Considering I only talked about taking my money back, it appears that you have stolen this poor girl's money first," she shot back, flicking a finger at the dramatic hand. "But considering that I don't remember missing any money, I think the drinks sound like a good deal." Not that he'd be paying for anything, either, but for the sake of the argument, she'd take it as a win.
Their banter was rudely interrupted as something shot - no, jumped - out of the dark, and both of them spent a moment ducking out of the way. What the hell? What was... oh. Dee blinked and burst out laughing as her eyes managed to pick out the jumping mushroom, which immediately jumped a little more when it was hit by Theo's spell. "Ah, yes, the dangers of Hogwarts," she observed theatrically, then grabbed for Theo's arm to pull him along. "Quick, we must flee from the fearsome monsters that lurk in the dark!" Or perhaps she should catch the thing to use in one of her potions instead. Not that she or Theo were in need of any Scintillation Solution.

The Enchanted Maze

Date: 4/21/23| Language: Russian / English | iNPC: Nikolai Ryzhkov
───────────────────────────────────────────────The muttered complaint from his unfortunate companion is only just audible under the quiet murmur of other maze-goers. It draws a small, satisfied smirk nonetheless. Nikolai is readying another sarcastic response when Annika follows the comment up with a jab at his racing skills. Now that gets a proper response.
Nikolai turns to quickly level her with an unamused glare. "Think you might be confusing me with your own skills. Or lack thereof." The grin is slow to reappear. "Not that I can really blame you, but envy doesn't suit you," he shoots back, a sardonic lilt coloring the words before looking forward once more. Difficult as it was to ignore her with such close proximity, the effort was at least made. He walks confidently forward, examining the maze as best he can to try and find the way out. It'd become a matter of pride now.
It seems as though no time at all passes before Nikolai hears Annika speak up again. It takes nothing short of a monumental effort to hold back an audible sigh. He just wants the night to end, this was proving to not be worth the effort. The reluctant plea for help finally draws his full attention, the unexpectedness catching him off guard. Slowing to a stop a few paces ahead, the boy turns to look at his nearly prone schoolmate. He blinks at her in baffled confusion for a moment before taking note of the vine latching onto one ankle. Ah. That'd do it. As tempting as it was to soak up the moment just a little longer, he'd be hard pressed to leave anyone to the perils of Hogwarts.
"Now that's a pretty big ask," he quips, stepping closer to crouch down and peer at the vine. "But you definitely look as though you need the help. And I'm not that shitty." Nikolai dons an amused smirk as he draws his wand from within his suit jacket. "You can owe me one though." Levelling his wand at a section of the wand a few inches away from where it was holding on, a quiet "Flipendo" is muttered with a quick flourish.
